Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the relevance: First, the learning material of history specialization Basic Competency 3.7 in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Ulakan Tapakis Pariaman Based on Curriculum 2013. Second, the relevance of the material of History of Specialization Basic Competency 3.7 in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Ulakan Tapakis Pariaman Based on Curriculum 2013 with the implementation of learning, and third, the obstacles and efforts of teachers in overcoming the problem of Relevance of the material of History of Specialization Basic Competency 3.7 in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Ulakan Tapakis Pariaman Based on Curriculum 2013 with the implementation of learning. The relevance of specialization history material Basic Competency 3.7 with the implementation of learning is not in accordance with its implementation in the field because there is not enough time. In addition, there are several obstacles in learning history including the unpreparedness of learning support instruments, Covid 19 and classroom conditions that do not meet the requirements and Efforts made to overcome these obstacles include: giving assignments to students related to Basic Competency 3.7, providing an overview of learning material that must be completed and preparing learning stages so that the implementation of learning is in accordance with what is expected by the 2013 Curriculum.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop virtual reality learning media by integrating material from the history of the local clinic at the Santa Maria Museum at one of the high schools in Metro City. The method used in research uses research development (R&D) methods. The research stages include the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects in this study consisted of two material expert validators, two media expert validators, 40 high school class XI students, and one history teacher. The results of the development research show that virtual reality media based on the Santa Maria Clinical Museum has been proven valid and feasible based on the assessment of material experts and media experts. Based on the results of small group trials, limited group trials, and large trials, it was shown that virtual reality learning media based on the Santa Maria Clinical Museum proved to be effective and fit the needs of the analysis.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the various efforts in learning activities that have not been maximized as well as determine the causes of these efforts that have not been maximized. This research was conducted during the learning process took place in class xi. This study uses a qualitative research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through observation of learning activities in learning activities including planning, implementation, evaluation and student activities. In addition, interviews were also conducted and supplemented by document studies. In order for the data in this study to be reliable, data triangulation was used. While the data analysis technique used is through the stages of data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The research objects were 38 class xi students and teachers in the field of history in that class. From the results of research in the field, it can be obtained that there are several learning activities studied in class xi, the learning activities carried out by the teacher can be said to be in accordance with the planning, implementation and evaluation of learning. Then the teacher's ability to create something new in history learning is quite good and student activities in listening, paying attention, asking questions, responding to questions, reading and doing exercises are in the sufficient category.

Abstract

Tracing the world of advertising which has been so varied, of course, it cannot be separated from historical developments that are very far back, which have become popular since the XVII century. This study aims to reveal the characteristics of the advertising style and branding that developed in the Dutch East Indies era, which in turn has driven Indonesian advertising rapidly until now. The method used in this study is a literature study with a historiographical approach that examines diachronically the development of advertising and branding in the 18th to early 20th centuries. The results of this study are that there are two characteristics of advertising carried out by the Dutch in the past, namely through classified ad forms and visual forms. Some advertisements are also inseparable from the development of print mass media such as newspapers and magazines which are widespread in society. Branding and advertising strategies also vary, ranging from leaflets or posters with attractive visual designs as propaganda efforts to simple columns of lines that are persuasive and propaganda.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the problem of the lack of use of learning models in the teaching and learning process, as well as the lack of active students to the learning process in the History class X IPS SMA Negeri 12 Padang. This study aims to determine whether the application of the Group Investigation (GI) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of students in class X IPS SMA Negeri 12 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental approach. The sample in this study were X IPS class students consisting of 35 people from the control class and 35 people from the experimental class. The instrument used for data collection is a test question (pretest and posttest). The results of (pretest and posttest) were analyzed using SPSS 25. From the research results obtained pretest data in the control class obtained an average of 60.71 with the highest score of 80 percentage level 17.6%, while the value of the experimental class obtained an average of 64.71 with the highest score of 90 percentage level 8.6%. And posttest data in the control class obtained an average of 73.00 with the highest score of 95 percentage level 2.9%, while the value of the experimental class obtained an average of 82.29 with the highest score of 100 percentage level 5.7%. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Group Investigation (GI) Learning Model can be one way or solution that can be used to improve the learning outcomes of History students in class X IPS SMA Negeri 12 Padang.

Abstract

Local history learning can be used to foster students' awareness and interest in the area where they live. Through learning local history students can also learn about the uniqueness of their region such as culture, historical heritage and local wisdom. One source that can be used as a local history lesson is the "Muaro-Pekanbaru" Railway Monument cultural reserve. This monument is a historical heritage located in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province and is one of the proofs of the Japanese occupation of Indonesia when they occupied Pekanbaru. The existence of this railway monument was built to commemorate and honor the romushas who died tragically in the construction of a train network that connected the east coast and west coast of Sumatra with the route from Muaro to Pekanbaru. This monument can be a source of learning local history for the community, especially in Pekanbaru. This paper aims to explain the utilization of the "Muaro-Pekanbaru" Railway Monument Cultural Heritage Site in learning local history. The approach used in this study is descriptive-qualitative. The results of the study show that the "Muaro-Pekanbaru" Railway Monument cultural heritage can be used as a source of learning local history in Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile in Social Studies learning, which consists of the methods adopted to strengthen character in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile, and the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile in Social Studies learning at Adabiah Padang Middle School. This research uses a qualitative type. This research uses data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. From the research results it is known that 4 of the 6 indicators for Pancasila student profiles are the focus of strengthening social studies teachers at Adabiah Middle School, including faith and piety to God Almighty, Global Diversity, Cooperation and Critical Reasoning. The implementation of the 4 Pancasila Student profiles which are the focus is reflected in every activity in the school. The Social Sciences teacher implements Pancasila student profile indicators of faith and piety to God Almighty by integrating the Koran with Social Sciences material in every lesson accompanied by life advice. Implementation of global diversity by emphasizing the importance of unity in diversity, implementing collaboration by habituating learning activities using collaborative strategies, and implementing critical reasoning by confronting students with various phenomena and providing solutions to phenomena that occur.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the lack of interest of students in learning history so that they are unable to take the wisdom values from the past in improving the character of the students themselves. Evidenced by the fact that there are still students who have low character such as skipping classes, smoking, not being disciplined about time, not respecting teachers and so on. The research method used is qualitative research. Data sources are school principals, history teachers and class XI students. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis with data reduction, data presentation, and draw conclusions. Based on the result of field research, it shows that the history teacher’s readiness in implementing character education is good by preparing the syllabus and lesson plan, the implementation of character education assessment instruments, but it is done well because it is in accordance with the syllabus and lesson plan inserted with a value assessment the value of the nation’s character. Student’s perceptions or responses to the implementation of character education are good, as evidenced by good character according to what students say that the instilling of character according to what students say that the instilling of character according to what students say that the instilling of character values by teachers is good, but some students do not instill character education in their lives so that there are still students who violate teacher rules. Abstract

Ethical politics carried out by the Dutch colonial government towards the Minangkabau community provided great opportunities for the advancement of Minangkabau education. One of the striking Dutch policies was its education, and this education policy became the core of this colonial policy. Therefore, at the beginning of the 20th century in Minangkabau, there was a movement carried out by several women, one of which was Rahmah El Yunus. This research is a literature study that uses a philosophical approach and a historical approach. The data analysis techniques used in this study are descriptive analysis techniques and content analysis. From the results of this research on Women's Education in Minangkabau in the Era of Ethical Politics, there is a girls' school in Minangkabau, namely Diniyyah Puteri Padang Panjang founded by Rahmah El Yunus. Rahmah El Yunus was very motivated to make Minangkabau women more advanced and intelligent by establishing a special school for girls, namely the Diniyyah Putri Padang Panjang school. The importance of education is not only for men, but also for women. A woman who gets an education will be an example for her child and also her family.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the public's perception regarding the concept of lost money in traditional marriages in the Pariaman Kuamang Kuning Regional Family Association. The method used in this research is qualitative description. The steps used include observation, interviews, literature study and documentation. The results of this research contain the views of the family unity community in the Pariaman area regarding the concept of lost money. Lost money is a tradition carried out by the Pariaman people by giving a certain amount of money to the prospective groom which will later be used as kitchen money and the money will not be returned. and is the full right of men. Many people disagree with the concept of lost money, this is because there is an opinion that men seek to profit from lost money and harm women who must pay japuik money, lost money including customary money. However, quite a few people think that the concept of lost money has an important meaning in respecting men, where later men will become guests in women's families because the Pariaman community implements a matriennial system. Apart from that, lost money is also a form of pride in the family of women who have sons-in-law. with a high social level
