The population in this research was 1,132 respondents with a sample of 258 selected respondents. Data obtained from research results are processed using the SPSS 25 application which consists of validity and reliability tests, techniques crypto analysis with inferential statistical analysis. The results of the research show that the description of each indicator in the store environment variable is in the good category, as well as the description of each indicator in the purchase interest variable is in the good category.  Based on the determinant coefficient test, it consistently proves that the influence of the store environment is significantly related to consumer buying interest. This is in accordance with the guidelines for the level of correlation coefficient, which provides a clear picture of the extent to which the two variables are involved in a mutually influencing relationship.

Abstract

Women perform essential roles across fisheries, aquaculture, seafood processing, marine tourism, seaweed cultivation, coastal conservation, and aquatic-product trading. Nevertheless, much of their labour remains informal, statistically invisible, poorly remunerated, and weakly represented in blue-economy governance. Digital platforms are increasingly promoted as mechanisms for connecting women with information, financial services, consumers, institutions, and international markets. However, digital participation does not automatically produce gender equality. This article examines how digital platforms restructure women’s labour, social empowerment, and global market inclusion in the blue economy. It employs a structured integrative review of peer-reviewed studies and authoritative reports published primarily between 2013 and 2026. The literature was analysed through feminist political economy, gendered-organisation theory, intersectionality, and Kabeer’s resources–agency–achievements framework. Six interconnected findings emerge. First, digital technologies can make women’s previously invisible work more socially and institutionally recognisable. Second, platforms can reorganise intermediation and expand market access, while fees, logistical dependence, and algorithmic visibility may reproduce unequal value distribution. Third, economic empowerment remains conditional on women’s control over income, assets, accounts, and productive resources. Fourth, digital networks can strengthen collective agency and social capital. Fifth, unequal access to devices, skills, time, connectivity, assets, and formal business identities restricts participation, especially among rural and low-income women. Sixth, equitable global market inclusion depends on institutional protection, collective organisation, data rights, care infrastructure, and gender-responsive platform design. The article proposes a conceptual Gender-Responsive Digital Blue Economy Framework comprising access, recognition, agency, redistribution, representation, and institutional protection. It concludes that digital platforms become empowering only when technological inclusion is accompanied by structural transformation in labour relations, household responsibilities, value-chain governance, and decision-making power.

Abstract

This study examines the legal relationship between salt farmers and middlemen (tengkulak) in Bangkala District, Jeneponto Regency from a business law perspective, employing a mixed method approach that integrates normative juridical and empirical juridical methods. Normative analysis applies a statute approach to the Indonesian Civil Code (Articles 1320, 1338, 1339, 1347, and 1365), Law No. 5 of 1999 on the Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition, Law No. 7 of 2014 on Trade, Law No. 25 of 1992 on Cooperatives, and Presidential Regulation No. 126 of 2022. Empirical data were collected through in-depth interviews with nine informants comprising three salt farmers, three middlemen, and three consumers. The findings reveal that: (1) salt prices in Bangkala District fluctuated significantly throughout 2025, ranging from IDR 50,000 to IDR 150,000 per 50 kg—a fluctuation range of 200%; (2) oral agreements between farmers and middlemen formally satisfy the validity requirements under Article 1320 of the Civil Code, yet materially contain imbalanced bargaining positions that potentially violate the good faith principle under Article 1338(3); (3) the oligopsonistic market structure characterized by middlemen's dominance in price determination reflects market failure and potentially contains price coordination elements prohibited under Article 11 of Law No. 5 of 1999; (4) legal reform is needed through three simultaneous pillars: formalization of standard written contracts, establishment of legally incorporated salt cooperatives, and reference price-setting by local government. This study recommends strengthening the regulatory framework for people's salt trade at the district level as a concrete form of legal protection for salt farmers in South Sulawesi.

Abstract

Business Administration students face increasing complexity in planning their careers because of the broad, multidisciplinary scope of the field, while career guidance services in Indonesian higher education remain limited and inconsistently integrated into the curriculum. This study explores the implementation of an individual, course-interest-based career guidance model facilitated by a psychologist and its role in supporting the job readiness of Business Administration students at Universitas Negeri Makassar. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, involving thirteen final-semester students selected purposively, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The guidance process helped students clarify their career direction, become more aware of competencies still needing development, and gain greater confidence in facing the transition to the workforce, although limited session time, late help-seeking, and weak curricular integration remained obstacles. Course-interest-based career guidance meaningfully supports students' career identity and human capital, but requires stronger institutional support to be sustained and scaled.

Abstract

The conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use is a policy problem shaped by the interaction of pressures on the supply and demand sides. This study aims to analyze the root causes of agricultural land conversion and to determine priority policy alternatives for controlling it. It employs a public policy analysis approach in two stages: problem structuring, which uses Dunn’s hierarchical method to identify the immediate causes, underlying causes, and root causes on both the supply and demand sides; and the Non-Dominated Alternatives Method (NDAM), which is used to select policy alternatives. Data were obtained through a documentation study of data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), and the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as regulations and scientific articles. The NDAM analysis used six policy evaluation criteria: effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and appropriateness. The results show that land conversion is driven by weak economic incentives for farming, growing pressure from the demand for non-agricultural land, and suboptimal control of spatial land use. NDAM produced three non-dominated alternatives: strengthening economic incentives for farmers, strengthening spatial use control and licensing, and an integrated policy combining farmer incentives with spatial control. These findings underscore the need for a policy approach that integrates interventions on both the supply and demand sides.

Abstract

This study examines the role of job satisfaction in mediating the influence of work environment and work motivation on employee performance at the Regional Police Office of West Sulawesi (Polda Sulbar) in Mamuju. Employee performance in this public bureaucracy has shown signs of being suboptimal, marked by low work discipline, delayed administrative completion, and declining motivation linked to monotonous routines, uncomfortable workspaces, and hierarchical working relationships. This research adopts a quantitative explanatory design using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), which is well suited to models involving mediation and a relatively limited sample size. The population comprises all 67 employees of Polda Sulbar, and a saturated sampling technique (sensus) was used so that the entire population served as the sample. Primary data were collected through a closed Likert-scale (1-5) questionnaire, complemented by limited interviews and documentation, and analyzed descriptively as well as through the structural (inner) model in SmartPLS. The results show that work environment has a positive and significant effect on both job satisfaction and employee performance; work motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction but no significant direct effect on employee performance; and job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction was also found to significantly mediate the effects of both work environment and work motivation on employee performance. The model explains 34.2% of the variance in job satisfaction and 53.1% of the variance in employee performance. These findings indicate that employee performance at Polda Sulbar is enhanced more effectively through improving job satisfaction than by strengthening work environment or motivation alone, and they offer a basis for practical recommendations to the organization, its employees, and future researchers.
