Abstract

Rubeola, also known as measles, that can lead to serious complications and death and one of the world’s most contagious viral diseases. Immunisation against measles started in the 1960s and has dramatically reduced the incidence of measles. The virus, which produces a distinct rash that appears within days of exposure, can spread quickly, and can produce severe complications. Treatment is mainly symptomatic, preventing and controlling dehydration, providing adequate nutrition, and infection control measures. Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent measles virus infection.

Abstract

Leptospirosis is one of the most important zoonoses worldwide and is a major public health problem in many countries. The disease is caused by spirochetes of the genus Leptospira and is transmitted through contact of abraded skin or mucous membranes with contaminated rodent urine, water, or soil. It is estimated that there are more than one million cases of severe leptospirosis per year worldwide. Leptospirosis can cause severe multiple organ failure with a mortality rate as high as 50%. Early recognition, diagnosis and treatment of leptospirosis can reduce morbidity and mortality. This overview will look out Leptospirosis thoroughly from the epidemiological burden, pathogenesis, clinical presentation and diagnosis, the current treatment and preventive leptospirosis

Abstract

Introduction: The smoking ban policy in Indonesia has not been fully complied with by the community, one of which is the policy of prohibiting smoking in schools. Smoking behavior at school is influenced by several factors such as knowledge, environmental influences, experience, and perception. One factor in the lack of compliance with the no-smoking policy in schools is the perception of a smoking ban. Objective: This study aims to determine students' perceptions regarding smoking bans in the school environment. Method:  This research uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach. Result and Discussion: In terms of information, it has run optimally. In terms of social rules, the school has implemented the rules firmly, but it is not optimal enough because there are still students who do not obey. In terms of experience, students only know about the smoking ban in the school environment when they first enter JHS, have curiosity and pleasure when consuming cigarettes. The environment of students shows that parents and friends of students are very influential. Conclusion: Students' perceptions of smoking bans are influenced by parental factors that often smoke in front of children, and peers who become friends of students to smoke together. This makes students less compliant with the policies that have been implemented by the school

Abstract

Introduction: Performance-Based Capitation Policy is an effort to ensure FKTP performance to improve satisfaction, service quality and cost efficiency. Preliminary study, the capitation payment of the Talang Banjar Public Health Center in 2022 is only 88% with the achievement of AK 64.93 per mile, RRNS 2.12%, and RPPT 0.55%. Objective: This study aims to analyze efforts to achieve KBK indicators at Talang Banjar Public Health Center based on input and process aspects. Method: This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach with data collection using observation, document review and in-depth interviews with 15 informants who were selected by purposive sampling. Result and Discussion: The results show that the achievement of KBK Public Health Center indicators is influenced by available inputs, namely health human resources, infrastructure, funds, and methods. The process aspect shows obstacles to achieving contact number indicators, namely difficulties in Public Health Center accessibility, promotional and preventive efforts that are not optimal, as well as reporting healthy visits, non-specialist referral indicators are influenced by the behavior of patients who want to be referred and the availability of medical devices, while controlled prolanist indicators are influenced by the difficulty of routine monitoring of officers to participants.  Conclusion: A thorough evaluation is needed from BPJS Kesehatan, Dinas Kesehatan and Public Health Center leaders to identify problems that arise in achieving performance indicators as an effort to ensure the quality of service to NHI participants

The incidence of stunting in Jambi Province is still quite high, especially in East Tanjung Jabung Regency, namely at the Simpang Pandan Community Health Center, with a prevalence of 24.58%. Objective: This research aims to determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and clean water and the incidence of stunting. Method: This study aims to determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and clean water and the incidence of stunting. Results and Discussion: The results of the research show that there is no relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in toddlers, and there is a relationship between access to clean water and the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the working area of the Simpang Pandan Jambi Community Health Center. Conclusions: There is a relationship between access to clean water and the incidence of stunting in toddlers

According to health statistics and WHO data in Timor Leste reported dengue cases in 2020 from January to December 1,451 dengue cases were registered, of the total cases, 10 people died and most dengue cases came from Ermera sub-district, which was 318 cases. Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge level, home environment and preventive behavior towards families whose members are infected with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in Ermera sub-district. Method: This study uses qualitative methods with the research design used is an analytical survey method with a case study approach, which describes the characteristics of the population or phenomenon being studied and is occurring, aiming to study the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable once and at the same time. Result and Discussion: The results showed that the level of knowledge was good (p-value 0.048) but there was a meaningful relationship between the home environment of DHF families (p-value 0.019) and the relationship of preventive behavior (p-value 0.000) to the incidence of DHF. Conclusion: From the results of the study above, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the family home environment and preventive behavior with the incidence of DHF

Abstract

Introduction: Smoking has detrimental consequences on the development of diseases with inflammatory components, which cause tissue damage and cause the body to secrete more C-Reactive Protein (CRP). To ensure accurate diagnosis, a variety of techniques, including the latex agglutination method and the Fluorescence Immunoassay (FIA), are available for measuring CRP levels in human blood. Objective: This research is comparing the results of CRP testing performed on smokers at PT. ASA, Surabaya using the agglutination method and the FIA. Method: This research is analytic research with a cross sectional design. This research conduct in PT. ASA, Surabaya from May to June 2023. Result and Discussion: The results show that the CRP agglutination method shows negative results in 27 people (90%). Most of the CRP examination results using the FIA method show negative results in 27 people (90%). Conclusion: Diagnostic test for CRP agglutination using the FIA method obtain a sensitivity of 100% and a specificity of 100%. We can conclude that, there is no difference in CRP levels between the agglutination method and FIA
