Abstract

Eksplorasi ide sebagai bagian dari disposisi matematis memiliki peran penting bagi siswa. Dengan kemampuan eksplorasi ide, siswa akan mampu memecahkan soal matematika secara mandiri dan kreatif untuk mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran matematika. Namun berdasarkan studi pendahuluan diketahui kemampuan eksplorasi ide siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi pecahan masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan instrument tes kognitif dengan membuktikan validitas dan reliabilitas konstruk instrumen tes eksplorasi ide materi pecahan di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif secara cross sectional dengan 307 siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan analisis faktor konfirmasi dengan software SPSS 26 dan Lisrel 8.80 untuk mengetahui nilai indeks daya beda dan nilai muatan faktor yang kemudian digunakan untuk menemukan nilai korelasi antar dimensi (AVE), validitas konstruk dan reliabilitas instrumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat 12 butir soal valid secara konstruk dan reliabel. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi dan rekomendasi dalam penggunaan instrument tes berbasis eksplorasi ide di sekolah dasar. Exploration of ideas as part of a mathematical disposition is essential for students. With the ability to explore ideas, students can solve math problems independently and creatively to support the success of learning mathematics. However, based on a preliminary study shows that student's ability to explore ideas in solving word problems on fractions is still low. This study aims to develop by proving the construct validity and reliability of the exploratory test instrument for ideas on fractional material in elementary schools. The method in this study was quantitative with a cross-sectional method with 307 students as research subjects. Data analysis was carried out by confirming factor analysis using SPSS 26 and Lisrel 8.80 software to determine the value of the differential index and factor loading values which can then be used to find the inter-dimensional correlation (AVE) values, construct validity, and instrument reliability. Of the 35 items, 17 questions have high discriminatory power to be analyzed using Lisrel 8.80. The results showed that 12 items were stated to be constructively valid and reliable. This study provides implications and recommendations for using test instruments based on idea exploration in elementary schools.

Abstract

Quizizz sebagai aplikasi evaluasi memiliki peranan penting untuk meningkatkan minat belajar dan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Di Indonesia, sudah terdapat beberapa guru menggunakan aplikasi tersebut, namun penggunaan secara luas masih belum optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan respons, minat belajar, dan kemampuan pemahaman konsep bangun datar siswa SMP berbantuan aplikasi Quizizz. Penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah 30 siswa SMP. Data diperoleh dari angket dan tes. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menghitung total skor respons, minat belajar, dan pemahaman konsep siswa yang dikonversi pada skala 100 dan dikategorilan sangat baik, baik, cukup, dan kurang baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan respons dan minat belajar siswa pada pembelajaran bangun datar menggunakan Quizizz berkategori baik. Rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep bangun datar siswa sebesar 66 berkategori cukup baik. Dengan demikian, guru diharapkan menggunakan Quizizz dalam pembelajaran dan evaluasinya sehingga dapat meningkatkan minat siswa belajar dan berlatih kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika. Quizizz as an evaluation application has an important role in increasing students' interest in learning and understanding mathematical concepts. In Indonesia, there are already several teachers using the application, but its use hasn’t been maximized. The purpose of this study was to describe the response, interest in learning, and the ability to understand the concept of two-dimensional figures for junior high school students with the help of the Quizizz application. This study was quantitative descriptive. The participants were 30 junior high school students. The data were obtained from questionnaires and tests. The data were analyzed using a quantitative descriptive technique by calculating the total response score, learning interest, and students' conceptual understanding converted on a scale of 100 and categorized as very good, good, fairly good, and poor. The results showed that the responses and students' interest in learning two-dimensional figures using Quizizz were in a good category. The average ability to understand the concept of two-dimensional shapes of 66 students was in a fairly good category. The teachers were expected to use Quizizz in their learning and evaluation so that it could increase students' interest in learning and practicing their ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Materi diferensial banyak digunakan sebagai prasyarat pada materi lain dan mata kuliah lain. Namun tidak sedikit mahasiswa yang merasa kesulitan dalam mempelajarinya. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini adalah mendeskripsikan kesalahan-kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah diferensial berdasarkan teori Castolan. Teori Castolan meliputi kesalahan konsep, kesalahan prosedur, dan kesalahan teknik. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah matematika dasar. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode tes dan wawancara dengan instrumen pendukung berupa tiga soal tes masalah deferensial dan pedoman wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa berdasarkan teori Castolan sebagian besar mahasiswa melakukan kesalahan strategi dan kesalahan hitung dan sebagian kecil melakukan kesalahan konsep. Kesalahan konsep terjadi saat mahasiswa salah menentukan rumus. Kesalahan strategi terjadi saat mahasiswa salah menggunakan rumus, tidak mampu menyelesaikan sampai bentuk yang sederhana serta ada data yang hilang. Sedangkan kesalahan hitung sebagian besar karena salah menulis atau menghitung. Adapun penyebab terjadinya kesalan tersebut karena kurang memahami konsep, belum terbiasa menyelesaikan soal yang membutuhkan memiliki keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, serta kurang teliti Dengan mengetahui kesalahan serta penyebabnya dapat menumbuhkembangkan kreativitas dosen untuk mengatasi kesulitan yang dihadapi mahasiswa. Differential material is widely used as a prerequisite for other materials and other courses. But not a few students who find it difficult to learn it. Therefore, the purpose of this qualitative descriptive research is to describe students’ mistakes in solving differential problems based on the Castor theory. Castor’s theory includes conceptual errors, procedural errors, and technical errors. The research was conducted on students participating in basic mathematics courses. Data was collected by test and interview methods. The supporting instruments used were three differential problem tests and an interview guide. The student answers were then analyzed to see which represented the most errors. Test the validity of the data using technical triangulation. Data were analyzed with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study found that most students made procedural and technical errors, and a few made conceptual errors. Conceptual errors occur when students incorrectly determine the formula. Strategy errors occur when students use the wrong formula, are unable to complete a simple form, and there is missing data. While the technical errors are mostly due to wrong writing or counting. The cause of this errors is because they do not understand the concept, are not used to solving problems that require high-level thinking skills and are not thorough.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran adalah suatu alat yang bisa membantu proses belajar mengajar, dan sekaligus memiliki fungsi memperjelas makna yang disampaikan dalam sebuah proses pembelajaran, sehingga tercapai tujuan pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran hendaknya mengikuti arus perkembangan teknologi. Salah satu pengembangan media berbasis teknologi ialah game edukasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran game Titungan berbasis android. Pengembangan Media pembelajaran ini menggunakan metode RnD (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluation). Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar validasi media, lembar kepraktisan, pretest, posttest, dan lembar respon siswa terhadap media. Subjek Penelitian ini ialah Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Media ini telah diujicobakan terhadap 27 siswa kelas VII SMP Pangudi Luhur Ambarawa. Media game Titungan berbasis android telah dinyatakan valid oleh pakar media. Hasil uji kepraktisan mendapat persentase sebesar 91,67% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Uji paired t-test dengan taraf signikan 5% menghasilkan signifikan mendekati nol dengan rata-rata posttest lebih tinggi daripada pretest. Berdasarkan ketiga uji tersebut, dapat disimpulkan media ini valid, praktis, dan efektif. Learning media is a tool that can help the teaching and learning process, and at the same time has the function of clarifying the meaning conveyed in the learning process, so that learning objectives are achieved. Learning media must follow the flow of technological developments. One of the technology-based media developments is educational games. This study aims to develop learning media for Android-based Titungan games. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE model. The instruments used consisted of media validation sheets, practicality sheets, pretest, posttest, and student response sheets to the media. This media has been tested on 27 grade VII students of SMP Pangudi Luhur Ambarawa. The Android-based Titungan game media has been declared valid by media experts. The practicality test results got a percentage of 91.67% which was included in the very good category. The paired t-test with a significant level of 5% produces a significant close to zero with a higher posttest average than the pretest. Based on these three tests, it can be concluded that this media is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Keterampilan TPACK guru dapat dipengaruhi oleh status sertifikasi guru dan akreditasi sekolah. Guru bersertifikat diharapkan mampu mengintegrasikan TPACK dengan baik dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji kemampuan TPACK guru matematika sekolah menengah berdasarkan status sertifikasi guru dan akreditasi sekolah di Kabupaten Buton Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 53 guru matematika sekaligus sebagai subyek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penguasaan TPACK guru matematika sekolah menengah di Kabupaten Buton Utara termasuk kategori rendah; ada perbedaan kemampuan TPACK yang signifikan antara guru matematika di sekolah terakreditasi A dan B; terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan TPACK antara guru matematika di sekolah terakreditasi A dan C; tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan TPACK antara guru matematika di sekolah terakreditasi B dan C; terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan TPACK antara guru bersertifikasi dan tidak bersertifikasi di sekolah terakreditasi B; tidak ada perbedaan keterampilan TPACK antara guru bersertifikasi dan tidak bersertifikasi di sekolah terakreditasi A dan C. Teachers' TPACK skills can be influenced by teacher certification status and school accreditation. Certified teachers are expected to be able to integrate TPACK well in learning. The purpose of this study was to examine the TPACK ability of high school mathematics teachers based on teacher certification status and school accreditation in North Buton District. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method. The research population consisted of 53 mathematics teachers who were also research subjects. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the TPACK mastery ability of high school mathematics teachers in North Buton Regency was in a low category; there is a significant difference in TPACK ability between mathematics teachers in schools accredited A and B; there is a significant difference in TPACK skills between mathematics teachers in schools accredited A and C; there is no difference in TPACK abilities between mathematics teachers in schools accredited B and C; there is a significant difference in the ability of TPACK between certified and uncertified teachers in schools accredited B; there is no difference in TPACK skills between certified and uncertified teachers in schools accredited A and C.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada materi Persamaan Linier Satu Variabel (PLSV) setelah diterapkan model Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan analisis data secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif sesuai dengan indikator representasi matematis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 6 Indralaya Utara di kelas VII.1 dengan melibatkan sebanyak 16 siswa sebagai subjeknya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan tes tertulis berupa soal uraian dan hasil wawancara dengan siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi memeriksa tes uraian merujuk pada indikator representasi matematis yaitu visual, simbolik dan verbal. Data yang telah terkumpul kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan pedoman penskoran yang merujuk pada indikator representasi matematis. Hasil analisis data selanjutnya dikelompokkan menjadi tiga kategori yaitu tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data didapatkan bahwa kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada materi persamaan linier satu variabel setelah diterapkannya model CPS berada dikategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 59,687 dan skor rata-rata untuk indikator representasi visual yaitu sebesar 71,093, representasi simbolik 60,156, dan verbal 35,937. This study aimed to look at and describe students' mathematical representation abilities in the One Variable Linear Equation (PLSV) material after applying the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) model. The research method used was descriptive with quantitative and qualitative data analysis according to the indicators of mathematical representation. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 6 Indralaya Utara in class VII.1 involving 16 students as participants. Data collection was carried out by giving written tests in the form of description questions and the results of interviews with students. The data analysis technique used included examining the description test referring to indicators of mathematical representation, namely visual, symbolic and verbal. The data were then analyzed based on scoring guidelines that refer to indicators of mathematical representation. The results of the data analysis were later categorized into three categories, namely high, medium, and low. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that students' mathematical representation abilities in the material of one-variable linear equations after the implementation of the CPS model were in the moderate category with an average score of 59.687 and an average score for visual representation indicators that was 71.093, symbolic representation 60.156, and verbal 35.937.

Abstract

Perlu dikembangkan model pembelajaran matematika di pesantren yang dikaitkan dengan permasalahan yang sesuai dengan situasi di pondok pesantren, misalnya terkait dengan fiqh. Penelitian ini menggunakan Design Didactical Research (DDR). Pengembangan desain didaktis ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Theory of Didactical Situation (TDS). Pembelajaran matematika di pesantren dirancang sebagai berikut: pembacaan ayat suci Al-Qur'an dan Hadits terkait materi pembelajaran matematika; materi dan tujuan pembelajaran yang terkait dengan ilmu keislaman; dan memberikan gambaran tentang manfaat mempelajari materi yang akan dipelajari dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, terutama ketika nantinya menjadi kader ulama. Pengembangan desain didaktis didasarkan pada teori situasi didaktis, yaitu: Situasi Devolusi, santri diberikan tantangan untuk menyelesaikan masalah zakat dan waris; Situasi Matematis, santri yang belum mampu menyelesaikan tantangan utama dibimbing melalui soal, tabel, dan petunjuk. Demikian pula santri yang sudah memiliki tebakan pemecahan masalah terus melakukan langkah-langkah untuk menguji keabsahan asumsi tersebut dengan menjawab beberapa pertanyaan, memperhatikan tabel, dan melaksanakan instruksi; Situasi Kelembagaan, santri membuat kesimpulan dengan bimbingan guru tentang poin-poin penting. It is necessary to develop a mathematics learning model in pesantren that is associated with problems that are following the situation in the Islamic boarding school, for example, related to fiqh. This study used Design Didactical Research (DDR). The development of this didactic design was carried out using the Theory of Didactical Situation (TDS). The learning mathematics in pesantren is designed as follows: reading of the holy verses of Al-Qur'an and Hadith related to mathematics learning materials; the material and learning objectives associated with Islamic knowledge; and giving an overview of the benefits of studying the material to be studied in everyday life, especially when later becoming a cadre of the ulama. Didactic design development is based on the theory of didactic situation, namely: In the case of Devolution, santri are given the challenge of solving zakat and inheritance problems; in Mathematical Situations, santri who have not been able to complete the main difficulties are guided through questions, tables, and instructions. Likewise, santri, who already has problem-solving guesses, continues to test the validity of these assumptions by answering several questions, paying attention to tables, and carrying out instructions; 3) Situation of Institutionalization, santri makes conclusions with teacher guidance about essential points.

Abstract

Rumah adat Balla Lompoa merupakan bangunan adat yang dulunya digunakan sebagai istana tempat tinggal Raja Gowa. Sebagai bagian dari budaya, arsitektur tradisional dan ornamen pada Balla Lompoa berkait dengan konsep geometri yang jika digali dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar. Kajian tentang konsep matematika dengan praktik budaya disebut etnomatematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif eksploratif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan salah satu penjaga rumah adat Balla Lompoa. Eksplorasi rumah adat Balla Lompoa memperlihatkan berbagai konsep geometris bangunan datar seperti bujur sangkar, bujur sangkar panjang, segitiga, lingkaran, dan belah ketupat. Bentuk bangun datar ini dapat ditemukan di Balla Lompoa dan dapat menjadi salah satu bahan ajar berupa media pembelajaran, model dan pendekatan pembelajaran serta modul menggunakan Etnomatematika. The Balla Lompoa traditional house is a traditional building once used as the palace of the King of Gowa's residence. As part of the culture, the traditional architecture and ornaments on the Balla Lompoa connect with the concept of geometry, which, if explored, can be used as teaching materials. The study of mathematical concepts with cultural practice is called Ethnomathematics. This study is a descriptive exploratory study, with data collected through observation and interviews with one of the guards of the Balla Lompoa traditional house. The exploration of the Balla Lompoa traditional house shows various geometric concepts of flat buildings such as squares, square Panjang, triangles, circles, and rhombuses. This flat shape can be found in the Balla Lompoa and can be one of the teaching materials in the form of learning media, teaching models and approaches, and modules using Ethnomathematics.

Abstract

Soal cerita matematika merupakan bentuk soal yang melatih pemahaman berhitung dan membaca. Evaluasi akan menjadi tidak efektif jika penggunaan bahasa dalam soal cerita matematika kurang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang penggunaan bahasa dalam soal cerita pada naskah Penilaian Akhir Semester (PAS) dan Penilaian Tengah Semester (PTS) mata pelajaran Matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitik. Sumber data didapatkan dari naskah soal PAS dan PTS Matematika yang digunakan oleh sekolah dasar di Garut. Jumlah seluruh naskah ada 36 naskah dengan jumlah butir soal yang merentang dari tahun pelajaran 2017-2018 sampai 2022-2023 sebanyak 1020 soal. Penganalisisan dilakukan pada soal cerita yang tersebar pada lima tipe jenis soal, yakni soal pilihan ganda, soal pilihan ganda analisis kasus, betul-salah, menjodohkan, dan soal uraian. Hasil analisis data menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat ketidaktepatan dalam penggunaan bahasa soal cerita matematika dengan persentase yang variatif. Untuk ketidakgramatikalan berjumlah 31 persen, ketidaktepatan diksi 25 persen, ketidakhematan 15 persen, ketidakparalelan 6 persen, dan ketidaklogisan 22 persen. Math story problems are a form of problem that trains counting and reading comprehension. The evaluation will be ineffective if the use of language in the math story problems is flawed. This study aimed to get an overview of the use of language in the Math story problems in Final and Mid Semester Assessment manuscripts. This study used a qualitative approach with an analytic descriptive method. The data was obtained from the mathematics assessment question texts used by elementary schools in Garut, with 36 manuscripts comprising 1020 questions spanning from 2017-2018 to 2022-2023 academic years. The analysis was carried out on the language problems in the story problems question types used in the multiple choices, case analysis multiple choices, true-false, matching, and essay questions. Based on the analysis, there were inaccuracies in the use of the language with varying percentages. Thirty-one percent of the data are ungrammatical, 25 percent use incorrect diction, 15 percent are ineffective, 6 percent are non-parallel, and 22 percent are illogical.

Abstract

Bahan ajar merupakan salah satu alat yang dapat membantu guru dan siswa mempelajari sesuatu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis budaya lokal yang berkualitas baik. Bahan ajar berbasis budaya lokal yang dikembangkan berfokus pada materi bangun datar untuk mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar. Kualitas bahan ajar ini diukur menggunakan beberapa instrumen, antara lain: (1) lembar validasi untuk mengumpulkan data kevalidan, (2) lembar observasi aktivitas dosen dan mahasiswa untuk mengumpulkan data kepraktisan, dan (3) soal pretest dan posttest digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data keefektifan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahan ajar berbasis budaya lokal yang dihasilkan berkualitas baik karena memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif. Kelebihan dari bahan ajar ini adalah mudah dipahami karena memuat unsur budaya berupa kain tenun, memanfaatkan aplikasi geogebra dalam pengembangannya serta dikembangkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pelajar. Teaching materials are one of the tools that can help teachers and students learn something. This research aims to develop good quality local culture-based teaching materials. The local culture-based teaching materials developed a focus on flat building materials for Elementary School Teacher Education students. The quality of these teaching materials is measured using several instruments, including (1) validation sheets to collect validity data, (2) observation sheets of lecturer and student activities to collect practical data, and (3) pretest and posttest questions used to collect data on the effectiveness of student learning outcomes. This study concludes that the local culture-based teaching materials produced are of good quality because they meet the valid, practical, and effective criteria. The advantage of this teaching material is that it is easy to understand because it contains cultural elements in the form of woven fabrics, utilizes geogebra applications in its development, and is developed according to student needs.
