<![CDATA[Digital transformation in education demands a learning model that is not only technically effective but also pays attention to students' emotional involvement. Digital literacy is an important competency that must be possessed by students since junior high school age, but its implementation still faces challenges in terms of student motivation and participation. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the hybrid learning model with an emotional design approach in improving digital literacy of junior high school students. The method used is a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study population was grade VIII junior high school students at a school in North Sumatra. The research instruments consisted of digital literacy tests, observations of emotional involvement, and documentation of learning activities. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed a significant increase in digital literacy in the experimental group compared to the control group. The average posttest increased by 22.17 points . Observations showed that students were more active and emotionally involved in learning. The hybrid learning model with an emotional design approach has been proven to be effective in improving digital literacy and student involvement in digital learning. This approach can be an innovative alternative in 21st century learning.]]>

<![CDATA[The leadership of school principals plays a crucial role in fostering effective school partnerships. This article aims to discuss the importance of school principals' leadership in building collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, including parents, the community, and government institutions, to support the improvement of education quality. In addition, the article also explores the strategies implemented by school principals to strengthen partnerships, such as the development of joint programs, stakeholder involvement in decision-making, and transparent resource management. The research method used in this article is a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings indicate that the principal plays a key role in building relationships among the school, teachers, and the community to enhance the quality of education at TK Negeri Pembina Banjarmasin Utara 2. With strong partnerships, schools are not only able to improve the quality of education but also strengthen their connections with the social environment. <![CDATA[A proper understanding of sex education, which is in accordance with the stage of sexual development of adolescents, is very important to prevent problems related to their sexual development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of cinematherapy techniques in group guidance services on the understanding of sex education of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Banjarmasin. This research method applies a quantitative approach with an experimental type of one group pre-test post-test design. The sample was selected 5 students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Banjarmasin using purposive sampling technique. Data collection instruments include observation, interviews and documentation, data analysis is done with descriptive statistics and Paired Sample T Test. The results of the analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 (significant value 0.05), indicating that Ha, namely group guidance services with cinematherapy techniques are effective for improving the understanding of sex education of 8th grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Banjarmasin. Cinematherapy technique is one of the technology-based counseling techniques that offers convenience for students to access information about sex education, so it is no longer taboo to know about it.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the English language learning needs of students in the Public Administration and Business Administration programs at STIA Tabalong to design an effective curriculum. The study focuses on determining the 3-credit semester load, teaching materials, learning activities, and evaluation methods that will support academic success and job readiness, addressing the needs of both students and stakeholders. A qualitative descriptive approach was used to achieve this goal. The data required for the needs analysis includes information regarding the gaps, desires, and necessities related to English language learning. Data was collected from four sources: students from the Public Administration and Business Administration programs, department heads, lecturers, and the syllabi and RPS for the English for Professional Purposes course. The total number of students across semesters 1-5 was 215, and the study included 40 respondents selected through purposive sampling, consisting of students who are currently learning English and those who have already studied English at STIA Tabalong. Data collection techniques involved surveys with questionnaires, structured interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and qualitative methods. The findings show that the English language needs of Public Administration and Business Administration students include both English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English for Occupational Purposes (EOP). While the existing English for Professional Purposes course fulfills the EAP needs, the EOP needs will be addressed by adding a 3-credit English course tailored to the workplace. ]]>

<![CDATA[This research aimed to describe the functions of directive speech acts used by the teacher at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sleman. The study utilized a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on the directive speech acts of the English teacher. The researcher served as the primary instrument, involved in all stages of the research, including data collection via video recordings. Dialogues were transcribed and classified based on Bach and Harnish's theory of directive speech acts. Data analysis followed the interactive qualitative method by Miles and Huberman (1994). The result of this research finds that "asking" was the most frequent act, with 127 instances (47%), followed by "ordering" (49 utterances, 18.1%) and "demanding" (16 utterances, 7%). The research emphasizes how these speech acts, often expressed through imperative forms, play a critical role in promoting an effective learning environment and enhancing student engagement.]]>

<![CDATA[In educational research, observers and camera operators typically have distinct roles. However, these roles may not always function optimally in data collection due to certain limitations. As a result, the concept of merging the observer's role with the camera operators was introduced to address these challenges. This study explores the role of the idea in expanding the role of observers as cameramen (camera operators), which is presented in several cases conducted in North Kalimantan and East Java. The case studies in this research are based on three classroom settings with different observer characteristics regarding positioning, number, and role. This idea is also expanded through the discussion section in the paper, which presents an expansion of how to train observer-cameramen and maximize observers based on classroom size.]]>

<![CDATA[Traditional classroom-based instruction has long dominated institutional learning paradigms; however, educational practices are increasingly shifting beyond structured settings to embrace more flexible and learner-centered approaches. This study aims to explore transformative learning strategies—specifically self-regulated learning (SRL), storytelling pedagogy, and gamified digital tools such as Duolingo—to enhance cognitive and linguistic development. Using a systematic literature review methodology, the study synthesizes theoretical perspectives and empirical findings from the past decade. The findings reveal that SRL fosters learner autonomy and metacognitive awareness, enabling students to take ownership of their learning processes. Storytelling pedagogy supports vocabulary retention and fluency by embedding language learning in meaningful, emotionally engaging contexts. Gamified digital platforms further enhance learner motivation and engagement through adaptive and interactive learning environments. These approaches collectively contribute to sustained proficiency and long-term retention. The study concludes that integrating these innovative, evidence-based strategies—supported by technology and experiential learning—represents a necessary evolution in modern pedagogy, requiring educators to rethink instructional design beyond the limits of the traditional classroom.]]>

<![CDATA[Scattergories game is a version of the category game that promotes broad word acquisition. This research aims to prove whether the use of the Scattergories game can develop vocabulary mastery of the seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Parigi. This research used a quasi-experimental design involving two groups: experimental and control groups. The population consisted of five seventh-grade classes. The test was administered twice as a pre-test and post-test to assess students’ vocabulary mastery before and after the treatment. Because the data were not normally distributed, the data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test through SPSS version 24. This finding showed a difference in mean scores post-test of the control and experimental groups, where the mean scores of the control group were 78 and the experimental group were 85. The Mann-Whitney test showed that there was a significant increase in the experimental classes (Z = -1.975, p = 0.048). This result suggests that the Scattergories game effectively enhances vocabulary mastery of the seventh-grade students, making the learning process more engaging and impactful.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to improve students’ speaking skills (maharah kalam) in Arabic language learning through the implementation of a peer teaching model supported by YouTube media. The background of the study stems from students' lack of confidence in speaking Arabic and the predominance of conventional teaching methods in schools. A mixed-method approach was employed, combining qualitative and quantitative methods with data collected through observation, interviews, tests, documentation, and questionnaires. The research subjects were seventh-grade students at SMP Al-Hamidiyah Palembang. The findings reveal that the application of the peer teaching model supported by YouTube media significantly enhanced students' speaking abilities. This was evidenced by the improvement in pre-test and post-test scores, and further supported by statistical analyses (normality test, homogeneity test, and paired sample t-test) confirming the method's effectiveness. Collaboration in small groups, along with engaging visual media, fostered an interactive and enjoyable learning environment that boosted students’ confidence and active use of the Arabic language. Therefore, this model is recommended as an effective strategy for developing speaking skills in Arabic language education.]]>

<![CDATA[This research analyzes the choreography of Persib supporters on the REPUBLIKBOBOTOHTV YouTube channel. Supporter choreography is important and influential in matches based on the meaning to be conveyed. The analysis of visual and textual elements, using Peirce's semiotic perspective, aims to find out the meaning conveyed by the choreography presented. In this research, the method used is descriptive qualitative method. The results show the various meanings and purposes of the choreography. Pennywise's choreography shows how a form of psychological threat aims to influence the opponent. The Viking choreography shows a pride that has a meaning of how a long journey of history is achieved. In the Wizard choreography shows how the persib team must be able to control the game as a form of direct support in order to increase the motivation and mentality of the team.]]>
