Abstract

The role of social media in shaping emotional expression and mental health has become a critical area of study, especially concerning women. This research investigates how women utilize social media platforms as spaces for emotional regulation, analyzing the effects on mental health from an emotional regulation framework. Drawing from qualitative interviews and content analysis, this study examines the patterns through which women express, manage, and seek support for their emotions online. The findings reveal a dual impact of social media on women's mental health. While platforms provide a supportive space for self-expression, connection, and validation, they also present challenges, such as privacy concerns, exposure to negative feedback, and the risk of emotional fatigue due to constant social comparison. These challenges highlight a paradoxical relationship, where social media acts as both a tool for emotional resilience and a source of stress. This study contributes to an understanding of the complexities in digital emotional regulation, offering insights into how women navigate emotional well-being within a digital context. The findings underscore the importance of awareness around the positive and negative impacts of digital emotional spaces and offer implications for enhancing supportive online environments for mental health.

Abstract

Islamic family law plays a central role in structuring marriage, divorce, and inheritance matters within Muslim societies, balancing ethical principles with legal mandates in a rapidly changing world. This study examines how Sharia law's family regulations adapt and transform to address evolving social norms while preserving Islamic principles. Using a qualitative approach, this research analyzes primary sources, including Qur’anic verses and Hadiths, alongside modern interpretations of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) and legal reforms in various Muslim-majority countries. Findings reveal that, while Sharia law traditionally emphasizes responsibilities and roles within the family unit, recent reforms reflect an increasing recognition of individual rights, especially in marriage and inheritance. These adaptations respond to social demands for equity, particularly regarding women's rights and gender roles, highlighting a nuanced interplay between religious values and societal needs. This paper offers insights into the role of Islamic family law in fostering family stability and continuity while responding to modern challenges and calls for balanced frameworks that respect both tradition and contemporary values.

Abstract

Halal tourism has become a significant trend globally, catering to the needs of Muslim travelers who seek destinations that comply with Islamic principles. Indonesia, with its rich cultural heritage and large Muslim population, has immense potential in this sector. This paper examines the effectiveness of Indonesia's promotional strategies in the halal tourism sector and how they contribute to enhancing the country's competitiveness in the global market. Using a mixed-method approach that combines qualitative analysis of promotional materials and quantitative assessment of tourist data, this research highlights the current state of Indonesia's halal tourism initiatives. The findings indicate that while Indonesia has made considerable progress, several challenges hinder its full potential. This paper also suggests targeted strategies for more effective marketing that align with global halal tourism standards, ultimately boosting Indonesia's position as a top halal tourist destination.

Abstract

This article discusses the use of natural Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) in accelerating plant growth. PGRs are synthetic chemicals that mimic endogenous plant hormones. However, due to their high cost, developing independent PGRs from organic materials presents an attractive alternative. Various organic materials containing plant hormones can effectively facilitate plant growth and development. This article uses a qualitative approach based on relevant literature on plant hormones and PGRs, focusing on banana pith and coconut water extracts. Results indicate that soaking mung beans in a 75% coconut water solution (A2B3) yields optimal growth. The article elaborates on five primary groups of PGRs—auxins, cytokinins, gibberellins, ethylene, and abscisic acid—and their roles and activation mechanisms in plants. It provides insights into the benefits of natural PGRs in supporting organic farming within home environments.

Abstract

This study analyzes the science literacy abilities of students at SMA Negeri 6 Sigi, focusing specifically on chemistry literacy. The objective is to evaluate the extent to which students understand chemistry concepts and can apply them in solving everyday problems. Using a mixed-method approach, qualitative data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire, while quantitative data were gathered from a multiple-choice test requiring reasoned responses. Results show that while students self-report high levels of chemistry understanding, their actual performance in applying these concepts is limited, with significant discrepancies observed between perceived and demonstrated abilities. The study highlights the importance of incorporating contextual and inquiry-based learning approaches in chemistry instruction to improve conceptual understanding and reasoning skills. These findings provide valuable insights for educators in enhancing chemistry literacy through real-life applications, ultimately fostering students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Tourism is a driver of the world economy that is proven to be able to contribute to the prosperity of a country. This sector can also be reached by people from various groups, so it is labor-intensive oriented and should be able to absorb a higher workforce compared to other sectors. The aim of this research is to determine and analyze the influence of the number of tourist attractions and the number of tourist visits on employment in the tourism sector per province in Indonesia. This research was designed as associative quantitative research. The population in this study is all 34 provinces in Indonesia. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling, so that the number of samples in this study is the same as the population. Data collection techniques through documentation studies obtained from data from the Indonesian Provincial Central Statistics Agency. The collected data will be analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that the number of tourist attractions and the number of tourist visits have a significant effect on employment in the tourism sector. This shows that if there are more tourist attractions and tourist visits in a province in Indonesia, then more workers will be absorbed in that area.

Abstract

Medical records are a critical component in determining the quality of healthcare services provided by hospitals. Comprehensive and accurate medical records serve multiple purposes, including administrative, legal, financial, research, educational, and documentation needs. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Minister of Health Regulation No. 24 of 2022 concerning mental health medical records at Madani Hospital, Palu. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews with five informants, including the Head of the Medical Records Unit, and document analysis. The research was conducted between May 15 and July 2, 2024. The findings reveal that while Madani Hospital has implemented the regulation, challenges persist, particularly regarding incomplete patient records caused by non-compliance among healthcare workers and limited human resources in the medical records unit. Moreover, the hospital relies on a hybrid system combining manual and electronic records due to insufficient infrastructure and funding. These challenges impact the efficiency and accuracy of record management. This study recommends regular supervision and training for medical records staff to ensure timely and accurate documentation. Strengthening human resources and transitioning to a fully electronic system are essential for enhancing compliance with the regulation and improving overall service quality.

Abstract

The background problems in this research are numerous. Recent research shows that technology, especially the internet, creates such a big negative impact. Therefore, researchers agree that literacy media is needed to prevent this impact. There are also various media literacy studies carried out to find the right literacy model. This research aims to find out Literature Study: Literacy Phenomenon of Indonesian Netizens through Feedback on social media. The method used in this study is a library approach. The research results show that Most researchers conduct media and digital literacy research based on the high level of consumption of conventional and new media which indirectly has a negative effect on audiences. It is feared that this effect will damage the values and behavior of the public. Therefore, media and digital literacy is very much needed. This is because media and digital literacy teaches audiences to think critically when consuming media. Media literacy research trends in Indonesia are relatively like research trends at the international level. Most researchers examine media literacy as part of preventing the negative impacts of media rather than as a skill for self-empowerment.
