Abstract

This study investigates the factors that affect purchasing decisions for beauty products in Indonesia, utilising data collected from questionnaires administered to 102 respondents through Google Forms. By employing purposive sampling, the research ensures the relevance and reliability of the data, followed by rigorous validation and analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results suggest that traditional factors such as price and trust do not significantly impact customer satisfaction or purchasing behaviour. In contrast, while trust positively influences customer satisfaction, it does not directly lead to purchase decisions, and the mediating role played by customer satisfaction is minimal. Notably, the analysis reveals a significant moderating effect of word of mouth combined with price, suggesting that positive recommendations can enhance customer satisfaction even at higher price points. Based on these insights, beauty brands in Indonesia should prioritise improving product quality and implementing effective marketing strategies that emphasise perceived value. Building strong consumer trust and leveraging positive word-of-mouth through influencer partnerships can strengthen customer relationships in this competitive market.

Abstract

Analysis of Advertising Effectiveness Through Instagram in the Management Study Program IIB Darmajaya with the Customer Response Index (CRI) Approach aims to identify the success of advertising carried out by the Management Study Program at IIB Darmajaya through the Instagram social media platform. This study uses two important analytical frameworks, namely the Customer Response Index (CRI) to evaluate the competitive position of the study program in the use of Instagram as a marketing tool. CRI helps in assessing the relative position of the study program compared to its competitors in the realm of social media. Through this methodology, the study will explore the effectiveness of advertising campaigns carried out on Instagram. Overall, the results show that, while marketing strategies have been successful in creating awareness and understanding, there is room for improvement in increasing interest and turning intentions into tangible actions. For this reason, a more in-depth analysis of the factors that cause obstacles in the conversion process is needed, so that marketing strategies can be adjusted to improve the performance of study programs in the market.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of digital transformation on Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in West Bangka Regency, focusing on economic performance and competitiveness. Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, the study surveyed 54 BUMDes selected through simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Results indicate that digital marketing communication strategies, management information system implementation, digital literacy, and government support positively influence BUMDes' economic performance and competitiveness. Digital marketing strategies most strongly affect economic performance, while economic performance most significantly impacts competitiveness. The model explains 61.2% of economic performance variation and 68.7% of competitiveness variation. These findings highlight the importance of a holistic approach to BUMDes digital transformation, involving digital marketing capabilities, effective information systems, digital literacy enhancement, and targeted policy support. The study contributes to understanding rural economic development strategies by providing empirical evidence on the relationship between digital transformation and BUMDes performance. It offers practical implications for BUMDes managers and policymakers in designing effective digital strategies for sustainable rural economic development.
