Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau efektivitas penerapan Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) berbasis web di perguruan tinggi melalui studi literatur terhadap berbagai penelitian dalam lima tahun terakhir (2019–2024). Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik tinjauan pustaka dari berbagai artikel jurnal yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa SIAKAD memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi layanan akademik, transparansi data, serta kepuasan pengguna. Faktor kualitas sistem, kualitas informasi, dan pengalaman pengguna menjadi indikator utama keberhasilan implementasi, sebagaimana dijelaskan dalam model DeLone & McLean dan pengukuran usability seperti SUS dan UEQ. Namun demikian, tantangan seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur, kesiapan sumber daya manusia, dan kualitas layanan teknis masih menjadi kendala dalam penerapan optimal. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan sistem ke depan perlu mempertimbangkan aspek teknis, edukasi pengguna, dan peningkatan antarmuka untuk mencapai digitalisasi pendidikan tinggi yang efektif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the impact of Geographic Information System (GIS) implementation in natural resource management and disaster risk mitigation in natural disaster-prone areas. Using a case study approach in several disaster-prone areas in Indonesia, this research analyses how GIS can improve the efficiency of disaster risk mapping, natural resource management, and more sustainable spatial planning. Qualitative methods were used, including in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs) and participatory observation to analyse GIS implementation, technical challenges and cross-sector collaboration. The results showed that GIS improved the accuracy of risk mapping, accelerated disaster response from >72 hours to <24 hours, and strengthened data-driven decision-making. However, constraints such as limited technological infrastructure, human resource capacity, and budget are still major challenges. This research suggests the need for close collaboration between the government, research institutions and the private sector, as well as improved technical training for policy makers to utilise GIS effectively. In the future, exploring the integration of GIS with artificial intelligence and blockchain technology could improve the efficiency and transparency of disaster management.

Abstract

The research on the decision-making system for selecting prospective village officials at the Ndara Mane village office using the AHP method has yielded valuable results. Currently, the village head still relies on manual methods for screening prospective officials, which involves reviewing documents like applications and resumes. Unfortunately, there is evidence of fraud in the selection process, with priority given to individuals who have personal relationships with existing village officials or the village head. A decision-making system is crucial in effectively and efficiently resolving problems by selecting alternative actions. The AHP method, which evaluates and makes decisions based on multiple criteria, can help facilitate and resolve complex issues in the selection process. Additionally, a personnel management information system has been implemented in BKPSDM Southwest Sumba Regency to integrate employee data, such as education, rank, and class information. This system plays a vital role in viewing, adding, changing, and deleting employee data. The purpose of this research is to effectively utilize the decision-making system and personnel management information system to improve the selection process of prospective officials.

Abstract

Bawang merah merupakan komoditas pertanian strategis di Indonesia, terutama di Kabupaten Brebes sebagai produsen utama. Namun, produktivitasnya sering menurun akibat serangan penyakit jamur, bakteri, virus, dan nematoda, seperti Alternaria porri, Fusarium oxysporum, dan Onion Yellow Dwarf Virus, yang menyebabkan kerugian ekonomi hingga 50%. Petani di Brebes masih mengandalkan identifikasi visual yang rentan kesalahan karena kemiripan gejala antarpenyakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem deteksi dini penyakit bawang merah berbasis Android dengan mengintegrasikan metode K-Means untuk segmentasi citra bawang merah dan Gabor Filter untuk ekstraksi fitur tekstur. Data citra daun bawang merah yang terinfeksi dikumpulkan dari Kecamatan Bulakamba, Kabupaten Brebes, lalu diproses melalui tahap preprocessing, segmentasi warna, ekstraksi tekstur, dan klasifikasi. Hasil uji akurasi sistem mencapai 80%, menunjukkan efektivitas metode ini dalam membedakan penyakit berdasarkan pola warna dan tekstur daun. Implementasi aplikasi mobile diharapkan dapat membantu petani melakukan diagnosa cepat dan mengambil tindakan mitigasi, sehingga mengurangi kehilangan hasil panen. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada presisi pertanian dengan memanfaatkan teknologi image processing yang terjangkau dan adaptif terhadap kondisi lapangan.

Abstract

As a reason for research based on the author's interview with one of the Special Assistant Teachers (GPK) of SLB B Tunas Harapan Karawang on Friday, November 10 2023, it was said that Deaf students experienced several obstacles in the areas of socialization, social interaction, communication and cooperation because they were still minimal in vocabulary, Difficulty interpreting words or sentences that contain figurative meaning, and Difficulty interpreting abstract words. The aim of the research is to make things easier when individuals experience limitations in communication, in this case they have problems with hearing abilities or are deaf, which creates their own obstacles to carrying out the social interaction process. The research method or approach based on previous researchers carried out on the ASL language translation system is that it is able to display letters resulting from data processing in the system onto an LCD contained in the 1Sheeld application. The research results are to find out the implementation of Speech-to-Text Software, how to initialize and record sound, testing variations in speaking speed, configuring the Speech-to-Text program with Raspberry Pi, testing the Speech-to-Text system, and implementing hardware in the Speech-to-Text subsystem. The conclusion of this research is to answer the problems faced by Deaf students at SLB B Tunas Harapan Karawang in communicating with normal people.

Abstract

Keandalan sistem informasi merupakan faktor penting dalam keberhasilan implementasi teknologi untuk pemantauan capaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) di tingkat desa. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi keandalan sistem dashboard monitoring SDGs Desa yang dikembangkan menggunakan pendekatan Hybrid Waterfall-Scrum. Pengujian dilakukan untuk mengukur ketahanan sistem saat menghadapi beban tinggi melalui simulasi beban yang meniru aktivitas pengguna nyata. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mempertahankan waktu respons yang cepat dan stabil, dengan mayoritas permintaan diproses dalam waktu kurang dari satu detik meskipun terjadi lonjakan beban. Manajemen koneksi dan keamanan komunikasi juga berjalan efisien, dengan durasi TLS handshake yang rendah dan jumlah koneksi TCP yang terkelola dengan baik. Sistem menunjukkan ketahanan yang memadai dalam menjaga performa selama kondisi beban berat, menjadikannya solusi yang andal untuk pemantauan SDGs di tingkat desa. Saran pengembangan lebih lanjut meliputi optimalisasi penanganan beban puncak dan pengembangan sistem monitoring real-time.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of Management Information Systems (MIS) in improving the quality of education. The research method employed is a literature review with a qualitative analysis approach. The data collected includes scholarly articles, books, and research reports related to MIS and educational quality. The findings indicate that MIS implementation has been effectively executed in various educational institutions. The use of data management applications such as Dapodik and information technology within MIS supports the learning process, enhances efficiency and effectiveness in educational data collection, and facilitates teaching practices utilizing technological infrastructure. The analysis revealed that a universal information system model enables objective evaluation results, allows for the adjustment of evaluation criteria parameters and complexity, and determines the value and importance of parameters. Moreover, the implementation of integrated management information systems assists in decision-making to improve school quality and educational services. The conclusion of this research shows that MIS plays a crucial role in enhancing educational quality through effective data management, facilitating teaching practices, and increasing efficiency in data collection and processing. Thus, MIS can be considered a key strategy for improving overall educational quality

Abstract

The advancement of mobile technology has significantly contributed to various industries, including the oil and gas industry. In this context, mobile applications have become extremely useful tools for facilitating the planning and execution of oil well drilling operations. This study explores the design and implementation of a Mobile Application for Drill Assembly Offset Calculation based on Android. This application aims to provide an easy-to-use and efficient solution for engineers and technicians involved in oil well drilling. The main features of this application include offset calculations to align drilling equipment with the targeted well, accurate calculations to minimize risks and enhance operational efficiency, and intuitive data visualization. Through the integration of mobile technology, users can quickly access and utilize this tool in the field, reducing dependence on specialized hardware and increasing flexibility. Thus, it is hoped that this application can improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of oil well drilling operations, and contribute positively to overall industry productivity.

Abstract

Vocational schools are high schools based on hard skills, including SMK NW Korleko. As the number of students increases, it becomes difficult for schools to manage data on students who register, and making reports takes a long time. When accepting new students, the school still uses a manual system: prospective students fill out a paper form. Based on the problems faced, this research aims to help schools manage student data while admitting new students using the website. The method used in this research is the waterfall method, which has sequential stages, namely needs analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance. Meanwhile, the programming language for building the system uses PHP, and the DBMS uses MySQL, which is compatible with developing website-based applications. The results of this research are in the form of a web-based information system for new student admissions, which can help make it easier for students to register and for schools to carry out new student admission activities online.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) plays a crucial role in modern agriculture, particularly through digital image processing that enhances efficiency and accuracy in decision-making. This research focuses on the development of a deep learning- based dragon fruit ripeness detection application using the YOLOv8 algorithm. The dragon fruit produced from the Hylocereus and Selenicereus cacti has high economic value, but it requires proper post-harvest detection. The manual process of determining the ripeness of dragon fruit is often inaccurate and time-consuming, making AI-based solutions essential. The YOLOv8 algorithm, known for its ability to detect objects in real-time with high accuracy, is implemented in this application to classify the ripeness of dragon fruit. This research successfully designed a system capable of accurately detecting the ripeness of dragon fruit using the Yolo Algorithm. (You Only Look Once). The designed web application provides an intuitive user interface that makes it easy for users to make real-time decisions through internet-connected devices. By simplifying the maturity determination process, this solution can help accelerate the assessment and sorting of dragon fruit maturity.
