Abstract

SSGI (Nutritional Status Study of Indonesia) survey in 2021 found that prevalence of stunted infants in Sumatera Utara province is still higher (25.8%) than the national limit. It is known that stunting is multifactorial condition with breastmilk/weaning food feeding behavior as one of the contributing factor. Furthermore, family’s attitude toward consuming wide variety diets is also considered as factors related to stunting. Secondary data from SSGI 2021 involving 10,755 households was used in this study. STATA application was used to help analyzing the data. Statistical analysis was conducted by using Chi Square and showed that breastmilk/weaning food feeding behavior, and varied diets in family were not contributing factors of stunting in Sumatera Utara province. However, we found that educational background was significant contributing factor to stunting (p = 0.000). We suggest that other approach, such as qualitative measure may be used in future study to investigate factors attributable to stunting.

Abstract

Organizations in the digital era increasingly understand the importance of implementing accounting information systems (AIS) because can help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes, as well as assist managerial decision making. In reality, not all AIS implementations are successful, because information systems are not just computerized systems that are run manually but more than that involve business processes and resource utilization. This article is a literature review aimed at understanding the factors that determine the success and failure of implementing an accounting information system. The discussion was carried out descriptively based on a literature review and previous findings related to the determining factors for the success and failure of implementing an accounting information system.

Abstract

The need for gas in Indonesia is currently quite urgent, but the infrastructure to provide natural gas supplies for industry is inadequate, so the government is encouraging the development of national natural gas infrastructure. In this project, build facilities including Tie-in at the Onshore Receiving Facilities (ORF) and then build a pipeline. The ORF consists of various large instruments, the installation process of which requires the assistance of heavy equipment such as a crane. Instrument installation work at ORF using a crane is included in the critical & extreme risk because the placement will use more than one crane and this work is carried out on a platform. Apart from that, the ORF was built next to an existing LPG station, so this condition has its own potential danger. To find out the source of the biggest risks, risks that may occur, methods of risk mitigation, and the level of effectiveness of the mitigation provided, occupational safety and health risk management analysis could be carried out using the House of Risk (HOR) and Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Determining Control (HIRADC) method. Lifting activities on the ORF platform was the biggest source of danger and there were 15 possible risks that may occur, 3 risk agents were in the mobilization of heavy equipment activities (cranes), 5 risk events were in the crane placement activities and 7 risk events were from material transport activities and there were 36 risks agents in it, 9 risk agents for mobilization activities, 11 risk agents for crane placement activities and 14 risk agents for material transport activities. Of the 36 risk agents, 16 of them have high potential, so suggestions for risk mitigation actions were given using the HOR phase II method. By conducting discussions, there were 48 mitigation action plans that were able to reduce the potential of risk agents with 36 main preventive actions, namely suggestions for mitigation actions that had difficulty value 3 or easy to implement. After assessing the recommended preventive actions, an assessment is carried out that there was a reduction in the level of risk using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Determining Control (HIRADC) method, where there were 3 medium risk categories and 13 low-risk categories. Before recommendations for risk mitigation actions, there were 3 extreme risk categories and 13 high risk categories.

The study sampled 60 respondents of which 85 was made up of students. The study employed questionnaire. With the quantitative data, it was analysed using frequencies and percentages with the aid of Statistical Package for Service Solution. The study found that students were knowledgeable about oral hygiene. Students have good attitude towards oral hygiene. They thought that brushing their teeth regularly will help prevent oral problems; regular visit to dentist is relevant; and think that maintaining good healthy teeth is an individual responsibility. Students have good practice regarding oral hygiene. Respondents spend small time in brushing their teeth while small respondents brush under the supervision of their parents. It was recommended that students should be encouraged to continue to visit the dentist regularly and not to wait till they have issue with their teeth. Also, students should be encouraged to spend more time in brushing their teeth regularly and also twice a day. Moreover, parents should be encouraged to supervise their children when brushing their teeth, especially, among students who have decayed teeth or oral problems. Students should be educated or sensitize about the negative effect of sweet on their oral health. Rinsing of their mouth after meals should be encouraged among students to ensure proper oral hygiene.

Abstract

The demand for salak pondoh is increasing along with the increase in economic growth and population. Efforts to maintain the quality of salak pondoh fruit are to delay ripeness using various types of packaging and knowing the most effective type of packaging to extend the shelf life of salak fruit. The research was carried out at the Agricultural Product Processing Technology Laboratorium, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati. The study design used Complete Randomized Design (RAL) with TK treatment = no packaging, P = Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) plastic packaging and K = carton box packaging, each treatment was repeated as many times 9 times. The parameters observed were percentage of weight loss, hardness, total dissolved solids and vitamin C levels. The data obtained were analyzed with Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and if the difference was real continued with the Scott-Knott test at the level of significance of 5%. The results showed that the use of cardboard box packaging material was able to delay the ripeness of salak fruit. Low density polyethylene plastic is a type of packaging that is effective in reducing the weight loss and hardness of salak fruit, and cardboard boxes are a type of packaging that effective in suppressing total dissolved solids and vitamin C levels of salak pondoh fruit (Salacca edulis Reinw.).

The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through limited observation, in-depth interviews, FGDs and document studies so as to obtain primary and secondary data. Informants were purposively selected as many as 6 people. The data is analyzed interpretively. The validity of the data is done through triangulation. The results showed that in the face of poor post-disaster socioeconomic conditions, there are five models of strategies or rational survival actions carried out by widowed women, namely, borrowing business capital, building an entrepreneurial career, finding a new job, becoming a daily freelancer, and getting married. The forms of rational action carried out by widows are instrumental rational actions, value rationality actions and effective rational actions.
