Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Aceh Regional Budget (APBA) and Economic Growth of Aceh Province (PEPA) on the poverty rate in Aceh Province during the period 2005–2024. Using a multiple linear regression method, the findings indicate that APBA has a negative and significant effect on the poverty rate, with a coefficient of -1.69 and a p-value < 0.01. This result suggests that every 1 trillion rupiah increase in regional spending has the potential to reduce the poverty rate by 1.69%, especially when allocated to strategic sectors such as education, health, and infrastructure. In contrast, PEPA does not show a significant impact on the poverty rate (p = 0.745; coefficient = -0.086), reinforcing findings in the literature that economic growth is not always inclusive and tends to overlook poor groups if not accompanied by equitable income distribution. This study underscores the importance of well-targeted public spending in alleviating poverty and the need to shift focus from aggregate economic growth toward more inclusive and equitable development strategies.

Abstract

Critical thinking is not a skill that develops on its own. This ability must be cultivated through activities that encourage individuals to think critically. Schools, as educational institutions, have a responsibility to help students develop critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity of the developed critical-thinking-oriented textbook on energy crisis threats for IPAS Phase C in primary schools and to describe teacher and student responses regarding the practicality of this textbook. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with both quantitative and qualitative analysis. Data collection instruments included questionnaires, checklists, and interview guidelines. The study resulted in the development of a critical-thinking-oriented textbook on energy crisis threats for IPAS Phase C. The material validation score was 90.62, categorized as highly valid; the language validation score was 85, also highly valid; and the design validation score was 90, categorized as highly valid. Furthermore, the practicality response questionnaires yielded scores of 93.57 from students and 95.14 from teachers, both categorized as highly practical.

Abstract

Sexual crimes against children are serious violations of human rights and dignity that have long-term physical, psychological, and social impacts. In this context, legal protection of children is an urgent imperative. This study aims to analyze the concept of legal protection for children victims of sexual crimes from the perspective of Islamic law, as well as its relevance to the national legal system in Indonesia. The method used is qualitative research with a normative-juridical approach through literature studies on fiqh literature, the Qur’an, hadith, and laws and regulations. The results of the study show that the principles of Islamic law contained in maq??id al-syar?’ah, such as the protection of the soul (?if? al-nafs), reason (?if? al-’aql), and heredity (?if? al-nasl), expressly emphasize the protection of children from sexual crimes. In addition, the Islamic legal system is not only repressive against the perpetrators, but also emphasizes restoration and justice for the victims. This study concludes that the integration of Islamic legal principles into the national legal system can strengthen child protection in a holistic and equitable manner.

Abstract

This research analyzes Indonesia's pilgrimage administration from the perspective of strategic economic diplomacy. Indonesia, the most populous Muslim-majority nation, holds a distinctive role in the global pilgrimage sphere, administering the highest yearly Hajj quota. The Hajj, though a religious duty, is administered in Indonesia in a manner that extends beyond spiritual aspects, intertwining with economic, political, and diplomatic considerations. This research employs a descriptive-qualitative methodology, utilizing Miles and Huberman's analysis, to investigate the evolution of pilgrimage services into a substantial economic sector that creates employment, invigorates regional economies, and promotes bilateral collaboration. The Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) is pivotal in directing substantial religious donations into national development initiatives. Nonetheless, intersecting restrictions, operational inefficiencies, and ethical dilemmas expose systemic constraints. The results underscore how Hajj governance embodies Indonesia's overarching diplomatic aspirations, especially in utilizing religio-cultural capital for foreign policy and economic strategy. This research enhances scholarship by reconceptualizing Hajj management as a tool of economic diplomacy rather than simply a logistical-religious duty. It emphasizes the necessity for open, ethical, and innovative governance to augment Indonesia’s soft power while guaranteeing equitable and spiritually enriching pilgrimage experiences.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation and effectiveness of the accelerated Qur'an reading program at SD Negeri 19 Sabang, which has been running since 2012. The program aims to improve students' Qur'anic reading skills, reinforce religious character, and instill Islamic values from an early age. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving teachers, students, school principals, and parents. Findings reveal that the program is implemented systematically through methods such as talaqqi, drilling, and audiovisual aids, integrated into daily learning activities. Most students showed significant progress in reading fluency (fashahah), proper pronunciation (makharijul huruf), and understanding of tajwid rules. The success of the program is supported by teacher commitment, parental involvement, and varied learning methods. However, the study also notes challenges such as inconsistent reading practice among students and differences in initial reading ability. The program proves to be a promising model for holistic religious education, though it requires sustained guidance and support to achieve consistent outcomes.

Abstract

Agrarian disputes in Indonesia are still a complex problem that has a direct impact on social inequality and legal uncertainty, including in Aceh Besar District. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of land tenure and utilization which are the roots of agrarian conflict in the region. The approach used is qualitative with a case study method, through field observations, in-depth interviews with communities, local government, legal officials, and the private sector, as well as analysis of legal documents and land policies. The results show that overlapping claims between customary and formal legal rights, weak legal protection of historically-based land tenure, and the dominance of economic interests in land use are the main causes of conflict. Available dispute resolution mechanisms have not been effective, both litigative and non-litigative, because they do not accommodate the root of the problem and tend to ignore participatory aspects. On the other hand, local institutions such as mukim and tuha peut have the potential to be key actors in conflict resolution, but have not received adequate regulatory support. This finding confirms the need for fairer and more inclusive agrarian policy reform, by encouraging harmonization between state law and customary law, community empowerment, and strengthening local institutions as a strategy for resolving agrarian conflicts in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The rise of social media has profoundly transformed how people interact, communicate, and construct their identities. However, this advancement has also triggered a spiritual crisis characterized by the weakening of religious awareness, increasing consumerism, and a materialistic orientation toward life. The rapid rise of social media has fundamentally reshaped human identity and triggered a contemporary spiritual crisis marked by increasing consumerism, moral decay, and fragmentation of religious consciousness. Using a library research method, this study examines relevant literature on Islamic education, social media, and modern spirituality. This article critically analyzes the challenges and opportunities for Islamic education in responding to this crisis. Drawing on literature, the study identifies that while Islamic education faces threats like moral degradation and spiritual alienation, social media offers strategic platforms for value-based da'wah.  Nevertheless, social media also provides strategic opportunities for Islamic education to serve as a platform for da'wah and value-based character formation. This paper argues that the spiritual crisis is conceptually linked to Zygmunt Bauman's theory of Liquid Modernity and proposes a reorientation model focusing on transformative pedagogy (from transfer of knowledge to tarbiyah ruhiyah). Integrating critical digital literacy, media ethics, and spiritual consciousness is essential to foster the insan kamil identity amidst digital complexity.

Abstract

The rapid digitalization has created an ethical vacuum in the Sharia economy, especially on social media platforms where the pursuit of profit often conflicts with Islamic values like ?idq (honesty) and amanah (trust). Current literature remains descriptive, lacking a robust Sociological or Applied Ethics framework to analyze this tension. This study performs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and an Integrative Thematic Analysis to examine the intersection between digital business practices and Islamic ethical standards. It specifically aims to construct a normative-analytical framework anchored in the concept of Maq??id al-Shar??ah (the objectives of Islamic law). The findings reveal that ethical deviations (e.g., halal-washing, consumer manipulation via algorithms) are common in the Digital Public Sphere. We propose that the Maq??id framework, particularly the safeguard of D?n (Religion) and M?l (Wealth), offers a critical lens to govern digital business conduct. This framework ensures that social media is utilized not merely for economic gain, but as an instrument of maslahah (public good) and Digital Da’wah. This study contributes significantly to the fields of Digital Ethics, Sociology of Religion, and Applied Islamic Economics by transforming abstract ethical principles into concrete, measurable standards for a sustainable and morally grounded Islamic digital economy.

Abstract

The transformation of Islamic education in the era of artificial intelligence (AI) opens up great opportunities to improve the quality, effectiveness, and relevance of learning. This article aims to examine in depth the potential, challenges, and ethical framework in the use of AI for Islamic education. Using the literature review method, various scientific literature is thematically analyzed to identify patterns, findings, and strategic recommendations. The results of the study show that AI is able to provide a more personalized, adaptive, and efficient learning experience through features such as chatbots, automated evaluations, and interactive learning. However, significant challenges also arise, including limited infrastructure, low digital competence of teachers, unprepared curriculum, and concerns about the degradation of human and spiritual values. The key findings of this article are that AI integration should be governed within an Islamic ethical framework centered on the principles of sharia maqashid, specifically hifz al-din (protection of religion) and hifz al-aql (protection of reason). This article contributes by offering a character-centric model of AI integration and positioning AI as a tool that is subject to humanist values, rather than as an essential substitute for the role of murabbi. A comprehensive strategy is needed, including curriculum reform, strengthening teacher competence, and ethical regulations based on local wisdom. This article offers a comprehensive technology integration strategy through curriculum updates, strengthening teachers' digital competencies, cross-sector collaboration, and the development of contextual Islamic learning content.
