Abstract

The focus of this study is to describe the difference of students' learning outcomes, in the subjec,t of environmental knowledge Between the application of STAD learning model with the application of demonstration, learning method. This experimental study was conducted on even semesters 2015/2016 and even semester 2016/2017. The research instrument uses test questions even semester 2015/2016 and even semester 2016/2017. Data analysis looks at the reliability and validity of the questions and test the difference , in learning outcomes, with t-tests. Additional instruments used as a tool for collecting research data is an interview with 5 students in every semester even. The results showed, that there were significant, differences (α = 0.05). The result of learning environmental knowledge between the application of STAD learning model with the application of demonstration learning method (Sig =0.043≤ α=0.05) STAD (78.3) whereas the mean learning outcomes of the demonstration learning method (83.2). Demonstration learning methods show higher learning outcomes compared to the STAD learning model. Based on interviews conducted on the students provide information that the demonstration method is more challenging and realistic and can be practiced directly about the material being studied. When the formation of small groups is an advantage of STAD type cooperative learning model. The implication that can be given in this research is demonstration learning methods in the learning of environmental knowledge, can be applied, by the teaching staff as one method that can provide good learning outcomes.

Abstract

As one of the introduction species, Betutu Fish has an important role to the controlling effort at P.B Soedirman Reservoir. Generally, the population index of the indigenous fresh water species has decreased. It is caused by the existence of the introduction fish that threat the indigenous fish species, so the population becomes homogeneous. This research is aiming to find out about two things, which is: a) the abundance, sex ratio, size dispersion, weight and length of the Betutu Fish in P.B Soedirman Reservoir; and also b) the influence of environmental factors on the abundance of Betutu Fish in P.B. Soedirman Reservoir, Banjarnegara. This research is using the survey method with purposive random sampling, in 9 location which has been done twice on June and July 2013. The population of parameter has been analyze by quantative method, while the correlation of water quality against to the abundance used the Spearman Rank correlation analysis method. The research result showed that the density was 57 fishes/307,5 m­2; the sex ratio was 1:0,08 with 91,3% male and 8,7% female percentage; the size dispersion was even in every sample areas; and the value of b is obtained for the weight and length connection, which is close to isometric value (b=3). For the whole water quality aspect, whether physic or chemistry that has been measured during the research in the reservoir was still in normal range. It is supported by the Spearman Rank analysis that concerns about the correlation of physic and water chemistry to the density; and it turned out to be that both of the element have correlation even though not too significant. Keywords: Betutu fish, population, reservoir,  abundance, water quality.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMenekankan pada proses pembelajaran sangat penting menjadi perhatian kita sebagai salah satu penyebabmerosotnya kualitas pendidikan, oleh karena itu kita sebagai pendidik perlu melakukan upaya dan menyikapinya. Data empirik dalam pembelajaran KKH II menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pembelajaran dan konseptualisasi pemahaman materi dikatakan belum optimal termasuk dalam penyampaian materi yang rnasih konvensional sehingga mahasiswa kurang responsive dalam kondisipembelajaran.Berpijak pada realita dilapangan maka perlu dilakukan suatu model penyampaian pembelajaran matakuliah KKH II yang inovatif yaitu Penerapan " Edukasi Net " yang bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran matakuliah KKH II dan (2) meningkatkan kebermaknaan pemahaman rnateri matakuliah KKH II.Sebagai subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester IV peserta matakuliah KKH II. Data diperoleh dan dikumpulkan melalui berbagai sumber yaitu wawancara dengan mahasiswa dan dosen, observasi kegiatan pembelajaran, angket dan dokumen. Validitas data dilakukan dengan dengan teknik trianggulasi sumber dan analisis dilakukan secara kualitatif. Hasil analisis terdapat rerata dari angket informasi balikan mahasiswa dari penerapan Edukasi Net menunjukkan kualitas pembelajaran untuk pernyataan sangat tidak memuaskan 0,95 %, tidak memuaskan 6,85% cukup mernuaskan 26,47 %, memuaskan 52,19 % dan sangat memuaskan 13,65 %. Kemudian terdapat rerata peningkatan konseptualisasi pemahaman materi KKH II dari 59,99 % nrenjadi 95,90 %.Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: (1) Terdapat peningkatan kualitas proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Edukasi Net dalam matakuliah KKH II, (2) Terdapat peningkatan konseptualisasi pemahaman materi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Edukasi Net dalam matakuliah KKH IIKata kunci : Edukasi Net, konseptualisasi

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using a flip chart on students' scientific literacy on environmental pollution material. This development research used the ADDIE model. This research was carried out until the development phase. The flip chart that has been produced was validated by using validation sheets by 4 validators who experts on media and material, then tested on 20 grade VIII junior high school students. The data of Students' responses about flip chart were collected by using a questionnaire and students' science literacy were collected by using the multiple-choice test. The results of the research indicated that there was an increase in the mean score of pre-test and post-test from 62 (low) to 81 (high). It illustrated that there was a strengthening of science literacy on the competence to explain phenomena scientifically from 61.25% (low) to 87.5% (very good), the competence to design and evaluate scientific inquiry from 53.75% (low) to 71.25% (enough), and the competence to interpret data and evidence scientifically from 80% (good) to 87.5% (very good). This result was supported by student questionnaires when using a flip chart, which is 88.1, it shows that flip charts can be used as a means of strengthening student scientific literacy

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Buah murbei (Morus alba L.) selain dapat dikonsumsi langsung, juga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai obat batuk. Daun murbei juga dapat digunakan untuk mengobati beberapa macam penyakit, antara lain: batuk, gangguan pencernaan makanan, bisul radang kulit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menguji daya antibakteri dari ekstrak ethanol daun dan buah murbei  (M. alba L.) dalam beberapa macam konsentrasi terhadap Staphylococcus aureus secara in vitro; 2) menguji daya antibakteri dari ekstrak ethanol daun dan buah murbei (M. alba L.) dalam beberapa macam konsentrasi terhadap Shigella dysenteriae secara in vitro; 3) mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak ethanol daun dan buah murbei (M. alba L.) yang paling efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Staphylococcus aureus; 4) mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak ethanol daun dan buah murbei (M. alba L.) yang paling efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan  Shigella dysenteriae. Penelitian ini dilakukan di laboratorium Mikrobiologi FMIPA UM dan laboratorium ekstraksi Materia Medika Batu. Daun dan buah murbei (M. alba L.) dihaluskan dan dilakukan maserasi dengan alkohol 95% selama 3 hari, kemudian disaring steril. Hasil penyaringan daun dan buah murbei tersebut dipisahkan dari pelarutnya melalui evaporasi. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengenceran ekstrak untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi ekstrak 5%, 15%, 25%, 35%, 45%, 55%, 65%, 75%, 85%, dan 95%. Pengujian daya antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode difusi agar. Ekstrak daun dan buah murbei (M. alba L.) diperlakukan pada biakan S. aureus dan S. dysenteriae yang telah ditumbuhkan pada medium Nutrient Agar dan diinkubasikan pada suhu 37ºC selama 1 24 jam. Penentuan daya antibakteri ekstrak ethanol daun dan buah murbei (M. alba L.) dilakukan berdasarkan hasil zona hambat perrtumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Shigella dysenteriae pada medium Nutrient Agar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari ekstrak ethanol daun dan buah murbei (M. alba L.) dalam beberapa macam konsentrasi terhadap Staphylococcus aureus secara in vitro; 2) ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari ekstrak ethanol daun dan buah murbei (M. alba L.) dalam beberapa macam konsentrasi terhadap Shigella dycenteriae secara in vitro; 3) konsentrasi baik ekstrak daun maupun buah murbei (M. alba L.) yang paling efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Staphylococcus aureus ialah 85%; 4) konsentrasi ekstrak daun murbei (M. alba L.) yang paling efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan  Shigella dysenteriae ialah 95%, sedangkan konsentrasi ekstrak buah murbei (M. alba L.) yang paling efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan  Shigella dysenteriae ialah 85%.   Kata Kunci: daun dan buah murbei (M. alba L.), efek antibakteri, Staphylococcus aureus, Shigella dysenteriae.

Abstract

Catharanthusroseus L. contain vincaalcaloid compound. The leaf extract of Catharanthusroseus L. has anti-mitotic effect like colchisine which can cause chromosome duplication. The aim of this research was to evaluate the ethanolicleaf extract ofCatharanthusroseus L. and colchisine on seed germination of Capsicum annuum. 20 Seeds of Capsicum annuum were soaked for 24 h in ethanolic leaf extract of Catharanthusroseus L. (0,05%, 0,1% dan 0,5%), colchisine (0,05%, 0,1% dan 0,5%) and water as control. Seed germination percentage was observed and plant height was measured after 30 days. The 0,5% ethanolic leaf extract and 0,5% colchisine caused the lowest germination percentage. The 0,5% leaf extract caused the lowest average plant height and based on Tukey’s HSD test, soaked in 0,5% ethanol leaf extract treatment and other treatments are significantly different (P<0,05).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan pembelajaran  Biologi di SMA Negeri 2 Kota Yogyakarta masih bercorak teoritis dan hafalan (tekstual), sehingga konsep-konsep Biologi cenderung sulit dipahami oleh peserta didik. Dalam mengajar, tampaknya guru kurang memperhatikan  pendekatan dan metode yang sesuai dengan karakteristik materi Biologi yang banyak melibatkan keterampilan ilmiah. Akibatnya capaian prestasi belajar menjadi kurang maksimal. Metode pembelajaran Eksperimen  adalah metode pembelajaran berbasis Keterampilan Proses Sains, sangat cocok untuk mengoptimalkan pengembangan aspek kognitif, psikomotor, dan afektif peserta didik.Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dengan metode Eksperimen   Lapangan dan Eksperimen Laboratorium terhadap Prestasi belajar. Penelitian mengunakan metode Eksperimen dengan populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X, semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2010 – 2011 di SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta khususnya pada materi tentang Polusi. Sampel diambil secara random  sebanyak dua kelas,  masing-masing terdiri dari 32 dan 31 peserta didik. Data berupa kemampuan kognitif berupa prestasi belajar yang dijaring menggunakan tes. Validitas instrumen prestasi belajar diuji dengan menggunakan rumus koefisien korelasi biseral. Reliabilitas instrumen diuji dengan anatest. Data prestasi belajar dianalisis dengan menggunakan  SPSS 15.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan CTL dengan metode Eksperimen Lapangan dan Eksperimen Laboratorium.  Pendekatan CTL dengan metode Eksperimen Lapangan di SMA Negeri 2 Kota Yogyakarta memberi pengaruh lebih baik terhadap rata-rata nilai prestasi belajar peserta didik (72,97) dibandingkan pada penggunaan pendekatan CTL dengan metode Eksperimen Laboratorium yang rata-rata prestasi belajarnya lebih rendah (69,65). Kata kunci : Pendekatan CTL, Metode Eksperimen Lapangan, Metode Eksperimen Laboratorium, Prestasi Belajar.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa peserta kuliah Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup terhadap ketercapaian UNNES sebagai kampus konservasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dengan responden sebanyak  101 mahasiswa  dari  5 fakultas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mata kuliah PLH sangat besar kontribusinya untuk membekali mahasiswa terlibat dalam upaya konservasi kampus. Pelaksanaan 7 pilar konservasi yang dimulai sejak tahun 2010, menurut 94,5% mahasiswa menyatakan cukup sampai sangat baik. Beberapa hal yang perlu ditingkatkan adalah  menambah keanekaragaman spesies tumbuhan, tidak hanya tanaman keras, tetapi juga buah-buahan dan tanaman berbunga dengan struktur tajuk berlapis sehingga menyediakan habitat dan makanan bagi fauna. Kebersihan toilet dan kelancaran persediaan air perlu dijaga, trasportasi internal kampus disediakan dengan kendaraan bebas polutan. Kesadaran mahasiswa untuk membuang sampah dengan pemilahan masih perlu ditingkatkan, demikian pula  kebijakan nirkertas dan penggunaan energi bersih.  Jika hal ini terwujud maka pembangunan berkelanjutan di kampus UNNES akan terwujud. Abstract

Recycle is needed to increase quality of air, water and soil. This research aims to utilize of waste wood saws as mushroom planting media and patchwork to material in packaging the go - green media (Fung - Cube). The research was conducted on March - May 2016. The mushroom planting media utilize waste wood saws mixed sucrose, wheat bran, CaCO3 with a moisture content of 65% and inokulan. Waste wood saws used as formulation mushroom media for maintain form of baglog. Patchwork used material for packaging Fung - Cube. Patchwork sewn or pasted to be accessories on besek. The result showed utilization of waste wood saws and patchwork can reduce two types of wastes simultaneously through Fung - Cube. Go - green materials were used Fung -Cube that expected to support of sustainable development through paradigm changes utilization of waste which pay attention balance of environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to got the information about student’s scientific attitude and creativity of product and correlation both of it in enviromental issues through project based learning. This research was conducted from January to June 2015. Sample in this research were 34 students of 2014 grade in FKIP Biologi UR used parameters were (1) scientific attitude with 4 indicators (curiosity, cooperative, carefulness and discipline); (2) creativity of product. Observation instrument managed by reseacher and the realibility values based Alfa Cronbach is 0.70-0.87. The creativity was scored through product (report) by using portofolio instrument, with descriptors were: Initiative (collecting information), inovation (environmental issues that are happening), variation of idea (way of display data), and suitable idea and their solution. The data analyzed was using SPSS. Descriptive statistic were percent, mean, standard deviation and inference statistic (Multiple regretion). Mean values shows that student’s scientific attitude was 79,99 (good), and the creativity of product was 80,10 (good). Positive correlation among curiosity, cooperation, carefulness and discipline give contribution as 68% to determine the creativity of product. Separately, each aspect of student’s scientific attitude give contribution for creativity of product were: curiosity (60%), carefulness (57%), discipline (48%) and cooperative (47%). The conclusion is student’s scientific attitude and creativity of product is in good category. It means that there are correlation between student’s scientific attitude and the creativity of product in environmental issues through project based learning in FKIP Biologi UR.Key Words: Student’s Scientific Attitude, Creativity, Environmental Course, Project Based Learning.
