Abstract

Incontinence Associated Dermatitis (IAD) is an inflammation of the skin that occurs when urine or faeces come into contact with the perineum, causing discomfort such as pain, burning, and itching in the patient. One IAD management uses skin barriers containing moisturizers such as aloe vera and olive oil. Some of the aloe vera and olive oil compositions benefit the body. Namely, it can accelerate wound healing, anti-inflammatory, moisturize the skin, and antimicrobials. This study aimed to identify the influence of the aloe vera skin barrier and olive oil on iad prevention in immobility patients in hospitals. The population is patients who experience physical immobility and patients who have just entered without IAD at the Haji Adam Malik Central General Hospital Medan. The sample was 11 people (11 people as a control group and 11 as an intervention group), using purposive sampling techniques—data analysis using the Mann Whitney and Kruskal Wallis tests. The results showed differences in IAD values between the three groups, namely the aloe vera, olive oil, and control groups (p= 0.003). The average value of the control is the highest. This means that immunomobility patients who do not get the skin barrier of aloe vera or olive oil experience IAD the most while undergoing treatment at the hospital

Lecturer performance is work achievement achieved by lecturers with academic responsibilities. Low lecturer performance can lead to poor work results and unable to complete the work. One of the factors that can affect the performance of lecturers is work stress. A high workload can cause work stress due to working under time pressure to achieve the target so that work productivity decreases. When the stress level experienced is higher, the lecturer's performance decreases. This systematic review aims to explore information and analyze the relationship between stress levels and lecturer performance. Descriptive research with a systematic review method is the research design used. The research collects several journals related to the topic through research from the online google undergraduate database for review and analysis. The results of the journal search obtained 40 journals in accordance with the inclusion criteria. Based on the analysis of the relationship between stress levels and lecturer performance from 10 journals, it was found that 10 journals (100%) said that stress levels were closely related to lecturer performance. The level of stress is very important for lecturers in carrying out the duties of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Suggestion: It is hoped that the control with job design and gathering activities every 6 months can reduce stress levels at work.

Abstract

Infarction Acute Myocardial (AMI) is damage to myocardial tissue due to severe ischemia that occurs suddenly. The incidence of heart disease undergoing inpatient and outpatient treatment in hospitals in Indonesia in 2019 was 239,548 people (WHO). IMA is included in the top 10 categories of non-communicable diseases that are the cause of death in hospitals throughout Indonesia, around 6.25%. Troponin T is a cardiac contractile regulatory protein molecule that can measure normal and abnormal levels to help diagnose AMI. The purpose of this study was to analyze troponin-T levels in AMI patients, and the average (percentage) results of troponin-t examinations in AMI patients at St.Elisabeth Hospital Medan 2022. This type of research is an observational descriptive designed. The sampling technique in this study is retrospective. The population are 240 people and the research sample are 93 people. The results of this study conduc on 93 patients show an average troponin T level of 13.07 ng/ml, SD 17.44949, most of the patients were 64 men (68.8%) and 29 women (31 ,2%) with the lowest age are 37 years and the highest are 79 years. The results show that 94.6% of AMI patients experienc an increase in troponin T levels. Patients with acute myocardial infarction when an infarction occurred, it will experience increased levels due to the release of the troponin T enzyme through membrane leakage due to necrosis, so it will show a peak value on examination.

Abstract

The provision of breast milk to infants is proven to have many benefits for the health of mothers and babies, but the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding at the global and national levels is still low. Breastfeeding self-efficacy is an important factor that greatly influences the exclusivity and duration of breastfeeding for infants. The level of self-efficacy of breastfeeding can be influenced by the socio-demographic conditions of the mother. This study aims to determine the relationship between age, education, occupation and parity with breastfeeding self-efficacy in pregnant women. Analytical research method Cross sectional. The sample of the study was 30 people in the final trimester of pregnancy by purposive sampling. The independent variable data collection (age and parity) used a closed questionnaire and the dependent variable (breastfeeding self-efficacy level) was measured using a BSES questionnaire with a Likert scale. Bivariate data analysis using Chi-square test. Almost all (90%) pregnant women are of healthy reproductive age, more than some (53.33%) are primigravida, most (66.67%) have secondary education, more than some (60%) do not work, and some (50%) ) had a low level of breastfeeding self-efficacy. The results of statistical tests showed that there was an effect of parity with breastfeeding self-efficacy in pregnant women (p=<0.01), while age, education and occupation did not affect breastfeeding self-efficacy (p>0.05). It is recommended for health workers to pay more attention to and improve breastfeeding education for primigravida who do not have breastfeeding experience so that they have high breastfeeding self-efficacy.
