Abstract

Perubahan kurikulum KTSP menjadi kurikulum 2013 memberikan konsekuensi yang besar bagi arah pendidikan di masa depan. Hal tersebut berdampak pada semua aspek yang berkaitan dengan proses pendidikan sumber belajar biologi yang menjadi rujukan guru dan siswa.  Kebijakan pergantian  kurikulum  2013 menuntut guru biologi khususnya  agar dapat mempersiapkan diri dengan baik termasuk penerapan pendekatan saintifik yang memanfaatkan sumber belajar berbasis potensi lokal. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui potensi sumber belajar biologi untuk materi ekosistem  di sekitar  persawahan Gunung Puyuh, Pundong, Kabupaten Bantul.Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian eksploratif dengan subjek penelitian adalah penduduk disekitar persawahan Gunung Puyuh, sedangkan objek penelitian adalah ekosistem disekitar persawahan Gunung Puyuh, Desa Panjang Rejo, Kecamatan Pundong, Kabupaten Bantul. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif.Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di sekitar persawahan Gunung Puyuh, Desa Panjang Rejo, Pundong, Bantul ditemukan beberapa komponen abiotik antara lain: sinar matahari, tanah, air, batu, suhu 33°C dan kelembaban 52%,  rata – rata  dan komponen  biotik berupa: padi, rumput, talas, burung, katak, tikus, capung,  laba – laba, belalang, ayam, keong mas, bekicot, cacing, kupu – kupu dan jamur. Potensi sumber belajar biologi untuk materi ekosistem siswa SMA kelas X telah memenuhi dua kreteria syarat sumber belajar yaitu: kejelasan potensi persawahan yang luas dan penuh dengan komponen-komponen ekosistem, kesesuaian dengan tujuan pembelajaran yang telah disesuaikan dengan kurikulum 2013, yaitu, siswa dapat mengetahui ekosistem sawah dan komponen penyusunnya, siswa dapat melakukan pengamatan ekosistem sawah beserta lingkungan sekitarnya, siswa dapat mengidentifikasi komponen penyusun ekosistem sawah, dan siswa dapat membuat jejaring rantai makanan berdasarkan komponen yang ditemukan diekosistem sawah. Selanjutnya proses pembelajarannya dapat menerapkan konsep pembelajaran  Contextual  Teaching  and  Learning (CTL) sehingga dapat menjadikan siswa terpacu untuk menggunakan pengetahuannya dan menggali pengetahuannya dengan masalah yang ada dilingkungan sekitarnya. Kata kunci : potensi sumber belajar, kurikulum 2013, ekosistem

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Limbah plastik memiliki permasalahan lingkungan yang cukup serius. Polipropilen (PP) merupakan salah satu limbah plastik yang jumlahnya cukup banyak di lingkungan kita. Daur ulang limbah plastik polipropilen menjadi bioplastik ramah lingkungan merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangi permasalahan lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan kitosan terhadap biodegradasi plastik berbahan dasar polipropilen. Dalam penelitian ini, limbah polipropilen digunakan sebagai matriks dengan kitosan sebagai filler dan dikumil peroksida (DCP) sebagai crosslink agent. Kitosan dengan berbagai komposisi sebesar 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 dan 5 + 1% DCP fraksi massa ditambahkan ke dalam polipropilen. Pembuatan plastik dilakukan  dengan metode blending. Bioplastik yang diperoleh selanjutnya dikarakterisasi gugus fungsi dan sifat biodegradasinya berturut-turut dengan FTIR dan perendaman dalam mikroba campuran (mixed microbial batch) dengan EM4. Pada uji biodegradasi didapat plastik yang paling degradabel adalah plastik dengan komposisi PP: Kitosan (% w/w) 80/20. Selanjutnya urutan biodegradabilitas berturut-turut adalah dengan perbandingan 85/15; 90/10; 95/ 5;  90/10 + 1% DCP; 100/0.   Kata kunci: Polipropilen, Kitosan, Dikumil Peroksida, Biodegradasi

Abstract

Abstract- This study aims to evaluate of plant composition andvegetation structure  inas supporting development strategy ecotourism inSei . Mempura which combines elements of tourism and conservation of nature so that the emphasis on aspects of nature conservation will always be maintained in the absence of concerns about environmental degradation and exploitation . The method used in this study is a survey method of vegetation analysis techniques premises . This research was conducted in Sei . MempuraKab. Siak Sri Indrapura . Data collection was conducted in January 2014 . Based on the results of the analysis of vegetation known that species that dominates the mainstay and economic value and can be highlighted as supporting ecotourism program in the village of SeiMempura is mangosteen ( DR = 9,584 ) and durian ( DR = 8582 ) . The area is famous for its fruit nimanggisnya species that are small and have a very sweet flesh .Spessies durian is also the appeal of  Sei. Mempura to attract tourists locally and nationally on a particular season to visit this village. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas kemampuan kelelawar Subordo Microchiroptera penghuni Gua Lawa Temandang di Karst Tuban dalam mengendalikan populasi serangga hama. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli  – Oktober 2012 di Gua Lawa Temandang di  kawasan  Karst Tuban Jawa Timur. Peranan kelelawar sebagai pengendali populasi serangga hama diukur menggunakan parameter biomassa serangga yang dimangsa kelelawar. Biomassa dihitung berdasarkan berat tubuh rata-rata sebelum kelelawar mencari mangsa dan setelah kembali dari mencari mangsa. Data biomassa serangga mangsa kelelawar dianalisis dengan statistika sederhana. Di Gua Lawa Temandang terdapat empat spesies  kelelawar Subordo Microchihroptera. Spesies-spesies tersebut adalah   Hipposideros cervinus, Rhinolophus affinis, Rhinolophus pusillus, dan Nycteris javanica. Rata-rata kelelawar Subordo Microchiroptera penghuni Gua Lawa Temandang di Karst Tuban mampu memangsa seberat 32,87% dari berat tubuhnya. Beberapa spesies mampu memangsa hingga 2 kali dari berat tubuhnya. Seluruh populasi kelelawar di Gua Lawa Temandang Karst Tuban mampu memangsa 6.005.615 individu serangga hama pertanian dalam satu malam.  Kata kunci: Kelelawar, Microchiroptera, Serangga Hama, Karst

Abstract

Advancement in science and technology, especially in android operating system encourage renewal efforts in learning. The rise of android-based smartphone used among students can support them learning on Net Generation who prefer to visual media and gadget. This research aims to produce AnimalPedia application based on Android and to know its influence to increase student learning outcomes. The research was conducted by ASSURE development method which was tested to two classes namely control class with conventional learning and experimental class by using AnimalPedia application. The respondents used in the research were 20 tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Sidoarjo on Kingdom Animalia subjects. Animalpedia application was created by using software named android studio. Methods of data collection was done by documentation method, expert validation, questionnaire, and test. The research parameters are expert validation, user response and student learning outcomes. This development research produced an Animalpedia Application containing splash screen, phylum information and information of each class, and side menu containing; KI and KD, Concepts, tutorials and authors that have been uploaded to the Google Play Store. The results showed that the application AnimalPedia can improve student learning outcomes of class X IPA SMA Negeri 4 Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Science Process Skill (SPS) on the biology learning can facilitate student to reach the science learning and push student to find their own concept of knowladge, facs along with develop attitude and values. The purpose of this research is to improve student’s at class XI IPA 2 of SMA in skin excretory system using guided inquiry. Participan in this reasearc is 36 student of class XI SMA in Karanganyar who choose sciene program. The target of this research is to increase percentage of each skill indicator on SPS about ≥10%. The result of this research shows an the  average percentage on student’s SPS increasing from 29,78% to 65,34%. But, in the classification skill need to be trained more intensively, because it has not reached the target. Based on the result above the conclusion that guided inquiry can improvement student’s SPS participan.Keywords:        guided inquiry model, science process skill, skin excretory system

Abstract

Instructional media in the learning process not only as a tool but a messenger or learning information that must be in accordance with the student needs. In this study, researchers developed a media that integrates biology learning with Mandarin so that when students learn biology, also simultaneously recognize objects in biology and organizational level of life in Mandarin. Instructional media that will be made in the cards form contains about the object and scope of biology. The purpose of this study is to measure the effectiveness of Indonesian-mandarin biology card on biology learning outcomes for secondary school. The method used is one shot case study. Research is done through the preparation, implementation, and data analysis. The results of the use media of Indonesian-mandarin card seen based on the average value of learning outcomes obtained test of 76.29% with mastery learning is in good criteria. Thus it can be concluded that the use of Indonesian-mandarin card can be one strategy to improve student learning outcomes in biology learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher candidates’ perception about professional teacher profile as stated in the Indonesian Teacher Regulation (2005). This research an descritive qualitative were involved 62 teacher candidates of Mathematics and Science Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University as respondents. The data was collected with non-test techniques by questioner. Data analyzed by descriptive qualitative approach and served in diagram. The results showed: there are 95,24% teacher candidates have uncorrect perception and just only 4,76% students have correct perception about the profile of professional teacher. Based on the result of the research can be concluded that mosly teacher candidates have uncorrect perceptions about the profile of professional teacher. As effort to build the professional teacher for future, can be suggested that teacher candidates have to get correct concept about professional teacher especially through education profession matterial. Keywords: teacher candidates’ perception, the profile of professional teacher

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Sorus pada tumbuhan paku merupakan bagian dari alat perkembangbiakan yang sangat penting untuk regenerasinya. Melihat  karakteristik sorus merupakan suatu yang harus diketahui sebelum lebih  dalam mempelajari perkembangbiakan tumbuhan paku. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian awal yang bertujuan memberikan informasi guna penelitian lanjutan tentang perkembangbiakan tumbuhan Paku. Penelitian bersifat diskriptif ekploratif dan sampel diambil dengan menggunakan metode transek jalur dengan mempertimbangkan daerah yang obyektif ditumbuhi oleh tumbuhan Paku. Karakteristik yang diamati adalah macam-macam warna sorus , bentuk dan letak anulus dari sorus masing- masing spesies. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh tumbuhan Paku yang tumbuh di Ironggolo memiliki sorus berwarna  coklat keemasan, coklat gelap dan kuning keemasan, sedangkan bentuk sorus bulat dan pipih.  Letak anulus ada yang tepat di tengah dan di tepi. Di kawasan wisata Ironggolo dapat di temukan 8 jenis tumbuhan paku, antara lain Dryopteris sp, Drynaria quercifolia, Phymatodes nigrescens, Selaginella biformis, Nephrolepis exaltata, Cibotium sp, Coniogramme japonica,dan Cyathea javanica. Setelah mengadakan pengamatan bentuk sorus pada masing-masing tumbuhan paku-pakuan yang ditemukan di wilayah wisata Ironggolo, terdapat perbedaan dan persamaan karakteristik bentuk sorus baik dari warna, bentuk,  dan letak anullus. Perbedaan karakteristik itu dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kekerabatan dari paku-pakuan.   Kata kunci:  karakteristik bentuk sorus paku-pakuan,  wisata ironggolo Kediri

Abstract

Abstract- The purpose of this research was to determine the antibacterial activity of garlic extract and black garlic against E.coli sensitive and resistant to antibiotics. This research is an experiment with 2 factors : 1) the type of extract (garlic and garlic Black), 2) test bacterial strain (E. coli sensitive and resistant to antibiotics). Solvent extraction using 20% ethanol, 1: 1 and then centrifuged. Antibacterial activity test by well diffusion method. Parameter study is inhibition zone formed around the wells. The results showed that extracts of garlic has antibacterial activity against E.coli sensitive (14.22 mm) and antibiotic-resistant E.coli (22.2 mm), while the black garlic extract showed no antibacterial activity. Keywords: garlic, black garlic, E.coli
