Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how digital literacy affects the computational thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 140 Palembang. Digital literacy is becoming an increasingly important ability in the current era, particularly in facilitating logical thinking and problem-solving processes using technology gadgets. This study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the Non-equivalent Control Group Type. The research subjects were divided into two groups: the experimental class (V.A), which received technology-based learning treatment, and the control class (V.B), which received conventional learning. The data collection tool was a computational thinking questionnaire with 20 statements based on four major indicators: issue decomposition, algorithmic thinking, pattern identification, and abstraction and generalization. Pretests and posttests were used to collect data, which was then analyzed with a t-test to see if there was a significant difference between the two groups. The study's findings reveal that digital literacy has a considerable impact on student computational thinking skills. Students who received technology-based learning demonstrated greater improvement in computational thinking skills than students who learned using traditional methods. This research suggests that digital literacy is vital in helping elementary school students acquire computational thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) analyze the pedagogical competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers in the learning process at State Senior High Schools in Rantau Selamat District. 2) analyze the work culture of Islamic Religious Education teachers contributing to the formation of student character at State Senior High Schools in Rantau Selamat District. 3) analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of pedagogical competence and work culture of Islamic Religious Education teachers at State Senior High Schools in Rantau Selamat District. This type of research is field research. The results of the study indicate that 1) the pedagogical competence of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in the learning process at at State Senior High Schools in Rantau Selamat District, based on the results of the study that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at State Senior High Schools 1 and State Senior High Schools 2 Rantau Selamat have good and effective pedagogical competence in the learning process. 2) The work culture of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers contributes to the formation of student character at process at State Senior High Schools in Rantau Selamat District, based on the results of research that the work culture of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at State Senior High Schools 1 and State Senior High Schools 2 Rantau Selamat plays a significant role in the formation of student character. 3) The implementation of pedagogical competence and the work culture of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at State Senior High Schools 1 and State Senior High Schools 2 Rantau Selamat is influenced by supporting and inhibiting factors. Abstract

The objectives of the research are: 1). To analyze the ability of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in the use of learning media to improve student achievement at SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selamat. 2). To analyze the ability of PAI teachers in selecting appropriate learning media to improve student achievement at SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selamat. 3). To analyze the improvement of student achievement at SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selamat. The research method used is qualitative research of the field research type. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that: 1). PAI teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selamat have fairly good ability in utilizing learning media, both in the form of visual, audio, and simple technology media. The use of these media can increase students’ attention, understanding, and involvement in the learning process. 2). PAI teachers are able to adjust learning media to the characteristics of the material, students’ conditions, and learning objectives. Varied media such as PowerPoint, animated videos, puzzle cards, and practice-based learning have proven effective in increasing classroom interaction and students’ learning motivation. 3). Students’ achievement at SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selamat has improved in academic aspects, religious behavior, and learning motivation. The academic scores of the PAI subject show a significant increase; students’ religious behavior has improved, marked by increased discipline in worship and participation in religious activities; and students’ intrinsic and extrinsic motivation toward learning has also increased

Abstract

Research Objectives: 1). To analyze the strategies implemented by Islamic Religious Education teachers in addressing the development of puberty adolescents at SMP Negeri 1 Karang Baru. 2). To analyze the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education teachers' strategies in shaping the character and spirituality of students during puberty at SMP Negeri 1 Karang Baru. 3). To identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of strategies for fostering puberty adolescents implemented by Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Karang Baru. The research method used was qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study are: 1). The strategy of Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Karang Baru in addressing adolescent development during puberty is carried out by linking Islamic teachings to the reality of puberty, providing role models, and providing spiritual-emotional guidance. Teachers not only deliver material, but also guide students to understand the puberty phase as a moral and spiritual responsibility. 2). The strategy of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering character and spirituality of students during puberty at SMP Negeri 1 Karang Baru has proven effective. The strategy of Islamic Religious Education teachers is able to produce real changes in students at SMP Negeri 1 Karang Baru, both in the form of behavioral improvements and increased understanding of religious values. 3). Abstract

This study investigates the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in influencing religious moderation attitudes among junior high school pupils in Idi Rayeuk, the problems they face, and the tactics utilized to impart these values. A qualitative research methodology was employed, utilizing data gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. There were three steps in the data analysis: reducing the data, showing the data, and making conclusions. The findings indicate that IRE teachers serve a strategic function in promoting religious moderation through three primary roles: as educators who nurture tolerance and mutual respect, as role models who exemplify equitable, transparent, and balanced perspectives, and as guides who stress the importance of steering clear of extreme religious conduct. But teachers have a lot of problems to deal with, like the tremendous influence of social media that has intolerant material, conservative social surroundings, students' low digital literacy, and community figures who may support narrow-minded views. To deal with these problems, IRE teachers use systematic methods by making sure that moderation ideals are present in all learning materials and by using personal approaches with students who show intolerant behavior. These tactics help students not only grasp religious moderation on a cognitive level, but also generate positive feelings and behaviors in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the utilization of ICT-based learning media in Islamic Religious Education, evaluate its efficacy in enhancing student learning outcomes, and analyze student attitudes on its implementation at SMP Negeri 1 Idi Rayeuk. A qualitative field research design utilizing a case study methodology was implemented. Data were gathered by observations, interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed descriptively. The results show that IRE teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Idi Rayeuk have used a variety of ICT-based media, such as interactive PowerPoint presentations and Islamic learning films, to make the classroom more interesting, communicative, and participative. Using ICT-based learning tools has been shown to improve both the quality of the learning process and the results for students by making it easier to see abstract ideas through films and animations, which in turn helps students understand and participate more. Additionally, students have very positive views on ICT integration, saying that it makes learning more interesting, fun, and useful in their daily lives. ICT-based media also pique students' attention and curiosity and promote autonomous learning by providing access to digital resources including instructional apps, Islamic websites, and video-sharing platforms.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum at SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selamat is implemented in stages. Based on the results of observations conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selamat, during the learning process, teachers only focus more on student learning outcomes and less focus on character value formation. Problem formulation: 1). How is the implementation of the Independent Curriculum for students at SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selamat?, 2). How is the character formation of the Pancasila Student Profile in students at SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selamat?, 3). How is the success of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum towards the development of the Pancasila Student Profile character in students at SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selamat?, the research method is carried out with qualitative research with data collection techniques carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research findings are as follows: 1) The implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selamat was effective through project-based learning (P5) and differentiated learning strategies, which encouraged active student involvement in the learning process. 2) The character development of the Pancasila Student Profile in students is evident in the growth of independence, social awareness, creativity, discipline, and critical thinking skills, which are internalized in daily learning activities. 3) The successful implementation of the Independent Curriculum is reflected in positive changes in student attitudes and behavior, resulting in more self-confidence, responsibility, caring, and the ability to actualize Pancasila values in real lifeCharacter Development

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the role, methodologies, effects, and challenges faced by Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers in influencing student character subsequent to the adoption of the Independent Curriculum in junior high schools within Rantau Selamat District. Utilizing a qualitative field research approach, data were gathered from school administrators, IRE teachers, and vice principals for curriculum through observations, interviews, and recording. The results show that IRE instructors play a planned role in teaching religious principles, discipline, responsibility, and tolerance through structured activities such congregational prayers, Qur'anic recitation, religious mentoring, and encouraging respect for others. Character education techniques stress learning by doing, like doing community work, keeping the school clean, taking part in Islamic festivities, and using rewards and punishments to teach discipline. These efforts have had an effect on both individuals and institutions. For example, students have shown positive changes in their behavior, and schools have seen their religious culture grow stronger through regular tadarus, communal worship, Friday charity programs, and the creation of Islamic spiritual organizations (ROHIS). Character development initiatives encounter obstacles, particularly constrained instructional time and inadequate backing from students' familial and societal contexts.

Abstract

This study objective is to evaluate the utilization of digital tutorials in Islamic Religious Education instruction, assess their influence on students' learning motivation, and investigate their role in enhancing students' comprehension of IRE content at Junior High School Negeri 1 Peureulak. A qualitative descriptive methodology was utilized, with data gathered via observations, interviews, and documentation. The results show that adding digital tutorials is a change in teaching style that leads to more humanistic, contextual, and technology-based learning. Digital tutorials have been shown to improve students' motivation, understanding, and religious character through careful preparation, thoughtful implementation, and ongoing evaluation. Digital tutorials greatly boost students' enthusiasm, activity, creativity, and independence in learning. This is because digital media combine visual, audio, and interactive elements that make learning more interesting and meaningful, which encourages both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Strong school support, access to digital resources, competent teachers, cooperation between teachers and IT personnel, and high student interest are all aspects that help. But there are still certain problems, such as a lack of infrastructure, limited time for learning, teachers' variable levels of computer proficiency, and students not having equal access to digital gadgets.
