Abstract

Digital transformation has fundamentally changed economic transaction patterns in Indonesia, requiring adjustments to the concept of civil liability for electronic contracts and the role of marketplace platforms. This study analyses the normative basis and civil law practices in digital transactions, focusing on the validity of electronic contracts according to the Civil Code and Law 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions, as well as the responsibility of marketplace platforms for consumer losses within the framework of Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection and Government Regulation No. 80 of 2019 on Trading Through Electronic Systems. This research uses a normative (juridical-dogmatic) legal approach with an analysis of legislation, doctrine, and case studies of online transactions. The results of the study show that electronic contracts are normatively recognised as valid and binding, but in practice there is still uncertainty regarding evidence, authentication, and standard clauses that are detrimental to consumers. On the other hand, marketplace platforms have preventive, contractual, and repressive responsibilities towards consumers, but in many cases, these responsibilities are still limited to administrative and technical aspects, so the concept of joint liability between marketplaces and sellers needs to be strengthened. This article concludes that there is a need for further harmonisation between civil law, digital regulations, and consumer protection to ensure fairness, legal certainty, and balanced protection in the digital transaction ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the skincare industry in Indonesia through e-commerce platforms has given rise to the practice of overclaim, namely excessive or misleading claims regarding product benefits or ingredients, which may harm consumers. This study aims to analyze legal protection for consumers against overclaim practices, as well as the responsibilities of business actors and the role of the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM). The research employs a normative juridical method with a statutory approach and a literature review. The results indicate that the Consumer Protection Law prohibits misleading information but does not specifically regulate overclaim practices. BPOM holds administrative authority; however, digital supervision remains weak. Consumer compensation may be pursued in both material and immaterial forms based on the Indonesian Civil Code. This study recommends revising the Consumer Protection Law, strengthening BPOM’s supervisory role, and enhancing consumer education. Synergy among the government, business actors, and society is essential to achieve a fair and responsible skincare industry.

Abstract

Morbus Hansen (MH) is a chronic granulomatous infection caused by Mycobacterium leprae, characterized by anesthesia, peripheral nerve thickening, and the presence of acid-fast bacilli (AFB) on bacteriological examination. Vitamin D is known to play an important immunomodulatory role in the immune response to mycobacterial infections. This study aims to review existing research on the relationship between serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] and Morbus Hansen. A critical analysis was performed on scientific articles retrieved from PubMed, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect databases, covering publications from the past 10 years that discussed vitamin D levels in patients with Morbus Hansen. Five articles meeting the inclusion criteria for this study. Serum vitamin D levels in Morbus Hansen patients were lower compared to healthy controls and showed a significant association with the clinical type of MH. Patients with the paucibacillary type had higher vitamin D levels than those with the multibacillary type. Vitamin D plays a role in the immune response against Mycobacterium leprae, and vitamin D deficiency may increase the risk and severity of the disease

Abstract

This research seeks to analyze the influence of service quality and corporate image on customer satisfaction at Achmad Motor Workshop. The study is grounded in the growing number of motorcycle users, which increases the demand for high-standard workshop services and a strong company image to foster customer loyalty. A quantitative method was applied, employing a random sampling technique involving 100 customers of Achmad Motor Workshop during the period of January 2 to 8, 2025. Data were gathered through questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression. The results reveal that both service quality and corporate image significantly and positively impact customer satisfaction, both individually and collectively. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.917 suggests that 91.7% of customer satisfaction variation is attributable to these two factors. It is evident that corporate image plays a more prominent role than service quality in enhancing customer satisfaction. These findings suggest that prioritizing brand image and consistently improving service delivery should be central to Achmad Motor Workshop’s growth strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of wage policies in Tasikmalaya City following the enactment of the Job Creation Law and Government Regulation No. 51 of 2023. Using a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, this study identifies obstacles in enforcing the City Minimum Wage (UMK) standard. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with purposively selected informants, and documentation. The analysis was conducted based on Marilee S. Grindle's policy implementation model, which includes policy content and implementation context variables. The findings show that the implementation of the wage policy has not been optimal due to disparities in interests among actors, limited human and financial resources, and low levels of compliance among business actors. The misalignment between wage formulation and the real cost of living has triggered resistance from worker groups, while the supervisory function of local governments remains co-opted by limitations in administrative authority.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of students’ continuity in performing muroja’ah on the quality of Qur’anic memorization among fifth-grade students at Pondok Pesantren Nurus Sunnah Tegal. The background of this research is the variation in memorization quality among students despite having relatively similar amounts of memorized verses. This study employs a quantitative approach using a correlational method. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and memorization tests. The results indicate that there is a significant effect of muroja’ah continuity on the quality of Qur’anic memorization. The more consistent the students perform muroja’ah, the higher the quality of their memorization, as reflected in fluency, accuracy of tajwid, and memorization retention. This research is expected to serve as a reference for Qur’anic educational institutions in improving students’ memorization quality through continuous and structured muroja’ah practices.

Abstract

Pathological vaginal discharge is a common reproductive health problem among women, especially in Indonesia, with a prevalence reaching 75%. Conventional treatment for vaginal discharge is often constrained by cost and limited access to healthcare services, making traditional remedies such as green betel leaf decoction and turmeric extract popular alternatives. This study aimed to examine the antifungal effectiveness of green betel leaf decoction and turmeric in significantly reducing pathological vaginal discharge among adolescent to adult women over the long term. The research method employed was a literature review with a systematic search of the Google Scholar database from January 2020 to July 2024 using the keyword “Traditional Medicine for Vaginal Discharge.” From 3,010 initial articles, after screening for duplication and relevance, five articles were selected for descriptive analysis. The results showed that green betel leaf decoction and turmeric extract had high effectiveness in reducing pathological vaginal discharge, as evidenced by a significant decrease in discharge scores (p<0.05) across various age groups of women. Bioactive compounds such as essential oils, flavonoids, and curcumin provide antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory activities that help restore vaginal microflora balance. In conclusion, green betel leaf decoction and turmeric were effective in significantly reducing pathological vaginal discharge among adolescent to adult women, in accordance with the long-term treatment objectives.

Abstract

In the practice of trading through the Shopee platform electronic system, there are still frequent discrepancies between the goods received by consumers and those agreed upon, both in terms of quality, quantity, and specifications, thus potentially causing losses and legal uncertainty. This study aims to analyze the validity of electronic buying and selling transactions through Shopee and the form of legal protection for consumers against losses that arise. The method used is normative legal research with a statutory regulatory approach and a conceptual approach. The results of the study indicate that transactions through Shopee are valid legal acts as long as they meet the requirements for a valid agreement according to the Civil Code and are recognized in the provisions of the ITE Law and the PP PMSE. Consumer protection is provided preventively through the obligation to provide correct information and repressively through compensation mechanisms and dispute resolution, although its implementation is not yet optimal and still requires strengthening.

Abstract

Building discipline in young boys often faces challenges due to high levels of motor activity which, if not properly managed, can hinder the learning process. This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing discipline in Group B boys through the congregational prayer (shalat berjamaah) learning model at Tarbiyatul Aulad (TA) Nurus Sunnah Pemalang, focusing on the 'Imam Cilik' (Young Imam) strategy as an educational instrument to channel motor energy into self-control and responsibility. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and character development documentation. The results reveal that rotating the 'Imam Cilik' role effectively manages children's physical energy positively through three phases of internalization: mimetic (imitation of movements), identification (reduction of impulsivity through the moral weight of the role), and autonomy (independent awareness). The findings show that the discipline formed is generalized to activities outside of prayer, where children who initially exhibited undirected motor activity became calmer and more responsible. The study concludes that the 'Imam Cilik' model is effective in transforming motor energy into a foundation for leadership character and autonomous discipline in boys.
