Abstract

This article discusses the conception of morality and value education in Islamic education. The method used in writing this article is library research where the source comes from books and journals. From the information that has been obtained, it can be concluded that morality is a moral trait or overall principles and values relating to good and bad. Morality is basically the same as morality which adheres to good or bad values and norms. Values education as an aid to students to realize and experience values and place them integrally in their whole lives. This value education is not only a special program that is taught through a number of subjects, but also includes the entire educational process. Islam views value or moral education as the core of education itself. The Islamic religion is based on the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. Therefore, we can understand that moral education in the teachings of Islamic education plays an important role in the effort to create a complete human being or perfect human being.

Abstract

Critical thinking is an ability that must be possessed by students, especially in learning mathematics. This is because critical thinking can help reduce errors made when solving problems. The inquiry approach emphasizes the process of students thinking critically and analytically to find an answer to a problem. This study aims to discuss students' critical thinking skills in learning mathematics through the inquiry approach. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research with literature study method. Data were collected through related journals to be reviewed. The results showed that the inquiry approach has learning steps related to critical thinking skills, where students are asked to formulate problems and hypotheses, select facts & information, identify assumptions, explain solutions, evaluate, and make conclusions.

Abstract

Critical thinking is understanding, analyzing, evaluating information, and making reasoned and rational decisions. This ability is one of the essential skills for students in solving problems and making decisions in everyday life. The purpose of this study is to identify publications related to critical thinking in economics learning and to describe the characteristics of this research. The bibliometric analysis method was used in this study. The research results show that the number of publications related to critical thinking in economics studies will increase yearly from 2019 to 2023. Meanwhile, the most significant number of documents come from Indonesia. OSF Preprints holds the top position as an institution or publisher with 14 papers. At the same time, the author with the most citations is Abbas with 17 citations, followed by Aslamiah with 17 citations, and Fitriyah with ten citations. New themes emerging in this field are "learning," "application," and "development." Therefore, these new themes can become new material for further research that addresses this field.

Abstract

The problem to be studied in this action research is that the use of the chain story method can improve speaking skills and the results of Indonesian language learning materials conveying information to grade 6 students at SDN 2 Sumberanyar, Jatibanteng District. The purpose of the research to be obtained is to find out the improvement in speaking skills and the results of learning Indonesian in the material for conveying information to grade 6 students at SDN 2 Sumberanyar, Jatibanteng sub-district, applying the chain story method. This study used two rounds of action research. Each round consists of four stages, namely design, activity, observation, reflection and revision. The targets of this research were grade 6 students at SDN 2 Sumberanyar, Jatibanteng District, for the 2022/2023 academic year. The data obtained is in the form of formative test results, observation sheets of teaching and learning activities. From the results of the analysis it was found that student learning outcomes increased from cycle I to cycle II, namely, cycle I (57.14%), cycle II (100%). The conclusion from this study is that learning the chain story method can have a positive effect on improving speaking skills and learning outcomes for grade 6 students at SDN 2 Sumberanyar, Jatibanteng District, in the 2022/2023 academic year, and this learning can be used as an alternative to learning Indonesian.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information about the Urgency of Learning Arabic in Islamic Education. This research is a library research (Library Research). The library method is a suitable method in this research. Because in this case library sources such as books and journals both nationally and internationally will be used to collect various data relating to instilling the values of monotheism in learning Arabic. The results of this study indicate that there is an urgency to learn Arabic in the realm of Islamic education when viewed from the perspective of human life, structurally related to cultural tools. The final goal of Islamic education is to become part of the actualization of the will of Islamic teachings with the mission of starting to prosper mankind as essentially servants of God Almighty, Allah SWT, both physically and spiritually, in this world and in the hereafter with the basis that we are holy Al-Qur'an also Hadith.

Abstract

Teaching English in Junior High School focuses on improving four language skills namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The students are expected to be able to master those four language skills. Improving productive skills is the most important in teaching English. One of the productive skills that have to be improved is writing. However, in practical level, a lot of students have difficulties in writing English texts. Therefore, this research aims to analyze students’ difficulties in writing recount text at the 8th students SMP 15 Kota Serang. The method used in this research was qualitative method which used some instruments like documents, questionnaires, and interview. Based on the result of the research, the most difficult aspects of writing recount encountered by the students were in term of grammar, and then followed by the use of verb, capitalization, the use of to be, punctuation, spelling, preposition, and vocabulary. Moreover, based on the result of students’ recount tasks, the biggest errors made by the students were error of misformation, and then followed by error of omission, error of misorder, and error of addition.

Abstract

This study aims to determine student perceptions of PG PAUD about MBKM. The method used is a descriptive quantitative method. Respondents were students of the PG PAUD study program as many as 28, consisting of 10 respondents from 2020/2021 class and 18 from the 2021/2022 class. The results showed that 96% knew and had heard of MBKM, but only 11% were aware of the program's policies, and only 4% did not know at all. 89% of students' interest in participating in MBKM is while the independent student exchange program and campus teaching are the activities most interested by students. Through MBKM, students can improve their hard and soft skills to realize quality education for all.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Discovery Learning models in improving the understanding of the science concepts of the students of SMP Satrya Budi Trade. In this study the method used is Quasi Experimental Design with the research design, Nonequivalent Control Group Design. In this study using two classes. The two classes are the control class and the experimental class. The control class will use the conventional learning model while the experimental class will use the discovery learning learning model. The sample in this study was Class VII of the Satrya Budi Middle School, each of which consisted of 20 students. The research instrument used in this study was a test of student learning outcomes in the form of pretest and posttest to measure the understanding of student concepts in the cognitive domain. Based on the results of the statistical test research, the t-test, namely (1) the difference in the student's learning outcomes difference obtained the value of tcount of 4.503, the calculation uses the t-t-test at the significance level (α) = 0.05, obtained THitung> ttable that is 4,503> 2,024, so that the zero hypothesis (H0) is rejected and (H1) is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is the influence of the Discovery Learning learning model to improve the understanding of the science concepts of the Satrya Budi Perdagangan Middle School students, (2) In accordance with the research that has been conducted and the results that have been obtained by the researcher, the research conducted using the Discovery Learning model to improve the understanding of the concept of science in the Satrya Budi Trade Middle School can be declared well with the final results of the study received an average value of 80%.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on obtaining a description of the teacher's strategy in overcoming the moral decadence of students through character education and obstacles in its implementation with the locus of MTs Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo. The research method uses descriptive qualitative to get a detailed and credible picture of the teacher's strategy in overcoming the phenomenon of student moral decadence. The main subjects of the research include the principal, the student affairs department, class teachers, and several students as part of the research sample. Data were collected using participant observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The Miles-Huberman interactive model was used as the data analysis procedure, which includes data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The research analysis results show that efforts to overcome moral decadence carried out through character education by teachers with habituation, learning integration, and school culture application. Efforts to implement character education are not limited to being carried out by principals and teachers, but also all school components ranging from educational parts, environment, family, and pesantren. This series of steps is an effort and strategy to overcome moral decadence in MTs Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in student learning outcomes and an increase in student learning activities in the subject of Cultural Arts through the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using Jigsaw Cooperative learning. The results obtained from this study were that the first cycle obtained the percentage of learning completeness of 62.5% and the grade score of 58.8% with the lowest score of 50 and the best score of 80. In the second cycle, the percentage of student learning completeness was obtained by 100% and the score for mastery class 90.3% with the lowest score 70 and 90. So that value already meets the indicators of success. Then the students' Cultural Arts learning activities through Jigsaw Cooperative Learning in class XII SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan in cycle I was 62.9%, while in cycle II it was 76.8%. While teacher activity in the first cycle was 76%, while in the second cycle it was 86%. So that there is a significant increase with Jigsaw Cooperative Learning in the subject of Cultural Arts on student learning outcomes in class XII SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan.
