Abstract

West Sumatra is one of the provinces in Indonesia where the agricultural sector is very important for the regional economy. To encourage the development of the agricultural sector, an appropriate strategy is needed for each location. One of the efforts to encourage the development of the agricultural sector is to pay attention to the availability of agricultural facilities and infrastructure, so that there are no obstacles for producers that increase production costs and harm farmers. The purpose of this study was to determine the model and prediction results of Farmer Exchange Rate in West Sumatra using the Double Exponential Smoothing Method from January 2023 to June 2023. The prediction equation for NTP in West Sumatra Province in 2023 obtained is 〖 F〗_(t+m)=110,5049+(m)0,1773with a value of α = 0.99, β = 0.0115 and MAPE value = 0.99%. The Exchange Rate in West Sumatra from January 2023 to June 2023 tends to increase. The increasing Farmer Exchange Rate in West Sumatra can have a positive impact on the agricultural sector and improve the economic welfare of farmers.

Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a measure of the success of human development in a region, both between countries and within regions. To identify the factors influencing HDI, regression analysis can be used. Regression analysis has several assumptions that must be met, one of which is the assumption of multicollinearity. owelvelr, in practicel, mullticollinelarity issulels arel ofteln foulnd in relgrelssion analysis. Abstract

Job vacancies are information that is really needed by many people with a very fast update rate, because it is related to the acceptance deadline. Speed of information and suitability of abilities are basic criteria in the job search process when applying for jobs. However, the distribution of this information is quite difficult to obtain when you have to look for the source of the information in certain places first. For this reason, a solution is needed to simplify these difficulties. The software development methodology used in the system development process is the waterfall methodology. In this methodology, several steps are taken to build software, namely software engineering, system analysis, system design, system implementation, system testing. By carrying out stages based on the methodology, it is hoped that the application will be built according to needs and can be used by consumers. The Job Seeker Application is an application that can help disseminate job vacancy information for job seekers and employers to assist the job application process directly for job seekers.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian global dengan memajukan pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal dan menciptakan lapangan kerja. Di tengah persaingan yang semakin ketat, UMKM perlu mengadopsi strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan daya saing. Nikyta Seprai adalah sebuah UMKM di sektor tekstil di Kota Padang Panjang yang menghadapi tantangan dalam menentukan kombinasi produksi seprai yang optimal. Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, metode optimasi, khususnya Integer Linear Programming, sangat penting untuk meminimalkan biaya bahan baku dan memaksimalkan keuntungan. Metode Simpleks dan metode Branch and Bound menawarkan pendekatan yang menjanjikan untuk mengoptimalkan produksi seprai di Nikyta Seprai. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi penerapan metode-metode tersebut di Nikyta Seprai, mengidentifikasi tantangan dalam proses produksi, dan mendemonstrasikan bagaimana metode optimasi dapat mengatasi tantangan tersebut, menghasilkan efisiensi produksi yang lebih baik dan keuntungan maksimum. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa masalah penentuan kombinasi produksi seprai dan alokasi sumber daya untuk mendapatkan keuntungan maksimum di Nikyta Seprai yang diselesaikan menggunakan Integer Linear Programming, khususnya melalui metode Simpleks dan metode Branch and Bound. Solusi optimal menghasilkan keuntungan sebesar Rp 842.500, dengan jumlah produksi seprai karet sebanyak 10 buah, seprai rimpel sebanyak 1 buah, dan seprai 2 in 1 karet sebanyak 1 buah, dengan menggunakan software POM-QM V5.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of the Internet of Things (IoT) brings convenience across various domains, but raises its own challenges, particularly concerning data security and privacy. Cryptography and steganography are two techniques used to secure data. Cryptography protects information by encrypting messages, while steganography hides the existence of data in other media. The embedding of data into other media like medical images necessitates specialized approaches to prevent potential distortion that may compromise their integrity. Distortion in medical images could lead to erroneous diagnoses. In this study, we introduce a reversible data embedding technique capable of returning storage media to its original state without distortion, utilizing the Difference Expansion of Quad and Modulus Function. This approach employs 2×2 pixel blocks to embed 3-bits of data. Our experiments on six medical images demonstrate that the proposed method offers substantial embedding capacity while maintaining high visual quality. The embedding capacity can reach 0.4834 bits per pixel (bpp) with a PSNR of 49.4330 dB. Experimental findings indicate that the proposed method outperforms previous techniques.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi memberikan kemudahan dalam segala aspek kehidupan, tetapi juga menimbulkan tantangan tersendiri, terutama terkait keamanan data dan privasi. Kriptografi dan steganografi merupakan dua teknik yang digunakan untuk melindungi data. Kriptografi mengamankan informasi dengan mengenkripsi pesan, steganografi menyembunyikan keberadaan data pada media lain. Penyisipan data pada media digital seperti gambar, audio, dan video membutuhkan metode khusus agar tidak terjadi kerusakan pada media tersebut setelah ekstraksi data. Pada penelitian ini, diusulkan metode Reversible Data Hiding (RDH) pada audio digital. Metode ini dapat mengembalikan media penampung kedalam bentuk aslinya tanpa terjadi kerusakan menggunakan metode Difference Expansion dan Fungsi Modulus. Metode ini diimplementasikan pada audio digital dengan menyisipkan data pada selisih 2-bit LSB pasangan sampel audio. Berdasarkan eksperimen yang kami lakukan pada 15 audio digital pada metode yang diusulkan, kapasitas penyisipan cukup besar dengan kualitas audio yang baik. Kapasitas penyisipan dari metode yang diusulkan dapat mencapai 0,2515 bps (bit per sampel) dengan PSNR 103,5869 dB. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa metode yang diusulkan memiliki kinerja yang unggul dibandingkan dengan metode sebelumnya.

Abstract

Cryptography can be used in prevent data, one of the preventive measures is by encoding messages. Cryptography is the study of encoding messages or ways of data protection. In encoding the content of messages, there is an algorithm conventionally used nowadays, the RSA (Rivest-Shamir-Adleman) algorithm. The RSA algorithm is a method that has two different keys for each encryption and decryption process but is still interrelated to maintain security in processing the data. In finding the key, the RSA algorithm utilizes the rule of prime number. The larger the prime number used as a key, the harder it is to find a large number as a factor. This research describes the process of encrypting text messages, the content of documents using the RSA algorithm, and the key generation process. Those processes are done by converting plaintext into ciphertext using ASCII code, which is 256 long, and using PKCS (Public Key Cryptography Standards) is the encryption process on the RSA algorithm. This study uses Pyhton programming language to implement the RSA algorithm on text messages and documents. As a recommendation to the subsequent studies, it is proper to use algorithms or other programming languages to secure messages.

Abstract

In this article, the concept of f_q-derivation in BE-algebra is given by first defining a mapping φ_q^f, which is a self-map of BE-algebra. Based on this definition, the concept of f_q-derivation in BE-algebra is constructed. The results of this research are the definition of f_q-derivation in BE-algebra and its properties. These properties are constructed from the mapping φ_q^f, regular, fixed set, and kernel of a f_q-derivation in BE-algebra.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of smartphone usage duration and frequency on smartphone addiction in early childhood. With the increasing use of technology among children, it is crucial to understand how these factors affect addiction levels. The study employs binary logistic regression to analyze data collected randomly from 100 parents of children aged 4 to 5 years who attend kindergarten in Padang, Indonesia. Smartphone usage duration is measured in hours per day, while frequency of use is measured by the number of uses per day. The analysis results indicate that both the duration and frequency of smartphone use have a significant impact on smartphone addiction. However, based on the odds ratio value, the duration of smartphone use has a more significant influence compared to frequency on addiction levels. These findings provide valuable insights for parents, educators, and policymakers in developing strategies to manage and limit smartphone use in early childhood to prevent addiction risks that could affect their development. This study is expected to serve as a reference for further research and more effective interventions in managing technology use among children.

Abstract

Quantile regression is an extension method of simple linear regression whose work is to separate or divide data into certain quantiles. This method minimizes the asymmetric absolute residual and estimates the conditional quantile function. Parameter estimation in the quantile regression method does not require the parametric assumption of normality. The data in this study are generated from different distributions. The distribution of the independent variables in this study comes from the t distribution, normal and exponential distribution. Meanwhile, the error distribution comes from the chi square distribution. This research produces various models of the selected quantiles. The estimated parameter values at each quantile are almost close to the initial values set. This research found the best model at quantile 0.5 by looking at the smallest MSE value of all quantiles of 1.2662. The best model obtained is .
