Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of the using of LKS in learning Problem Based Instruction (PBI) towards the achievement of competence of grade IX students of SMAN 2 Pariaman. The types of this research is Quasi-eksperimental. The population of this research are all of the students of grade XI of SMAN 2 Pariaman. The taken of this sample is by Cluster Random Sampling, so that taken grade XI IPA 3 as experiment class, and grade XI IPA 2 as control class. The data of the research are the results of cognitive study, affective, and psikomotor. The results of research shows by using equality test of two averages, t test in cognitive and psikomotor and t’ test in affective, found that -t(1-1/2α)< th >t(1-1/2α).  So, using LKS PBI give study result better than using LKS that is giving at school.   Keywords :  Worksheet, PBI, Physics, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Curriculum 2013 has four core competencies to be achieved consisting of spiritual competence, social attitude competence, knowledge competence, and skill competence. But in reality it is not as expected. One factor is the lack of use of learning resources that can improve the competence of studens in accordance with the demands of the curriculum 2013. This study aims to design a product in the form of learning materials that contain content of emotional intelligence values on Physics materials about addition vectors and linear motion. The type of research is research and development (R & D). In this study there are 10 steps, namely potential and problems, data collection, design, product testing, design revision, trial usage, product revision, mass product. However, in this study only done until the third stage, the product design is doing research to make the product design but not followed by making and testing the product. The results of this study based on the analysis that has been done is a descriptive product of physics learning materials that are charged emotional intelligence values based on the meaning of materials and concepts of Physics on the topic of vector and linear motion for the imple- mentation of curriculum 2013 on the learning of class X / SMA / MA students.

Abstract

Students’ achievement on Physic subject has not reached the expectation, yet. It is caused by students’ low-mastery in Physic subject, and the learning material which do not have character values in it. The purpose of this research were to find out the effect of Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) learning model which had character values in the learning material towards the increasing of students’ achievement of second grade of SMAN 12 Padang. This research used Pre-experimental Designs and One-Group Pretest-postest. The instruments of this research were writing test that was used in pre-test and post-test for testing the knowledge competence, observation sheet for testing the behavior competence, and rubric score for testing skill competence. Linear regression and product moment correlation were used to analyze the data with at the level of significance 0.05. The results revealed that the application of SSCS which had character values in the learning material had positive effect towards students’ achievement in learning Physic for students at the second grade of SMAN 12 Padang for these three competences at the level of significance 0.05

Abstract

Student physics competency can be achieved by applying the problem based learning (PBL) learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the Physics competence of MAN 1 Kerinci students between classes using the Problem Based learning model and those not and to determine the percentage of influence of the application of the Problem Based learning model on the Physics competence of MAN 1 Kerinci students. The population in this study were all students of class X semester 1 in MAN 1 Kerinci who were enrolled in Academic Year (TA) 2018 / 2019. The technique used in sampling was cluster random sampling. The sample used was class X MIPA 1 as an experimental class and X MIPA 2 as a control class. The data in this study are the physics competencies of students after being given treatment including attitude competencies, knowledge and skills. After conducting research and continuing with analyzing the research data it can be concluded that the application of PBL learning models has a significant influence on the achievement of physics competence in class X MAN 1 Kerinci. The application of PBL learning model influences the attainment of attitude competence by 15.52%, the achievement of knowledge competence by 21.12% while the achievement of students' skills competence is 16.75%.

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes are caused by competence of problem solving is low. student can increase their competence of problem solving  with solve the hot issue. The issues raised can be a problem and a solution of energy crisis in the form of wind energy. Presentation material can use worksheets that have integrated wind energy materials. This research  aims to : 1 ) Investigate the influence of LKS integrated wind energy material to the learning outcomes Physics at  XIth SMAN 6 Padang 2 ) Investigate the contribution of wind energy material integrated worksheets for learning outcomes physics class XI SMAN 6 Padang. Type of research is quasi-experimental study with randomize control group only design. The population of this study were all students of class XI MIA ( Mathematics and Natural Sciences ) SMAN 6 Padang listed in the Academic Year 2014 / 2015. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The research data in the form of data learning outcomes of students competency of knowledge, attitudes and skills as well as the integrated value data LKS wind energy materials. Data were analyzed using two similarity test average at significance level 0.05, regression and correlation test on the competence of knowledge, attitudes and skills. Conclusion The study are integrated LKS influence of wind energy on the material work and energy , harmonious vibration, momentum and impulse to the study of students of class XI SMAN 6 Padang accepted at the 0,05 significance level. The amount of the contribution of LKS integrated wind energy strong, and the competence of skills is strong

Abstract

The process of nuclear physics learning at this time has not fulfilled the desired learning outcomes. Based on the observations, most of the nuclear physics topic is abstract and nuclear physics learning has not been supported by laboratory activities. The solution of this problem is to do laboratory activities with virtual laboratory activities. The application that will be used in this activity requires a guide that matches the characteristics of students. This research aims to develop valid and practice student worksheets (LKM) as a support for virtual laboratory activities on the topic of nuclear fission reactions. The LKM was developed using the ADDIE method that is limited to the development stage. The object of this research is an LKM used as support for virtual laboratory activities. The data collection instrument used in this research is a validity questionnaire and practicality questionnaire. Based on the research that has been done, the conclusion is the LKM has been valid and practice to be used in the nuclear physics learning on the topic of nuclear fission reactions.

Abstract

Project Based Learning Model (PjBL) is one of teaching and learning model that is supported by 2013 curriculum.  This model consists of systematic project procedures that can help students to find out the concept and understand how to work scientifically. It also can guide the students to think creative, active, independence and critically. When the students are active, creative and independence, it means they can dominate learning activities (students’ center). So this model is suitable to apply for the students. This research aims to find out “The effect of using Project Based Learning Model (PjBL) toward Physic Competence on first year student’s at Senior High School 3 Padang”. The types of this research was quasi-experimental research with randomize control group only design. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling. There were two classes: X MIA 4 as control class and X MIA 7 as experimental class. The data consisted of students’ attitude, knowledge and skill competencies. In collecting the data, the writer used written test for knowledge competence, observation for attitude competence and likert scale for skill competence.  The data was analyzed by using test “t” formula for all competencies. The students’ score was compared with t-table at significance level of 5% which considered with degree of freedom (df). Based on data analysis, the writer found that there is significant effect of using project based learning (PjBL) toward physic competence on first year student’s at Senior High School 3 Padang in both competencies knowledge and skill but for attitude competence is rejected . So it can be concluded that; first, there is not significant effect of using project based learning (PjBL) toward students’ attitude competence on first  year student’s at Senior High School 3 Padang; second, there is significant effect of using project based learning (PjBL) toward students’ knowledge competence on first year student’s at Senior High School 3 Padang;  third, there is significant effect of using project based learning (PjBL) toward students’ skill competence on first year student’s at Senior High School 3 Padang

Abstract

The 21st Century is marked by the progress of Science and Technology which is developing rapidly. The 2013 curriculum is one of the government's efforts to answer the challenges of the 21st century. Learning demands in the 2013 curriculum are student-centered learning, integrating literacy, and independence of students in learning. A new reality that hasn't been done well. The solution to overcome this problem is the use of new physics literacy modules. The purpose of this research is to determine the validity and practicality of using new physics literacy modules. This type of research was Research and Development (R&D). The object of research was a new physics module containing literacy in fluid material. The instrument to validate this module was the questionnaire sheet on the validity test. The questionnaire sheet on the validity test consists of four components, namely the appropriateness of content, presentation, linguistics, and graphics. The validator to approve the validation of the physics module consisted of three physics lecturers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP. The instrument to test this practical module was the questionnaire sheet on the practicality test. The questionnaire sheet on the practicality test consists of four components, which are easy to use, attractiveness, clarity and benefits. The physics module practitioners consisted of two physics teachers and thirty-five students of class XI IPA 3 at SMA N 6 Padang. The data analysis technique was descriptive statistics. Based on the analysis of the data, it can be concluded that the average value of the validity component of the physics module containing the new literacy is 89.35 categorized very well. For the average value of the practicality component according to the teacher is 80,48 and practicality according to students is 83.13 in the excellent category. Thus, the average value of the validation and practical physics modules in new literal fluid can be categorized into excellent categories.

Abstract

Student`s critical thinking character is still far under the ideal value. This condition is predicted because critical thinking character is not trained during learning process One effort could applied to train student`s critical thinking character by using problem solving model. Therefore researcher explores model of physic problem solving applied in senior high schools and find the connection with student`s critical thinking character and learning outcomes. Kind of research is descriptive ex-post facto. Popullation taken is all of X grader of Senior High Schools in Padang city. Sample is defined by purposive sampling technique and gives SMA N 3 Padang as representative of ex-International Standardized School , SMA N 5 Padang as representative of National Standarized School, and SMA N 12 Padang as representative of Regular School. The instrument in this research are interview form, voice recorder, observation sheet and questionnaire. Data is analyzed by using content analysis to describe model of problem solving. Result of research shows that model of problem solving is depend on curriculum. Ex-International Standardized School has been applying Curriculum 2013, which based on scinetific approach, meanwhile two others are not . Model of physic problem solving based scientific approach can train student`s critical thingking more. Beside that, scientific approach applied in model of phyisc problem solving gives better learning outcomes

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki tujuan untuk menghasilkan manusia dan karakter yang berkualitas. Namun, berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan di lapangan ternyata masih belum sesuai dengan harapan, ini diketahui dari hasil wawancara dan kuesioner. Siswa masih kesulitan dalam berbagai cara seperti minat, motivasi, belajar, keterampilan berpikir dan belajar awal. Pemikiran kritis menentukan posisi terendah di antara indikator-indikator ini, selain melakukan penilaian guru, ia juga tidak menggunakan penilaian yang sesuai dengan kurikulum 2013. Belajar siklus 5E dimana memperbaharui langkah-langkah membuat percakapan dengan O'Malley Penelitian ini termasuk jenis R&D yang terkandung dalam buku Sugiyono. Setelah validasi,nilai validasi adalah 87% dan itu dalam kategori sangat valid. Ini adalah contoh dalam pembelajaran fisika.
