Abstract

ABSTRAK   Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi antara media tanam arang sekam dan batang pakis dengan intensitas penyiraman air kelapa terhadap pertumbuhan Cabai merah keriting (Capsicum annum L.). Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode rancangan acak lengkap dengan dua faktor tiga kali ulangan. Dari data pengamatan dianalisis dengan analisis varians (ANAVA) dua jalur dan dilanjutkan dengan uji membandingkan rata-rata setiap perlakuan atau Estimated Marginal Means. Hasil penelitian tinggi batang pada minggu I F hitung 4,305 > F tabel 2,508; minggu II F hitung 0,864 < F tabel 2,508; minggu III  F hitung 1,190 < F tabel 2,508; minggu IV F hitung 1,812 <  F tabel 2,508. Dan diperoleh hasil jumlah daun F hitung 1,389 < F tabel 2,508. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh media tanam arang sekam dan batang pakis berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan cabai merah keriting (Capsicum annum L) ditinjau dari intensitas penyiraman air kelapa. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan yang paling optimal terjadi pada tanaman cabai merah keriting dengan perlakuan media tanam 2 (1 arang sekam : 3 batang pakis) dan intensitas penyiraman air kelapa yang paling efektif pada perlakuan penyiraman1x4 hari.   Kata Kunci:  Media tanam arang sekam dan batang pakis, intensitas penyiraman air kelapa, pertumbuhan tanaman cabai merah keriting (Capsicum annum L).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Energi merupakan pokok bahasan yang bersifat dasar dalam ilmu fisika. Selama ini diyakini bahwa energi dapat berubah menjadi massa, atau sebaliknya. Energi juga dianggap merupakan hal yang berbeda dengan momentum. Namun kedua keyakinan ini terbukti salah saat ditinjau menggunakan postulat perubahan nol. Berdasarkan postulat perubahan nol, dibuktikan bahwa energi tidak dapat berubah menjadi massa, atau sebaliknya. Selain itu ditemukan juga bahwa energi dan momentum adalah hal yang sama.   Kata kunci : energi, massa, postulat perubahan nol, momentum

Abstract

This research aimed to finding out the national character values involved in science concept of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah MI and how is the mapping form of it. This is library research on Curriculum 2013 focusing on the basic competence offered in science subject of Class IV who uses the same book as their teacher. Things to be analyzed in this research are national character values in science subject. This research uses qualitative approach by describing the mapping of national character in science subject of MI. data analysis techniques such as data reduction, data display, dan conclusing drawing/verification.This research discovers that national characters in science concept of class 4 of MI are: spirituality, honesty, discipline, hard work, curiosity, responsibility, achievement respect, friendship and communication, love to country, nationalistic spirit, and care towards environment. The mapping form of national character values on basic competence follows the main competence that it implements which leads to spiritual, social, knowledge, and skill main competences. National character values of basic competence that implement religious and social main competence exist in all themes, while national character values that implement knowledge and skill main competence exist in particular themes depending on the materials. Keywords:      mapping, national character value, elementary science subject, the curriculum 2013

Abstract

Pemahaman guru biologi kelas XII SMA se-kota Ternate terhadap pembelajaran genetika  berpendekatan konsep ditemukan masih tergolong rendah (4,3%).  Pembelajaran genetika berpendekatan konsep yang dimaksud adalah konsep-konsep genetika yang ada direorganisasi dengan tanpa melihat urutan waktu kemunculannya sehingga memunculkan kerangka konseptual yang jelas. Konsep-konsep genetika direorganisasi menjadi tujuh konsep utama yaitu: pengertian genetika dan ruang lingkupnya, materi genetik, reproduksi materi genetik, ekspresi atau kerja materi genetik, perubahan materi genetik, perekayasaan materi genetik, dan keberadaan materi genetik dalam populasi.  Pemahaman guru terhadap organisasi konsep genetika dapat tercermin pada perencanaan pembelajaran yang dibuatnya. Penelitian yang dilakukan pada SMA se-kota Ternate ini bertujuan mengungkap perencanaan pembelajaran genetika berpendekatan konsep yang tertuang dalam perangkat pembelajaran yang dibuat oleh guru. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah perangkat pembelajaran berupa silabus dan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran  (RPP) masing-masing berjumlah 7 berkas, dan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berjumlah 4 berkas. Analisis terhadap seluruh silabus dan RPP ditemukan bahwa pembelajaran genetika tidak dirancang menggunakan pendekatan konsep, namun menggunakan pendekatan sejarah. Analisis terhadap Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) diketahui bahwa LKS disusun berdasarkan silabus dan RPP yang materinya tidak dirancang menggunakan pendekatan konsep. Materi genetika tidak disusun LKS-nya jika materi tersebut tidak dapat ataupun tidak memungkinkan dilaksanakan menggunakan metode praktikum. Pembelajaran genetika hendaknya dirancang oleh guru menggunakan pendekatan konsep bukan pendekatan sejarah, agar konsepnya menjadi mudah dipahami oleh siswa. Abstract

Aplikasi bakteri sebagai pemacu tumbuh pada tanaman telah banyak dilakukan di negara-negara maju. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengurangi penggunaan pupuk dan pestisida kimia yang terbukti telah menyebabkan penurunan kualitas tanah dan berkurangnya populasi hama non target. Actinomycet merupakan kelompok bakteri yang banyak dimanfaatkan untuk penghasil senyawa antibiotik dan hormon pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1). memperoleh isolat lokal Actinomycet yang memiliki potensi sebagai bakteri pemacu tumbuh pada tanaman budidaya khususnya tanaman jagung, (2). Mengetahui potensi pemberian kelompok isolat actinomycet pada pertumbuhan tanaman jagung. Isolat diambil dari beberapa sampel tanah di wilayah karesidenan Surakarta. Isolat yang diperoleh dikarakterisasi secara morfologi dan fisiologi berupa kemampuan dalam pelarutan fosfat dengan menggunakan media Pikovskaya agar. Aplikasi bakteri dilakukan pada tanaman jagung usia 21 hst. Parameter pertumbuhan pada tanaman jagung berupa: tinggi batang, panjang akar, kadar klorofil daun, serta biomassa tanaman. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah sebanyak 70 isolat Actinomycet dengan rincian sebagai berikut: Merapi (18 isolat), Sangiran (10 isolat), Tahura (12 isolat), Gondangrejo (5 isolat), Persawahan Jaten (14 isolat) dan Karst Wonogiri (11 isolat). Pertambahan tinggi batang dan panjang tertinggi pada pemberian isolat Merapi dan Jaten. Kadar klorofil tertinggi daun pada pemberian isolat Merapi, sedangkan penambahan biomassa tanaman yang paling baik adalah pada pemberian isolat Gondangrejo.Keywords: Actinomycet, PGPR, jagung

Abstract

Impaired forests by logging may still have a role in germplasm conservation. This study aims to determine the diversity of understory bird species in production forests to identify how important the role of logged-over forests in maintaining diversity and preserving species of birds, especially understory birds. The research was conducted at PT Balikpapan Forest Industries (BFI) and PT Triwira Asta Bharata, East Kalimantan. Observations were made on various logged-over forest blocks with varying degrees of damage ranging from minor to severe.  Data were collected in 32 days at PT BFI and 12 days at PT Triwira Asta Bharata.  Every day 24 mistnets of 10 m x 4 m were opened from 06:00 until 17:00 (11 hours/day) and checked every 15 - 30 minutes. The trapped birds were identified and released immediately. The study captured 696 birds consisting 105 species of 28 families.  There are 20 species from 4 families listed as protected species under Government Regulation (PP No. 7/1999) on the preservation of plant and animal species. Based on Strategic Guidance of National Species Conservation 2008 - 2018, 14 species from 5 families were included in the conservation priority list. When referring to the IUCN Red List, there are 75 species bearing conservation status of Least Concern, 28 species Near Threaten and 2 species Vulnerable. Two species were listed in Appendix II CITES.  From these figures, it is concluded that production forests that have been logged still have an important role in maintaining the diversity and preserving understory birds.

Abstract

The success of learning can not be separated from the ability of teachers in developing learning models. Appropriate learning model is basically aimed at creating an effective learning conditions and fun so that students can achieve optimal learning outcomes and achievements. One of the learning model that can be used in biology learning especially on circulation system material in human is cooperative learning one of them is learning model of Probem Based Learning (PBL). The purpose of this research is to measure the result of biology study and analyze the influence of cooperative learning model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) technique on the circulation system material to the biology learning result of SMP Negeri 7 Tuban students in the odd semester of academic year 2016/2017. This research method using experiment method. 2 classes selected with purposive sampling engineering in class VIII H as a classified experiment and VIII D grade as class control. The subjects of this study were each of 20 students per class that were randomly simple random sampling. Data in this research is obtained through several ways of data collection, namely the dissemination of biological learning test results, as well as observations of teachers and students at the time of learning. The data that have been obtained from the test of biology learning result will be analyzed first with prerequisite test of data analysis in the form of: normality test and homogeneity test with 5% significance level or (α = 0,05). The next stage is hypothesis tested using t test with 5% significance level (α = 0,05). The result of Biology research of experiment group average is 80,4 while control group is 75,5. Based on the results, it can be concluded that learning Problem Based Learning Model (PBL) effect on Student Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

The research titled the Implementing of Contextual Teaching and  Learning to Improve of the Critical Thinking Skills of the Students in the Subject of Environmental Problematics have done in 2013. This study generally aims to improve students' critical thinking skills in the subject environmental problematic. The critical thinking skills consist of skills to formulate the problem statement, analyze the argument, questioning and answering, evaluating of information source credibility, observation skill, and the skills of interact with the others. This research is classified as classroom action research carried out in two cycles. Every cycles consist of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The result showed that the CTL is able to increase the critical thinking skills of the students on the subject of environmental problematics. We recommended that CTL should be apply in the other subject with the same characteristic like environmental knowledge, advancer ecology, environmental pollution, etc. Keywords:CTL, critical thinking, environmental problematics

Abstract

This study aims to know the students of SMAN 5 Malang perceptions based on project-based learning with TPA Supit Urang Malang learning resources. This research is descriptive quantitative. The sample in this research are the students of class X MIA 7 SMAN 5 Malang academic year 2015/2016 which consisting of 33 students. The instruments in this research is the students’ perception questionnaire sheet consisting of 26 items assessment indicators. The indicator assessment include students' perception of learning materials, learning models, learning resources, handouts, and worksheets. Research results seen that the percentage of students' perception of learning materials is 97,5%, learning models is 97,5%, learning resources is 97,5%, handouts is 95,0%, and worksheets is 95.0%. Based on the percentage gained an average of 96.50% indicating that perception of the students are very good or very effective. Students feel happy and interested during the project-based learning with TPA Supit Urang Malang learning resources. Key Words : Perception, SMAN 5 Malang, project-based learning, TPA Supit Urang Malang

Abstract

Wadi is a sort of traditional foods that made of fish from Dayak tribe in Central Kalimantan. Wadi is made bythe addition of salt and lumu. People make wadi as a supply of side dishes during difficult seasons of fish andstock for farming, hunting, or collecting forest products. In wadi, there are several bacteria species that capablein degrading amylum and protein. The bacteria capability in amylum and protein degradation can be determinedby calculating the hydrolysis index. The aims of this study is to: (1) identify the amylolytic bacteria andproteolytic bacteria species from wadi, (2) determine the amylum and protein hydrolysis index on eachamylolytic bacteria and proteolytic bacteria species isolated from wadi, and (3) determine the amylolyticbacteria and proteolytic bacteria species that have the highest hydrolysis index. This research is descriptiveexplorative research. The research results showed that: (1) there were four isolates of amylolytic bacteriaisolated from wadi, i.e: Enterobacter agglomerans, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Acinetobacter baumannii, andMicrococcus varians, and there were five species of isolated proteolytic bacteria from wadi, i.e: Enterobacteragglomerans, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Nitrococcus mobilis, Acinetobacter baumannii, and Micrococcusvarians, (2) the amylum hydrolysis index of Enterobacter agglomerans is 3.77; on Pseudomonas fluorescensis 3.00; on Acinetobacter baumannii is 4.16; and on Micrococcus varians is 7.23. The protein hydrolysis indexof Enterobacter agglomerans is 3.22; on Pseudomonas fluorescens is 2.25; on Nitrococcus mobilis is 1.67; onAcinetobacter baumannii is 3.42; and on Micrococcus varians is 3.45, (3) Micrococcus varians has the highestamylum, i.e: 7.23 and protein hydrolysis index is 3.45.
