Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the supply chain management process carried out by fishermen in their search for fish at a Fishery Port in East Java, Indonesia. In this study, the researcher directly observed the supply chain management process at the port. Additionally, the researcher analyzed how this process aligns with Islamic Sharia, ensuring that the supply chain activities are considered halal (permissible) and toyyib (wholesomeness). This study employed a qualitative case study method using the Miles and Huberman analysis technique (data reduction, data display, and data verification). The processes involved all stages from the sea and to the end of the supply chain where the catch was being sold to customers. Based on the objective of examining halal supply chain management, the researcher found that the activities performed by the fishermen at the port can be considered halal and toyyib. As this study is only focusing on upstream, future researchers could focus on the full-scale supply chain.

Abstract

Indonesia is the world's top producer and exporter of palm oil, generating 46 million tonnes of crude palm oil. PT SMART Tbk (SMAR) is one of Indonesia's big palm oil companies, with a plantation area of 136,402 hectares. The Indonesian government implemented the B35 biodiesel policy in February 2023, indicating there is potential for growth in the increased use of palm oil as a biodiesel blend. The positive sentiment from the B35 program, which will continue into the B40 program, is expected to boost domestic market demand for biodiesel, consequently impacting SMAR's sales revenue. The study aims to evaluate SMAR's business performance, intrinsic value, and propose solutions to close the value discrepancy gap. The study adopts a quantitative approach for stock valuation calculations and a qualitative approach for underlying assumptions. The analysis covers financial statement analysis, financial ratio analysis, PESTLE analysis, Porter’s five forces analysis, absolute valuation and relative valuation methods. Based on the FCFF analysis, SMAR's intrinsic value is Rp 8,609 while the market price is Rp 5,200, indicating that SMAR is undervalued. The relative valuation analysis using PER, PBV, and EV/EBITDA also indicates that SMAR is undervalued compared to similar companies in the palm oil industry. Overall, this indicates a potential investment opportunity for investors in SMAR shares.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of vermicompost fertilizer dose interaction and effective microorganisms (EM4) on the growth and yield of onion plants (Allium ascalonicum L.) cultivar Bima Brebes. The research was carried out in Karangwangun Village, Babakan District, Cirebon Regency – West Java, from February to May 2023. The design used is an experimental method with a factorial pattern Group Random Design (RAK), consisting of two factors, namely vermicompost fertilizer and effective microorganisms (EM4). Application of vermicompost fertilizer (K), which consists of 3 levels, namely: K1 = 5 tons / ha, K2 = 10 tons / ha, and K3 = 15 tons / ha; Effective Microorganism Factor (EM4) (E) which consists of 3 levels, namely: E1 = EM4 5 cc / Liter of water, E2 = EM4 10 cc / Liter of water, and E3 = EM4 15 cc / Liter of water. Each treatment or experimental unit was repeated three times for a total of 27 plots. Data analysis was carried out using fingerprints and follow-up tests with the Duncan Multiple Distance Test at the level of 5%. The variables observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves per clump (strands), number of saplings per clump (fruit), tuber diameter (cm), weight of fresh tubers per clump, weight of fresh tubers per plot, weight of dry tubers per clump and per plot. The results showed that: (1) there was no interaction between vermicompost fertilizer application and effective microorganisms (EM4) on all observation parameters, (2) The independent effect of vermicompost fertilizer application had a significant effect on the average variable weight of fresh tubers per plot. Meanwhile, the treatment of effective microorganisms (EM4) has an independent effect on the average plant height variable aged 21 days after planting (HST).

Abstract

The development of digitalization of almost all aspects of modern life, including healthcare, has been influenced by the use of technology. Health is very important for everyone, no matter age, socioeconomic status, or other factors. The current digital age in the provision of medical services through virtual clinics has grown rapidly. However, the existence of online clinics creates unclear legal regulations for therapeutic transactions, which can have potentially adverse legal repercussions for patients. Patients can file lawsuits against online clinics and healthcare professionals involved if there is an error in diagnosis or treatment. Therapeutic transactions consist of medication, diagnosis and medical treatment. But in online clinics, there is debate about the legality and ethics of these therapeutic transactions. Some of the problems that arise in therapeutic transactions through online clinics include the inability to perform physical examinations, medical data security issues, and the inability to track patient histories. The method used to assess is doctrinal (normative juridical), considering the concept of law as written law, which is made by local government regulations. The results showed that Health Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health and Article 1320 of the Civil Code, which regulates the legal terms of an agreement, can be used to assess the validity of therapeutic transactions carried out in online clinics. The research findings also show that fulfillment of the requirements of Health Law Number 36 of 2009 must include the responsibility of patients who receive medical care through online clinics. To optimize their services on online clinic platforms such as the Cirebon City Health Office, health service providers and health practitioners such as doctors, medical personnel, and other health workers use this platform. These organizers must consider Health Law Number 36 of 2009, which covers medical practice standards, telemedicine patient privacy, and a doctor's license or License to Practice. In addition, special policies must be made by the central government and the Cirebon City Health Office to provide clear legal protection for patients who receive medical services through online clinics when conducting medical transactions.
