Abstract

Infrastructure is one of the most important pillars in the development of a civilization, especially for archipelagic countries like Indonesia, which faces unique geographical challenges. The gap in the implementation of Government and Business Entity Cooperation (KPBU) in infrastructure development in Indonesia has become an increasingly pressing issue to address. This research discusses the importance of regulatory renewal in Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) to address existing gaps. The research utilized various data sources, including legislative texts, government regulations, legal documents, and policy papers relevant to PPP in Indonesia. The analytical approach allowed for a deeper exploration of the dynamics and implications of the existing regulations, focusing on their effectiveness and applicability in real-world scenarios. The author was able to articulate the challenges faced in the application of PPP regulations and propose targeted recommendations for regulatory renewal and improvement. This study could involve comparative analyses of best practices in regulatory frameworks from other countries that have successfully addressed similar infrastructure challenges, providing valuable insights for the Indonesian context. Ultimately, this research could contribute to creating a more responsive and adaptive regulatory framework that supports sustainable and equitable infrastructure solutions in Indonesia, ensuring that the needs of society are met while fostering a conducive environment for investment.

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the critical need to update the provisions on departure prevention in Indonesia's Immigration Law, specifically addressing the legal uncertainty arising from the phrase "at any time" in Article 97 Paragraph (1), which has the potential to cause prevention without an exact time limit. The study utilized a qualitative approach, employing a combination of legal analysis and empirical observation. The case approach allowed the author to analyze court decisions or concrete cases related to departure prevention, providing insights into how these regulations were implemented in practice and their implications for individual rights. The analysis focused on the implications of these legal frameworks for individuals' rights and the effectiveness of departure prevention measures, drawing connections between legal norms and their practical outcomes. The research provides a foundation for further discussions on enhancing legal certainty and protecting individual rights within the immigration framework, thereby contributing to the overall improvement of the legal system in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the legal uncertainty arising from the implementation of Government Regulation No. 51 of 2020 concerning the change in passport validity from 5 years to 10 years, as well as the need for legal reform to address the issue. Legal uncertainty occurs due to the absence of clear implementing regulations, thus affecting the effectiveness of policy implementation in the field of immigration administration, including tariff adjustments and management of passport forms. The purpose of this study is to analyze the lack of clear implementing regulations and their impact on immigration administration, proposing solutions such as creating comprehensive guidelines, legal harmonization, and system updates to ensure policy execution. This research utilizes the normative method to analyze the legal uncertainty surrounding Government Regulation Number 51 of 2020 by examining the relevant legal standards. This study finds that the enactment of Government Regulation No. 51 of 2020 has created legal uncertainties, particularly regarding the transition for existing passports, fee adjustments, and administrative procedures. These ambiguities may disrupt immigration services and confuse both the public and immigration officers, calling for clear guidelines and implementing regulations to ensure the smooth execution of the policy. This study recommends legal reform by preparing comprehensive implementing regulations, harmonization with related laws, and updating the administrative system to support policy implementation. This study suggests a more adaptive legal framework and increases the capacity of technology and human resources to face future immigration challenges.

Abstract

Bank Maluku Malut (Malut) is a bank operating in the Malukuku region which also experiences "Non-Performing Loans (NPLs)" problems which can affect the bank's performance and financial health. This study tries to answer the topic of how bank health changes before and after credit restructuring as a form of implementation of OJK policies on the overall health of the bank using a statistical process. The data analysis method applied in measuring the health level of banks is through the use of the "RGEC (Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance, Earnings, and Capital)" method, where the data is analyzed quantitatively descriptively in evaluating the health levels of banks on each factor and its components. The results of the study show that the level of financial health of capital-based banking before and following credit restructuring varies. The level of health of banking is improving in line with credit restructuring. The findings of this study can inform policymakers and financial institutions about the effectiveness of credit restructuring strategies in maintaining bank health and enhancing compliance with regulatory frameworks. It also offers a framework for assessing the implications of similar policies in other banking contexts, potentially guiding future reforms and strategies in the industry.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to evaluate housing financing assistance policies for low-income people in the DKI Jakarta area. The research used a descriptive research design with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used was a mixed method through respondent questionnaire surveys, interviews, and literature studies. The sample in this study consisted of respondents who had received the benefits of housing funding assistance policies and those who had not. The results of this study show that the leveling in the evaluation of housing finance assistance policies can be measured based on two indicators, namely, the policy has been evenly and comprehensively distributed, and the usefulness of the policy in overcoming the housing backlog in DKI Indonesia is felt by MBR. Meanwhile, from the utility aspect, the housing financing financing assistance policy is beneficial for MBR in acquiring subsidized houses. Furthermore, there are still shortcomings that must be corrected both from the supply aspect housing, strengthening policy monitoring and evaluation, strengthening governance and institutions, strengthening laws and regulations, strengthening collaboration and synergy between stakeholders, and strengthening collaboration. This study offers valuable insights for policymakers to design more equitable and sustainable housing financing strategies, addressing critical socio-economic issues in urban housing.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial ratios such as PER, PBV, and ROE on stock returns in companies that have just conducted an IPO in the 2022-2023 period. The research population consists of companies that conducted IPOs on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the period July 2022 to July 2023. The study population was taken using the purposive random sampling method, which combines purposively sampling with a randomization process, to ensure valid representation. This study uses data on the financial statements of companies listed on the IDX during the period 2022-23. Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between financial ratio and stock returns. The regression model developed was able to explain about 42.5% of the total variation in stock returns, showing that the independent variables used made a significantly contribution in explaining the fluctuations in stock return. This research could offer valuable implications for investors in evaluating IPO companies and assist companies in maintaining high profitability and good market reputation before going public. Moreover, findings could inform capital market regulators in developing policies aimed at enhancing investor protection and market efficiency.

Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing the intention to segregate waste and participate in waste bank programs, based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the concept of value co-creation. The research highlights the significant role of attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral in shaping the intention to segregate waste. However, it finds that attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control did not significantly influence the intention to segregate waste. This suggests that participants' decisions to engage in waste management practices were less affected by their attitudes, subjective norms and perceived control over the behavior. Furthermore, value co-creation was found to mediate the relationship between attitudes and intentions, indicating that when consumers actively contribute to creating value, they become more motivated to continue their pro-environmental behaviors. The study also reveals that positive experiences and a sense of ownership in the waste management process reinforce participants' commitment to segregating waste, even without external pressure or rewards. The findings provide valuable insights into how programs involving active participation in co-creating value can enhance environmental behaviors.

Abstract

The development of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies has revolutionized various industries, including marketing and customer satisfaction. In the modern competitive business era, companies are increasingly relying on this technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, especially in answering marketing needs and customer satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the role of ML and AI in strengthening aspects of marketing and customer satisfaction in the business sector. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through literature studies. After the data is collected, it is then analyzed by the stages of filtering relevant data, presenting key information, and answering the research objectives in the conclusion. The results of the study show that the application of ML and AI can significantly improve the marketing effectiveness of companies through personalization of products and services, conducting more accurate customer segmentation, predicting consumer behavior, and optimizing various aspects of marketing. On the other hand, the application of ML and AI also plays an important role in improving customer satisfaction. For example, with the use of intelligent chatbots and customer feedback analysis, companies can understand the shortcomings that need to be fixed, then improve the quality of customer service. So, by utilizing this technology, companies can increase efficiency in marketing, drive increased sales, and build more solid relationships with customers, which ultimately contributes to increased customer satisfaction.
