Abstract

Tari Gending Sriwijaya adalah tari tradisional yang mengandung unsur budaya Palembang di setiap bagiannya. Setelah memicu kontroversi kontemporer yang menganjurkan penghapusan tari Gending Sriwijaya, tulisan ini hadir sebagai ungkapan kritis menolak konsepsi tersebut. Pentingnya warisan budaya dalam konteks kebudayaan haruslah disajikan sebagai acuan edukasi sebab kehadirannya merupakan bentuk historical value. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah kajian tari Gending Sriwijaya berfokus pada tafsir gerak yang diperagakan oleh penari melalui metode penelitian fenomenologi, guna mencari nilai moralitas yang terkandung dalam gerak tari dan mencari refleksi historis civil society dalam orientasi nilai. Hasil pembahasan: 1) Historisitas tari Gending Sriwijaya; 2) Tafsir gerak tari Gending Sriwijaya dalam kajian nilai moralitas; 3) Nilai refleksi historis civil society. Tari Gending Sriwijaya sebaiknya menjadi orientasi logis dalam pengejawantahan tari sebagai refleksi nilai historis, sebab kebutuhannya menyokong adab generasi mendatang yang berkontribusi terhadap kesuksesan visi civil society.Gending Sriwijaya dance is a traditional dance that contains elements of Palembang culture in every part of it. After triggering a contemporary controversy that advocated the abolition of the Gending Sriwijaya dance, this paper came as a critical expression of rejecting the claim. The importance of cultural heritage must be presented as an educational reference because its presence is a form of historical value. The purpose of this writing is the study of Gending Sriwijaya dance which focuses on interpretations of motion that are exhibited by dancers through phenomenology research methods, in order to find the moral values contained in dance movements and seek historical reflection of civil society. Results of discussion: 1) The historicity of the Gending Sriwijaya dance; 2) The moral values contained in the motions of the Gending Sriwijaya dance; 3) Historical reflection values of civil society. Gending Sriwijaya dance should be a logical orientation in the embodiment of dance as a reflection of historical value because its usefulness as a support for future generations of who will contribute to the success of vision of civil society.

Abstract

Historical education in the context of learning must offer valuable solutions to overcoming character problems. This urgency should be understood by all history educators as a mandate that history is a heritage of values, it is necessary to absorb values, so that the goal of history in forming wise human beings will be achieved. Self-esteem is one aspect of personality that has an important role and has a major influence on individual attitudes and behavior. This value is very important to support the national identity and character of students. The dynamics of modernization requires a container of values in cultural transformation, so that students who are citizens have filters to sort out the impact of the current of modernization. The research method used is a qualitative paradigm (qualitative description). The results of the discussion: 1) Explanation of self-esteem in character building; 2) The position of learning history in growing self-esteem. The conclusions of this study include: 1) Self-esteem has a major influence on the formation of students' character; 2) History learning is a bridge for students' character growth; 3) Character building is very difficult in national education if learning is not oriented to certain values.

Abstract

Sejarah lokal memberikan sumbangsih besar terhadap sejarah nasional. Namun, bukan berarti sejarah lokal selalu menjurus kearah politik. Sejarah lokal juga dapat dimaknai sebagai pengalaman berharga dalam penanaman nilai dan karakter bagi peserta didik. Maka dari itu, dibutuhkan peran optimal dari guru sejarah untuk merancang sebuah pembelajaran sejarah lokal yang dapat menjalankan fungsi enkulturasi berpikir kritis. Konsep berpikir kritis diharapkan mampu mengarahkan peserta didik untuk berpikir solusional pada saat yang tepat. Penulisan ini menggunakan paradigma kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Hasil penelitian meliputi: 1) Deteksi nilai filosofis dalam sejarah lokal; 2) Berpikir kritis dalam kajian sejarah lokal; 3) Metode aktivasi dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Kesimpulan yang di dapat yakni: 1) Nilai-nilai sejarah (historical value) yang terdapat pada sejarah lokal sangatlah penting untuk dijadikan refleksi dan imajinasi masa depan dalam berkehidupan dan berbangsa; 2) Pembelajaran sejarah lokal dapat menjadi lebih menarik jika dikontekstualisasikan dengan lingkungan sekitar; 3) Guru dapat leluasa untuk menggunakan berbagai model pembelajaran berbasis nilai pada materi sejarah lokal.

Abstract

Abstrak: Reformasi mengubah wajah politik di Eropa kemudian perubahan itu terjadi di bagian-bagian dunia. Reformasi digagas oleh Martin Luther, seorang pastur di Jerman yang merasa prihatin dengan kondisi umat Kristen. Selain kepapaan masyarakat Kristen yang bertolak belakang dengan kondisi kehidupan mewah para penguasa dan para pastur Gereja, pemberlakuan praktek penjualan Surat Penghapusan Dosa atau yang disebut Surat Aflat menjadi penyebab munculnya dorongan untuk menyusun ulang pola kehidupan masyarakat Kristen. Luther memprotes penyelewengan pihak gereja dengan mencetuskan 95 Dalil dan memakunya di pintu gereja, usaha itu mendapat sambutan dari cendikiawan-cendikiawan Barat yang terbuka pikirannya. Buah dari penerimaan itu reformasi gereja bertransformasi menjadi gerakan pembaharuan pada kesadaran teokrasi yang lebih kuat, perubahan dan pembaharuan bentuk-bentuk hidup gereja, sikap aktif terhadap politik, hingga cara pandang reformasi bertransformasi memuat nilai-nilai utama yang menjadi landasan dan harapan berproses, bernegara dan bermasyarakat. Kata kunci: reformasi, gereja, Katolik Roma, Martin Luther, Calvinisme Abstract: The reforms changed the face of politics in Europe then those changes took place in those parts of the world. The Reformation was initiated by Martin Luther, a priest in Germany who was concerned about the condition of Christians. In addition to the poverty of the Christian community which is contrary to the luxurious living conditions of the rulers and priests of the Church, the imposition of the practice of selling penance letters or the so-called Aflat letter is the cause of the urge to rearrange the pattern of Christian community life. Luther protested against the irregularities of the church by inventing the 95 Theses and nailed them to the door of the church, the effort received a response from Western scholars who were open-minded. The result of the acceptance of church reform is transformed into a movement of renewal in the consciousness of a stronger theocracy, change and renewal of the forms of church life, an active attitude towards politics until the perspective of reform is transformed to contain the main values that are the foundation and expectations of the process, state, and society. Abstract

Kedudukan Bahasa Inggris yang bukan merupakan bahasa sehari-hari pada masyarakat kita membuat siswa Sekolah Dasar kesulitan dalam mengembangkan skillnya. Anak yang berasal dari keluarga pra-sejahtera memiliki kendala ekonomi untuk mengikuti kursus yang berbayar. Maka dari itu melalui program Community Service yang rutin dilaksanakan satu tahun sekali, siswa kelas XI SMAN Sumatera Selatan yang tergabung dalam kelompok 1 memilih tema berjudul Expladish (explore, play, and study english). Kegiatan ini memberikan kesempatan kepada anak-anak untuk belajar lebih lanjut mengenai Bahasa Inggris. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang diartikan sebagai pendekatan penelitian yang mendorong pihak-pihak yang terkait dalam berkomitmen untuk menghasilkan perubahan sosial yang dilakukan melalui pemberdayaan dengan masyarakat. Hasil yang didapat dari program ini antara lain: 1) Munculnya kesadaran dalam diri anak-anak untuk lebih mengeksplorasi kemampuan berbahasa Inggris, 2) Bertambahnya pengetahuan seperti pengayaan vocabulary, 3) Meningkatnya kemampuan untuk merangkai kata dalam bahasa Inggris. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini sangat penting untuk dilaksanakan secara rutin karena dapat meningkatkan daya dukung anak pada rentang usia 6-12 tahun untuk melanjutkan ke jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi dan mampu bersaing dalam pendidikan di era modern.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between understanding Indonesian history and students' national defense attitudes. This research is a type of quantitative research with a correlational approach. The sample used was 257 students, data collection using questionnaires and tests. Questionnaires are used to reveal data about the attitude of state defense, while tests are used to reveal understanding of Indonesian history. Data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive analysis. The prerequisite test of analysis is normality test and linearity test. Hypothesis testing using Karl Pearson correlation poduct moment. The results of the findings show that there is a positive and significant relationship between understanding Indonesian history and students' national defense attitudes with a correlation coefficient of 0.742. Thus, if the understanding of Indonesian history is high, it will lead to a strong state defense attitude in students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the public's perception regarding the concept of lost money in traditional marriages in the Pariaman Kuamang Kuning Regional Family Association. The method used in this research is qualitative description. The steps used include observation, interviews, literature study and documentation. The results of this research contain the views of the family unity community in the Pariaman area regarding the concept of lost money. Lost money is a tradition carried out by the Pariaman people by giving a certain amount of money to the prospective groom which will later be used as kitchen money and the money will not be returned. and is the full right of men. Many people disagree with the concept of lost money, this is because there is an opinion that men seek to profit from lost money and harm women who must pay japuik money, lost money including customary money. However, quite a few people think that the concept of lost money has an important meaning in respecting men, where later men will become guests in women's families because the Pariaman community implements a matriennial system. Apart from that, lost money is also a form of pride in the family of women who have sons-in-law. with a high social level

Abstract

This service activity aims to provide training in the use of Mendeley to Jambi University History Education students to overcome various problems faced by students in writing scientific papers. Students often encounter problems or problems in writing, for example: 1) lack of consistency in the theme/title with the content of the writing, 2) unfocused problem formulation, 3) sub-chapters are less detailed, 4) quotations in the literature review are not relevant to the bibliography, 5) Conclusion does not describe the content of the writing, 6) EYD is not correct, and 7) writing system is not guided by applicable writing standards. Mendeley is an application that can be used to make it easier for students to cite and compile bibliography in writing scientific papers in a more efficient way. This training activity was carried out in three stages, namely preparation, training implementation and evaluation. It is hoped that this training can be a positive motivation for students and be able to improve their skills in writing scientific papers which will also have an impact on improving the quality of students' scientific work within Jambi University.

Abstract

This service is motivated by the independent curriculum policy which has a program to improve literacy and numeracy of students. Strengthening literacy and numeracy for students at SDN 022 Kota Jambi requires the involvement of various stakeholders such as school supervisors, principals teachers, and teaching staff at school. The purpose of the literacy and numeracy service at SDN 022 Jambi City is first, to hone and strengthen the knowledge and numeracy skills of students in interpreting numbers, data, tables, graphs and diagrams. Second, to apply literacy and numeracy knowledge and skills to solve problems and make decisions in everyday life based on logical considerations. Third, forming and strengthening resources (SDA) to be able to compete and collaborate with other nations for the prosperity and welfare of the nation and state. The literacy and numeracy program is carried out in the form of making reading corners, literacy trees, numeracy ice, making fraction pizzas and socializing the 3 big sins of education.

Abstract

Abstrak: The problem that occurs among students in the history education study program is that the level of student entrepreneurial creativity is still low, and the minimal output of students who take part in the student entrepreneurship program (PMW). This is because the learning process, especially those that support entrepreneurship values, is still limited to theory and minimal practice. This service activity aims to increase the entrepreneurial creativity of history education students through assistance in preparing business plans. This is in line with the vision of the history education study program, namely to become an entrepreneur based on historical skills. This service activity was carried out in two sessions, the first session was the delivery of material by the resource person and the division into groups guided by the moderator. Next, the second session was the practice of preparing business plans and presentations for each group which were monitored by the team. The result is that there are several draft business plans and product prototypes from each group that have been shared
