Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of voice intonation management in Surah Luqman verse 19 and Surah Al-Hujurat verse 2 and its relevance to contemporary communication and da'wah. The research employs a qualitative approach using library research, thematic interpretation (maudhu’i), and comparative analysis. The findings reveal that Surah Luqman verse 19 teaches the importance of self-control in managing voice intonation to ensure that communication remains polite, effective, and persuasive. Meanwhile, Surah Al-Hujurat verse 2 emphasizes the importance of respecting the audience as the foundation for establishing harmonious and dignified relationships. Comparative analysis shows that these two verses form a Qur’anic communication paradigm based on self-regulation, respect for others, and social responsibility. This concept is relevant to various modern communication theories and serves as an ethical foundation for developing humane, moderate, and civilized communication in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the micro teaching program implemented in the Primary Islamic Teacher Education (PGMI) Study Program using the Kirkpatrick evaluation model at the Reaction and Learning levels. The research employed a quantitative evaluation approach involving 21 students who had completed the micro teaching course. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire to measure students’ reactions and an observation rubric to assess teaching competencies. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean scores, percentages, and effectiveness categories. Unlike previous studies that primarily examined the influence of micro teaching on teaching competence, this study evaluates the effectiveness of the program systematically by integrating participants’ reactions and learning outcomes within the Kirkpatrick evaluation framework in the context of Islamic teacher education. The findings revealed that the micro teaching program achieved an effectiveness score of 78.98% at the Reaction level, indicating that students generally responded positively to the program, particularly regarding the quality of supervising lecturers and the relevance of the program to professional development. At the Learning level, the program achieved an effectiveness score of 83.51%, categorized as highly effective, demonstrating significant improvement in students’ teaching competencies. The highest achievements were found in reinforcement skills, instructional variation, classroom management, and lesson opening and closing skills. Overall, the findings indicate that the micro teaching program effectively supports the development of pedagogical competencies and prepares PGMI students to perform professional teaching practices.

Abstract

Digital accounting transformation has shifted the paradigm of corporate reporting through the application of several digital technologies that might raise the standard of information about sustainability. This modification encourages businesses to create Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosures and sustainability reports that are more accurate, transparent, and in accordance with stakeholder demands. This study aims to analyze the role of digital accounting transformation in improving the quality of sustainability reporting and ESG disclosures through a literature review approach. The research method uses a literature study by reviewing various reputable scientific articles, books, and relevant academic documents regarding digital accounting transformation, the caliber of ESG disclosures and sustainability reporting. The study's findings show that the use of digital technologies including blockchain, cloud accounting, intelligence, and big data analytics, and integrated reporting systems, can improve data accuracy, information transparency, report preparation speed, verification process effectiveness, and compliance with sustainability reporting standards. On the other hand, the quality of ESG disclosures is still influenced by various challenges, including organizational readiness, data governance, cybersecurity, human resource competency, and evolving regulatory dynamics. Therefore, successful digital accounting transformation requires synergy between technological innovation, good corporate governance, and sustainability strategies to produce more credible, relevant, and decision-supporting ESG reporting. This research provides a conceptual contribution to enriching the literature discusses the connection between raising the standard of sustainability reporting in the digital age and digital accounting transformation.

Abstract

This article reports a qualitative study on learning media used by an English teacher at SDN 2 Bengkala to support inclusive education, particularly for students with hearing and speaking impairments. The study addresses three questions: the types of learning media used in inclusive English instruction, the challenges faced by the teacher, and the strategies used to overcome those challenges. Data were collected through classroom observation, semi-structured interviews, documentation, and anecdotal records, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings show that visual and digital media were central to English instruction. PowerPoint slides, projected pictures, short videos, tablets, flashcards, posters, realia, wall displays, and whiteboard illustrations helped make vocabulary and classroom concepts more concrete. However, the implementation of media was constrained by limited devices, uneven digital skills, the need to simplify complex materials, and the limited availability of academic sign language vocabulary. The teacher responded through practical adaptation: simplifying visuals, adding written explanations, using familiar tools, seeking support from colleagues and assistant teachers, applying flexible grouping, and encouraging peer support. The study suggests that inclusive English teaching depends not only on the availability of media but also on teacher creativity, collaborative support, and accessible visual design.

Abstract

Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) is an important indicator used to measure the contribution of the manufacturing sector to a country’s economy. Countries in the ASEAN region exhibit diverse developments in the manufacturing sector, which are influenced by various economic factors such as FDI, labor quality, and trade openness. This study aims to analyze the effect of FDI, labor quality, and trade openness on Manufacturing Value Added in several ASEAN countries during the 2015–2023 observation period. The method used in this study is panel data regression analysis with a significance level of five percent, employing the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results show that simultaneously, FDI, labor quality, and trade openness have an effect on Manufacturing Value Added. Partially, FDI has a positive but insignificant effect on MVA, while labor quality and trade openness have a positive and significant effect on MVA. These findings indicate that improvements in labor quality and trade openness play a stronger role in driving the growth of the manufacturing sector compared to direct foreign investment inflows. Therefore, policies focusing on human resource development and increasing trade integration are needed to strengthen the sustainable contribution of the manufacturing sector

Abstract

Evaluations of public transportation performance in Indonesia generally assume a problem of excess demand, even though not all regions face this condition. This study examined the performance of 18 rural transportation routes in Kebumen Regency and found the opposite pattern: chronic underutilization, rather than overcrowding. Using a descriptive-quantitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through static surveys, dynamic (on-board) surveys, passenger interviews, and spatial analysis of route networks, and then compared Director General of Land Transportation Decree No. SK.687/AJ.206/DRJD/2002. The results show a service frequency of only 2–5 vehicles per hour, a headway of 23–68 minutes, and an average load factor of 7–29%—far below the 70% threshold on public transport service. This poor performance is not due to limited physical accessibility (59% of users live less than 100 meters from a service point), but rather to a structural preference for informal modes of transport (62% of users switched from motorcycle taxis or pedicabs). At the network level, service coverage is only 20.9% of the total area, with route overlap reaching 89%, compounded by a fleet age that far exceeds the roadworthiness threshold (14–29 years). These findings form a self-reinforcing cycle of declining performance involving low service reliability, user migration, and operators’ weak investment capacity. This study fills a gap in the literature that separates evaluations of conventional transit from post-implementation evaluations of BRT systems by positioning patterns of underutilization as a pre-planning diagnostic tool and a basis for decision-making in the planning of mass transit systems across various urban areas with diverse demographic characteristics, including both metropolitan areas and other developing regions.

Abstract

Student attendance is an important indicator of academic engagement, learning discipline, and readiness to participate in school activities. This study aimed to describe students' learning motivation, describe students' attendance level, examine the influence of learning motivation on attendance, and identify the contribution of learning motivation in explaining variations in the attendance of eighth-grade students at SMPN 3 Rogojampi. This research employed a quantitative correlational design. Learning motivation data were collected using a 35-item Likert-scale questionnaire from 154 respondents, while attendance data were obtained from official school attendance documentation for the even semester. A total of 148 matched cases were included in the advanced analysis. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, Spearman correlation, and simple linear regression. The results showed that students' learning motivation was in the high category, with a mean score of 130.773. The average total absence was 9.162 days. Pearson correlation produced r = -0.029 with Sig. = 0.726, while Spearman correlation produced rho = -0.090 with Sig. = 0.279. The regression result showed R Square = 0.001, or approximately 0.08%. Therefore, learning motivation was not proven to have a significant influence on student attendance. These findings indicate that attendance improvement requires guidance and counseling services that address not only learning motivation but also family, health, self-discipline, and school-environment factors.

Abstract

Extremist narratives on social media have become a threat to social cohesion, tolerance, and religious moderation in Indonesia because digital platforms facilitate the rapid and widespread spread of propaganda, hate speech, takfirism, and identity polarization. This article contextualizes the principle of Dar’u al-Mafasid ‘Ala Jalbi al-Mashalih as a normative framework to prioritize the prevention of harm in the digital space when freedom of expression has the potential to give rise to public harm. This research uses a qualitative method based on literature review with a conceptual-normative approach, and links the principles of maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, sadd al-dharī’ah, and religious moderation as an analytical foundation. The results of the study indicate that these principles are relevant to underpin content moderation, information verification, digital literacy, and counter-narratives based on inclusive religious authority. Thus, Dar'u al-Mafasid not only functions as a classical principle, but also as an ethical-theological instrument for building a digital space that is safe, beneficial, and in line with the goals of religious protection and public benefit.

Abstract

The increasing migration of people from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to Bali has generated various social dynamics, including the emergence of social stigma that affects migrants' access to boarding houses (kos). This study aims to analyze the dynamics of social stigma experienced by NTT migrants in obtaining boarding house accommodation in Denpasar, Bali. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The study involved nine purposively selected informants consisting of three boarding house owners, three local Balinese residents, and three migrants from NTT. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model and interpreted through Erving Goffman's stigma theory alongside the stigma process proposed by Link and Phelan, encompassing labeling, stereotyping, separation, and discrimination. The findings reveal that social stigma toward NTT migrants is primarily shaped by the generalization of the behavior of a small number of individuals, reinforced by media exposure, personal experiences, and narratives circulating within the community. These perceptions subsequently develop into stereotypes that influence boarding house owners' decisions, leading to more selective rental practices and, in some cases, discriminatory treatment based solely on regional origin. Consequently, many NTT migrants experience difficulties in securing accommodation, psychological pressure, social exclusion, and the need to continuously demonstrate positive behavior to challenge existing stereotypes. Nevertheless, the study also finds that direct interpersonal interaction, consistent adherence to social norms, and effective communication contribute significantly to reducing prejudice and fostering greater acceptance. This study concludes that social stigma toward NTT migrants extends beyond individual prejudice and has become a structural barrier affecting equal access to housing. Therefore, strengthening intercultural communication, promoting objective media representation, and implementing inclusive housing policies are essential to reducing discrimination and encouraging social cohesion between local communities and migrant populations.

Abstract

Rural agribusiness continues to face various challenges, including limited market access, low value-added agricultural products, environmental degradation, and the need to improve community welfare. Agroecotourism has emerged as an integrated development strategy that combines sustainable agricultural practices, environmental conservation, and tourism activities to strengthen rural economic resilience. This study aims to examine the strategic role of agroecotourism development in promoting rural agribusiness growth through a comprehensive review of recent scientific literature. The research employs a qualitative literature review approach by analyzing peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and relevant institutional reports published within the last decade. The collected literature was synthesized using thematic analysis to identify the major dimensions of agroecotourism development and its implications for agribusiness sustainability. The findings indicate that agroecotourism contributes to rural agribusiness growth by diversifying farmers' income sources, increasing the value of agricultural products, expanding market opportunities, encouraging local entrepreneurship, preserving environmental resources, and strengthening community participation in rural development. Furthermore, digital promotion, stakeholder collaboration, innovation in tourism-based agricultural products, and supportive government policies are identified as critical factors influencing the successful implementation of agroecotourism. The study concludes that agroecotourism represents a sustainable development strategy capable of integrating economic, environmental, and social objectives while enhancing the competitiveness and long-term resilience of rural agribusiness. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, rural entrepreneurs, and researchers in designing integrated rural development policies that support sustainable agribusiness transformation.
