Abstract

Suku polong-polongan merupakan suku yang mempunyai jenis terbanyak ketiga dan diperkirakan terdapat 18000 jenis dan 630 marga yang tersebar di seluruh dunia. Kebun Raya Purwodadi sebagai Lembaga konservasi memiliki tugas untuk melakukan konservasi, inventarisasi, penelitian, dan eksplorasi tumbuhan khususnya di ekosistem  dataran rendah kering memiliki beragam koleksi polong  –  polongan yang terdiri dari 3 suku antara lain Mimosaceae, Caesalpiniaceae, dan Papilionaceae yang memiliki beragam potensi. Hasil pengamatan tercatat sebanyak 45 jenis polong-polongan koleksi Kebun Raya Purwodadi yang diketahui potensinya. Ulasan mengenai keragaman dan potensi jenis polong-polongan Kebun Raya Purwodadi akan dibahas dalam makalah ini.  Kata kunci: Koleksi polong-polongan, Kebun Raya Purwodadi

Abstract

This research aims to describe teacher's inquiring skills and student responses are reviewed by parenting style of students on science subjects in primary school in Batam. The research was analyzed using qualitative and descrivtive quantitative method. The results showed that the teacher's inquiring skills were quite good. Teachers neededto improved advance inquiring skill in changing the demands of the cognitive level in answering questions from the lowest to the highest level. Teacher needed to improve in probing technique. Several teachers were dominant in providing facts, narrow, convergent, and understand level of questions. The student's response to the teacher's questions showed: (a) categories of student answers were dominated by scientific answers, semi-scientific, zero and false; (b )Not many students could not answer (when teachers asked all students; (c) more students gave answers simultaneously; (d) few students were appointed but unable to answer; (e) many of the appointed students were able to answer; (f) students were confuse to give the right answers on practical learning; (g) few students showed to answered questions and asked the teacher. Data of teacher’s inquiring point (g) were resulted by authoritarian parenting style and showed by the quitionare that 94.83% of their authoritarian parentig style, 18,53% of permissive parenting, and 9,81% of authoritative parenting. It meant authoritarian parenting produced a child who was less confident in his ability that caused of the student could not and would not answer and ask the teacher individually.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of this research is to find to what extent senior highschool teachers has applied innovative teaching after passing the certification examination. In addition, this research has the aim to find out the problems that the teachers have in their application of innovative teaching. Based on the problems, this research proposes some recommendations for the solutions for the problems.Specifically, this research wants to find out whether there are any differences in the application of innovative teaching between the teachers who passed the portofolio ceritification exam  and those who passed the exam in  the Teacher Profession Education and Training (PLPG).   This is a qualitative research with observation, depth-interview, questionnaire used as the instruments to get the data of the research. The objects of the research are certifiedb and non-certified senior highschool teachers of  natural science, social science, Indonesian and English of both the private and state schools in SurakartaThe research has obtained the following findings. The certification program has created an impact on both certified and non-certified senior highschool teachers in Surakarta. With their limitations, they tend to implement innovative teaching. There is a  difference between certified teachers and non-certified teachers. The former teach better than the later. There is a slight difference between the cerified teachers who passed the portofolio exam and the certified teachers who passed the PLPG exam. The portofolio teachers teach more innovatively than the PLPG teachers.The research has also found that the teachers are facing some problems that discourage them to implement innovative teaching. First, they are forced to prepare the students for the National Exam. Secondly, they have the wrong perception that teaching innovatively means using computers or laptops and this means being expensive. To solve the problems, there should be a continuous supervision and monitoring and evaluation for the teachers.                        .                                                                                              Keywords: innovative teaching, teacher certification,  professional teachers

Abstract

Nezara viridula dan Riptortus linearis termasuk salah satu hama utama pada tanaman kedelai karena menimbulkan kerugian yang cukup tinggi. Percobaan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun Aglaia odorata terhadap perkembangan hama pengisap polong Nezara viridula dan Riptortus linearis. Percobaan dilakukan di rumah kaca Balitbang Bioteknologi dan Sumberdaya Genetik Pertanian, Bogor pada bulan Januari sampai Mei 2011. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap yang teridiri atas 5 (lima) perlakuan dan 5 (lima) ulangan, sebagai perlakuan adalah ekstrak A. odorata konsentrasi 1,0%, 0,75%, 0,5% dan 0,25% serta kontrol. Tanaman kedelai varietas Anjasmoro ditanam pada pot-pot plastik dipupuk sesuai anjuran. Setiap perlakuan terdiri atas satu pot tanaman kedelai. Tanaman kedelai yang sudah berpolong (polong muda) diaplikasi dengan perlakuan ekstrak A. odorata sesuai konsentrasi yang digunakan dengan volume semprot 7,5 ml/perlakuan, setelah kering-angin tanaman disungkup dengan kurungan kasa nilon kemudian diinfestasi serangga uji N. viridula dan R. linearis masing-masing 20 ekor nimfa/perlakuan, setiap serangga uji diinfestasikan pada tanaman yang berbeda. Mortalitas dan perkembangan N. viridula dan R. linearis diamati setiap hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak A. odorata berpengaruh terhadap mortalitas nimfa N. viridula dan R. linearis, konsentrasi 0,75 – 1,0% menyebabkan mortalitas nimfa N. viridula 30,0 – 70,0% dan R. linearis 20,0 – 60,0%. Pada konsentrasi 0,75 – 1,0% menghambat perkembangan nimfa, menurunkan jumlah telur dan keperidian. Kata kunci : ekstrak A. odorata, N. viridula, R. linearis, kedelai

Abstract

Etnobotani  merupakan suatu bidang ilmu yang mempelajari hubungan timbal-balik secara menyeluruh antara masyarakat lokal dengan sumberdaya alam tumbuhan.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1)  mempelajari potensi lokal tumbuhan bermanfaat di wilayah pedalaman/pedesaan, (2) mempelajari pengetahuan etnobotani siswa sekolah dasar di wilayah pedalaman, (3) mengimlementasikan hasil penelitian sebagai muatan lokal di wilayah pedalaman. Hasil survey menunjukkan bahwa 75% siswa kelas 6 SD di wilayah pedalaman Kalimantan Tengah tidak mengenal jenis-jenis tumbuhan bermanfaat yang ada di lingkungannya. Mengingat pentingnya materi etnobotani untuk dibelajarkan pada siswa, maka etnobotani perlu diintegrasikan dalam materi muatan lokal sebagai pengetahuan botani tradisional yang dimiliki masyarakat setempat di wilayah pedalaman.    Kata Kunci: Etnobotani, Muatan Lokal,  Wilayah Pedalaman

Abstract

Critical thinking is a process of using the ability to think effectively that can help a person to make, evaluate, and make decisions about what is believed or done. That's because with critical thinking, individuals can be trained to solve problems in different ways and diverse. Providing problems to be solved by students can train critical thinking well, because to solve problems, one must have critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of students' critical thinking level in solving the problem of biotechnological development. The type of research used is descriptive research using qualitative approach. Subjects in this study are students of Biology Education University of Lambung Mangkurat who have taken courses Introduction Biotechnology in the academic year 2016/2017 which amounted to 6 people drawn from 3 categories high, medium, and low based on the value of Introductory courses Biotechnology. The results of this study indicate that the profile of students' critical thinking level is at the level of BKPMB 2, 3 and 4.

Abstract

Tenaga pendidik di perguruan tinggi sebagai pilar yang diharapkan membangun kualitas penelitian, sudah seharusnya memiliki tanggung jawab yang tinggi pada permasalahan yang dihadapi bangsa ini. Permasalahan ketidak orisinalan penelitian pada tingkat mahasiswa sangat banyak ditemukan. terkadang pihak dosen tidak menganalisis secara seksama keorisinalan penelitian mahasiswa bimbingannya.  Para mahasiswa sebagai insan peneliti sedini mungkin dapat dicegah agar terhindar dari sikap-sikap plagiat. Oleh karena itu perlu mengembangkan suatu model perkuliahan yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir riset mahasiswa dari konteks mata kuliah yang diembannya. Salah satu keuntungan bagi universitas Cenderawasih adalah melimpahnya sumber daya bahan alam yang sangat potensial untuk diteliti. Model perkuliahan kimia bahan alam sering tidak memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan penelitian dilingkungan pendidikan kimia, karena sebahagian besar topikk-topik penelitian, bahan eksperimen laboratorium mahsiaswa tidak mendukung adanya penelitian yang unggul dibidang kimia bahan alam yang seharusnya dapat bermanfaat bagi pelaksanaan perkuliahan. Berdasarkan situasi dan kondisi perkuliahan,  permasalahan yang dihadapi dunia pendidikan khususnya bidang penelitian, kekurang mampuan meneliti oleh insan peneliti (khususnya mahasiswa), dan kelimpahan sumber daya potensi penelitian, maka tim peneliti ingin menegmbangkan suatu model perkuliahan dibidang kimia bahan alam yang berbasis etno-brainstorming problem solving decision making (E-BPSDM) untuk dapat meningkatkan berpikir riset pada mahasiswa, dan mencegah sikap plagiat. Pemilihan mata kuliah kimia organik bahan alam sebagai konteks materi penelitian ini, didasarkan pada kelimpahan sumber daya bahan alam berhasiat  Papua, untuk diangkat menjadi bahan acuan pengembangan berpikir riset mahasiswa, melalui pengembangan bahan ajar kimia organik bahan alam berbasis indikator berpikir E-BPSDM, sebagai buku acuan perkuliahan. Memberikan tugas-tugas dengan melakukan penelusuran bahan alam berkhasiat  Papua dengan pendekatan-pendekatan etnosains pada masyarakat pemegang hak wilayat. Dalam hal ini semua perangkat intervensi untuk pengembangan model perkuliahan KOBA berbasis EBPSDM seperti instrumen pemahaman konsep, kuesioner, dan bahan lieratur telah tervalidasi dan layak untuk dilanjutkan pada tahap intervensi.Keywords:      Pengembangan model perkuliahan, Kimia Organik Bahan alam, E-BPSDM.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penyebaran soal Ujian Nasional IPA SMP tahun 2014 berdasarkan dimensi pengetahuan dan dimensi proses kognitif.Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei tahun 2014, tepat setelah Ujian Nasional untuk jenjang SMP selesai dilaksanakan. Subyek penelitian adalah soal-soal Ujian Nasional IPA tahun 2014 yang digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi akhir bagi kelas IX secara nasional sesuai Standar Kompetensi Lulusan (SKL) yang ditetapkan oleh Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP). Data dikumpulkan dari 5 paket soal Ujian Nasional IPA yang diambil secara acak dari 20 paket soal yang ada. Data dianalisis penyebarannya secara kualitatif  berdasarkan dimensi pengetahuan dan dimensi proses kognitif dalam taksonomi pendidikan menurut Bloom yang direvisi oleh Anderson dan Krathwohl. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 40 soal (100%) soal Ujian Nasional IPA tahun 2014 untuk jenjang SMP merupakan soal yang termasuk dimensi pengetahuan konseptual, dan tidak ditemukan soal yang menggali penguasaan pengetahuan faktual maupun prosedural. Sementara dari tinjauan dimensi proses kognitif, soal Ujian Nasional IPA tahun 2014 untuk jenjang SMP yang termasuk dalam kategori mengingat (C1) adalah sebanyak 4 soal (10%), memahami (C2) sebanyak 27 soal (67,5%), menerapkan (C3) sebanyak 4 soal (10%), menganalisis sebanyak 3 soal (7,5%), mengevaluasi (C5) sebanyak 2 soal (5 %), dan mencipta (C6) sebanyak 0 soal (0%).  Kata Kunci: Analisis Soal Ujian Nasional, Mata Pelajaran IPA, Dimensi Pengetahuan, Dimensi Proses Kognitif

Abstract

Tor genus is a local Indonesian freshwater fish, and endangered species. The urgent conservation efforts should be made to determination of relationship based on phenetic approach. This is because the taxonomical position and classification of this fish were unclear. The data used in this study were meristic, general of morphology, and special character to determinate up to the species level. The special characters of this fish were the existence and size of the median lobe. Samples were taken from Banyu Biru lake (Lokal name were Sengkaring and Tambra), as well as the related species, They were consists of Tor duoronensis from Padang, Tor Tambraides from West Borneo, and Tor soro were obtained from North Sumatra. Fenogram formed based on UPGMA method. According to the phenogram, it was shown that 3 related groups of Tor Genus laid from near to far distance based on their relationship, 2 apomorphy and 4 automorphy group. The first consists of two subklad namely Tor duoronensis and Sengkaring with their similarity index 100%, and Tambra was sister clad of Tor duoronensis supported by the similarity index of 92.9 %. The second Subklad consists of Tor tambra and Tor soro (Apomorfi B) with a similarity index 59%, while the furthest distance Tor tambraides with similarity index of 45, 625%. Tambra and Sengkaring showed a grouping pattern that closely related to Tor duoronensis based on seven main distinguishing morphometric features. Seven main distinguishing features were consist of: size of median lobe, SL (standard length), MXBL (maxillary barbels lenght), CPL (caudal peduncle lenght), PDL (pre dorsal lenght), IW (interorbital width) and SNL (snout lenght). Furthermore, the results of morphometric analysis showed that Sengkaring and Tambra was indeed not a member of Tor Tambraides and Tor soro species due to significant difference of body size. Keywords: Tor, Relationship, Phenetic, Morphology, Special Character, Meristric, Conservation

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to determine the effectiveness of guided discovery learning model for the skills of inquiry, metacognition skills, and results of cognitive learning outcome of students. The research was non-equivalent control group design in the eighth grade students of MTsN Panglungan Jombang conducted on 12th until 25th May, 2015. Some instruments to support this study were the instrument of inquiry skills which consisted of rubric of learning process and product, assessment of metacognition skills in the form of initial and final test integrated with the cognitive achievement test, and measurement of students’ cognitive learning outcomes using essay test. Data were tabulated and analysed by t- test independent using the SPSS16 program for windows 2007. This research showed that: (1) there were differences in the skills of inquiry process between the control and the treatment group (α = 0.01 <0.05), (2) there was a difference between the product of inquiry skills (α = 0.015 <0.05 ), (3) metacognition skills in the experimental class and the class dick final test results indicate that there were significant differences grade between control and treatment (α = 0.040 <0.05), (4) results of students’ cognitive final test indicated that there was a significant difference from the control and treatment (α = 0.003 <0.05). It can be concluded that guided discovery learning model can improve the skills of inquiry processes and products, metacognition skills, and results of students’ cognitive learning.Keywords: guided discovery, inkuri skills, metacognition skills, results of cognitive learning
