Abstract

Instructional materials integrate in schools have not character building. In other hand, the goverment mandates to integrate character ​​in school. The purpose of research is investigation implementasion effect of physics instructional materials with integration character building in the learning cycle 7E model to the learning outcomes of students on grade XI SMAN 4 Bukittinggi. The type of research is a quasi experimental with the randomized Only Control Group Design. The population of reseach was all class XI SMAN 4 Bukittinggi enrolled in 2013/2014 academic year. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique with XI IPA1 and class XI IPA2 chosen as samples. The research instrument are the objective test for cognitive learning outcomes, observation sheets to affective and psychomotor domains. Data analysis use t-test at the 0.05 significance level for the cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Base on data analysis, implementasion of physic intructional materials with integration character building in learning cycle 7E model have significant effect to learning outcomeS of student on grade XI SMAN 4 Bukittinggi

Abstract

The importance of evaluating school learning outcomes is one of the curriculum changes to achieve the successful implementation of the 2013 curriculum. evaluation is often done in terms of knowledge, so that learning outcomes tests can be used as evaluation tools. The tests which are used in the process of evaluating learning outcomes made by educators themselves or originated from educator guidebooks and question banks. Based on the results of interview with several educators, they have not believed yet that the questions given reflect the actual measuring instrument, so a problem analysis is needed. Therefore, making a test analysis application assisted with the PHP programming language can be a solution to this problem. This study aims to make a valid and practical test analysis application on physics learning assisted by a PHP programming language. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the conclusion of this study is the application of test analysis has been produced on physics learning assisted by a very valid PHP programming language with an average of 81 and very practical according to some educators with an average of 88.8.

Abstract

Integrated science learning in 2013 curriculum should be conducted by teacher in Junior High School. In this case, the student worksheet is required to support the integrated science learning. But integrated science learning can’t be implemented well. As solution of this problem is to design student worksheet that orient webbed model. The objective of this research is to determine the description, validity, practicality, and effectiveness of this student worksheet. Type of this research is the research and development or R & D. As research design is before and after of treatment. There are three instruments to collect the data namely validity sheet, practicality sheet and student competence sheet. Technique of data analysis in this research is compare mean test. There are two results of this research. First, student worksheet consist of title, manual learning, competency to be achieved, learning material, support information, learning material discussion, assigment, work prosedures, and evaluation. Validity of student worksheeet can be categorized into very valid with average validity value is 80.38. Second, implementation of student worksheet is practice in integrated science learning. On the other hand, student worksheet is effective implemented in integrated science learning

Abstract

One approach suggested by the government to be applied in the learning process is a contextual approach. The contextual approach stimulates students to organize knowledge by relating it to facts in their lives. Physics studies natural phenomena with all their regularities so that it will be suitable if collaborated with a contextual approach. Implementation of contextual approaches in learning physics is determined by the textbook used. Based on the results of a survey conducted in several schools shows that textbooks used in schools come from several different publishers. Given the number of textbooks in circulation, it is necessary to know whether textbooks have been able to facilitate the application of contextual approaches in learning. The solution to this problem is to assess the extent of the second semester XII high school physics textbooks that are widely used today to facilitate the application of contextual approaches. This study aims to determine whether the presentation of high school physics textbooks for Class XII Semester 2 which is widely used today has facilitated the application of the CTL approach in learning. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach in presenting the results of research. The population in this study are all high school physics class XII textbooks used in Indonesia and circulating in West Sumatra and 2 (two) high school physics textbooks that have been assessed and determined by the ministry of education and culture. Sampling in this study with Nonprobability Sampling technique with the type of Purposive Sampling. The research data were obtained from documentation studies, namely textbooks used in learning physics. The research instrument consisted of a physics textbook presentation sheet related to the contextual approach component. The data in this study were analyzed using simple statistics, the analysis conducted on textbooks published by Yrama Widya had a percentage of 80% with the category "in accordance", textbooks published by Erlangga had a percentage of 69% with the category "in accordance", books teaching published by Grafindo Mediapratama has a percentage of 63% with the category "in accordance" and books teaching published by Tiga Srangkai has a percentage of 55% with the category "quite in accordance". The results of the research that have been carried out state that the textbooks analyzed in general have facilitated the contextual approach component in learning.

Abstract

Objective of this research is to determine the effect of using worksheet based Learning Starts With A Question by integrating the character value to physics learning outcomes of 11th grade students in SMAN 6 Padang. Type of research is quasi-experiment with Randomized Control Grup Only Design. A superior class as population of this research is All of 11th grade students in SMAN 6 Padang in academic 2013/2014 except IPA 1. Data of learning outcomes was data of this research. The mean equality test is a way to analyze the data. From of analyzis of data, we can conclude that there was a significance effect of using the worksheet based Learning Starts With A Question to learning outcome of 11th grade students in SMAN 6 Padang for domain cognitive, domain affective, and character values at significance level 5%

Abstract

21st Century learning requires a variety of skills that must be mastered by students. This 21st Century requires students to have 4C skills, namely: critical thinking, creative, collaborative and communicative. In addition, the 21st Century requires students to have the ability to explain phenomena in everyday life. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and practicality of the physics module by integrating contextual learning and environmental literacy. The type of research was Research and Development (R&D). The object of this research was physics module integrate contextual learning and environmental literacy in a limited trial to one of the XI classes of SMAN 7 Padang. The data source of this research was experts who include Physics lecturers at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP as validators, physics teachers at SMAN 7 Padang practitioners, with class XI MIA 3 students as physics module users. Data collection instruments used in the study were : validity sheets, practicality test sheets, data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis of product validity and product practicality. Based on data analysis from the research that has been done can be presented three research results. First, the validation of the physics module integrate contextual learning and environmental literacy with an average value of 85.12 which was excellent category. Second, the practical physics module integrates contextual learning and environmental literacy with an average value by teacher was 91.33 and practicality by students was 93.73 according to the category of practice very good.

Abstract

Based on the 2013 curriculum the implementation of science learning in junior high school was developed as an integrated science or integrated science subject. This concept of cohesiveness is demonstrated by integrating science concepts from the fields of physics, chemistry and biology. In fact in the school the implementation of science learning is still taught separately and the lack of understanding of students regarding the integration of science material. The solution to this problem is to implement a Shared Model Integrated IPA Student Book with Cohesion and Adhesion Themes in the Environment. This study aims to investigate the effect of integrated science student books on a shared model with the theme of cohesion and adhesion to the environment towards the learning outcomes of VII grade students of SMP 4 Padang. The type of research is Quasi Experiment Research and the research design is Randomized Control Group Only Design. All class VII students of SMP 4 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year were the study population. Sampling in the study was carried out by purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study consisted of two classes namely the experimental class and the control class. The research instrument consisted of learning outcome test sheets to assess aspects of knowledge and performance assessment sheets for aspects of student skills. Data in this study were analyzed by using two similarity test analysis on average, simple linear regression test, and product moment correlation analysis. The results of data analysis show that the average value of the experimental class is higher than the control class in the competency of knowledge and skills. The results of the regression analysis indicate that there is a low relationship between the use of integrated science student books shared models with the theme of cohesion and adhesion to the environment towards student learning outcomes in aspects of knowledge and skills. The contribution of the use of integrated science student books in the shared model with the theme of cohesion and adhesion to the environment towards the improvement of knowledge competency learning outcomes was 5,9% while the increase in skills competency learning outcomes was 8,41%. The results of the broad-scale effectiveness test for aspects of classical completeness knowledge of 55.55% are categorized as ineffective, while for the aspects of classical completeness skills of 100% are categorized as effective by category A.

Abstract

One of the factors that lead to the lowness of lerners competence is less interesting learning process. The use of rare learning media worksheets make learners become less active in learning procces. This study purpose to determine the effect of worksheets based scientific approach in inquiry learning model toward learners competence of class X SMA Negeri 13 Padang. Type of this research is a quasi-experimental design with randomized control group only design. The population was all learners of class X SMA Negeri 13 Padang, academic year 2016/2017. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The reseaarch instruments used in this study are competent sheet (to examine attitude competence), result of final test (to measure knowledge competence), and perfomance assesment sheet (to measure skill competence). Data analyzed by testing the equality of two average. The equality of two average test is only to calculate competence value of knowledge dan skill, while attitude competence value is determine using result data description from each meeting. The result showed the average value of learner at two classes are 83.33 and 80.00 for knowledge competence, 85.90 and 81.16 foe skill competence. t testing obtained alternative hypothesis is accept for knowledge competence. t’ testing obtained   alternative hypothesis is accept for skill competence. the conclusion is hypothesis stated that there is a significant effect in application-based worksheets learners the scientific approach in inquiry learning model toward physics competence of learners class X SMA Negeri 13 Padang

Abstract

Achievement of the competence of learners on the subject of physics is not in accordance with the expected because of the mastery of physics students are still less and not actively involved in the learning process. In addition, the learning model used is still not diverse and teaching materials that have not been incorporated. Therefore, the researcher uses instructional materials values in SAVI learning model (Somatic, Audio, Visual, Intellectual). This study aims to apply the concept of teaching and learning in the learning model SAVI (Somatic, Audio, Visual, Intellectual) to the physics competence of students of class X MIPA SMAN 2 Bukittinggi.The type of research conducted is Quasi Experimental Research with Random Group Design Group design. The study population is the X class students from MIPA SMAN 2 Bukittinggi registered in the academic year 2016/2017, as many as 6 classes. Sampling was done by Purposive Sampling technique. The sample in this research is class X MIPA 4 as experiment class and class X MIPA 2 as control class. The data of this study include three properties, namely knowledge, attitude and skills. Assessment tools for learning, attitude observation sheets for attitudes, and performance appraisals for skills competencies. The data obtained were analyzed using two equity test equations for all competencies, a simple linear regression test and a real test level of 0.05 for knowledge competence and experimental class.The results show the average. Then the average is higher than the control class 78.3. The average level of learning skill classes is 85.64 higher than the control class. From the results of data analysis can be concluded that the application of teaching materials with character value gives a significant influence on the physics competence of students of class X SMAN 2 Bukittinggi to the competence of knowledge, attitude and achievement at the real level of 0.05

Abstract

This research described the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with authentic assessment to achieve the student’s competence in natural science. This research was conducted in SMPN 4 Kubung with taking learning material about vibration, wave, sound, and light. This research was done to solve the problem about the implementation of teacher centered learning. The students just write and listen what is presented by teacher so it can affect to the student competence. Type of research was quasy experimental research with randomized control group only design. The population were the students grade VIII SMPN 4 Kubung in the 2014/2015 academic year with sampling technique was purposive sampling. This research used three instruments, those are test sheet of knowledge competence, self assessment sheet of attitude competence, and performance sheet of skill competence. The result of this research could be presented based on data analysis. First, the class which use PBL models get average value in knowledge competence, attitude competence, and skill competence respectively 80.42, 89.29, and 91.96. Second, the use of PBL models has given significant effect toward science competency of students grade VIII  SMPN 4 Kubung
