Abstract

Abstract: According to Law no. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential. The foundation of education referring to Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution must remain rooted in Indonesian national religious and cultural values. Therefore, it is very important to pay attention to educational policies and innovations so that education runs directly in accordance with current conditions. However, it is also important to note that educational innovation must instill Islamic values so that it is in accordance with PMA Republic of Indonesia No. 13 of 2013 concerning Islamic Religious Education states that the implementation of education must instill in students the need to have faith and devotion to Allah SWT. However, great attention from the state alone is not enough, because practitioners and academics must strive hard to carry out continuous innovation in managing and developing education. This educational innovation must be based on educational goals to improve the quality of education, which will ultimately make the life of the nation intelligent and form competitive and dignified people.

Abstract

Contemporary education faces various fundamental problems, such as the dichotomy between religious science and general science, pragmatic-economic orientation, and the weakening of the dimension of values and character. This problem shows that there is a philosophical crisis in the modern education paradigm that tends to be secular and positivistic. This article aims to reconstruct the philosophy of Islamic education as an alternative paradigm that is relevant in responding to contemporary educational challenges. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method on classical and contemporary works in the field of Islamic philosophy of education as well as relevant scientific journal articles. The data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, conceptual categorization, and philosophical-contextual synthesis. The results of the study show that the philosophy of Islamic education has an integrative conceptual framework based on monotheism as an educational worldview, the principle of tawāzun (balance), the integration of knowledge and revelation, spiritual realism in the educational process, as well as the strengthening of Islamic values, social ethics, and humanism. This reconstruction is not only normative, but also has practical relevance in the development of a holistic and value-oriented Islamic education system and management. This article contributes theoretically to the development of the paradigm of Islamic education philosophy and provides strategic implications for the development of Islamic education policies and practices in the modern era.Keywords: Philosophy of Islamic education, paradigm reconstruction, contemporary education, monotheism, integration of knowledge

Abstract

Abstract: This qualitative research with a pedagogical approach aims to examine the concept of Ta'dib (adab education) initiated by Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas as a fundamental framework in developing students' character. Al-Attas views the loss of adab values ​​as the root of the problem in Islamic education. The results of the study indicate that the concept of Ta'dib is oriented towards mastering correct knowledge to achieve stable deeds and noble morals based on faith. Ta'dib is not only a moral competence (akhlak) for educators and students, but also the key to the formation of a civilized personality (including friendliness, self-control, and spiritual awareness), with the ultimate goal of producing good humans who are aware of their responsibilities to God, themselves, society, and nature. The concept of Ta'dib has a close relevance to the goals of moral education (akhlak al-karimah) and requires a hierarchy of knowledge (fardhu 'ain is nobler than fardhu kifayah) as well as exemplary practices from educators. The implementation of Ta'dib values, such as the habit of prayer, memorizing the Quran, and civilized interactions, has generally been successful. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, adab education faced significant challenges due to the shift to online learning (discussions, assignments) and the lack of optimal support from parents (especially those with limited time or professional resources). While online learning has the benefit of increasing parent-child interaction, this situation has resulted in a less conducive learning process and a decline in students' manners. Modifications to the learning process have been made to maintain curriculum targets and integrate life skills education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana publikasi Lembaga pendidikan Islam di era digital. Media sosial tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai media dakwah, branding, dan pembinaan karakter. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi pada lembaga pendidikan Islam yang aktif menggunakan Instagram, Facebook, dan WhatsApp. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Instagram berperan sebagai media visual untuk memperkuat citra lembaga, Facebook digunakan sebagai ruang komunitas dan publikasi formal, sedangkan WhatsApp berfungsi sebagai sarana komunikasi cepat dan personal. Konten yang dipublikasikan mencakup kegiatan akademik, keagamaan, prestasi santri, serta motivasi Islami. Respons pengikut menunjukkan interaksi yang cukup tinggi melalui likes, komentar, dan share, yang menandakan adanya kedekatan emosional antara lembaga dan masyarakat. Namun, tantangan yang muncul adalah konsistensi publikasi, kualitas konten, serta pengelolaan komentar negatif.

Abstract

The persistent challenge of environmental degradation necessitates educational interventions that foster pro-environmental values from an early age. This study addresses a critical gap by investigating how Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools (SDIT), which uniquely blend scientific and religious curricula, can effectively cultivate environmental stewardship. Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology at SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Dua Ngawi, data was gathered via observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that contextual, nature-based learning which explicitly links scientific concepts (e.g., ecosystems, conservation) with Qur'anic principles and the ethos of khalifah fil ardh successfully fosters students' environmental awareness, responsible attitudes, and sustainable habits. The integration establishes a dual reinforcement mechanism, where environmental understanding is concurrently framed as both a scientific imperative and a moral-spiritual obligation, leading to deeper value internalization. This research proposes an integrative learning model as a sustainable strategy for character and environmental education in Islamic primary institutions

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for learning media used to improve students' conceptual understanding of Natural Sciences (IPA) subjects at SDN Sriwedari 02. The background of this study is based on the importance of learning media as a tool in the teaching and learning process. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects include science teachers and students. The results of the study indicate that the learning media that have been used so far are quite good and able to help students understand science materials. However, the needs analysis shows that there is still room for the development of more varied and contextual media, to support more effective learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis penguatan tauhid rububiyah melalui metode pengamatan tanaman pada siswa kelas I Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Penanaman tauhid rububiyah sejak usia dini merupakan fondasi penting dalam pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik, namun pembelajaran tauhid di kelas rendah masih cenderung bersifat abstrak dan verbal. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi lapangan. Subjek penelitian meliputi 17 siswa kelas I Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Baleharjo Pacitan dan guru aqidah sebagai informan kunci. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pengamatan tanaman mampu menghadirkan pembelajaran yang konkret dan kontekstual, sehingga membantu siswa memahami konsep tauhid rububiyah secara lebih bermakna. Siswa mulai mengenali Allah Swt. sebagai Pencipta dan Pemelihara makhluk hidup, menunjukkan rasa kagum terhadap ciptaan-Nya, serta menumbuhkan sikap syukur dan tanggung jawab. Dengan demikian, metode pengamatan tanaman efektif digunakan sebagai strategi pembelajaran aqidah untuk memperkuat internalisasi nilai tauhid rububiyah pada siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah kelas rendah.

Abstract

This study examines the role of adaptive leadership as a key factor in building the resilience of madrasah education in the era of digitalization using a literature review method. Digitalization presents both opportunities and challenges for madrasahs, particularly regarding technology integration, strengthening teacher capacity, and modernizing institutional management. The findings indicate that adaptive leadership plays a crucial role in transforming the curriculum to be digital literacy-based, enhancing teacher competencies through educational technology training, and implementing efficient and transparent technology-based management. Furthermore, adaptive leadership must also maintain a balance between technological modernization and the preservation of Islamic values so that madrasahs remain relevant, competitive, and rooted in Islamic scholarly traditions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the presence of transformational leadership in Islamic education in the digital age. Transformational leadership is viewed as a leadership model capable of inspiring, motivating, and guiding positive change within Islamic educational institutions, particularly in addressing the challenges and opportunities presented by advancements in digital technology. The research method employed is a literature review, examining various relevant academic sources such as books, articles, and journals. The findings indicate that transformational leadership plays a strategic role in shaping a vision for Islamic education that is adaptable to the digital age, enhancing the quality of technology-based learning, and reinforcing spiritual and moral values amidst the tide of globalization. Furthermore, transformational leadership contributes to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and the integration of information technology into the educational process. In conclusion, the presence of transformational leadership in Islamic education in the digital age is not only crucial for the sustainability of educational institutions but also serves as a key factor in nurturing a generation that is principled, competitive, and of noble character.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the relevance of Imam Al-Ghazali’s educational thought in addressing the challenges of primary education in the Society 5.0 era. Al-Ghazali emphasizes the importance of harmonizing spirituality, morality, and knowledge as the foundation for the formation of a complete human being. In the context of primary education, this principle is viewed as a potential solution to modern problems such as moral crises, technological dehumanization, and the weak integration of values in learning. The research method employed is a qualitative study using a library research approach, examining Al-Ghazali’s works along with contemporary literature related to Society 5.0. The findings reveal that Al-Ghazali’s concept of education remains highly relevant and has become increasingly significant in facing the dynamics of the Society 5.0 era. The integration of spirituality, morality, and knowledge serves as a crucial foundation for responding to technological advancements that often shift or diminish human values. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis relevansi pemikiran pendidikan Imam Al-Ghazali dalam menjawab tantangan pendidikan dasar di era Society 5.0. Al-Ghazali menekankan pentingnya harmonisasi antara spiritualitas, moralitas, dan ilmu pengetahuan sebagai fondasi pembentukan manusia paripurna. Dalam konteks pendidikan dasar, prinsip ini dipandang mampu menjadi solusi atas problem modern seperti krisis moral, dehumanisasi teknologi, dan lemahnya integrasi nilai dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian kualitatif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan (library research), menelaah karya-karya Al-Ghazali serta literatur kontemporer terkait Society 5.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep pendidikan Al-Ghazali tetap memiliki relevansi yang kuat dan bahkan semakin signifikan dalam menghadapi dinamika era Society 5.0. Integrasi antara spiritualitas, moralitas, dan ilmu pengetahuan menjadi fondasi penting untuk menjawab tantangan kemajuan teknologi yang kerap menggeser nilai-nilai kemanusiaan.
