Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a model of religious counseling based on local wisdom in reducing bullying behavior. This research is research development (Research & Development). The development model used is the ADDIE Model (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The results of the development were validated by 2 counseling experts in order to obtain validation and reliability of the local wisdom-based religious counseling model. Next, a limited trial was carried out through experiments on 10 (ten) bullying students. The instruments used were expert validation sheets, questionnaires about bullying behavior, and student response questionnaires about the local wisdom-based religious counseling they received. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the validation test by 2 (two) counseling experts were categorized as good (75%). Notes and suggestions for improvement include highlighting religious values and local wisdom and telling more folklore related to friendship. Furthermore, based on input and comments from the 2 counseling experts, a revision of the religious counseling model based on local wisdom was carried out in phase I. The implementation phase will end with an evaluation, namely revision in phase II. Based on the data from the trial results through experiments on bullying students, the result was a reduction in bullying behavior with a difference in pretest and posttest scores of 52%. Then tested through the Wilcoxon test, obtained a significant value of 0.005 less than 0.05, it means that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest values. Students' responses to the local wisdom-based religious counseling that they attended were generally categorized as fun, interesting, clear and easy to understand. Overall, it can be concluded that the developed local wisdom-based religious counseling model is able to reduce student bullying behavior.

Abstract

The research entitled "Violence Against Women in the Novel Women Preceding the Age by Khairul Jasmi: Sara Mills' Model". The problem examined in this study is how the position of the subject-object and the position of the reader in describing women in the novel Woman Yang Preceded by Khairul Jasmi. The purpose of this research is to describe, analyze, identify, interpret and conclude about the position of the subject-object and the position of the reader in describing women in Khairul Jasmi's novel Perempuan Yang Predating The Age. The results of this study are in the form of the position of the subject or narrator described in the novel Women Who Preceded the Age are Rahmah, Sa'adah, Upik Hitam, Jamilah, Niara and the position of the object or narrated are Minangkabau women, the events that occur in the novel are the descriptions of victims of acts of violence, injustice, and women's resistance, which in this case are women. The reader's position is included to feel what the character Rahmah feels, how she is worried about the fate of herself and the women in the Minangkabau area who often experience acts of violence.

Abstract

Women are often the object of study in literary works. This is based on the nature of women who tend to be unique and considered attractive, so that most authors choose the perspective of women in representing their works. This research is aimed to describe the image of Bataknese women, the domination of patriarchal culture experienced by Bataknese women, and the decisions women make regarding the treatment of patriarchal domination experienced in the novel Toba Dreams written by TB Silalahi. The research object used is the novel Toba Dreams by TB Silalahi. The research used three data collection techniques namely library techniques, listening or reading techniques, and note-taking techniques. Bataknese female characters in the Toba Dreams novel by TB Silalahi, namely Kristin Sujono, the wife of Sergeant Tebe, Opung Boru, the mother of Sergeant Tebe, Taruli, the daughter of Sergeant Tebe, and Andini, the daughter-in-law of Sergeant Tebe, are interesting things to discuss further. Abstract

The development of information and communication technology today makes it easier for someone to interact with other people. The current interaction process can be done through social media. But what has been found now is that social media is also abused by irresponsible parties by spreading hate speech. This study aims to describe the form and meaning of hate speech against Selebgram Chandrika Sari Jusman on Instagram social media. This research is a descriptive-qualitative research. The data collection method used is the method of observing and noting. The data analysis method in this study refers to the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that there were 25 assertive utterances, 15 directive utterances, 50 expressive utterances, and 10 declarative utterances. The most commonly found utterances are expressive utterances.

Abstract

Forever love"is a short story by Helvy Tiana Rosa that discusses women's struggles in social life. The aim is to describe the existence of women in the social system, family and environment. The method used in this study is descriptive analysis with a qualitative research type and an existential feminist approach. The data were obtained from excerpts from the short story "Forever Love". The research technique was carried out in stages, namely determining data sources, collecting data, and grouping data. Data analysis techniques were carried out in stages such as reducing research data, presenting research data, and concluding research data. Based on the research results, researchers can find that women are inspirational about love, friendship, and hard work.

Abstract

The diversity of languages in Indonesia has sundry errors such as gaps, errors in interpreting other languages, and others. It means, it also applies when in the process of learning foreign languages at school, especially English. Thus, learning English is difficult to build a positive spirit in learning, making students active and responsive in the learning process. Therefore, this study focuses on examining the types of code-switching and code-mixing in learning English in schools. This study uses a qualitative paradigm, using a descriptive case study type of research. Therefore, the researcher sets the goal to describe the data as it occurs in the phenomenon under study. This study is the occurrence of code-switching and code-mixing events in learning English at school. In this study, the researcher used guided semi structured interviewed as a data collection technique. The data from this study was analyzed based on the steps used, namely identifying the data, classifying the data, and describing the data according to the research objectives. The results of this study are the determinants of code-switching and code-mixing from teachers or students. Then, there are types of each between code-mixing and code-switching.

Abstract

This thesis aims to analyze the type and realization of Appraisal in the analysis of the content of the editorial texts of Dairi newspapers to find out the comparisons in each electronic newspaper by applying the three elements of Appraisal (attitude, positioning, and graduation). This research applies descriptive qualitative by using interactive model and document study as data collection. The data sources of this research are 20 phenomenal news texts from four different electronic newspapers and the data used in carrying out this research are the words, clauses contained in the text of the electronic newspaper. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the Appraisal contained in the editorial text of the regional electronic newspaper consisted of the engagement category with 97 clauses (29%), the judgment category with 94 clauses (28%), the appreciation category with 62 clauses (18%), the graduation category as much as 61 clauses (18%), and the last is the Affect category with 23 clauses (7%). Based on these findings, the subsystem that dominates the news text is the engagement subsystem.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of Leeuwen's inclusion theory in crime news with the theme of murder in the Online Tribun News.Com news. Data collection was carried out in three stages (1) reading and understanding the discourse on the theme of murder in the news Online Tribun News.Com with the aim of obtaining a clear understanding of the contents of the discourse to be studied, (2) marking parts of the discourse related to the theory of inclusion. Leeuwen, and (3) record sentences in discourse related to Leeuwen's inclusive theory by using a data recording format. Data analysis was carried out descriptively. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded, Leeuwen's inclusioan theory found in ten criminal news headlines with the theme of murder in the Online Tribun News.Com news is five of the seven existing theories, namely objectivity-abstraction, nomination-categorization, nomination-identification, assimilation individualization and associations-dissociations. So, it can be concluded that writing criminal news with the theme of killing journalists does not marginalize victims. In making news headlines, journalists still hide actors. Concealment of actors by journalists is done by using passive sentences in news headlines.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study using the subject of the film ILY From 38,000 Ft, directed by Asep Kusdinar and produced by Legaly Pictures, which aims to describe the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of the film. Data collection techniques use viewing techniques which are carried out by looking and listening carefully and repeatedly to the entire content of the film and documentation techniques are carried out by taking pictures (screenshots), cutting videos into the film. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of many films in Indonesia, 70% of which are based on or adapted from novels. The results of this research are the intrinsic and extrinsic elements contained in the film ILY From 38,000 Ft and the story depicted by the director ends with a happy ending.
