Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of tax incentives on investment decisions in the upstream oil and gas sector in Indonesia, as well as their implications for social justice and state sovereignty. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study identifies and evaluates studies related to tax incentives and profit-sharing contracts. The results show that the gross split contract scheme, which replaces the cost recovery scheme, is expected to increase transparency and efficiency in natural resource management. Although designed to attract investment by reducing risk, challenges such as regulatory uncertainty and environmental issues remain. This study found that tax incentives have a positive and significant influence on investment interest, potentially increasing state revenue. However, there are concerns that the scheme could discourage investment in high-cost projects, risking affecting the national economy and energy security. Policy recommendations include the evaluation and adjustment of tax incentive policies, as well as dialogue between the government, contractors, and the community to reach mutually beneficial agreements.

Abstract

The research entitled "The Effect of Risk-Based Training on Improving the Competence of State Civil Apparatus" aims to analyze the impact of training focusing on risk management on the development of ASN competencies. In the context of a dynamic public sector, risk-based training provides provisions for civil servants to identify, manage, and mitigate potential risks that may be faced in public services. This study uses a literature study approach with data analysis that highlights the importance of training as a human resource development strategy. The results of the study show that risk-based training not only improves the technical skills of ASN, but also strengthens analytical and responsive decision-making abilities in crisis situations. With training designed based on the identification and simulation of real risks, ASN is better prepared to face challenges, which ultimately has a positive impact on the quality of public services. This training plays an important role in supporting ASN to be more adaptive and professional in carrying out their duties. The study emphasizes that investment in risk-based training is very relevant for the development of competent civil servants, in order to support the achievement of organizational goals and increase public trust in government services.

Abstract

The role of social media in shaping emotional expression and mental health has become a critical area of study, especially concerning women. This research investigates how women utilize social media platforms as spaces for emotional regulation, analyzing the effects on mental health from an emotional regulation framework. Drawing from qualitative interviews and content analysis, this study examines the patterns through which women express, manage, and seek support for their emotions online. The findings reveal a dual impact of social media on women's mental health. While platforms provide a supportive space for self-expression, connection, and validation, they also present challenges, such as privacy concerns, exposure to negative feedback, and the risk of emotional fatigue due to constant social comparison. These challenges highlight a paradoxical relationship, where social media acts as both a tool for emotional resilience and a source of stress. This study contributes to an understanding of the complexities in digital emotional regulation, offering insights into how women navigate emotional well-being within a digital context. The findings underscore the importance of awareness around the positive and negative impacts of digital emotional spaces and offer implications for enhancing supportive online environments for mental health.

Abstract

Islamic family law plays a central role in structuring marriage, divorce, and inheritance matters within Muslim societies, balancing ethical principles with legal mandates in a rapidly changing world. This study examines how Sharia law's family regulations adapt and transform to address evolving social norms while preserving Islamic principles. Using a qualitative approach, this research analyzes primary sources, including Qur’anic verses and Hadiths, alongside modern interpretations of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) and legal reforms in various Muslim-majority countries. Findings reveal that, while Sharia law traditionally emphasizes responsibilities and roles within the family unit, recent reforms reflect an increasing recognition of individual rights, especially in marriage and inheritance. These adaptations respond to social demands for equity, particularly regarding women's rights and gender roles, highlighting a nuanced interplay between religious values and societal needs. This paper offers insights into the role of Islamic family law in fostering family stability and continuity while responding to modern challenges and calls for balanced frameworks that respect both tradition and contemporary values.

Abstract

This article discusses the use of natural Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) in accelerating plant growth. PGRs are synthetic chemicals that mimic endogenous plant hormones. However, due to their high cost, developing independent PGRs from organic materials presents an attractive alternative. Various organic materials containing plant hormones can effectively facilitate plant growth and development. This article uses a qualitative approach based on relevant literature on plant hormones and PGRs, focusing on banana pith and coconut water extracts. Results indicate that soaking mung beans in a 75% coconut water solution (A2B3) yields optimal growth. The article elaborates on five primary groups of PGRs—auxins, cytokinins, gibberellins, ethylene, and abscisic acid—and their roles and activation mechanisms in plants. It provides insights into the benefits of natural PGRs in supporting organic farming within home environments.
