Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) management faces complex challenges in the era of globalization and digital transformation, particularly in maintaining a balance between learning innovation and the internalization of Islamic values. The primary issue lies in the suboptimal integration of Islamic values within managerial functions in a systematic and holistic manner. This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic values in PAI management and its impact on improving educational quality and shaping students’ character. The research employs a qualitative method using a literature review approach, drawing on nationally and internationally indexed scientific journals published between 2016 and 2026. Data analysis was conducted thematically using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the internalization of Qur’anic values such as hikmah (wisdom), ‘adl (justice), amanah (trustworthiness), and ihsan (excellence) within managerial functions can foster an organizational culture that is fair, participatory, and spiritually oriented. Furthermore, PAI management plays a significant role in strengthening religious moderation, supporting value-based technological adaptation, and promoting Islamic leadership grounded in nawaitu (sincere intention). This study concludes that value-based Islamic PAI management is an effective strategy for enhancing educational quality while fostering students’ noble character.

Abstract

The concepts of reward and punishment are understood as educational strategies aimed at shaping students’ behavior and character. In the tradition of Islamic education, these principles are recognized through the concepts of targhīb (reward) and tarhīb (punishment), which are rooted in the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. This article is designed to analyze the concepts of reward and punishment in hadith tarbawi by referring to three primary hadiths, while also examining their relevance to contemporary educational practices. A qualitative approach was employed in this study using a library research method. The findings indicate that reward in the hadith tradition emphasizes spiritual and moral dimensions, whereas punishment is implemented gradually, proportionally, and based on the principle of gentleness. These concepts are considered relevant to reinforcement theory in modern educational psychology; however, within the hadith perspective, they encompass broader ethical and transcendental dimensions. Therefore, the integration of hadith tarbawi values is viewed as capable of strengthening humanistic educational practices oriented toward character development.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the implementation of the deep learning approach in the PAI curriculum and learning at Ponpes Cendikia Faiha, including exploring teachers' perceptions, teaching practices, and identifying supporting and inhibiting factors. This research employed a descriptive qualitative methodology with purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through participative observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews with 5 teachers and 5 students, and documentation analysis. The findings indicate that the deep learning system, built upon three main pillars (mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning), makes a significant positive contribution to the quality of PAI education. Although their level of consistency varies, the educators have strived to implement this methodology, while students show positive responses reflected in increased activeness, ease of understanding the material, and strengthened memory retention. The success of this implementation is driven by teachers' internal motivation, students' learning enthusiasm, and training assistance from educational institutions. Conversely, the obstacles faced include limited preparation time, lack of diverse teaching media, and the need to continuously enhance teachers' professional capacity. Comprehensively, deep learning is proven to be more effective in the long term compared to traditional methods because it can achieve substantive and relevant material mastery for students.   Abstrak: Riset ini dilaksanakan untuk membedah implementasi pendekatan deep learning dalam kurikulum dan pembelajaran PAI di Ponpes Cendikia Faiha, yang mencakup penelusuran persepsi pendidik, implementasi pengajaran, serta pemetaan elemen pendorong maupun penghambatnya. Studi ini memakai metodologi kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode penentuan informan melalui purposive sampling. Perolehan data dilakukan lewat observasi partisipatif, dialog mendalam secara semi-terstruktur bersama 5 guru dan 5 murid, serta analisis dokumen pendukung. Temuan riset mengindikasikan bahwa sistem deep learning yang bersandar pada tiga fundamen utama (mindful, meaningful, dan joyful learning) memberikan kontribusi positif yang besar terhadap mutu edukasi PAI. Meskipun tingkat konsistensinya beragam, para pendidik telah mengupayakan praktik metodologi ini, sementara murid memperlihatkan reaksi positif yang nampak pada peningkatan keaktifan, kemudahan menyerap materi, serta penguatan retensi ingatan. Keberhasilan implementasi ini didorong oleh motivasi internal guru, gairah belajar siswa, dan asistensi bimbingan dari instansi pendidikan. Sebaliknya, kendala yang dihadapi berupa keterbatasan durasi persiapan, kurangnya keragaman media ajar, serta kapasitas profesionalisme guru yang harus terus diasah. Secara komprehensif, deep learning teruji lebih berdaya guna dalam skala jangka panjang ketimbang metode tradisional karena sanggup mewujudkan penguasaan materi yang substantif dan relevan bagi anak didik.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the disparity between the tahfidz curriculum targets and the actual achievements of students at MI Al-Hidayah Roworejo, West Lampung, where the students’ high enthusiasm was not matched by their ability to complete the memorization of Juz 30. Key indicators of the problem include stagnation in memorizing long surahs, persistent pronunciation errors due to a lack of audio resources, and students’ psychological frustration stemming from the digital divide in rural areas. The objective of this study is to identify the determinants hindering the memorization of Juz 30 and to formulate a mitigation model relevant to local sociocultural characteristics. The research method used was qualitative with a phenomenological design, involving 20 informants consisting of students, teachers, and parents through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation over four weeks, and documentation, which were then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana interactive model. The findings and results of the study indicate that memorization barriers are multifactorial, including cognitive overload, limited access to digital technology, and weak domestic support due to the parents’ backgrounds, the majority of whom are farmers. As a practical recommendation, this study proposes a “Contextual Memorization Mitigation Model” that integrates adaptive offline-audio-based classroom management and the use of flexible memorization control cards that accommodate parents’ domestic work schedules. Synergy between madrasahs and families based on local wisdom has proven to be the key to maintaining students’ resilience and intrinsic motivation in memorizing the Qur’an.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis secara komparatif sistem pendidikan di Indonesia dan New Zealand untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan kebijakan, kurikulum, serta implikasinya terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh dari artikel jurnal ilmiah, buku, laporan lembaga internasional, serta dokumen kebijakan pendidikan yang relevan, kemudian dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara sistematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pendidikan New Zealand lebih fleksibel dan desentralistik dengan kurikulum adaptif serta pembelajaran berpusat pada peserta didik, sedangkan sistem pendidikan Indonesia masih cenderung terpusat dengan fleksibilitas yang terbatas pada satuan pendidikan. Perbedaan tersebut berpengaruh terhadap kualitas pembelajaran dan kesiapan peserta didik dalam menghadapi tuntutan kompetensi abad ke-21. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan kebijakan desentralisasi, peningkatan fleksibilitas kurikulum, serta pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi sebagai langkah strategis dalam meningkatkan kualitas sistem pendidikan di Indonesia

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the world of education, including in the teaching of Indonesian in elementary schools. One of the increasingly emerging innovations is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) as a learning support. AI enables the learning process to be more interactive, adaptive, and tailored to the needs of students, thus functioning not only as an aid but also as an innovative solution to improve the quality of learning. This study aims to analyze research trends related to the use of AI in elementary school education, specifically Indonesian language learning, using a bibliometric approach. This method is used to systematically examine the patterns, distribution, and development of scientific publications. The research data includes 1,006 documents from the Dimensions.ai database from 2021–2025, which have been selected for relevance. The analysis results show a significant increase in the number of publications since 2021 and peaked in 2024. The most dominant fields include education, philosophy, and religious studies, indicating that AI studies focus not only on technology but also on ethical and value aspects. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in developing the use of AI to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools sustainably.

Abstract

Abstract:  The moral crisis among students has become a serious issue in today’s educational landscape. Phenomena such as low levels of empathy, increasing impolite behavior, and the rise of bullying indicate that education has not fully succeeded in optimally shaping students' character. So far, the education system tends to focus more on cognitive aspects rather than affective aspects. Therefore, a more humanistic approach is needed, one of which is through a Love-Based Curriculum. This study aims to examine the concept of a Love-Based Curriculum and its relevance in addressing the moral crisis among students. The method used in this study is a literature review by analyzing various sources related to character education and humanistic approaches in learning. The results show that the Love-Based Curriculum emphasizes values such as compassion, empathy, and role modeling in the learning process, thereby creating a more conducive and meaningful educational environment. Thus, the Love-Based Curriculum can serve as an alternative solution in developing students with noble character.  Abstrak:  Krisis moral pada peserta didik menjadi salah satu permasalahan serius dalam dunia pendidikan saat ini. Fenomena seperti rendahnya sikap empati, meningkatnya perilaku tidak sopan, serta maraknya tindakan perundungan menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan belum sepenuhnya berhasil membentuk karakter peserta didik secara optimal. Selama ini, sistem pendidikan cenderung lebih menitikberatkan pada aspek kognitif dibandingkan aspek afektif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu pendekatan yang lebih humanis, salah satunya melalui Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta serta relevansinya dalam mengatasi krisis moral peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber terkait pendidikan karakter dan pendekatan humanistik dalam pembelajaran. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta menekankan pada nilai kasih sayang, empati, dan keteladanan dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga mampu menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang lebih kondusif dan bermakna. Dengan demikian, Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif solusi dalam membangun karakter peserta didik yang berakhlak mulia.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi metode pembelajaran matematika bagi siswa Generasi Alpha yang dipengaruhi oleh teknologi digital dan permainan daring. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas lima di MIM Ketro 1 melalui observasi dan wawancara. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kendala utama adalah variasi karakter siswa, rentang perhatian yang pendek, dan dampak dari permainan daring. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, pendidik menggunakan pembelajaran kontekstual, kegiatan kelompok, praktik langsung, dan pengulangan materi. Faktor eksternal seperti kurangnya dukungan orang tua dan ketidakdisiplinan siswa juga mempengaruhi hasil belajar. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode pembelajaran interaktif dan dukungan dari keluarga sangat penting untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran matematika, sehingga kerja sama antara sekolah dan orang tua sangat dibutuhkan.

Abstract

Siswa kelas satu SD Negeri 01 Way Pisang memiliki kemampuan calistung (membaca, menulis, dan matematika dasar) yang sangat lemah, oleh karena itu penelitian ini diperlukan. Hal ini disebabkan karena kita masih menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang sangat konvensional dan kaku. Kemampuan membaca, menulis, dan berhitung dapat ditingkatkan melalui penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran tematik, yang menjadi fokus penelitian ini. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) merupakan pendekatan penelitian dua siklus yang digunakan. Untuk penelitian ini, dua puluh delapan siswa kelas satu menjadi partisipan. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam mengumpulkan data ialah dokumentasi, pengujian hasil belajar, serta observasi. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan paradigma pembelajaran tematik dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan dan kinerja siswa dalam membaca, menulis, dan matematika secara signifikan. Penguasaan kalistung klasik meningkat menjadi 70% pada siklus pertama dan 85% pada siklus kedua. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa strategi tematik membantu siswa bertransisi dari PAUD ke sekolah dasar dengan lebih lancar.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the free nutritious meal program in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SDN 2 Gedompol. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The participants consisted of fourth and fifth grade students, Islamic education teachers, and school personnel. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that the implementation of the free nutritious meal program contributes to enhancing students’ learning readiness and concentration during PAI lessons. In addition, the program supports the internalization of Islamic values such as gratitude, discipline, cooperation, and proper eating manners. The learning environment also becomes more conducive, which positively influences the teaching and learning process. Therefore, the program not only addresses students’ nutritional needs but also plays a significant role in supporting the quality of PAI learning in elementary school settings.
