Abstract

In this 21st century, people are faced with an era of globalization that requires high thinking skills.  In line with the 2013 curriculum, teachers are required to carry out HOTS-based learning.  Factors that determine students can think at a high level are the teacher, students, learning models and teaching materials used.  One of the teaching materials used by teachers is student worksheets (LKS). The results of preliminary observations, it was found that the ability of HOTS students is still low based on the analysis of the results of the UAS grade XI semeseter 1 SMA in Padang.  In addition, the LKS used in West Sumatra is diverse and the availability of HOTS is unknown.  Therefore, research on the analysis of the availability of HOTS on Worksheets for Class XI Students Semester 1. The purpose of the study was to determine the availability of HOTS on the Physics Worksheets for Class XI High School Students Semester 1.This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach.  The population data in this study were all physics textbooks for class XI in semester 1 used by 23 schools in West Sumatra.  Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The data in this study were taken using LKS presentation analysis instruments and data collection techniques through documentation studies.Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the analysis conducted on the availability of HOTS on the Physics Worksheet for Class XI High School Students Semester 1 related to the availability of HOTS components shows that the LKS who obtained the percentage of indicators on the highest HOTS component is the LKS SMA I 28.80%  in the HOTS Less Available category.  Whereas the Physics Worksheet that got the lowest percentage of indicators on the HOTS component, namely the 19.69% SMA IV LKS, was in the HOTS Unavailable category.

Abstract

Achieving the physics competence students in high school has not optimal. This case is caused by low students learning activities in the learning process, teachers rarely assosiate the material learned with the previous material so that students are less motivation to learned. For it used constructivism learning approach which are helped by virtual laboratory worksheet. The purpose of this reseach is to improve the physics competence achievement through the constructivism learning approach and virtual laboratory worksheet at grade XI of SMAN 15 Padang. This reseach used is a Quasi Experiment reseach with Factorial Design 2x2. The population this reseach was the students of grade XI MIA in SMAN 15 Padang which registered at he academic year of 2018/2019. The samples taken by using Purpose Sampling. The instruments are observation sheet for attitude competence, post-test for the knowledge competence, performance for skills competence. The data of attitude competence obtained were analyzed by using chart analysis and the data of the knowledge and skill competence were analysis by using two directions of variant. Based on the research conducted and data analysis. Fisrt, average attitude competence of the experiment class more than the control class. Second, knowledge and skill competence shows that the first working hypothesis is accepted while the second and third hypothesis is rejected. This shows that there are significant effect of applying the virtual laboratory worsheet in constructivism learning towards the students attitude, knowledge and skill of cmpetence at the 0,05 α.

Abstract

Instructional media used by educators in the learning process of physics have not been optimal in motivating students to be active and independent in learning. In addition, there are many schools that do not have teaching materials in accordance with the demands of the curriculum in 2013 that emphasizes the scientific approach, teaching materials in schools is still limited to print teaching materials and interactive yet. The solution of this problem through interactive multimedia handout that has been designed. This study aims to produce interactive multimedia handout by using application-based lab course scientific approach to learning physics class X SMA valid and practical. This research is the development (research and development) using a model of R & D Sugiyono. This model consists of 10 stages, but this study only to the seventh stage, include: to recognize the potential and problems, gather information, product design, validate designs, revised the design, test new products, and revise product. Subjects were 3 people validator, 2 educators, and students in one class X SMA 15 Padang to practicalities. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques. Based on research that has been done, the resulting product in the form of interactive multimedia handout. Product research is at a very valid criteria for the validation of aspects of content, presentation, kegrafikan, and language with an average value of 90.93%. Product research is at a very practical criterion by educators from the aspects of ease of use, efficiency of learning time, and benefit with an average value of 94.5%. Product research is also on a very practical criterion by learners with an average value of 83.2% from the aspects of ease of use of navigation, ease of use guidelines, the use of multimedia, and the motivation of learners

Abstract

The science teaching in the 2013 curriculum should be implemented by integrating teaching material and literacy skill. The real conditions at school show that science teachers have difficulty to integrate among teaching materials of Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Besides that, integrated teaching material in integrated science textbooks and integration literacy in science teaching were low. A solution of this problem was to apply the adaptive contextual teaching model on grade VIII  students in SMPN 8 Padang. The type of this research was quasi experimental with randomized control-group only design. The population of this research was students of grade VIII in SMPN 8 Padang, while the samples of this research were taken by using purposive sampling technique. Experiment group in this research was grade VIII B students, while control group was grade VIII H students. The instruments of this research were observation assessment for attitude competence, written test for knowledge competence and performance appraisal for skills competence. The data which obtained were analyzed by descriptive statistics and two compare means test. The result of the analysis shows that the application of adaptive contextual learning model gives a significant effect on the attitude, knowledge and skill competency of the grade VIII students in SMPN 8 Padang at 95% confident level.

Abstract

Integrated students competence is important in 2013 curriculum. In fact, integration of students competence does not conducted yet. One of the effort that can be done to solve the problem was to apply students worksheet by integrating the various of material in Physics learning. This students worksheet was predicted effective to increase Physics competence of students. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of using students worksheet by integrating Mathematics, Science, Technology, Disaster, and Character value (MSTDC) at topics of motion, gravitation, and energy based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) toward Physics competence of students at eleventh class of MIA SMAN 1 Padang. The design of Quasi experiment research was randomized control group only design. Population of  research was students at eleventh class of MIA SMAN 1 Padang that listed in 2014/2015 learned years. Sample was gotten with purpossive sampling technique. Data of research includes knowledge, attitude, and skill domain. This data were analyzed by applying compare mean test. Based on the result of data analysis can be stated two of research results. First, the competence of students used ICT students worksheet by integrating MSTDC had mean value at knowledge, attitude, and skill domain respectly 91.38; 89.45;91.67. Second, the use of ICT students worksheet by integrating MSTDC at topics of, gravitation, and energy give significant effect toward Physics competence of students at eleventh class of MIA SMAN 1 Padang  on the real  level  of  0,05.

Abstract

One of the factors that lead to low yields physics student learning is the lack of ability in problem solving and learning physics at school is not linked to the conditions faced by the students. How to overcome this problem is to use an integrated LKS motion system of the human body with the type cooperative learning model Thingking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS). This study aims to Investigate the effects and contribution of LKS integrated motion system of the human body to the learning outcomes of students of class XI SMAN 5 Padang.This type of research is a Quasi Experiment Research by design Randomized Control Group Only Design. The study population was a class XI SMAN 5 Padang enrolled in the academic year 2015/2016. The results showed physics learning outcomes on average the experimental class higher than the control class. Based on the equality test two mean using the t test, obtained thitung > ttabel. This means that the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Based on the correlation analysis, obtained contributions LKS integrated motion system of the human body for the cognitive domain was 89.47%, 43.18% are affective and psychomotor is 52.83%. Conclusion of the study is the hypothesis that, There is a significant influence LKS terintegrai motion system of the human body to the learning outcomes of students in the physics Cooperative learning model type Thingking Aloud Pair Problem Solving in class XI SMAN 5 Padang on the real level of 0.05, and There is a strong contribution LKS yanng integrated motion system of the human body to the learning outcomes of students in the physics Cooperative learning model type Thingking Aloud Pair Problem Solving in class XI SMAN 5 Padang, acceptable

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the HOTS-oriented worksheets in the guided inquiry model on the material of impulse momentum and harmonic vibrations in class X SMA/MA. The study was Research and Development (R&D) by using Borg and Gall model, which consisted of potensial problems, data collection, product design, design validations, product trials, product revisions, trial usage, product revisions and mass products. However, this research was limited to the design revision. Validation is done using instruments which was filled by experts. The validation of this research was carried out by three physics lecturers at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Padang State University. Based on the validation result by three validators, the validity obtained were 93.1 % in a very valid category. This means that HOTS-oriented worksheets in the guided inquiry model can be used in the physics learning process on impulse momentum and harmonic vibrations in class X SMA/MA.

Abstract

Implementation of Physics learning needs a learning material to support the goal achievement of Physics learning. An alternative solution to achievement the goal of Physics learning is apply the Physics learning materials based ICT by integrating Mathematic, Sciences, technology, disaster, and character values (MSTDC) in the learning of Physics. The purpose of this research is to generate Physics learning material that good description, validity, practicality, and effectivity. Type of this research is the Reserch and Development (R & D). Object of this research is physics learning materials based ICT by integrating MSTDC on classical mechanics especially at continuous system. The instrument for collecting data in this research is validation sheet, practicality sheet, learning outcomes test sheet, and observation sheet. There are two result of the data analysis. First, this learning material is valid with average value 87,50 by expert and 88,03 by practitioners. Design of learning material consists of home, identity learning materials, introduction, learning materials, exercises, evaluation, reference, download, chat, and discussion forums. Second, Physics learning material based ICT by integrating MSTDC is practice and effective are used in physics learning process
