Abstract

The research method used is an experimental method to determine the effect of Water Methanol Injection on power and torque in Diesel Engines. The test used a four-wheeled motor vehicle type Elf Long 2771 CC engine with the fuel used Diesel B30, with three variations in WMI percentage, namely 10%, 30% and 50% without Cetane Booster and with a booster. The tests carried out were Power and Torque Tests, with maximum results at 2500 RPM Power at a WMI percentage of 30% with the addition of a 150ml booster of 77.19 and Torque of 234.43. Testing was carried out at 1500 to 2500 rpm with 500 rpm increments using a dyno test tool. To process data using Two Way Anova or commonly called 2-way Anova. So, it can be concluded that the use of a mixture of methanol and water increased power and torque, although not too big, whereas adding a booster of 150ml had a big influence on the power and torque test results. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode experiment untuk mengetahui pengaruh Water Methanol Injection pada daya dan torsi pada Engine Diesel. Pengujian menggunakan kendaraan bermotor roda empat jenis mesin elf long 2771 CC dengan bahan bakar yang digunakan Solar B30, dengan tiga variasi presentase WMI yaitu 10%, 30%, dan 50% tanpa Cetane Booster dan dengan booster. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah Uji Daya dan Torsi, dengan hasil maksimal pada Daya RPM 2500 pada presentase WMI sebesar 30% dengan penambahan cetane booster 150ml adalah 77,19 dan pada Torsi sebesar 234,43. Pengujian dilakukan tiga kali percobaan disetiap RPM dan setiap konsentrasi pada rpm 1500 sampai 2500 rpm dengan kenaikan 500 rpm menggunakan alat dyno test. Untuk mengolah data menggunakan Two Way Anova atau biasa disebut dengan Anova 2 arah. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan campuran methanol dan air pada daya dan torsi mengalami kenaikan jika kadar air lebih tinggi, sedangkan dengan penambahan booster sebesar 150ml memiliki pengaruh yang besar pada hasil pengujian daya dan torsi.

Abstract

Peningkatan performa mesin otomotif beriringan dengan generasi industri 5.0 berproyeksi kepada pencarian solusi untuk meminimalisir emisi gas buang dan meningkatkan efisiensi kerja mesin dan bahan bakar. Alternatif yaitu penggunaan Water Methanol Injection (WMI) yang menginjeksikan campuran air dan methanol kedalam ruang bakar dalam intake manifold. Tujuan mengetahui pengaruh WMI terhadap emisi gas buang dan temperature pada intake manifold dengan fungsi alat menghilangkan knocking atau detonasi pada ruang bakar kompresi tinggi. Metode penelitian berjenis penelitian eksperimen kuantitatif dengan menganalisis emisi gas buang dan temperature di dalam intake manifold dengan komposisi methanol 30%, 20% dan 10%. Objek penelitian Diesel Engine 4JBI-TC 2,771 cc. Hasil yang diperoleh, WMI pada konsentrasi yang berbeda memiliki dampak yang bervariasi terhadap emisi CO, CO2, HC, NOx dalam mengoptimalkan efisiensi dan kinerja mesin pada RPM yang berbeda serta mengendalikan emisi dalam aplikasi mesin dan mengoptimalkan efisiensi pembakaran.

Abstract

Pencurian sepeda motor adalah kasus yang sering kali terjadi di Indonesia. Target utama dari pelaku pencurian ini biasanya tertuju pada kawasan, salah satunya adalah Kota Malang dan Kota Surabaya. Hal ini bukti bahwa sistem keamanan bawaan pabrik kurang efektif untuk keamanan sepeda motor, sehingga perlu inovasi yang mengembangkan sistem keamanan agar lebih optimal. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan utama yakni merancang desain sistem keamanan smart security pada sepeda motor berbasi IoT dan terintegrasi dengan aplikasi Telegram. Jenis penelitian ini adalah RnD (Research and Development) dengan pembuatan desain, pembuatan sistem pengaman, pengujian kinerja alat. Hasil dari penelitian ini yakni sistem bisa mendeteksi gerakan mencurigakan yang dapat memberikan informasi kepada pengguna sehingga dapat memantau titik sepeda motor secara akurat setiap waktu, serta dapat menyulitkan pelaku tindak pencurian dengan mematikan mesin dan mengunci rem sepeda motor.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of self-efficacy and social support on the career maturity of vocational students at SMKN 3 Boyolangu. Self-efficacy plays an important role in helping students make career decisions and face various challenges. This study used multiple linear regression analysis methods with a sample of 86 students from the Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering Expertise Program as samples, with multiple linear regression analysis methods. The results showed that self-efficacy contributed 23.4% to career maturity, while social support contributed 35%. Simultaneously, the two variables contributed 24.4% to students' career maturity. This study highlights the importance of self-efficacy and social support in supporting vocational students' career maturity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh keyakinan diri (self-efficacy) dan dukungan sosial terhadap kematangan karir siswa SMK di SMKN 3 Boyolangu. Self-efficacy berperan penting dalam membantu siswa membuat keputusan karir serta menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis regresi linier berganda dengan sampel 86 siswa dari Program Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif sebagai sampel, dengan metode analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-efficacy memberikan kontribusi sebesar 23,4% terhadap kematangan karir, sedangkan dukungan sosial memberikan kontribusi sebesar 35%. Secara simultan, kedua variabel memberikan kontribusi sebesar 24,4% terhadap kematangan karir siswa. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya self-efficacy dan dukungan sosial dalam mendukung kematangan karir siswa SMK.

Abstract

The number of motorized vehicles in Indonesia is increasing. Therefore, alternative fuels are needed to meet the needs. One of them is LPG (liquified petroleum gas). However, in its application, the engine temperature becomes hotter, making it less efficient, and specific fuel consumption is not optimal. The Water Injection System is one of the additional technologies that can be used to reduce engine heat. This study will compare the results of specific fuel consumption and engine wall temperature with adding a water injection system on a 100cc engine. The data collection results on specific fuel consumption at 3000 RPM without water injection showed the highest figure at 0.0410 (kg/HP.hour), with the addition of a water injection system, it produced 0.0405 (kg/HP.hour). The average engine working temperature without a water injection system was 90.3 0C while adding a water injection system showed 87.8 0C. Jumlah kendaraan bermotor di Indonesia semakin meningkat. Untuk itu diperlukan bahan bakar alternatif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan. Salah satunya adalah LPG (liquified petroleum gas). Namun pada aplikasinya, temperatur mesin menjadi lebih panas, sehingga kurang efisien dan konsumsi bahan bakar spesifiknya tidak optimal. Water injection System adalah salah satu teknologi tambahan yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi panas mesin. Penelitian ini akan membandingkan hasil specific fuel consumption dan temperatur dinding mesin dengan penambahan water injectiontion system pada mesin 100cc. Hasil pengambilan data specific fuel consumption pada 3000 RPM tanpa water injection menunjukkan angka tertinggi di 0,0410 (kg/HP.jam) dan dengan penambahan water injection system menghasilkan 0,0405 (kg/HP.jam). Temperatur kerja mesin rata rata tanpa water injection system menunjukkan 90,3 0C sedangkan ketika menambahkan water injection system menunjukkan 87,8 0C.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the application of asynchronous learning methods on the understanding of material in aerodynamics courses. Asynchronous methods provide flexibility of time and place for students to access learning materials, which include videos, digital modules, and online discussion forums. Data was collected through a questionnaire to measure students' understanding of concepts and satisfaction levels. Students reported high levels of satisfaction related to the flexibility and accessibility of learning. This study concludes that asynchronous methods can be an effective alternative for aerodynamics learning, especially in supporting independent learning and improving students' cognitive skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penerapan metode pembelajaran asinkronus terhadap pemahaman materi pada mata kuliah aerodinamika. Metode asinkronus memberikan fleksibilitas waktu dan tempat bagi Mahasiswa untuk mengakses materi pembelajaran, yang mencakup video, modul digital, dan forum diskusi online. Data dikumpulkan melalui Kuesioner untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep dan tingkat kepuasan Mahasiswa. Mahasiswa melaporkan tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi terkait fleksibilitas dan aksesibilitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa metode asinkronus dapat menjadi alternatif efektif untuk pembelajaran aerodinamika, khususnya dalam mendukung pembelajaran mandiri dan peningkatan keterampilan kognitif Mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of an injection converter kit as a small engine retrofit for improving torque and fuel efficiency in a 100cc four-stroke motorcycle engine. An experimental method was applied using two fuel systems: a conventional carburetor and a retrofit converter kit. Torque and fuel consumption were measured across engine speeds ranging from 3000 to 7000 rpm using a dynamometer and volumetric analysis. The injection system achieved a peak torque of 6.78 N·m at 3600 rpm, exceeding the carburetor’s 5.90 N·m at 5300 rpm. It also demonstrated improved fuel economy at most RPM levels, with a spike at 6000 rpm due to overpressure. Statistical analysis via Two-Way ANOVA confirmed the significance of these differences. The results suggest that the injection converter kit is a viable small engine retrofit option for enhancing performance and efficiency in low-displacement motorcycles.

Abstract

Vocational education aims to produce a competent and competitive workforce, reduce unemployment, and strengthen the industrial sector. This study uses a quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis to evaluate data from 122 students in grades X and XI. The results show that LOC (Locus of Control) and student competence significantly influence job readiness, with a combined contribution of 17.9%. Students with an internal LOC have high motivation and effective decision-making skills, which support their job readiness. Good student competence, including knowledge, skills, and attitude, strengthens their ability to adapt to the workplace. Although LOC's contribution to job readiness is only 8.8%, student competence shows a contribution of 16.1%. These findings highlight the importance of developing LOC and competence in vocational curricula to prepare students for a competitive job market. Educators should design programs that enhance students’ technical skills and LOC, equipping them to better face career challenges.

Abstract

The rising temperature of vehicles in parking lots under the sun is a major cause of poisoning caused by harmful gases in the blood, and the most toxic gas is ammonia (NH3). Exposure to high concentrations of ammonia gas can cause lung damage and death. This research aims to design and build an Internet of Things (IoT)-based vehicle temperature monitoring system using the DHT11 sensor. The DHT11 sensor is able to detect temperature and humidity in real-time with a sufficient level of accuracy, one of the main objectives in the acquisition of temperature data in the vehicle cabin is to improve passenger comfort. Temperatures that are too high or too low can reduce ride comfort. One of the main objectives in the acquisition of temperature data in the vehicle cabin is to improve passenger comfort. By monitoring and controlling the temperature in the cabin in real-time, the cooling (air conditioning) and heating systems can function more efficiently to maintain the optimal temperature.

Abstract

Occupational safety is a critical concern in automotive workshop environments due to the high-risk nature of tasks such as engine repair, welding, and electrical diagnostics. This study investigates automotive workshop risks at the Mitsubishi DIPO Workshop in Bukittinggi by identifying hazards, assessing risk levels, and formulating workplace accident prevention strategies. The HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control) method was applied to evaluate 28 potential hazards, two of which were classified as extreme risks. Further analysis of these risks was conducted using the Fishbone Diagram to identify root causes across six contributing factors: human, machine, material, method, environment, and management. Based on these findings, targeted risk control measures were developed following the hierarchy of control, including engineering interventions, administrative policies, and personal protective equipment. This research demonstrates how integrated methods such as HIRARC and Fishbone Diagram can support comprehensive occupational safety planning and risk mitigation in automotive workshops.
