Abstract

Learning is a process of interaction between students and teachers, with lesson materials, delivery methods, learning strategies and learning resources in a learning environment. The success of learning can be seen through the level of success in achieving educational goals. Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills needed by themselves, society, nation and state, and have global mindset. The implementation of learning with the case method model is carried out to overcome the problems that arise as a result of the Limited Face-to-face Learning (PTMT) policy, such as less active student learning activities, low student learning responses and low student learning outcomes. Junior high school students belonging to the Generation Z category have an attitude of openness, this generation accepts various views and mindsets, causing them to easily accept diversity and differences in views. As a result, Gen Z becomes difficult to define themselves, selfidentity changes based on the factors that influence their thinking. Therefore, it is very important to restore national identity or introduce the cultural identity of the surrounding community so as not to be eroded by the development of the outside world which makes generation Z forget local culture, one of which is the Mandailing Tribe Culture in North Sumatra. The development research uses the ADDIE Model by integrating the Local Culture of the Mandailing Tribe in North Sumatra in developing the Mathematics LKPD for Grade VII Junior High Schools based on students' initial perceptions of the current condition of Generation Z. The use of the Case Method approach aims to improve students' critical thinking skills based on the cases presented in the teaching materials.

Abstract

This research is motivated by various problems related to the quality and relevance of Indonesian education which are the main issues. Indicators of quality education are marked by graduates who have superior competencies and are able to compete in the business world and industry for graduates from Vocational Secondary Education. Quality vocational education applying quality standards can contribute to the country's economic development, but it still cannot be realized optimally at the time of its implementation. Such conditions occur in SMK graduates in Indonesia so that the open unemployment of SMK graduates is getting bigger. It is interesting to do further research to find out why and how this happened and find solutions to the problems faced. Dual Based Assessment (DuBA) on the vocational skills aspect is expected to be a solution in ensuring the quality of skills at the Center of Excellence Vocational High School and Vocational Schools in general. In particular, this study describes and analyzes the "Daming Cycle" quality management approach from William Edward Deming, with its management principles approach which include: Plan, Do, Check and Action Dual Based Assessment in Improving Skills Quality at SMK Center of Excellence. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach through interview data collection techniques, documentation studies and observations at the research location of Pertiwi Kuningan Vocational School, West Java. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. The data obtained were then reduced, presented, and concluded. The results of the research generally reveal that management functions have been carried out but their implementation has not been fully implemented. Specific conclusions show (1) Planning: carrying out tutorial preparation meetings and tutor evaluations. (2) Organizing: determine the standardization of Tutors, standardization of recruitment, employment contracts, letters of assignment, and decrees for Tutors Tutons, and letters of assignments for Tutors Tuwebs. (3) Mobilization: organizing Tutor training and refreshment, Whatsapp Group communication, providing reminders and motivation, (4). Controlling: Tuton tutors do not have a routine control schedule yet. Tuweb tutors have a regular control schedule. (5) There are obstacles and solutions as well as future improvements. From these general and specific conclusions, the researcher recommends the Tutor management model to maximize the Tutor management which will have implications for improving the Tutor's performance in managing the Tutorial class.
