Abstract

As urban landscapes evolve rapidly and competition among cities intensifies for economic growth and global recognition, the imperative to understand the dynamics of City Brand Gestalt (CBG) has heightened. This study aims to delve into the architecture of CBG by assessing the impact of its four dimensions (namely Story, Sensescape, Servicescape, and Stakeholder) on shaping Bitung City's overall brand gestalt. This research holds significance in formulating development strategies for CBG aimed at improving the economy of Bitung City, particularly in the tourism sector. A quantitative descriptive and causal research design was adopted by distributed and collected 250 self-administered online questionnaires from Bitung City visitors between January and May 2023. Structural Equation Modeling using SmartPLS was employed to determine the significant influence of each dimension on brand gestalt. The results confirmed the significant role of the 4S dimensions namely, story, sensescape, servicescape, and stakeholder in shaping the overall city brand gestalt.  In summary, this research underscores significant implications for city marketers and policymakers, emphasizing the necessity of crafting an appealing and positive brand narrative to enhance the image of a city. This, in turn, can bolster the city's economy, particularly in terms of tourism and other sectors.

Abstract

This study examines the Cooperation Agreement between the the Social Security Provider (BPJS) for Health and Hospitals and how it impacts the delay in claim payments at RSUD Datu Beru Takengon in 2023. The research employs a juridicalempirical method focusing on the analysis of the Cooperation Agreement documents. The findings reveal that coding discrepancies are the major cause of claim delays, with a total of Rp 4,370,529,800 in delayed claims throughout 2023. While the cooperation agreement outlines rights and obligations for both parties, it lacks specific attention to resolving delayed claims. Therefore, the agreement needs improvement by emphasizing the prevention of claim delay cases to avoid negative impacts on hospitals and healthcare services.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of interest rates and inflation on the demand for consumer loans at commercial banks in North Sumatra and provide a comprehensive understanding of how these economic variables affect consumer borrowing behavior. The data for this research is limited to the years 2015-2022, with observations taken quarterly (Quarter 1, Quarter 2, Quarter 3, and Quarter 4). The unit of analysis is the region of North Sumatera, resulting in a total of 32 samples. The regression model developed in this study reveals that interest rates have a negative impact on the demand for consumer credit in North Sumatera. Specifically, as interest rates increase, the cost of borrowing rises, leading to a decrease in consumer credit demand. Furthermore, the study finds that inflation also negatively influences the demand for consumer credit. An increase in inflation erodes the purchasing power of consumers, which in turn reduces their ability to take on additional debt.By understanding these relationships, the research provides valuable insights for policymakers and financial institutions. It highlights the importance of monitoring and managing interest rates and inflation to maintain a stable demand for consumer credit, which is crucial for the overall economic health of North Sumatera.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze and discuss the influence of celebrity attractiveness and credibility on purchase intention with the mediating variable of brand image of Samsung smartphones in the city of Surakarta. This study employs a quantitative approach using questionnaires for data collection. The study requires at least 50 respondents due to its two independent variables, but Chi-Square SEM testing suggests a sample size of 100 to 200 for optimal sensitivity. Therefore, the ideal number of respondents falls within the range of 100 to 200 individuals to meet the criteria. Non-probability sampling is utilized, targeting Samsung smartphone users aged approximately 17-35 in the Solo Raya area. Hypothesis testing and data analysis are carried out using Partial Least Square (PLS) with assistance from the SmartPLS 4 software tool. This study reveals several significant relationships: firstly, celebrity attractiveness has a considerable influence on brand image. Secondly, celebrity credibility also holds significant sway over brand image. Thirdly, brand image significantly affects purchase intention. Fourthly, celebrity attractiveness significantly impacts purchase intention. Fifthly, celebrity credibility positively affects purchase intention. Sixthly, attractiveness has a positive effect on purchase intention mediated by brand image. Seventhly, credibility similarly has a positive influence on purchase intention mediated by brand image.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between compensation, work environment, job satisfaction, and employee performance at PT Paskomnas Niaga Utama using a path analysis model with Smart PLS software version 4.1.0.0. The exogenous variables considered are compensation and work environment, while the endogenous variables examined are job satisfaction and employee performance. This research also investigates the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between compensation, work environment, and employee performance. The study utilizes a non-probability sampling approach, specifically a saturated sample of 75 respondents, and adopts a quantitative post facto method. The findings reveal that compensation and work environment have a significant positive impact on job satisfaction and employee performance. Additionally, job satisfaction plays a crucial mediating role in the relationship between compensation, work environment, and employee performance. These results contribute to a deeper understanding of the factors influencing job satisfaction and employee performance within the context of PT Paskomnas Niaga Utama. The practical implications of this research emphasize the importance for companies to prioritize compensation strategies and create conducive work environments to enhance employee satisfaction and performance, ultimately facilitating the achievement of organizational goals. However, it's essential to acknowledge the limitations of the study, such as the reliance on a specific sampling method and the potential for other unexplored variables to influence the outcomes. Further research could address these limitations and provide a more comprehensive understanding of the dynamics at play.

Abstract

This study has the main objective to explore and analyze the method of calculating non-tax state revenues for Mooring and Hygiene at the Nizam Zachman Ocean Fishing Port, with reference to Government Regulation Number 85 of 2021. In addition, this study also aims to explore and analyze non-tax state revenue optimization strategies, with a special focus on efforts to minimize potential losses at the Nizam Zachman Ocean Fishing Port. The research method applied is sociological empirical legal research with legal, case, historical, comparative, and conceptual approaches. The results showed two aspects of conclusions, first, related to the calculation of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) for Mooring and Cleanliness at the Nizam Zachman Ocean Fishing Port, which has followed the formula based on Government Regulation No. 85 of 2021. The value of mooring services varies according to the Gross Tonnage (GT) of the ship, and the calculation of cleanliness involves the GT factor of the ship and the number of days. Second, optimization of fisheries business requires improvement in calculation formulation, emphasis on operational governance to reduce potential losses, and the search for new levy opportunities by considering Fisheries Management Areas (WPP) as a representation of fishing areas and fish resource potential, as well as the Non-Fisheries Product Collection Tax State Revenue (PNBP PHP) policy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the Fraud Triangle Theory on Financial Statement Fraud. The research approach used is quantitative research, where the variables employed are financial stability, ineffective monitoring, and change in auditor, moderated by an audit committee on fraud. The study was conducted in the manufacturing industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, utilizing secondary data with a purposive sampling technique. The sample size consists of 144 companies between the years 2019-2022. The analytical tool used is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), processed using EViews 12 application. The research findings indicate that financial stability has a positive effect on financial statement fraud, effective monitoring has a negative effect on financial statement fraud, change in auditor has no significant effect on financial statement fraud, and the audit committee as a variable does not moderate financial stability's effect on financial statement fraud. The implications of this research are to enhance transparency in financial reporting so that irregularities in financial statements can be detected, thereby impacting management decision-making. It also raises stakeholders' awareness, including company management, about the dangers of financial fraud, leading to more effective prevention and detection measures that can be implemented within the company.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the specific individual characteristics influencing women's entrepreneurial decisions in Indonesia. Age, education, interest in entrepreneurship, and welfare were all factors considered to be individual characteristics. The fifth Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) batch was used for this study's secondary data. Based on the required characteristics, samples were collected using the purposive sampling technique. The sample criteria that should be met in this study were women aged 14 years and over and answering the employment questionnaire. After cleaning the data, there were 15,900 female respondents. The technical data analysis used probit model regression. The findings of this study demonstrated that women's entrepreneurial decisions were significantly and positively influenced by age. Women's entrepreneurial decisions were also significantly and positively influenced by individual welfare. Individual entrepreneurial decisions, however, were not significantly influenced by education level or interest level. Further, the results of this research can provide information to the government and serve as a reference in formulating women's empowerment policies and increasing the quantity and quality of entrepreneurs in Indonesia, especially women. This research demonstrated conformity with Astner H.'s research results regarding the role of women in entrepreneurship. However, differences exist in the supporting factors for women entrepreneurs in Anthopouloue T. H.’s research results. The recommendation from this study is the need to continue to encourage the role of women in developing their potential to increase the level of welfare through entrepreneurship in Indonesia.
