Abstract

This study investigates the influence of TikTok Shop live streaming, discount promotions, and free shipping offers on the purchasing decisions of Skintific skincare products among university students. Given the increasing use of social media platforms for e-commerce, particularly TikTok, live streaming has emerged as an interactive marketing strategy. A quantitative research approach was used, with survey data collected from university students, who were chosen due to their familiarity with technology and diverse skincare needs. Multiple regression analysis was employed to determine the impact of each independent variable on purchasing decisions. The findings indicate that live streaming and free shipping significantly influence consumers' decisions to purchase Skintific skincare, while discount promotions do not have a significant effect. The results suggest that interactive and engaging live streaming content, as well as free shipping, are effective in driving purchases, whereas discounts may not always lead to increased consumer interest. These findings provide practical insights for marketers to prioritize engaging live streaming and strategic free shipping offers while reconsidering the role of discounts

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze and explain the impact of urban development on public health with a focus on Bandung City, as well as the importance of health performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of urban health service delivery systems. Health performance indicators, such as mortality rates, morbidity rates, birth rates, and life expectancy, are critical in evaluating the success of health policies as well as identifying areas that need more attention. In Bandung City, despite an increase in population, the number of health service centers remains stagnant, leading to an imbalance between population growth and health service capacity. The research method used was mixed methods with descriptive statistical analysis from the Central Bureau of Statistics and in-depth interviews with informants from the Health Office and the community. The results showed that the imbalance between population growth and health service provision is a major challenge. Furthermore, performance evaluation with an appropriate measurement framework allows the identification of achievements, shortcomings, and challenges faced. Policy adaptation and strengthened cross-sector coordination have been shown to improve the health system's ability to respond to changing external conditions. Efforts to improve institutional capacity and appropriate resource allocation have led to improved efficiency and effectiveness of health management. In conclusion, the performance of health services in Bandung City has experienced complex dynamics but shows a trend of continuous improvement. Nevertheless, continuous monitoring and strategic interventions are still needed to maintain and improve the quality of health services in the future. Therefore, this study suggests the development of a longitudinal data-based performance evaluation model, strengthening the capacity of human resources in the health sector, and conducting interdisciplinary studies on socio-economic factors and public health behavior should be conducted to achieve more inclusive and sustainable development goals, in line with the SDGs, particularly SDG 3rd and SDG 11th.

Abstract

Unemployment is a social problem that hinders economic growth, including in Bali Province. A high unemployment rate has implications for low-income regions. This study aims to analyze the determinants that affect Bali's unemployment rate via projected population indicators, average length of schooling, and life expectancy. The quantitative method was used to examine secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency. The data were analyzed via multiple linear regression. The results show that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the increase in population projections, average length of schooling, and life expectancy directly affected the unemployment rate, with an effect size of 89.3%. Furthermore, simultaneous testing revealed an impact between these three indicators and the unemployment rate in Bali during 2020, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a probability of 0.000. In contrast to the partial results, we found that the unemployment rate was affected only by an increase in the projected population. In contrast, the average length of schooling and life expectancy did not have a direct influence. Thus, the unemployment rate in Bali can be lowered via relevant indicators that local governments and policymakers can evaluate. The synergy of other indicators must be applied to further identify determinants.

Abstract

N’gumbo, a dialect of Bemba, is predominantly spoken in the Luapula and Copperbelt provinces of Zambia. This dialect is characterized by various types of nicknames that reflect its speakers' shared experiences, values, and beliefs. This study aims to analyze the morphological structures of selected nicknames within the N’gumbo dialect. Using a sample of 60 nicknames gathered through document analysis, interviews, and self-introspection, the study demonstrates that these nicknames exhibit distinct morphological structures primarily influenced by the morphology of Bantu languages. The analysis identifies several structures, including: stem only, prefix, stem with a final vowel, root with a final vowel, and combinations of prefixes and stems. Additionally, the study recognizes structures related to denominals, deverbals, and de-adjectival forms. Furthermore, some nicknames were found to be neologisms (newly created terms) or derived from loanwords. The study involved eight (8) participants to gather nicknames and their meanings, alongside insights from one of the researchers, who is a speaker of the dialect. The analysis was anchored in lexical morphology, allowing for the segmentation of nicknames as lexemes of the dialect, thus facilitating a clearer analysis and interpretation of the data.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges faced by the Islamic Unity Student Association (HIMA PERSIS) in promoting sustainability and intellectual development within Islamic organizations in Indonesia. The research employs qualitative methodology through literature study analysis of primary sources about HIMA PERSIS and secondary sources about related organizations. The results reveal four major challenges: the dichotomy between religious and worldly knowledge, contradictions between service and cadre welfare in research activities, internal feudalism as a crisis obstacle, and the impact of stigma and stereotypes on collaboration and innovation. The findings suggest that HIMA PERSIS faces significant organizational coordination issues, resource limitations, and struggles in balancing traditional Islamic values with modern academic demands, while its implementation of the ulul albab concept remains underdeveloped within the organization's framework.
