Abstract

Performance of the Chong-De Buddhist Sunday School (SMB) teachers in North Sumatra. This research uses multiple regression analysis. In this study using a sample using probability sampling technique, with a total sample of 86 respondents. This research uses primary data, data is collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents via google form which is tested with SPSS 20.0 for Windows. The results showed that the principal's leadership had a positive effect on the performance of SMB Chong-De teachers throughout North Sumatra with a correlation coefficient score (ry1 = 0.613) and a score determination coefficient (r2y1 = 0.375). Work motivation has a positive effect on the performance of SMB Chong-De teachers in North Sumatra with a correlation coefficient score (ry2 = 0.762) and a determination coefficient score (r2y2 = 0.581). Principal leadership and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on the performance of Chong-De High School teachers in North Sumatra with a correlation coefficient score (ry1,2 = 0.835) and a coefficient of determination score (r2y1,2 = 0.698). Regression equation: 1.2 = 49.013 + 0.835X1 + 0.698X2. So for optimizing teacher performance, a policy or regulation is needed to improve school principal leadership and work motivation.

Abstract

This research is to find out how the impact of the caste system in Bali on the life of the Buddhist community. In this study the method used is a qualitative research method with descriptive research results. Buddhism has been known to the Balinese people since ancient times, but in harmony with the development of Hinduism so that they were united into Shiva-Buddha. Balinese Hinduism does not use Indian Hindu culture, but the Balinese Hindu community adheres to their own culture, namely the customs of their ancestors and modern life systems. The Balinese Hindu community always carries out the Menyama Braya concept (the concept of living in harmony and respecting each other in terms of culture and differences) which has been running for generations The social structure of Buddhists in Bali is divided into gharavasa and pabbajita. Buddhists in Bali practice the teachings of the Great Teacher of Buddha, so they are not affected by the caste system that exists in social life. Buddhists in Bali promote tolerance between religions. Behaviorally, Buddhists in Bali have never adhered to the caste system or degree of social status in their daily life and always practice the teachings of Buddha Dhamma. But the Balinese Buddhist community still respects the traditions that apply in Balinese customs. In essence, the relationship between Hindus and Buddhists in Bali is not a problem at all. Because everyone respects each other. And no influence in caste either from family, education, work, marriage, and most importantly all good in thought, speech and behavior.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test and analyze the effect of school climate and work motivation on the performance of Guang Ming Elementary School teachers throughout Indonesia. This study uses multiple regression analysis to determine the effect of school climate and work motivation on teacher performance. The Population in this study amounted to 102 guang ming school teachers throughuot Indonesia. In this study the determination of the sample using the census method with the number of samples used in this study as many as 102 respondents. This study uses primary data, data is collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents via google forms. Testing the research hypothesis using SPSS 20.0 for Windows. The results showed that school climate had a positive effect on teacher performance at Guang Ming Elementary Schools throughout Indonesia with a correlation coefficient score of ry1 = 0.471 and a determination coefficient score of r2y1 =0.222. Work motivation has a positive effect on teacher performance Guang Ming Elementary Schools in Indonesia with a correlation coefficient score of ry2 = 0.526 and a determination coefficient score of r2y2 = 0.276. School climate and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on the performance of teachers at Guang Ming Elementary Schools in Indonesia with a correlation coefficient score of ry1.2 = 0.627 and a coefficient of determination score of r2y1.2 = 0.393. The regression equation in this study is as follows: Ŷ = 45,665 + 0.266X1 + 0.385X2. Based on these results, to optimize teacher performance, policies and regulations are needed to improve school climate and work motivation.

Abstract

The focus of this research is the low quality of learning, the Buddhist Sunday school curriculum has not been implemented, there is no maximum and systematic learning planning, there is no organization, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum, especially non-formal education. To make this happen, one way that can be taken is through managing the Buddhist Sunday School curriculum by adapting the curriculum that has been published by the government and according to the needs of the community. The aim of this research is to determine the management of the Buddhist Sunday School curriculum in Nabire Regency. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques in this research: interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include: data presentation, data reduction and data verification. Data validity testing includes: Data triangulation. The results of this research show that: curriculum management at the Buddha Dharma Karuna Nabire Sunday School (SMB) has been implemented well, starting from planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating, although it is still simple, not optimal and systematic

Abstract

This study aimed to examine The influence of the principal's leadership and work culture individually and simultaneously on performance teaching. A total of 86 Private Middle School teachers Maitreya throughout Sumatra participated voluntarily in the study. The study uses quantitative research methods. Analysis of data uses simple partial regression and correlation and multiple correlation. The results of this study show that there is a positive and very significant correlation of the independent variables of Leadership and Cultur Work together to the interest in teaching, whereby the results of the correlation coefficient is ry.12 = 0.774 and the determinant coefficient is r2y.12 = 0.599, meaning the two variables contribute to the interest in performance teaching by 59,9%. That also means there are other factors that influence the interest in Performance teaching as many as 41,1%. The independent variable ‘Leadership’ influence, individually has a very weak positive and significant relationship to the interest in teaching compared to other variables, showed by the correlation coefficient: ry.1 = 0.725 and the determinant coefficient r2y.1 = 0.526. It means the contribution of Self the principal's leadership performance teaching in teacher is 52,6 %. Whereas Culture Work, individually, shows the correlation coefficient is ry.2 = 0.601 and the determinant coefficient r2y.2 = 0.362. It means Culture Work contributes 36,2% to the interest in Performance teaching while 63,8% is contributed by other variables. It also means that Culture Work has a strong positive influence and is very significant to the interest in performance teaching.

Abstract

This research aims to find out about differentiated learning and assessment in the independent curriculum and how to implement it in elementary schools throughout Sindang Kelingi District. The aim of this research is formulated as follows; To find ou t how differentiated learning and assessment is implemented in the independent curriculum at the Sindang Kelingi District Elementary School? To find out what are the obstacles and advantages in implementing differentiated learning and assessment in the independent curriculum. This research uses a qualitative approach and the type of research is case study. The data was obtained by researchers by means of observation, interviews and documentation. Then the analysis method used is qualitative descriptive analysis, and data analysis techniques include data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data is carried out using diligent observation, triangulation, peer checking and using several reference materials. The research results show that the implementation of differentiated learning is carried out by mapping according to students' criteria, interests and needs.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of learning outcomes with the variable Self-efficacy andThe discipline of learning both individually and together. The research was carried out on 137 class VI elementary school students from which a sample of 102 students was taken on Class VI learning outcomes on academic scores for Buddhist subjects at Maitreyawira Private Elementary Schools in Sumatra. The research uses quantitative research methods. Data analysis uses simple partial correlation and regression, multiple correlation. The conclusion from the results of this research is that there is a positive and very significant influence between the Self-Efficacy variable on Student Learning Outcomes with a significant level of self-efficacy obtained 0.000 < 0.05 and tcount 14,026 > ttable 1,663 the conclusion is that there is an influential, tcount = 14.026 and tcount (0,025;99) = 1.98 score ttable (0,01;99) = 2.36. This means tcount > ttable. There is a positive and very significant influence between the Learning Discipline variable on student learning outcomes with the Learning Discipline significance level obtained 0.000 < 0.05 and tcount 23,775 > ttable 1,663 the conclusion is that there is an influential, tcount = 6.661, and ttable (0,025;99) = 1.98 score ttable (0,01;99) = 2.36. This means tcount > ttable. There is a positive and very significant influence between the self-efficacy and Learning Discipline variables together with the Student Learning Outcomes variable by obtaining a tested hypothesis equation score with the condition Fcount > Ftable. From the calculation results, and score is obtained Fcount = 11,675 and score on Ftable (0,05;100) = 3.09 score Ftable (0,01;100) = 4,82.

Abstract

Students' learning interest in Buddhist Education subjects in Central Kalimantan tends to be low, indicated by the lack of active participation, attention and discipline of students during the learning process. This study aims to empirically examine the relationship between learning styles (X1), learning climate (X2) and simultaneously to learning interest (Y). The research subjects were high school Buddhist students in Central Kalimantan with a sample size of 52 students. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques with descriptive statistics, validity tests, reliability, basic and classical assumption tests followed by hypothesis testing with correlation, coefficient of determination and partial hypothesis with t test. The results of partial hypothesis testing with t test with the first hypothesis at a significance level of 0.05 obtained a value of 0.501 which is greater than 0.05 means reject Ho and there is no positive relationship between learning style (X1) and interest in learning (Y). The second hypothesis at the 0.05 significance level obtained a value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05 which means accept Ho and there is a positive relationship between learning climate (X1) and interest in learning (Y). The third hypothesis obtained F count (32.606) > F Table (3.19) so accept Ha which means there is a positive relationship between learning styles (X1) and learning climate (X2) together on interest in learning (Y).

Abstract

Buddhist education in Indonesia faces structural and cultural challenges that threaten its sustainability, such as declining student numbers, limited human resources, and minimal funding. This study aims to develop a Buddhist education management model based on Dhamma principles (Paññā, Sīla, Viriya) integrated with a contemporary strategic approach. Using descriptive-qualitative methods and a literature study approach, this article examines primary data from Buddhist texts and secondary sources from academic literature. The main findings suggest that strengthening value-based management can strengthen the position of Buddhist schools as transformative institutions in shaping character and wisdom. This article makes a theoretical contribution by proposing a Dhamma-based strategic framework that is applicable in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

Buddhist education plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and spiritual understanding. However, learning in Buddhist Sunday Schools often faces challenges such as monotonous teaching methods, which reduce student interest and comprehension, particularly regarding puja (worship) equipment. Items like candles, incense, and flowers hold deep symbolic meaning in Buddhism, yet students' understanding remains low. This study examines the effectiveness of the Blessing Box game as an innovative solution to enhance student comprehension. A quantitative experimental method was employed, with 18 respondents. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using a Likert scale and paired t-test. The results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding after using the Blessing Box, with an achievement rate of 83.85% (highly understood category). The t-test confirmed a highly significant increase (t-value 18.71 > t-table 2.89), with a mean score difference of 20.38 between pre-intervention (59.44) and post-intervention (79.83). The findings indicate that Blessing Box effectively enhances students' comprehension. Teachers are advised to maintain and develop this media with more inclusive variations. Future research could expand the sample size or test the media’s effectiveness on other religious materials. This study proves that interactive learning through games can significantly improve student understanding.
