Abstract

This study investigates the strategic leadership of school principals in executing teacherpreneurship within the digital age in primary schools in Aceh Tamiang District, Indonesia. Teacherpreneurship, which merges teaching expertise with entrepreneurial skills, is vital for enhancing educational innovation, advancing digital literacy, and cultivating teacher creativity. The implementation of teacherpreneurship at the primary level is constrained by poor digital competence, insufficient infrastructure, and lack institutional support, notwithstanding its significance. This research utilized a qualitative case study methodology across two primary schools, incorporating interviews, observations, and document analysis to investigate principals' practices in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of teacherpreneurship programs. The findings reveal that principals' strategies comprise three primary components: (1) strategic formulation, which includes the design of innovation-driven programs and the assessment of teacher capacity needs; (2) strategy implementation, encompassing collaborative leadership, professional development initiatives, digital innovation facilitation, and stakeholder engagement; and (3) strategy evaluation, centred on performance monitoring, barrier identification, and the refinement of innovation programs. The research suggests that teacherpreneurship can substantially improve educational quality when bolstered by visionary leadership, sufficient capacity-building, and digital learning infrastructure. Recommendations encompass enhancing systematic digital training, cultivating innovative ecosystems, and incorporating teacherpreneurship into school development strategies.

Abstract

This study objective is to develop Google Sites–based learning media for the History of Islamic Culture (SKI) subject, evaluate its validity, and analyze the responses of teachers and students regarding its implementation. The study utilized a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, namely the Four-D (4D) model, which encompasses the steps of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research participants included one materials expert, two media experts, two SKI teachers, and thirty-four seventh-grade students from the Digital class at MTsN 1 Langsa. Data were gathered using validation questionnaires, observations, and interviews, and subsequently analyzed employing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. The results indicate that the development process was methodically executed in alignment with the 4D model. Expert validation showed that it was very likely to work, with scores of 98.6% from material experts and 95.3% from media experts. Limited testing at the distribution stage showed very positive results, with 94% of students and 97.3% of teachers saying that the media are very useful and good for SKI learning. These findings indicate that Google Sites-based learning media offer a novel and efficacious alternative for SKI instruction in madrasahs, facilitating effective content delivery, augmenting student motivation and learning autonomy, and promoting digital literacy in technology-enhanced learning environments.

Abstract

The development of digital media has changed the way Indonesians access and disseminate religious information, creating vulnerability to hoaxes that impact behavior, perceptions, and the dynamics of religious diversity in both public and private spaces. This study aims to understand how religious hoaxes are constructed and disseminated on social media, as well as how emotions, identity, and digital authority shape user responses. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design based on document analysis, this study examines news archives, fact-checking databases, national hoax monitoring reports, and digital traces from various social media platforms. Thematic analysis was used to identify patterns of meaning that emerged in circulating religious narratives. The results reveal four main findings: the use of religious arguments and aesthetics in building narrative authority; the exploitation of fear, guilt, and chain logic; the shift of religious authority towards algorithm-based legitimacy and virality; and the normalization of hoax dissemination in private spaces reinforced by a culture of digital charity. These findings enrich the study of Islamic communication, media ecology, and disinformation studies by emphasizing that hoax mitigation requires an ethical-spiritual approach that can address the affective and identity dimensions of users. In practical terms, this research provides direction for strengthening religious digital literacy and public communication strategies that are more adaptive to the algorithmic dynamics and digital culture of society.

Abstract

(AR) and (VR) are considered effective educational tools for promoting meaningful learning processes, increasing student engagement, and encouraging active participation. However, there are still differences of opinion among academics regarding the extent to which these learning media actually help students develop their practical skills. Using a meta-analysis methodology, this study aims to thoroughly examine the effectiveness of using (VR) and (AR) in improving practical skills in vocational education. The PRISMA approach, which includes identification, screening, and inclusion steps, was used to screen scientific publications published in the last five years (2020–2025) that were accessible through Google Scholar and SCOPUS. The field of research and year of publication were the basis for the inclusion criteria. Of the 546 items found, 6 were eligible for analysis. Significance tests and effect size calculations were used to analyze the data. With an effect size of 0.754 and a p-value of 0.025 < 0.05, the meta-analysis findings indicate that the use of VR and AR has a moderate impact on improving practical skills and is free from potential data bias. These findings have important implications for educators and policymakers who wish to use VR and AR as crucial teaching and learning techniques.

Abstract

Small-scale gold mining activities in Dava Village still heavily rely on mercury (Hg) in the amalgamation process, potentially contaminating groundwater in the surrounding residential areas. This study aims to analyze mercury concentrations in well water based on nine sampling points representing areas near tailings disposal, amalgam burning locations, and residential zones. Laboratory analysis showed that all samples had Hg concentrations far exceeding national quality standards (<0.001 mg/L), with the highest values found at points S6, S9, and S2, which are close to the pollution source. This spatial pattern indicates a strong relationship between artisanal gold mining activity and increased Hg contamination in shallow aquifers. Environmental factors such as open tailings infiltration, surface runoff, deposition of Hg vapor from amalgam burning, and pH variations also influence mercury mobility and accumulation. This finding confirms that traditional gold processing practices without adequate waste management pose serious risks to public health and environmental quality. Mitigation efforts thru reduced mercury use, better tailings management, and regular water quality monitoring are needed to reduce potential future exposure

Abstract

The goal of this study is to analyze the waste generation rate and waste service coverage in Natar District, as well as to determine appropriate service improvement scenarios based on the capacity of the Karang Sari Final Processing Site (FPS). Waste generation and collection data were monitored over a 7 day period in March 2024 according to SNI 19-3964-1995 by recording the number of truck trips and waste volume. The analysis found that the collected waste entering the FPS is 24.19 m³/day, significantly lower than the total projected waste generation in Natar District, which is 57.59 m³/day. This discrepancy results in a low service level of only 42%, falling far below the regional target of 70%. A 10% annual improvement scenario, aligned with national targets, is projected to achieve full coverage by 2029. The study recommends integrating service improvements with community based waste reduction programs and strengthening waste banks to support sustainable waste management and extend the FPS's lifespan.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of school management's administrative competence, interpersonal communication, and achievement motivation on teacher performance in public elementary schools within the Meurah Dua Subdistrict of Pidie Jaya Regency. Data were acquired from 128 teachers using a quantitative descriptive technique with a correlational survey design, employing total sampling. Questionnaires utilizing a Likert scale were administered, and the data were analyzed through Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that managerial competence significantly enhances teacher effectiveness, with the control function identified as the most prominent factor. Interpersonal communication exerts a beneficial yet rather modest impact on teacher effectiveness and achievement motivation. Achievement motivation substantially impacts teacher performance, with extrinsic motivation factors—especially income and incentives—exerting the greatest influence. Correlation study reveals moderate positive correlations between managerial competence and teacher performance (r = 0.482) and between achievement motivation and teacher performance (r = 0.391). Interpersonal communication exhibits a modest positive connection with teacher performance (r = 0.198). Managerial competence and achievement motivation strongly impact teacher effectiveness, although interpersonal communication exerts a relatively lesser influence. The study finds that augmenting management competency, fortifying effective communication, and cultivating intrinsic and extrinsic motivation are vital techniques for raising teacher effectiveness.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of an Islamic value-based school culture on the improvement of teacher performance in elementary schools within Aceh Tamiang Regency, Indonesia. Although Islamic ideals have been incorporated into school traditions for an extended period, their assimilation into teachers' professional practices remains variable. This qualitative case study examines two public elementary schools—SD Negeri Alur Sentang and SD Negeri Paya Rahat—through in-depth interviews, non-participant observations, and document analysis. Utilizing Schein’s organizational culture theory and Bernardin & Russell’s performance model, the study investigates the expression of cultural artifacts, embraced values, and foundational assumptions that influence teacher conduct and work ethics. The findings indicate that Islamic cultural practices, including daily prayers, tadarus, and moral reminders, are evident yet not fully integrated into teachers' professional activity. The cultural dynamics are shaped by three main things: (1) artifacts that represent religious identity, (2) values that are important to people, such as discipline, amanah, and responsibility, and (3) beliefs that work is religion. All of these things together affect how well teachers do their jobs in terms of discipline, relationships with others, and devotion. Nonetheless, deficiencies persist in leadership modeling, implementation consistency, and community support. The study finds that to make Islamic value-based school culture stronger, we need strategic leadership, meaningful habituation, and working together. Suggestions are given to schools and policymakers to help teachers become more professional and culturally aware in a more complete way
