Jurnal Manajemen dan Organisasi merupakan media publikasi ilmiah yang memuat artiket-artikel; di bidang manajemen dan organisasi dengan ruang lingkup manajemen pemasaran, keuangan, sumber daya manusia dan operasi. Jurnal Manajemen dan Organisasi didedikasikan untuk menumbuhkan kreasi pertukaran ide antara akademisi, kalangan industri atau bisnis praktis, dan institusi pemerintah dalam bidang manajemen dan organisasi. Jurnal ini diterbitkan tiga kali dalam setahun, yaitu bulan April, Agustus, dan Desember. Artikel yang dimuat dalam jurnal ini mengedepankan analisis objektif terhadap kasus manajemen dan organisasi dalam perspektif akademik berupa hasil penelitian di bidang manajemen dan organisasi dalam perpektif akademik berupa hasil penelitian di bidang manajemen dan review terhadap konsep manajemen baru maupun implementasi konsep manajemen dengan studi literatur. Redaksi menerima naskah dari berbagai pihak untuk dimuat pada jurnal ini. Naskah yang masuk harus mengikuti Format Penulisan Naskah Jurnal Manajemen dan organisasi.

Abstract

Beban kerja sangat penting bagi sebuah perusahaan.Dengan pemberian beban kerja yang efektif perusahaan dapat mengetahui sejauh mana karyawannya dapat diberikan beban kerja yang maksimal dan sejauh mana pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja perusahaan itu sendiri.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh beban kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan Bank Rakyat Indonesia (persero) Tbk Cabang Krekot. Data diperoleh dari 127 responden, uji chi square digunakan untuk mengetahui sikap responden terhadap variabel beban kerja dan kinerja berdasarkan faktor demografik. Hasil uji chi square menunjukan adanya perbedaan sikap berdasarkan demografik responden. Hasil analisis rank spearman menunjukan bahwa variabel beban kerja memiliki korelasi dengan variabel kinerja, sementara untuk sub variabel lainnya saling memiliki korelasi namun tingkat korelasinya rendah. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh beban kerja terhadap kinerja kerja karyawan Bank Rakyat Indonesia Cabang Krekot digunakan teknik analisis statistika Structural Equation Modelling berbasis variance dengan Metode Partial Least Square (PLS), hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa beban kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan secara langsung terhadap kinerja Karyawan BRI Cabang Krekot pada tingkat signifikansi 5% (p = 0.10882), maka hipotesis awal terima Ho dengan t hitung 13.45 lebih besar dari t tabel 1.96Kata kunci: beban kerja, kinerja karyawan, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (persero) Tbk, pengaruh, cabang krekot

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi konsumen terhadap keputusan pembelian green product hunian; 2) Mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi preferensi konsumen keputusan pembelian green product hunian; 3) Menganalisis pengaruh persepsi konsumen dan preferensi keputusan pembelian green product hunian. Data yang diperoleh dari 151 responden dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok penghuni dan kelompok non penghuni. Dalam penelitian ini, dikembangkan model dengan 30 indikator (27 indikator eksogen, 3 indikator endogen). Data dianalisis dengan Analisis Partial Least Square menggunakan program SmartPLS. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah variabel produk, fasilitas, citra pengembang, metode pembayaran dan lingkungan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian green product hunian, sementara variabel harga, promosi, dan faktor sosial tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan.Kata kunci :           keputusan pembelian, partial least square, persepsi konsumen, preferensi konsumen, produk ramah lingkungan

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain influence of conflict management strategy on teamwork performance. This kind of conflict can happen to everyone and in any places disregarding status, income and position. Someone who can not manage conflicts will have a threat for his personal performance, and unfortunately, company’s performance will also gain the effect. Accordingly, we need a strategy to manage  conflicts as an effort to create a good performance for individual employee performance as well as tha team performance. The population af this research is the entire educational employees in UNNES by taking some samples using propotional sampling to around 88 samples. The result of this research  proves that hypothesis stating “conflict management strategy” influenced positively and significantly on teamwork performance is accepted. This explains that conflict management strategy can give contribution to the teamwork performance through employee’s ability to accomodate ideas from partners of work, avoid disputes by respecting each other, maintaining communication and conduct colaboration on working methods. It is suggested that this research should improve strategies in managing conflicts such as strategies to compete at work by giving chance to other partner to use theirs skill in making decision and finding solution to solve the job.Keywords: conflict management strategy, teamwork’s performance, educational employee

Abstract

The company operational activities are performed with the purpose to maximize shareholder values; however, the company's activities have impacts on environment, social, economiy and community. In order to comply with the government regulation, companies must conduct Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), because investors are more interested in companies which have a good image in the community. This leads to make consumer loyalty higher and subsequently increases the company's profitability and company's stock values. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of CSR disclosure on Corporate Financial Performance (CFP) and stock prices. This study used 20 samples of property companies in the Indonesia’s Stock Exchange selected by purposive sampling. Data were processed and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with software smartPLS. This research shows that valid indicators measure CSR at property sector include environment, human rights and society. A valid indicator measuring financial performance construct is only Market Value Added (MVA) and stock return is the valid indicator to measure stock price construct. The hypothesis test shows that CSR disclosure had significant effect on CFP, but the CSR disclosure had no significant effects on stock price, and CFP had no significant effects on stock prices.Keywords : corporate social responsibility, financial performance, stock price, property sector

Abstract

In order to achieve positive performance growth in this era of global competition, Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) must have sustainable competitive advantages. Competitive advantages can be obtainedif SME have Valuable, Rare, Inimitable and Non-substitutable (VRIN) resources. Therefore this research aimed to study the effects of VRIN resources to competitive advantages and performance. The subjects of this study was 187 SMEs listed in Cooperation Office and SME of Medan. Using path analysis, the obtained result shows that rareness gave direct effects to performance and in-immitable gave indirect effects to performance through competitive advantages as intervening.Keywords: VRIN, competitive advantage, performance, small medium enterprises

Abstract

Various changes in the strategic environment have forced the public sector to make bureaucratic reform that should have consequences on changing the bureaucratic culture in the public sectorsto be more externally oriented culture. Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) is an internal control government agency that should change the organizational culture. The needsforexternally oriented culture was now even stronger in line with the shift in the role from watchdog to become in-house consultant. Therefore, this study aims to analyze organizational culture changes and identify the factors that cause or inhibit changes. This study used competing values framework, a method that is able to capture the changes of organizational cultures, both large and direction. The research result showed that organizational culture has been transformed from hierarchy culture to market culture. These changes indicatedthe organizational culture has been changed in accordance with the concept of bureaucratic reform. However, the changes in organizational culture were not significant. Employee resistance and the policy of change that is not the same in all aspects of organizational were known as the factors inhibiting organizational culture changes.Key word: bureaucratic reform, competing values framework, organizational change, organizational culture, public sector

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effects of open distance learning service quality dimensions consisting of  the way of learning, tutoring and teaching, modules, student services, programs of study, tuition and fees, physical facilities to student satisfaction and the behavioral intentions of completing the study at Universitas Terbuka (UT). Thisresearch analysis unitswere the students of the Faculty of Economic, Universitas Terbuka (FEKON-UT) who registeredin 2012with a population of 2085 people. The method of sample selection was convenience samplingmethod to the college students who have taken at least one semester. The data were analyzed from 161 respondents spread in 7 UPBJJ-UTthroughout Indonesia with a certain proportion. To obtain the data, this study used survey methods of primary data and secondary data. Analysis tool to test the hypothesis is a structural equation modelling (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS). The finding of this studywere the significance effects on :1) the quality of services to satisfaction of students; 2) the quality of services to the intention of completing studying at UT; and 3) student satisfaction to the intention of completing college at UT.Keywords: service quality, student satisfaction, open distance learning, intention to finish college

Abstract

The main sectors (industries producing raw materials) of Indonesian Stock Exchange consist of agriculture and mining sectors. The number of primary sector companies listed in LQ45 tend to decrease in each period. Companies included into LQ45 are those with relatively good performance. On the other hand,the proper capital structure policy can optimize the performance of finance companies. The purposes of this research are: 1) to analyze capital structure of the main sector companies; 2) to analyze financial performance of the main sector companies; 3) to analyze theinfluence of capital structure on financial performance of the main sector companies. This research uses primary data from 2009-2013 sector companies with sample selection purposive of sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling. Debt to Assets Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, andLong Term Debt to Equity Ratio are the loading factors of latent capital structure. Current Ratio, Quick Ratio, and Cash TurnoverRatio are the loading factors of latent liquidity. Profit Margin, Return on Asset, and Return on Equity are the loading factors of latent profitability. Assets Turnover Ratio, Inventory Turnover Ratio, and Working Capital Turnover Ratio are the loading factors of latent activity. Price Earning Ratiois a loading factor of latent market value. The results show that capital structure has positive and significant effects on activity, negative but not significant effects on liquidity, and significantly negative effects on profitability, but no effect on market value.Keywords: activity, capital structure, liquidity, market value, profitability

Abstract

PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Branch Bandung Noodle Division is a company that realizes the importance of work culture and commitment. It is proven by the work culture that the company have implemented in order to guarantee better quality work result, and increase the satisfaction of employees’ work.The objectives of this study are 1) identifying the work culture at PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Branch Bandung Noodle Division; 2) identifying work commitments on PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Branch Bandung Noodle Division; and 3) analyzing the influence of work culture with respect to the commitment of employees in PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Branch Bandung Noodle Division. This research shows that Noodle Divsion of the company in Bandung applies excellent work culture and the employees commit. The work culture that is based on excellent, discipline, integrity, innovative, and respect gives positive and significant impacts on employees’ commitment, while unity doesn’t give significant impact on employees’ commitment.Keyword: work culture, employee commitment, PT Indofood CBP Prosperous Successes Tbk Bandung branch division of the noodle

Abstract

Banking regulations required banks to manage their capital structure well, including those related to  managerial ownership, funding and dividend policies. The primary objective of this research is to analyze the influence of managerial ownership on policies of funding and dividend. By using data of 22 banking companies listed at JSX for the period 2008-2012, we find that managerial ownership is not significantly influence funding policy. On the other hand, it negatively and significantly influences dividend policy. Keywords : banking, dividend policy, funding policy, managerial ownership
