Abstract

The study analyzes the performance trends in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) among Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) graduates from Sultan Kudarat State University – Kalamansig Campus from 2018 to 2023. A descriptive-comparative research design was employed to statistically measure the objectives of the study. Data were obtained from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). The study’s respondents are 73 first-timers and 112 repeaters. A total of 185 BEEd examinees were the respondents of the study. Also, the study utilized frequency and percentage counts, z-scores, and p-values to compare the performance and test for significant differences. The results revealed that the performance trends among the BEEd graduates was fluctuating. Performance of first-timers are higher than repeaters in most periods, with institutional passing rates below national passing rates. Notably, exceptional performances were recorded during the March 2019, June 2022, and October 2022 examination periods, where institutional passing rates surpassed national passing rates. The study identifies several factors influencing LET performance, including academic preparation, review sessions, and external disruptions such as the COVID-19 pandemic, which impacted the consistency and preparation of examinees. The data suggest that while first-timers showed relatively strong performance, repeaters faced significant challenges, underscoring the need for targeted support systems to enhance their preparedness and outcomes. The findings highlight the critical importance of continuous monitoring and strategic interventions to improve LET performance. Implementing effective support mechanisms for repeaters, improving academic and review processes, and addressing external factors are essential steps toward enhancing the quality of teacher education.

Abstract

The article is a presentation of the meaning and characteristics of mandalas that derive from Sanskrit symbolism. The Kabbalistic overtones of their compositions intrigued early psychoanalysts. They have been assimilated to treat and calm patients suffering from neurosis, psychosis, depression. They were seen as expressive, diagnostic and therapeutic. The article presents different views on the values and effects of the use of mandalas in education, relaxation and therapy. Due to the lack of scientific premises for use, relaxation use is encouraged during rehabilitation, after-school and speech therapy classes. A substantive approach to the subject encourages the search for applications in education in various fields, but this requires undertaking scientific research and verification of applications. The article is an exhaustive analysis of the literature on the use of mandalas.

Abstract

This study evaluates the compliance of the Pampanga Provincial Police Office with the use of body-worn cameras and alternative recording devices during police operations in the province Pampanga and examines the severity of problems encountered in their use. Specifically, it assesses compliance in terms of procedural fairness, police performance, data protocols, privacy concerns, and camera benefit while investigating the relationship between compliance levels and encountered problems. It hypothesizes that higher compliance levels are associated with fewer operational problems and that certain areas, such as data protocols and privacy, may present greater challenges. A descriptive correlational design was used, employing structured questionnaires to gather data from 200 respondents, including police officers and community members. Key findings indicate a very high compliance level in using Body-Worn Cameras and Alternative Recording Devices (Mean = 3.49), but also highlight significant challenges, with an overall severity rating of problems as high (Mean = 2.81). Correlational analysis suggests a moderate positive relationship between perceived compliance and the severity of problems faced. The study recommends tailored training, procedural adjustments, and improved data management and privacy measures to address these challenges. Limitations of the study include potential biases in respondent perceptions and constraints in generalizing findings to other regions. Policymakers are urged to enhance transparency, accountability, and public trust in police practices to foster a safer community environment in Pampanga Province.

The present study specifically pursued answers to the subsequent questions: (1) What is the status of gender stereotypes in families of students at Bulacan State University-Bustos Campus?; (2) What is the percentage of parents’ gender characters toward their children? And (3) What is the impact of parents’ beliefs and behavior in their children’s professional aspirations? This study used a descriptive study that used a questionnaire to collect relevant data. The results show that (1) Even though there are parents who decide about the career path of their children, there are parents who let their children decide about their professional aspirations; (2) The key influence on the development of gender stereotyping in early life is parents' conduct towards their offspring, which is the primary influence on the development of gender role stereotyping in early life. The socialization process of children is influenced by parents providing a helpful setting within the family for them to engage in face-to-face interactions with their children; and (3) It is essential for a child to make this decision themselves. Choosing a profession helps kids become more independent. Children who are given the opportunity to make a decision that will affect their future will become more confident and reliant on themselves.

Abstract

The study assessed the bangus culture as the key livelihood initiative of the FishCORAL project of BFAR-V covering the coastal barangays in Libmanan, Camarines Sur. The assessment focused on identifying the enterprise's inputs, outputs, and outcomes and its economic and social impacts on the project beneficiaries. Interviews, focus group discussions, desk reviews, and field surveys were employed to evaluate the project achievements, including using an adopted model for monitoring and evaluation. Descriptive analysis and mixed methods were applied to data analysis. Five associations take turns running the livelihood enterprise through the circular sea cage located at Barangay Bahao. The beneficiaries encountered challenges, such as the high cost of fuel used in going to and from the project site, especially those coming from far barangays; commercial markets were not yet considered for the product due to insufficient volume of harvest; and the association's need guidance in leadership and business management. Typhoons affected the project during its initial operation. Still, since the household size of the beneficiary families is primarily tiny, it is easier for them to sustain the family's basic needs with incomes from fishing and other alternative sources. The fishing households share the livelihood assets available in the community. The project achievements met the criteria for relevance, coherence, availability, and perceived utility viz-a-viz the business objectives. Recommended measures, organizational capability, support systems, and internal disagreements must be addressed to sustain the Bangus culture livelihood project.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in cultural values passed down from generation to generation, such as folklore. This challenge is be-cause folklore in Indonesia is told orally and mostly only docu-mented in the form of story books. So that folklore can be re-interested by children and to achieve the objectives of the learning process, visualizations are made using Virtual Reality technology. The folklore that will be raised is a folk tale from the province of Southeast Sulawesi entitled About the Knights and the Garuda Bird in the Legend of the Formation of Mount Mekongga. The purpose of this research is to be able to maintain folklore as a national cul-ture in the midst of the development of fictional stories by utilizing Virtual Reality technology. By using 2D moving image visualization and using Virtual Reality technology with the Sprint Model, it is hoped that students will be more interested in knowing folklore. There is an effect of learning models using Virtual on students on folklore material in class VII at SMPN 2 Kendari based on the gain test results that get a value of 0.6093, meaning that the learning outcomes before getting treatment with already getting treatment have increased by 0.6093. Abstract

This study will assess the impact of the outreach programs that are implemented by the Community Affairs Development Division (CADD) of the Taguig City Police Station as relates to peace and order, intelligence collection, image of the police, effectiveness at resolution of crimes among many others. Several reasons are cited for conducting studies like the above ones and these include evaluation of the effectiveness of programs and the establishment of areas that require improvements. Information was collected from barangay officials, CADD personnel, and their auxiliary members using a quantitative research design comprised of surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions. It was discovered that outreach benefited the police reputation, intelligence gathered, the ability to solve crimes, in general, the maintenance of public order, through stronger police-community partnerships and raised sentiments of safety. Nevertheless, the shortcoming of the program was also commended just as much as very poor communication between the police and the community members and very few of they in intelligence gathering. In accordance with the query of the effectiveness of the programs, there was no statically significant difference between the categories of the respondents, both showing that programs are helpful. But resources, which have been identified to be challenged in the CADD outreach programs, relate to resource management, diversity of skills, communication with partner agencies, and availability of the venue, allocation of the budget, financial support on constant basis, and inter-agency cooperation to name the few. In this context, the report on 'Partnerships between Law Enforcement and Local CADD Agencies' observes, The CADD outreach programs have greatly reduced the problem in relation to the concerns of both public safety and the relation of the law enforcement agency with the community. There will be improved diversification of skills and competence levels, effective utilization of the resources, good communication means, and proper housing. All this with increased budget allocations, regular financial help and strengthening links with other agents.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of pricing strategies on customer sat-isfaction, aiming to improve customer experiences and foster long term loyalty within the coffee shops business in Camarines Norte, Philippines for the year 2022. Utilizing a descriptive correlational research design, data was collected through face-to-face interviews with 150 respondents selected via purposive sampling. The findings reveal that the majority of respondents were females aged 15-30, vis-ited coffee shops weekly. Sixty-two (62) percent of the respondents describe that coffee shops establishments used competitive-based pricing. Among various pricing strategies, value-based pricing was perceived as the most effective, with an average rating of 4.60. Re-spondents strongly agreed that service quality aligned with pricing strategies significantly influences customer satisfaction, scoring an average of 4.26. A test of significant relationship using Biserial corre-lation coefficient between competitive pricing, value-based pricing, and product bundle pricing regarding the impact on customer satis-faction cues indicate a statistically significant relationship at p<0.05, denoting a positive relationship between the pricing strategies and customer satisfaction. The study concludes that pricing strategies is a crucial element of the marketing mix that directly affects customer satisfaction and business profitability. Although, no universal pricing strategy may exist, understanding customer satisfaction is essential for identifying effective pricing policies. Therefore, it is recommended that coffee shops need to develop comprehensive business models to enhance pricing strategies aimed at increasing market share and sus-taining growth in the coffee shop sector.
