Abstract

In this digital era, the use of YouTube video media in education sector becomes a need. Learning by using this media supplies a beneficial effect towards either the teacher or students. Researches related to using media in learning English language from year to year show the steady increase in an attempt to boost the students’ outcomes in English language skills. Yet, there has been found rarely the study exploring the EFL students’ perspectives on using the media in English learning. Therefore, it is critical to establish a study focusing on the EFL students’ perceptions towards the use of media particularly YouTube video media in learning English pronunciation. This study aims at exploring the EFL students’ perceptions towards the use of YouTube video media in learning English pronunciation whether positive or negative. This study employs a qualitative approach using questionnaire and observation sheet to 28 students of SMP 2 Mesjid Raya, Aceh. Therefore, based on the results of the questionnaire, it can be stated that the majority of students responded very positively to the use of YouTube-based video media. This is indicated by the high percentage of all statements on the aspects of students' interest in the use of the media in learning pronunciation. There is a positive significant result shown by the EFL students towards the use of YouTube video media in learning English pronunciation.

Abstract

Communication without logical fallacies is highly needed in the 21st century’s student’s skills. Many experts agreed that debate is an effective method to build students’ communication skills. The debate has now expanded from an ELT teaching method into a competitive platform to proliferate students’ critical thinking and communication. However, NUDC is one of the national scales of debate tournament that could represent the Indonesian students’ critical and communication skills. Considering that background in mind, this study was expected to identify the logical fallacies uttered by university students’ debate regarding gender issues. This study deployed a descriptive qualitative design. With a natural setting, the data were collected using the structured observation sheet in three phases, the debate observation without setting manipulation, the recorded debate was scripted and condensate, and analyzing the logical fallacies through the transcription. While the data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data condensation, and data conclusions. The data shows that there are seven logical fallacies uttered by the speakers in the debate about the gender issue. They are misleading euphemism, prejudicial language, an appeal to fear, an appeal to pity, straw man, hasty generalization, and a slippery slope. Besides, the speakers who uttered the logical fallacies were also presented.

Abstract

This research was conducted to see to what extent the success of online program and BDR to early childhood. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. The result revealed that teachers and parents are not completely able to accommodate the needs and the development of children, because not all of the developmenta spects could be tested through the assignment but also required routine habituation and a supportive environment. The parents also stated the dificulties in controlling the online learning, due several things such as the level of understanding in early childhood program, sometimes parents also need to control some online classes at the same time also because of parents’ busyness with another job including those parents who work outside of home. Three of six parents stated that difficulties in doing the activities based on the school curriculum demands, this is because the parents have different eaducational background with the teachers who already have enough competency in early childhood program. The parents usually will follow the teachers’ directions and even the children also not involved because of parents’ busyness and want to finish the assignment that given by the teacher to the children and sent back to the teacher based on the deadline that has been set. Based on the result of research towards the teachers stated that they have difficulty in applying learning from home system (BDR). In terms of parents, they also experience the same thing. Low the understanding of the children development make parents are difficult to do the activities that could stimulate all aspects of child development like the teachers did at school.

Abstract

Religious moderation in Islam is a middle attitude that is practiced in beliefs, attitudes, behavior and practices in religion. Religious moderation as mentioned in the Qur'an is the basis for the ummah to create peace, tolerance and justice in society. The research method used in this study is a literature review using the Tafsir Maudu'i approach. The meaning of religious moderation is explained in several languages with a focus on the meaning of words containing the concepts of moderation, balance and mediation in religious practice. Al-Qur'an verses that discuss religious moderation, such as QS. Al-Baqarah verse 143, QS. Al-Hujurat verse 13 and QS. Al-Baqarah verse 238, analyzed to understand the messages contained in it in order to understand the importance of maintaining balance in beliefs, attitudes and social interactions. The results of this research show that religious moderation is one of the important aspects in maintaining harmony and justice in society. By understanding and implementing the principle of moderation, religious communities can live side by side peacefully and respect differences.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of rice production, rice distribution, and government policies on rice prices in Southwest Aceh Regency. The method used in this study is quantitative using time series data for the period 2010-2020. The results of this study indicate that partially the variables of rice production and distribution have a negative and insignificant effect on rice prices in Southwest Aceh Regency, while government policies (rice prices) have a positive and significant effect on rice prices in Southwest Aceh Regency. Then the results simultaneously prove that the variables of rice production, rice distribution, and government policies have a positive and significant effect on rice prices in Southwest Aceh Regency. This study suggests that efforts should be made to modernize agriculture, improve infrastructure such as bridges, roads and irrigation to increase production and smooth distribution, and the role of government policies in maintaining stable rice prices in Southwest Aceh Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement in learning outcomes for class III students by implementing TPACK-based learning using basic science books. The research method used in this research is PTK (Classroom Action Research), this research was carried out in 2 cycles with a total of 33 students. Each cycle consists of action planning, observation, and reflection. The data collection technique uses tests, the data analysis technique used uses quantitative descriptive. Increasing student learning outcomes through TPACK-based learning has a positive impact or impact, which is shown by an increase from pre-cycle, cycle I to cycle II. Completeness of student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle was 30% or 10 students out of 33 students, cycle I was 51% or 17 students out of 33 students, cycle II was 91% or 30 students out of 33 students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation and implementation of inclusive education in SD Negeri 1 Karangwidoro, Malang Regency. Inclusion education seeks to provide equal opportunities for students with special needs to get an education. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach through interviews and direct observation. The subjects of this study are teachers, students with special needs, and observation of social interaction in inclusion classes. The results of this study show that SD Negeri 1 Karangwidoro has a commitment to provide inclusive education despite facing obstacles and obstacles. The biggest obstacles are the absence of accompanying teachers, the availability of infrastructure and facilities, and support from the government as well as the lack of public understanding of inclusive education. Social interaction between regular students and students with special needs shows a positive relationship. This study recommends an increase in teacher training, the provision of infrastructure, and support from the community and the relevant government. In addition, further research is expected to be able to examine more deeply the impact of inclusive education on the academic and social development of students with special needs.

Abstract

Bullying is rehashed forceful behavior that's intentioned done to harmed, mortify, or rule others physically, candidly, or rationally. There are numerous cases of bullying, particularly in Indonesia where 35% of them happen in schools, due to a few variables that cause it as well as the moo level of self-confidence of Indonesian children. This consider points to look at the impact between bullying on the advancement of self-confidence in understudies, particularly in review IV children at SDN 1 Gondanglegi. This investigate was conducted utilizing quantitative strategies by dispersing surveys to respondents who fit the investigate test criteria. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between emotional intelligence and the ability to work together in 2nd grade elementary school students. The approach used is quantitative with data collection through questionnaires to determine the emotional intelligence and cooperative ability of grade 2 elementary school students. The results of this study showed that there was a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and cooperation ability had a Pearson correlation = 0.335. However, the relationship between the two is not significant, as evidenced by the results of the linearity regression test of 0.081. Emotional intelligence can explain 11.2% variability in student cooperation. This research suggests the development of emotional intelligence in elementary school education to improve empathy, sympathy, and social skills. In addition, further research is recommended to examine other factors that affect students' ability to cooperate.

Abstract

One of the internal factors that determines the success or failure of the teaching and learning process is learning motivation. In teaching and learning activities, of course, learning styles are involved to motivate students to learn. This study aims to analyze the effect of auditory learning styles on the learning motivation of grade 6 students at MINU Romli Afifah, Tajinan Regency. The research method used in this study is quantitative using purposive sampling data collection techniques consisting of 24 students from grade 6. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between auditory learning styles on student learning motivation, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.313 and a significant value (p-value) of 0.059. This identifies that auditory learning styles are one of the factors that influence student learning motivation.
