Abstract

Simple robotics training at SD Kanisius Beji, Playen, Gunung Kidul, was carried out as an effort to build students' interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning. The lack of exposure of students to technology and engineering is the background to the importance of this activity. The community service method used includes direct training in assembling and programming simple robots, involving students in grades IV to VI. The results of the training showed an increase in students' interest and understanding of STEM concepts, with 85% of students successfully completing the task of assembling the robot independently. This activity also improved students' critical and collaborative thinking skills. In conclusion, this simple robotics training is effective in introducing students to the basics of STEM and has the potential to be applied more widely in the elementary education curriculum

Abstract

The Community Service (PkM) program titled Optimization of Curriculum Synchronization and Development at SMK Bhina Karya Karanganyar: Efforts to Align Graduates with Industry Needs aims to bridge the gap between the curriculum taught in vocational schools (SMK) and the demands of the industrial world, particularly in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This Workshop was held on July 3, 2024, involving all teachers from SMK Bhina Karya Karanganyar, as well as academics, practitioners, and industry representatives. The Workshop successfully deepened participants' understanding of the importance of curriculum synchronization through expert presentations that addressed industry-oriented curriculum development and the challenges faced by schools. Evaluation results showed that 85% of participants found this activity highly beneficial in enhancing their understanding of the curriculum development process relevant to industry needs. Group discussions identified several challenges, such as limited access to technology and industry involvement in curriculum development. However, strengthening the link and match program between schools and industries through internships, strategic partnerships, and teacher training was considered a potential solution. As a follow-up, the PkM team from Universitas Surakarta will assist in drafting relevant curriculum documents and training teachers, while also exploring partnerships with local industries to support student internship programs. With this curriculum synchronization, it is expected that SMK Bhina Karya Karanganyar graduates will be better prepared to meet the ever-evolving needs of the industry

One effort that can be made to improve people's health through traditional methods is by consuming honey and ginger. Temulawak is a traditional medicine that can increase and improve appetite. Honey has high levels of glucose and fructose which facilitate absorption in the small intestine and stimulate digestion to work better. Giving honey and ginger together regularly can potentially increase appetite or appetite so that food is fulfilled and weight gain occurs. The implementation method used in this activity is the RRA (Rapid Rural Appraisal) method. Respondents' knowledge regarding the benefits and methods of processing cookies and jelly candy (gummy) increased by 85%, 80% of respondents liked cookies and 85% of respondents liked gummy made from ginger extract and honey. It is hoped that this activity can be implemented by administrators and orphanage children so that it can increase children's appetite

Abstract

The majority of residents in Suruh Village, Karanganyar Regency work as farm laborers, farmers, breeders and traders. Farmers are starting to have difficulties due to the lack of supply of chemical fertilizers. It turns out that climate change is increasingly extreme, one of the triggering factors is the high levels of substances that are still present in livestock waste, so efforts need to be made to process them. Farmers who do not understand the process of making organic fertilizer, fermented hay and cow candy hope that someone will help to deal with this long-standing problem. Mounting livestock waste and unprocessed dry straw have the potential to become problems in the future. The Uniba Surakarta PKM team with the 2024 PKM grant is trying to help provide solutions to existing problems with training and practice in making organic fertilizer, fermented straw and cow candy. It is hoped that after this activity is completed, the community around the village will be able to process cattle, goat and straw waste so that it has more nutritional value as well as cow candy to increase the strength of the cow's activities. Group members who have been trained will be given bacterial material so they can practice it at home and start applying the results to their plants and livestock, cattle and goat

Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) cases in Indonesia increase in 2023 according to information from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.1 Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that causes infection in leukocytes and can make the human immune system decrease. Meanwhile, Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is the progression of the HIV infection stage. AIDS is a collection of several disease symptoms caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Antiretrovirals (ARVs) are drugs that can suppress the development of the HIV virus. The increase in HIV/AIDS cases also has an impact on the problem of adherence to taking antiretrovirals (ARVs) in People Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Adherence here means that PLWHA must take their medication with the right dose, the right rules of use and routinely take it every day on time. The necessity of PLWHA to take ARVs aims to suppress the number of viruses in the body. The rule of taking medication for life is a challenge for PLWHA. Adherence to antiretroviral treatment is the key to successful treatment in PLWHA. The purpose of this literature search is to find out the description of ODHIV compliance in various health care facilities both at Primary Health Care Facilities and Advanced Health Care Facilities and to find out what factors affect PLWHA adherence. A literature search was conducted on Google Scholar and Pubmed databases. Literature inclusion criteria were articles published in the last ten years, articles with interventions and articles without interventions that examined PLWHA adherence, factors affecting adherence. There where ten journal from the journal search and met the inclusion criteria
