Abstract

Many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the Riau Islands face obstacles in meeting product standardization, particularly related to production facilities that do not meet Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. This hinders their ability to export, despite government support to facilitate SMEs in licensing and development. This research is intended for explanatory or confirmatory purposes, namely to explain the causal relationships between variables through hypothesis testing. Based on the results of the research data analysis above, the following conclusions can be drawn from this study: Training, innovation, and motivation have a significant influence on product quality. Innovation does not significantly influence product quality. Training and innovation have a significant influence on product quality through the path coefficient results, while motivation does not have a significant influence on product quality through the path coefficient results.

Abstract

The Riau Islands (Kepri) Provincial Government is actively developing cooperatives to improve the competitiveness and professionalism of cooperatives in the region. In fact, by 2024, with 176 cooperatives and 138 active cooperatives, only 26 had submitted their RATs. This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive quantitative approach. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that education and training significantly influence performance by improving employee abilities, skills, and motivation. Teamwork also significantly influences performance, although it does not directly influence motivation. Organizational commitment has been shown to improve performance through employee responsibility and loyalty, as well as increasing work motivation. Motivation itself is an important factor driving better performance. Education and training play a role in increasing motivation, which then contributes to improved performance indirectly as a mediator. Conversely, teamwork has no significant effect on motivation or performance through motivation. Organizational commitment also has a positive impact on performance, both directly and indirectly through

Abstract

Imbalance between work and family is a variable that impacts employee performance, as it can negatively impact both family and performance. If one role at work requires more effort or attention than the role at home, work-family conflict will arise. The majority of employees are married. This indirectly reduces the amount of time spent together with their families. The research approach used a quantitative approach, as this research is presented numerically. Work-life balance and work-family conflict have no significant effect on work commitment, while workload has been shown to increase employee commitment. All of these variables—work-life balance, work-family conflict, workload, and work commitment—have a positive effect on employee performance. However, work commitment does not act as a significant mediator in the relationship between work-life balance, work-family conflict, or workload and performance, so the influence of these variables on performance is direct.

Abstract

Creating good employee performance is not an easy task because, in reality, there are still employees who frequently encounter issues related to discipline and attendance at work. Considering the significant role and position of human resources in the Company’s business activities, a high level of work discipline is required. This study aims to examine the influence of job satisfaction, work motivation, and employee behavior on performance and discipline. The research method used is multiple linear regression analysis with a population of 170 employees and a sample of 119 employees. The results of the study show that the job satisfaction variable, when moderated by discipline, has a significant effect on performance. The work motivation variable, when moderated by discipline, also has a significant effect on performance. Furthermore, the employee behavior variable, after being moderated by discipline, demonstrates a significant influence on performance

Abstract

The shift in work patterns after the pandemic has encouraged organizations to adopt more flexible systems through hybrid work arrangements. However, the effectiveness of this system remains a challenge in maintaining employee job satisfaction across industries. This study aims to analyze the influence of hybrid work style integration and leadership on job satisfaction and examine the moderating role of job characteristics in optimizing hybrid work implementation across industries in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method targeting active employees who have been working under a hybrid system for at least six months. Purposive sampling was used, and data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that leadership has a positive and significant effect on both hybrid work style and job satisfaction, while hybrid work style does not significantly affect job satisfaction. Furthermore, job characteristics have a significant effect on job satisfaction but do not moderate the relationship between hybrid work style and job satisfaction. These findings highlight that adaptive leadership and meaningful job characteristics are essential factors in enhancing employee satisfaction, whereas work flexibility alone is insufficient to ensure optimal satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital competence and agile work culture on employee performance in the era of industrial transformation 4.0. The background of this research is driven by the phenomenon of technical skills gaps and cultural adaptation challenges in the electronic manufacturing sector in Batam City. The research method employed is quantitative, utilizing questionnaires distributed to 100 employees at the Batamindo Industrial Park. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results indicate that: (1) Digital competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and (2) Agile work culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, both variables contribute an influence of 67.8% on employee performance. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that digital upskilling strategies combined with flexible cultural transformation are key determinants in increasing productivity in the modern manufacturing industry
