FOCUS AND SCOPE Enggang adalah jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Enggang dipilih sebagai nama jurnal ini karena kehidupan masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah tidak jauh dari alam, termasuk kedekatannya pada burung yang bernama enggang. Burung enggang merupakan simbol kebesaran dan kemuliaan suku Dayak di Kalimantan Tengah. Burung enggang juga melambangkan perdamaian dan persatuan, sayapnya yang tebal melambangkan pemimpin yang selalu melindungi rakyatnya. Ekor panjangnya dianggap sebagai tanda kemakmuran rakyat suku Dayak. Kaitannya dengan jurnal ini, tidak lain adalah mengambil makna filosofis kebesaran burung enggang agar jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya ini, nantinya menjadi besar yang akan dikenal secara lokal, nasional, dan internasional. Jurnal Enggang sebagai jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya merupakan salah satu wadah untuk mengumpulkan dan melestarikan kekayaan kita yang tidak ternilai harganya. Tentunya kekayaan yang berhubungan dengan pendidikan bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Jurnal ini hadir untuk siapa saja yang mencintai dan ingin berkarya di bidang pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Selain itu, kami sebagai pengurus jurnal ini bersedia memberikan bimbingan dan pelatihan untuk siapa saja yang ingin maju dan berkompeten dalam hal menulis karya fiksi maupun nonfiksi. Melalui bimbingan dan pelatihan pasti gairah menulis para calon pendidik, para pendidik, dan para pecinta pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya bangkit dengan semangat membara. This research describes Indonesian animation series of Keluarga Somat and its connection for the term of nuclear family which represented in three episodes Keluarga Somat: Special Pak Somat. This research picked three episodes of “Lomba Egrang Sekampung”, “Kue Legeslatif”, and “Diet Pak Somat”. This research explains the representation of the protagonists in this animation series and its connection with nulclear family concept. The data are collected then described with descriptive qualitative method with theory of media representation. This research aims to understand nuclear family concept which represented by Dreamtoon Animation Studios in animation series of Keluarga Somat. The conclusion for this research explains the representation of nuclear family where every family member helps each other then makes harmonious family concept.

Writing is not only a language skill, but writing can also be a means of activity to develop students' ability to use language. This is the cause of the importance of teaching skills in schools. The writing skill taught in class IX at SMP Laboratory UM is writing exemplum texts. Even though writing skills have been taught in class, there are still errors in the use of language in writing exemplary texts of students' work. This is due to the large number of students who think writing is difficult, so students pay less attention to accuracy and do not practice writing skills. One of the mistakes that often occur in punctuation marks is the use of capital letters, the use of abbreviations, the writing of prepositions (in, to, and, from), and waste in constructing sentences. The purpose of this article is to analyze errors in the use of written language by identifying, classifying, and systematically interpreting students' written language errors in text samples. The method used is a qualitative approach that describes and explains errors in the use of language in text writing samples through students' work.

The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of the State Civil Apparatus, who were at SMAN 4, SMAN 12, SMKN 11 Medan. What is the role of the teacher in carrying out his duties as a State Civil Apparatus and to know the rights and obligations of the State Civil Apparatus in schools. The research technique used is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique with interview techniques. The results of the research are based on the analysis that has been carried out by the author about the performance of the state civil apparatus (ASN) at SMAN 4 MEDAN, SMA 12 MEDAN and SMKN 11 MEDAN, it can be concluded that, the quality of work produced by school principals, teachers, administrative staff, security guards, and cleaning service is quite optimal, but still needs improvement in carrying out tasks so that it is more optimal so that the quality of work increases. Employee time in completing work completion targets is something that must be done in order to create an effective organization in achieving goals. The performance of school principals, teachers, administrative staff, security guards, and cleaning services is considered quite good in schools, marked by the ability of employees to complete work and also a high sense of responsibility as state civil servants (ASN).

The novel, Bumi Manusia, tells the story of the socio-cultural life of the Javanese people during the Dutch colonial era. This study aims to describe the aesthetic cultural values contained in the novelBumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer and the implications of these values for Indonesian language learning in high school. They cover (1) human life;(2) the value of the nature of human relations with others; (3) the value of the nature of human work (4) the value of the nature of man and the universe (5) the value of the nature of man in relation to time and space. This research applies the analysis-descriptive method. The data taken to support this research are quotes found in the novel Bumi Manusia, which refers to the Javanese cultural values.. The data analysis technique used is distributional analysis technique, namely the selection of data based on certain categories from a programmatic perspective in accordance with the natural characteristics of the research data. The results showed that the Javanese cultural values contained in the novel Bumi Manusia are values of sincerity, simplicity, mutual respect, harmony with the universe, and patience. The implication of this value for learning Indonesian in high school is that students are able to understand, translate, and implement the messages or values contained in the novel Bumi Manusia for the life of their surroundings.

The purpose of this descriptive study was to analyze the difficulties high school students face in listening to the factors that cause these difficulties. Various data collection methods such as questionnaires, interviews, and tests were used in this study and the collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, content analysis, and thematic analysis. Research has shown that listening is a difficult skill for students learning a foreign language, and students face a variety of difficulties in listening comprehension, including Lack of vocabulary, lack of concentration, lack of continuity, familiarity with accents, practice, and confidence. The difficulties students face in listening are caused by a variety of factors, including Lack of exposure to language, lack of practice, and lack of confidence. Teachers can address these issues by providing students with vocabulary lists and exercises, familiarizing them with different accents, and encouraging regular listening practice. Group discussion with peers is also a powerful way to improve your students' speaking and listening skills. Overall, this study provides insight into the specific difficulties faced by students and the factors that contribute to those difficulties. This helps teachers create effective strategies and resources for students to improve their listening skills.

Civic development in primary schools is a process that improves the quality of learning and creates an inspiring environment for students to instill civic values. The purpose of this study is to examine the development of civics in primary schools. The research method is literature review. The results of this study indicate that the development of Civics learning in primary schools is a process to improve the quality of learning and create a conducive environment for students to promote civic values. With good Civics Education, students are expected to understand their rights and obligations as citizens, respect differences, behave democratically, and participate in building a better society.

Storytelling is a powerful strategy in helping children build their comprehension, language skills, and imagination. Stories bring to life the world of children's imagination and help them understand abstract concepts. Through stories, children can learn about the values, characters, and various experiences that shape their understanding of the world. Storytelling, be expected that it can develop tolerance in Buddhist children aged 4-6 years. Through the stories contained in the Khudaka Nikaya-Jataka, the tenth book containing the story of the past life of the Great Master Buddha. From the story retold by the school teacher or Sunday school teacher, it is hoped that Buddhist children aged 4-6 years can develop with good morals and behavior.The results of research by applying the storytelling method make children able to understand the parables of popular Buddhist stories such as the story of a chatty turtle. The meaning of the story is that we must learn to say words that only bring benefits.

One of the main Stunting or dwarf is a condition when toddlers experience the failure of growth it caused by poor nutritional status of the children under five years. The Method of this study is to determine the effectiveness of audiovisual media on health education of parent's. The design of this study use a quasi-experimental (one group pre-test and post-test design). The population in this study found 112 parents. The samples taken 17 respondents by using purposive sampling. The research instrument is a questionnaire. Then the data collected and processed for analysis using the Mc Nemar test. The results of this study indicate, most of the poor knowledge of parents decreased after being given audiovisual media on health education. The results of data analysis using Mc Nemar test with p value = 0.000 (< 0.05), thus the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The conclusion of this study is audiovisual media on health education on parental knowledge of preventing stunting in toddlers at Minaesa Minahasa. Suggestions to respondents, to seek more information about stunting prevention.

Indonesia is the second ranked country with the most extreme disaster risk. Efforts to reduce disaster risk and the impact caused by disasters are to organize education, training and counseling to ensure that everyone is trained and aware of the importance of preparedness in dealing with disasters. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education on disaster mitigation on community preparedness in Mahawu Village, Manado City. The research method used in this study was quasi- experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. totaling 15 respondents using a random sampling technique of data collection using questionnaires, analyzed by Mc Nemar statistical test. The results of the study before being given education showed that preparedness was not good 9 (60.0%), after being given education showed good preparedness 13 (86.7%). Statistical test results obtained p value = 0.016 where p value = 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between education and community preparedness Mahawu. The conclusion in this study is that there is a significant influence between disaster mitigation education on community preparedness in Mahawu Village, Manado City. Suggestions This research is expected to increase the level of community preparedness and implement disaster mitigation such as diligently cleaning waterways and disposing of garbage in its place

Based on (UNAIDS) Global Statistics in 2018 recorded that 36.9 million people in the world are living with HIV Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that could weaken immunity in humans. The HIV/AIDS issue around the world continues to increase.. Nurses have a significant role in efforts to maintain the health quality of HIV/AIDS patients. Awareness and a positive attitude are crucial to maximize care and increase comfort in care providers. The purposes of this study was to determine the correlation between the nurses' awareness and attitudes toward HIV-AIDS with the nurse's actions toward HIV-AIDS patients in Robert Wolter Mongisidi Tk. II Hospital Manado City. This study conducted using a descriptive-analytical research method that is cross-sectional which aims to obtain information. The sample is taken from respondents as many as 31 respondents using total sampling. Data collection is done by giving a questionnaire. Furthermore, the data that has been collected is processed using the SPSS version 16.0 computer program to be analyzed using the Fisher's Exact Test statistical test with a significance level (α) 0.05. The results show that as many as 26 (83.9) nurses had a good awareness, 22 (71.0) nurses had good attitudes, and 23 (74.2) nurses had good actions. The Chi-square statistic test aqcuire P value of awareness was 0.002 (α≤0.05), and the P value for Attitude was 0.003 (α≤0.05). This study concluded that there is a significant correlation between the nurse’s awareness of Hiv-Aids and the actions of nurses in patients with Hiv-Aids. Also, there is a correlation between the nurse’s attitudes of Hiv-Aids and the actions of nurses in patients with HIV-AIDS.
