Abstract

The problem raised in this study is how to comply with the principles of politeness in language and is there a violation of the principles of politeness in language among teenagers in Telaga Dewa V RT 15 Bengkulu City in terms of communicating and interacting. The purpose of this study is to describe the adherence to the principles of language politeness and violations of the principles of language politeness among adolescents in Telaga Dewa V RT 15 Bengkulu City in terms of communicating and interacting. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this study is the act of politeness in language performed by teenagers in Telaga Dewa V, RT 15, Bengkulu City in the form of conversation or interaction. While the informants in this study were several teenagers who lived in Telaga Dewa V, RT 15, Bengkulu City. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, documentation and interviews. The results of this study conclude that there are four maxims that are obeyed by adolescents in Telaga Dewa V, RT 15, Bengkulu City, namely tact maxim, generosity maxim, approbation maxim and modesty maxim which consists of 23 utterances. There were four violations of the principle of politeness in language at Telaga Dewa V, RT 15, Bengkulu City, namely the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of appreciation/praise and the maxim of simplicity/humility which consists of 11 utterances.

Abstract

The phenomenon of implicature is also found in many television programs, such as talk shows, comedy programs, and programs with the concept of motivating listeners or viewers . This research is only about the implicatures of conversation in the interactive dialogue of mata najwa with public officials at Trans7. The problem in this research is how is the function of conversational implicature in the interactive dialogue of Mata Najwa in Trans7. The goal to be achieved in this study is to describe how the function of conversational implicatures in the interactive dialogue between Mata Najwa and Public Officials in Trans7. This research is a research with descriptive qualitative method . Data collection is done by recording and note-taking techniques. Data analysis was carried out through several procedures: (1) data reduction (data selection and data coding), (2) data presentation, and (3) conclusion drawing and data verification . Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, the conclusion of this study the researchers found the function of conversational implicatures in the interactive dialogue of Mata Najwa Trans7 with public officials. The four implicature functions in the form of speech acts are the conversational implicature function in representative speech, the conversational implicature function in commissive speech, the conversational implicature function in directive speech, and conversational implicature in expressive speech. In addition, the researcher also found the meanings of conversational implicatures contained in Mata Najwa Trans7's interactive dialogue with public officials, there were (17) seventeen implicature intentions. These purposes include: 1) stating, 2) explaining, 3) speculating, 4) showing, 5) informing, 6) admitting, 7) giving testimony, 8) reporting, 9) refusing, 10) inviting, 11) urged, 12) suggested, 13) forbade, 14) pleaded, 15) criticized, 16) blamed, 17) insinuated. The most common conversational implicatures in Mata Najwa Trans7's interactive dialogue are conversational implicatures in the representative speech function with a total of 26 utterances. The meaning that appears the most is the intention ( state ).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the form of spelling errors in the descriptive text of class VII A students of SMP Negeri 05 Bengkulu City. This study uses a qualitative research type with a descriptive approach. Based on the discussion of research data on the analysis kesalaha n spelling of Indonesian in the essay on pembelaja ran B ahasa Indonesian students of class VII A Junior High School 05 Bengkulu city, the writer can give the conclusion that in general the students of class VII A SMPN 05 Kota Bengkulu have not mastered the use of letters, word writing, the use of punctuation in writing essays. Classically, students have not been able to understand the general use of Indonesian spelling (PUEBI)in writing an essay. Because students still have difficulty in understanding the use of Indonesian spelling. The results of the study concluded that letter errors, writing errors, punctuation errors, from the data that the authors found there were errors in the use of capital letters and italics, words with affixes, errors in writing abbreviations and acronyms, periods, commas, colons, hyphens. , dash. As for errors in the use of letters of the alphabet, vowels, consonants, diphthongs, combinations of consonants and bold letters, basic words, repeated forms, word combinations, word decapitation, particles, numbers and numbers, pronouns, articles, slashes, question marks, exclamation marks, ellipsis marks, quotation marks, single quotation marks, brackets, square marks, and abbreviations were not found errors from the research data.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning can not be separated from the methods of approach in the delivery of materials in this case one of the approaches used is contextual approach. The implementation of this approach must have inhibitory factors and supporting factors. The purpose of this research was to find out how the implementation of the application, inhibitory factors and supporting factors contextual approach in learning Indonesian text material exposition students Class X IPA 3 SMA 1 Negeri Kinali. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection by conducting observations of teachers, students and classes, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this study were Indonesian language teachers and X IPA 3 grade students. Data validity technique is triangulation of sources by means of data suppression obtained. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers to teachers and students of Grade X IPA 3 SMA 1 Negeri Kinali. That the implementation of contextual approach is implemented ideally this has been proven by the existence of research interviews to teachers, students and monitoring carried out when the teaching and learning process takes place and the supporting factors are enthusiastic learners in following the learning, as well as adequate facilities and pre-facilities and inhibitory factors are lack of time and lack of materials delivered.

Abstract

The problems discussed in this study aim to determine whether there is an effect of reading interest in science majors on writing skills in learning Indonesian at SMA Negeri 5 Lebong. The approach in this research is quantitative and the type of research used is regressional. The population of this study were students majoring in science at SMA Negeri 5 Lebong and the sample of this study amounted to 65 students. The variables in this study consisted of the independent variable, namely reading interest and the dependent variable, namely the ability to write. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing a questionnaire (questionnaire) for the variable X and a poetry writing test for the Y variable. For testing the validity and reliability of this study using the SPSS version 20 program. Based on the results of data analysis, the t- count value obtained is 5.519 and the t- table is 1.998 , then the t- count value is 5.519 > from t- table 1.998, so it can be concluded that H o rejected and H a acceptability which means "There is the influence of interest in reading (X) on the ability to write (Y) in the Indonesian language learning in SMAN 5 Lebong".

Abstract

This study aims to describe changes in meaning and the factors that cause changes in the meaning of the Rejang language in Ujung Tanjung Dua Village, Lebong Regency. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the change in meaning extends to the Rejang language which consists of six vocabularies, namely (1) awas, (2) Carai, (3) Esep, (4) Gen, (5) Gonong, (6) Mlai, the form of change in the meaning of amelioration consists of fifteen vocabularies, namely (1) Stir, (2) Inok, (3) Bisay, (4) Beleseng, (5) Bolon, (6) Ubo, (7) Danua, (8) Ganau, (9) Gupuak, (10) Jalet, (11) Nasea, (12) Ko os, (13) Mojoa, (14) Nokoa, (Pajuak). Based on the research, it can be concluded that there is a change in the meaning of the Rejang language in Ujung Tanjung Dua Village, Lebong Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of Indonesian Language Study Program students at IAIN Bengkulu in understanding foreign terms contained in the sports column of the Rakyat bengkulu online newspaper. Data research methods in quantitative methods are used to describe the data. The results of the research on the use of foreign terms are equally developed due to the influence of globalization and the interaction between one language and another. The difference between loanwords and foreign terms is that loanwords are adapted to Indonesian language rules so that they undergo spelling adjustments according to good and correct Indonesian spelling guidelines, while foreign terms come from books in foreign languages ​​whose use is international and customary by experts in their fields and entered into Indonesian based on: (a) more subtle connotations; (b) short words from the translation; and (c) are international rather than equivalent. It is concluded that the data on the ability to understand foreign terms as language variations in the Rakyat bengkulu online sports column. Based on the calculation, the average value of students' ability to understand foreign terms in the sports column of the Rakyat bengkulu online newspaper is 13.37. Then the percentage obtained is 66.85%. When consulted with a scale of five is quite sufficient. From the discussion above, it can be seen that the average ability of students to understand foreign terms as language variations in the sports column of the Rakyat bengkulu online newspaper is quite adequate with an average value of 13.37. The researcher suggests Indonesian students to understand foreign terms as language variations in the sports column of the Rakyat bengkulu online newspaper. Which has been made with the implementation of learning so that learning takes place in a structured manner.

Abstract

Background of the problem raised in this research was how the form of feminism and the role of feminism in the novel Jatisaba by Ramadya Akmal. The purpose of this study was to find out how the form of feminism and the role of feminism in the novel Jatisaba by Ramadya Akmal. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method, and the approach used in this research was the literary criticism approach of feminism. The data source was the novel Jatisaba by Rmadya Akmal. The data collected in the form of words and quotes. Data collection techniques was in the form of library techniques. The data validity technique was focused on trust testing which consists of two activities, namely increasing persistence and using reference materials. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman analysis model. The results of this study were that the form of feminism and the role of feminism found in the novel Jatiaba by Ramadya Akmal, which was in the form of feminism in the novel, told about a village called Jatisaba, the majority of the population of this village are Indonesian Labor, many Indonesian labor brokers enter the village, one of which was Mae. Many villagers had been victims of violence during their time as migrant workers, both physical and non-physical. The researcher could conclude that women in Jatisaba village experience a lot of physical and non-physical violence. Mae and other Indonesian labor brokers only took advantage of the existing conditions in the village.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to investigate errors in the implementation of EBI (Indonesian Spelling System) on the learners’ composition of the second grade students of SMAN 05 Kepahiang. In order to analyze the case deeply and comprehensively, this research was designed by using qualitative approach and content analysis method with data gathering techniques in the form of documentation. The data of this research were collected through purposive sampling and analyzed by using an interactive model consisting of four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal conclusion. The result of this research revealed that the learners’ errors in the implementation of EBI on their composition included misusing of capital letters, italics, prepositions, commas, and compound words. In academic writing, the errors need to be avoided as such errors can interfere with the effectiveness and efficiency of the learners’ composition in Indonesian.

Abstract

This research was intended to determine the frequency of the effectiveness of audio-visual media towards the first grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kaur in learning fable texts. To reveal these problems in depth and thoroughly, this research was designed by using the true experimental method using Post Test Only Control Design. The results of the study showed that the implementation of using audio-visual media in writing fable texts by class VII A obtained an average score of 75.38 while writing fable texts without using audio-visual media by class VII B SMP Negeri 1 Kaur obtained an average score of 65.96. The result showed that the implementation of Audio visual media in writing fable text was effective. It could be proven through the calculation of t-test which obtained thitung > ttabel = 2,738 > 2,056. In this case, there was a significant difference in using audio-visual media without using audio-visual media on the students’ skill in writing fable text by class VII A and VII B SMP Negeri 1 Kaur. Audio-visual media could be deemed effective for the students in learning fable texts better.
