Abstract

Introduction: Hyperemesis gravidarum is a condition of excessive vomiting during pregnancy, occurring before 20 weeks of gestation. Urinary tract infections (UTIs) involve infections affecting any part of the urinary tract, and pregnant patients are more susceptible to UTIs. Placenta previa is a condition where the placenta partially or completely covers the internal cervical os. These three conditions have significant impacts on maternal and fetal well-being, necessitating a thorough understanding of their pathophysiology, diagnosis, and appropriate management. Objective: To report a case of hyperemesis gravidarum, urinary tract infection, and total placenta previa in a 30-year-old female patient. Case Report: A 30-year-old G2P1A0 woman presented with complaints of vomiting more than 8 times per day and brownish spotting, later diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum, UTI, and total placenta previa. Result and Discission: Findings included ketonuria, bacteriuria, bleeding from a closed external cervical os, and ultrasound imaging showing the placenta covering the internal cervical os. Conclusion: The patient was hospitalized and received appropriate medical management.

Abstract

Introduction: Iron-deficiency anemia poses a significant health concern, particularly among adolescent girls, as it can adversely affect concentration and academic performance. According to the 2024 World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, a hemoglobin level above 12 g/dL is considered normal for individuals aged 15–24 years. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between screen time duration and sleep quality with the incidence of iron-deficiency anemia among grade X female students at SHS 1 Dukun. Method: A quantitative, analytical observational method with a cross-sectional design was employed. A total of 60 participants were selected through random sampling using the Slovin formula. Chi-square tests and odds ratios (OR) were used for statistical analysis. Results showed that 28 students (46.6%) had iron-deficiency anemia, while 32 (53.4%) did not. Result and Discussion: The analysis found no significant association between screen time duration and anemia. Conclusion: However, a significant relationship was found between sleep quality and anemia, with a p-value of 0.003 and an OR of 14.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescent pregnancy has become an increasing concern in the working area of Nagrak Public Health Center, Bandung Regency, over the past three years. In response, a reproductive health program targeting adolescents has been implemented; however, its effectiveness remains suboptimal. 0Objective: This study aims to analyze the root causes of the less-than-optimal implementation of adolescent reproductive health programs at the Nagrak Public Health Center and propose actionable solutions. Method: A qualitative research method with a case study design was employed, conducted between April and May 2025. Data were analyzed using a fishbone diagram to identify contributing factors. Result and Discussion: The findings reveal several challenges: under the "man" factor, adolescents lack sufficient knowledge, parental involvement is limited, and there is a shortage of trained healthcare workers. The "material" factor points to the absence of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for adolescent reproductive health services. Under the "method" factor, activities such as youth Posyandu and counseling sessions are not routinely conducted, and existing educational media are unengaging. Lastly, the "environment" factor highlights minimal support from schools and communities. Conclusion: To optimize the program, efforts must focus on enhancing adolescent access to information and services, strengthening parental and environmental roles, and improving the quality and availability of reproductive health resources at the public health center

Abstract

Introduction: The Community Forestry (HKm) program aims to empower forest farmer groups through sustainable management. Active participation from farmer groups is essential to ensure that land use does not damage the ecosystem, as well as paying attention to the socio-economic aspects of group members, such as income levels, education, and access to technology. Purpose: Analyzing the relationship between participation and the socio-economic characteristics of KTH members in HKM management activities in Sipoholon District, North Tapanuli Regency. Method: The approach used in this research is descriptive quantitative. This research will be conducted in 3 KTHs located in Sipoholon District, Tapanuli Regency, namely KTH Dolok Imun Lestari located in Simarpinggan, Huta Raja Hasundutan Village, Sipoholon District. KTH Dos Roha and KTH Lumban Gaol Lestari located in Simanungkalit Village, Simanungkalit Village, Sipoholon District, North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra. Result and Discussion: Only a few aspects of socio-economic characteristics have a strong relationship with involvement in HKm management activities, while most others do not have a significant effect. This finding is important to be the basis for planning empowerment programs, with a focus on factors that truly encourage active community participation. Conclusion: Based on socio-economic characteristics, income, number of dependents, cosmopolitanism and leadership are correlated with participation, while socio-economic characteristics such as age, education, land area and incentives are not correlated with participation.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the non-conformity of hazardous waste packaging aspects and infrastructure facilities with the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation Number 6 of 2021 concerning Procedures and Requirements for Hazardous and Toxic Waste Management. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using triangulation techniques and this research involved 8 informants who were responsible for the management of B3 waste. The results showed that the management of B3 waste at PT X has not fully met the applicable regulations. Several problems were found, such as rusty packaging conditions, leaking waste packaging, and unstable packaging lids, which led to the scattering of B3 waste. In addition, there are inappropriate infrastructure facilities, such as the presence of a rest area in the B3 waste storage building, which should not be permitted. The conclusion of this study is that Human Resources (HR) involved in hazardous waste management need to increase awareness regarding the handling of hazardous waste in accordance with PERMEN-LHK regulation No. 6 of 2021. Improving the quality of human resources is very important because it determines the success of performance in achieving the company's vision and mission.
