Abstract

Colleges function as learning centers that provide interactive academic environments. The Palangka Raya College of Informatics and Computer Management (STMIK) as the location of the research as a higher education institution located in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province. The STMIK Palangka Raya building is designed to provide facilities that are in accordance with academic needs and accommodate teaching and learning activities for students, lecturers, and administrative staff focusing on informatics and computer management. The purpose of the study was to conduct a survey and analysis of the STMIK Palangka Raya building. The research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive description of the results of the STMIK Palangka Raya building survey. STMIK Palangka Raya is designed with attention to the principles of security, accessibility, and user comfort. STMIK building materials used are of high quality and pay attention to energy efficiency. The research stages include analyzing the potential existence of STMIK, conducting visual observations and analyzing the availability of natural lighting in the STMIK building as an important factor because it affects the teaching and learning process related to the visual comfort of users of the space. Analysis of learning space as an analysis of the identification of campus building designs that provide student learning interest and analysis of green open spaces (parks) to create a beautiful learning environment and create fresh air. The output of the research is the identification of the location, structure, facilities, and lighting of STMIK Palangka Raya described in writing.

Abstract

Palangka Raya, as the provincial capital and center of government, has a strategic position in supporting the economic growth of Central Kalimantan. Economic sectors in Palangka Raya City. Economic growth is supported by one of them through Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The problem with the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) container has not been integrated in spatial planning for business/trade, culinary, handicrafts, and tourism services in Central Kalimantan. The purpose of the study is to design a center for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Central Kalimantan in Palangka Raya City. The research method uses a qualitative method through literature studies, comparative studies based on survey and interview data, and precedent studies to study the architectural approach. Analysis of Indonesian architecture, namely energy efficiency and user comfort, is carried out in the processing of mass composition, ventilation, and selection of building materials. The design approach to achieve the goal is the design of the Central Kalimantan MSME center through the Indonesian architecture approach, considering aspects of sustainability, local wisdom, and flexibility in its use. the concept of Indonesian architecture in designing patterns of mass composition and interior space arrangement, exterior space appearance, and material selection. This research is expected to contribute to the development of architectural designs for sustainable and culturally valuable Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises centers in Indonesia.

Abstract

Accidents often occur due to several factors, including factors such as drivers who are not alert in dealing with obstacles while driving, road geometry factors that do not meet standards, and vehicle factors such as being unfit for use and lacking maintenance. Based on these factors, the problem formulation focuses on the level of traffic safety at the Jl. Bukit Indah - Jl. Garuda - Jl. Bukit Kaminting intersection and the speed that occurs during conflicts at that intersection. The Traffic Conflict Technique method is used to analyze the safety level, and observations reveal that the intersection lacks traffic lights or signals. This increases the risk of accidents and reduces the level of road user safety. Looking at the average Time-to-Avoid (TA) required by road users, it is only 0.5 - 1.0 seconds, with a 31% percentage for evasion or avoidance. This poses a threat to road user safety. The vehicle speed during conflicts at the Jl. Bukit Indah - Jl. Garuda - Jl. Bukit Kaminting intersection is between 40 km/h and 50 km/h, with a 29% percentage as the highest speed.

Abstract

With the history of earthquakes that occurred in Central Borneo Province, it is very necessary to plan earthquake resistant building structures, especially in the implementation of reinforced concrete building structures. Earthquake-resistant reinforced concrete structure planning is carried out using a Special Moment Resisting Frame System with the object of research being the Integrated Lecture Building of the University of Palangka Raya. In planning earthquake-resistant reinforced concrete structures, the requirements described in SNI 2847-2019 are required. The results of the planning of structural components for the structure of the Palangka Raya University Integrated Lecture Building, namely the structural components under review, used 30/60 beam dimensions and 60/60 column dimensions. In the 30/60 beam design, the left bearing reinforcement is 6D25 tension-8D29 pressed, the field reinforcement is 4D25 tension-2D29 pressed, the right support reinforcement is 5D25 tension-4D29+4D25 pressed, and the left/right joint shear reinforcement 2 legs ∅12–120 mm for the plastic hinge area and 2 legs ∅12–150 mm for the area outside the plastic hinge. On the planning of the 60/60 column obtained longitudinal reinforcement 24D25 and reinforcement in the plastic hinge 4 legs ∅12–100 mm, outside the plastic hinge 4 legs ∅10–150 mm, and in the lap joints 4 legs ∅12–100 mm. On examination the requirements for strong column-weak beam based on SNI 2847-2019 have been fulfilled. So that the planning of the Special Moment Resisting Frame System in increasing the resistance of the building to the possibility of large earthquake forces is appropriate and safe.

Abstract

Clean water is a fundamental need at the heart of individual and community life. Lack of clean water can have a significant impact on various aspects of life, including health, social and economic. In Indonesia, many villages are still facing a clean water crisis, one of which is Taman Sari Village. This problem requires a solution in the form of an efficient clean water pipeline network planning system to distribute water evenly and meet the needs of the community. This study aims to calculate the daily clean water needs of the Taman Sari Village community and design an efficient clean water pipe network system. In addition, this study also aims to determine the appropriate and efficient method of water distribution through pipe network analysis. Field survey data was used as the basis for calculations to ensure a system design that is relevant and appropriate to local conditions. The analysis and simulation process was conducted using EPANET software, which is capable of modeling water flow in pipe networks in a detailed and accurate manner. With the help of this software, water distribution calculations are performed to ensure the network design can optimally meet the clean water needs of the community. The research results are expected to not only provide a solution to the clean water crisis in Taman Sari Village but also become a planning model that can be applied in other areas with similar conditions. The implementation of this system is believed to increase access to clean water, improve quality of life, and support sustainable development at the local and national levels.

Abstract

One of the online transportation that has increased its use in the City of Palangka Raya, one of which is an online taxi, one of which is Gocar. Gocar is in great demand by the public because of its competitive rates and more affordable rates than its competitors. The Ministry of Transportation has set an upper and lower limit for the Kalimantan region, it is between Rp.3,700 - Rp.6,500 per kilometer. The purpose of this study is to analyze the tariffs for Gocar and Gocar L based on vehicle operating costs to get how much the standard tariff for Gocar and Gocar L is in Palangka Raya City. The method used to calculate vehicle operating costs and tariffs is the 2002 Directorate General of Land Transportation method. The results show that Gocar and Gocar L rates based on the 2002 Directorate General of Land Transportation method are above the current rates, for Gocar, Honda Brio CVT (2021 ) Rp.14,110, Toyota Agya 1.2 MT (2022) Rp.10,203 and Daihatsu Ayla 1.2 MT (2020) Rp.11,981 and for Gocar L, Honda Mobilio MT (2018) Rp. 11,368, Toyota Calya 1.2 MT (2022) of IDR 7,561 and Daihatsu Sigra 1.2 MT (2018) of IDR 14,672 where the applicable tariff is IDR 5,024 – IDR 5,560 per km, with lower limit rates and upper limit rates ie IDR 3,700 – 6,500 per km.

Abstract

The area development of Cempaka, Kotawaringin Timur District, Central Kalimantan is increasing rapidly, especially considering the increasing population growth. One of the steps that needs to be taken to reduce the risk in developing the area is to conduct geotechnical studies. This study aims to determine the type, physical properties, and mechanical properties of the soil, determine the appropriate foundation based on the soil conditions, and provide engineering recommendations to increase the soil bearing capacity within the study area. The methods applied in the study are including sampling, disturbed and undisturbed, using hand drill, geotechnical mapping, and sondir test. Bore samples were prepared for soil physical properties test. The soil types at the study sites were peat deposits, clay, and silt clay, which is saturated, expansive, very soft - hard consistency, and no water outflow from the pores. The value of qu based on sondir data at depth of 1 - 6 m, equal to 56,80 - 66,32 ton/ m2 , and qa equal to 18,93 - 22,11 ton/ m2 , while value of qu based on laboratory data equal to 0,65 - 2 , 48 ton/ m2 , and qa equal to 0,22 - 0,83 ton/ m 2 . Technical engineering recommended to increase the carrying capacity of the soil, is to use cerucuk foundation for the foundation of the house, and the use of geotextiles and the addition of urugan land on the road residing in the neighborhood.

Abstract

Side friction often found in several side of roads, especially on the other side of the road between incoming and outgoing activity vehicle segment of the road, pedestrians, parking and vehicle stops, as well as non-motorized transport across the road segment. Side friction is what often causes congestion on roads. Therefore the Yos Sudarso road in Palangka Raya, problem will arise that affect the performance of the road section. This study was conducted to determine how much influence the side friction of the road section on the performance of the road on Yos Sudarso Road Taman Kuliner Tunggal Sangomang section Palangka Raya City. The method used in this study uses PKJI 2014. To finde volume, capacity, service level and road performance that are affected by side friction on the roads. From the research results obtained traffic volume (Q), at peak hour on Saturday 26 November 2022 at 6.00 – 7.00 PM obtained Q = 816 skr/hour amount of side frictions obtained 102 with class of side friction low (R). from the results of the performance of the road segment, obtained capacity of Yos Sudarso road is 3457,08 skr/hour. There was a decrease capacity due to side friction to 2965, 25 skr/hour. And the degree of saturation (DJ) reach 0,32 which is includedin the level of service for road B with a stable traffic flow but the operating flow,but the operating speed is starting to be limited due to traffic conditions

Abstract

This research explores slope stability at a sandstone mine in Loa Janan Ilir sub-district, Samarinda City, by applying the Rock Mass Rating (RMR) method to identify potential geotechnical risks. The 30-meter Scanline method was used to collect structural data on the bridles, while five key RMR parameters, including uniaxial compressive strength and Rock Quality Designation (RQD), were analyzed to determine the quality of the rock mass. The results revealed that the rock mass at the site has an RMR value of 33.5425, which classifies the slope condition as class IV (poor). This finding highlights the great potential for wedge avalanches to occur, which could threaten the safety of workers and mining operations. As such, this study offers critical insights that can drive decision-making in risk mitigation and safer mine management in the area.

Abstract

Universitas Palangka Raya (UPR) has once again achieved notable progress in terms of growth and accomplishment of Key Performance Indicators (KPI), as set by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). In 2024, UPR welcomed 3,400 new students through the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) program. However, the university still faces limitations in infrastructure that support these expanding activities. A multipurpose building presents a strategic solution to this issue. Such a facility can function as a hub for academic events (seminars, graduations, student admissions, etc.), serving as a space for learning and interaction among students and faculty. Additionally, it can accommodate non-academic activities (events, job fairs, weddings, etc.), offering economic and business value while providing an open and flexible space for the community.
