Abstract

This study explores an integrative model of competence, commitment, and performance in achieving organizational effectiveness. Modern organizations face increasingly complex challenges that require strategic human resource approaches. Competence encompasses the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that enable individuals to perform tasks effectively. Organizational commitment reflects employees’ emotional and psychological attachment to the organization’s values and goals. Performance is the tangible outcome of accumulated competence and commitment, manifested in productivity, work quality, and contributions to strategic objectives. The research was conducted at Barantin using a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) via SmartPLS. The sample consisted of 160 purposively selected respondents. The results indicate that employee performance has the most dominant influence on organizational effectiveness (original sample value 0.559; T-statistic 6.677), followed by organizational commitment (0.264; T-statistic 3.530), and work competence (0.161; T-statistic 2.887). All three variables show statistically significant effects on organizational effectiveness. This integrative model confirms that enhancing organizational effectiveness cannot rely on improving a single factor alone. Instead, it requires the synergy of competence, commitment, and performance. These findings support previous literature and offer a practical framework for HR policymakers to design sustainable and adaptive managerial interventions in response to evolving workplace dynamics.

Abstract

Indonesian MSMEs play a significant role in the economy, but the contribution of MSMEs to national non-oil and gas exports is still very low. Currently, the opportunity for MSMEs to connect to global markets is increasingly open along with the increasingly massive use of digital technology and the increasing number of free trade agreements. On the other hand, this opportunity leaves homework for each stakeholder in preparing the right strategy for developing MSME competitiveness. This research aims to explore the MSME export readiness framework that is relevant in the digital era. This study uses a qualitative method. Primary data collection was carried out through interviews with several export mentors and export practitioners and observation on export training program. Secondary data was obtained from recorded webinars related to exports and related literature. The results of this study enrich the concept of export readiness proposed by Tan et al. (2007). The development of MSME export readiness in Indonesia can begin with a presentation on stimulation that influences the internal and external readiness of MSMEs which includes awareness of export potential, being able to prepare appropriate products, understanding export fundamentals, understanding the suitable foreign markets, understanding competition, understanding export risks, and able to take advantage of government support. Exposure to this stimulation is expected to be able to form attitude commitment and encourage the readiness of MSME resources. Currently, optimizing the digitization of MSMEs plays an important role in assisting a more efficient allocation of resources in the pre-internationalization stage

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze differences in employee performance and employee engagement between male and female employees at PT Trakindo Utama Samarinda. Using an independent sample t-test analysis, the results of the t-test were 0.043 (sig: 0.966) and -0.197 (sig: 0.44), respectively. This indicates that there is no difference in employee performance and employee engagement between male and female employees at PT Trakindo Utama Samarinda. It can be concluded that both male and female employees have similar levels of employee performance and employee engagement. The analysis suggests that there is no need to differentiate policies and treatment related to human resource development, either in methods or treatment, between male and female employees, and that they are given equal opportunities.

Abstract

Gastronomic tourism has rapidly developed as a subsector of tourism that not only offers culinary experiences but also represents local cultural iden- tity. However, gastronomic entrepreneurs face complex challenges ranging from intense competition to external pressures, which affect their well-being. This study aimed to develop a well-being model based on the eudaimonic di- mension for gastronomic tourism entrepreneurs through a case study of Hardadi, the owner of Singkong Keju D-9 in Salatiga. The research employed a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, using in-depth inter- views, participatory observation, and documentation, analyzed through the- matic analysis with the support of NVivo software. The findings revealed nine core components of eudaimonic well-being: generosity, sincerity, self- introspection, spirituality, inner peace, usefulness to others, gratitude, humil- ity, and optimism. These components demonstrate that entrepreneurs’ well- being is not solely determined by economic factors but also by life meaning, social relationships, and spiritual values. The conceptual model developed in this study shows that eudaimonic well-being functions in two ways: as an out- come of entrepreneurial activity and as psychological capital to face business challenges. The findings provide practical implications for entrepreneurs in in- tegrating meaningful well-being into business practices, academics in enriching studies on the relationship between well-being and entrepreneurship, and poli- cymakers in designing programs that support the sustainability of gastronomic tourism in Indonesia.

Abstract

A This study aims to develop and validate a measurement instrument based on Goodman’s (2022) theory. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing 22 developed items of toxic positivity to verify the three aspects according to Whitney Goodman’s theory. The research sample consisted of 205 participants. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling, categorized under non-probability sampling. Data analysis involved several tests, including content validity using Aiken’s V, prerequisite testing via KMO and Bartlett’s tests, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), and reliability testing using Cronbach’s Alpha. The Aiken’s V analysis, involving 6 raters and a 5-point scale, yielded a value of 0.77. The results of the data feasibility test using Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) showed a value of 0.780, which falls within the "fairly good" category. The EFA revealed a consistent three-factor structure: Invalidation of Emotion, Shame Disguised, and Denial. Furthermore, the Cronbach’s Alpha reliability test yielded a coefficient of 0.791, indicating that the instrument possesses good internal consistency and is suitable for use. Consequently, 11 items were identified as valid for measuring toxic positivity. This scale is an appropriate instrument for measuring toxic positivity behavioral tendencies. The implication of this study is the availability of a validated psychological measurement tool to identify patterns of toxic positivity.

Abstract

The 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election demonstrated the imbalance in political communication power between the three candidate pairs: Prabowo–Gibran (PRAGIB), Anies–Muhaimin (AMIN), and Ganjar–Mahfud (GAMA). This imbalance is evident in each pair's ability to leverage voter behavior through three models: the bandwagon effect, expected utility, and simple candidate preference as proposed by Abramowitz (1989). This study aims to compare the political communication power of the three candidate pairs in implementing these three models of voter behavior in the 2024 Presidential Election. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a focus on the political communication strategies of the three candidate pairs. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with two key informants involved in national political surveys and campaign political communications. Analysis was conducted using comparative analysis techniques to identify patterns of intensity and effectiveness of each pair's communication strategies. The results show that PRAGIB is the most dominant pair in the three models of voter behavior. They succeeded in maximizing the bandwagon effect through mass mobilization, media support, and digital campaigns. In the expected utility model, PRAGIB stands out through concrete program promises that are easily understood by the public. In simple candidate preference, Prabowo's personal image and Gibran's association with President Jokowi generated a simple but highly effective preference. AMIN held a middle ground, with strength in the urban-educated segment but limited grassroots reach. GAMA held the weakest position in all three models due to its inconsistent narrative, image, and mobilization strategy. This research confirms that the dominance of political communication was a key factor in PRAGIB's electoral success in the 2024 presidential election.
