Abstract

The application of the 2013 curriculum in each education unit aims to enable students to increase knowledge, build character values and noble character in themselves in order to behave well in daily life. This means that there is continuity between attitudes, knowledge and skills that cannot be separated. The reality in the field of student competency achievement is still low and dominated by knowledge and skills competencies without involving attitude competency as a result of the participant. This study aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes using integrated social intelligence teaching materials and the teaching materials which are available in schools at SMAN 16 Padang. The type of research conducted is quasi-experimental research with a randomized posttest only control group design. The population in this study were all of class X students of SMAN 16 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 Academic Year. Sampling in the study was conducted by combining purposive sampling technique and cluster random sampling. The sample in this study was class X MIA 1 as the experimental class 1, and class X MIA 3 as the experimental class 2 which numbered 72 students. The data in this study were analyzed using analysis of score to value conversion, descriptive statistics, normality test, homogeneity test and two similarity test averages at the 0.05 significance level for all student competencies. The results of the study concluded that there were significant differences in student physics learning outcomes from the aspects of social attitudescompetency, knowledge, and skills of students between students using Social Intelligence Integrated Physics Teaching Materials and the students who did not use Physics Integrated Social Intelligence Teaching Materials. It is proven from the data analysis of all competencies. After getting the analysis of social attitudes competency data, knowledge and the skills normally distributed data and homogeneous, then through the two similarity tests on average, the social attitudes competency is obtained tcount = 3.789, in the knowledgecompetencythe tcount = 3.544, and in the skillscompetencyt count = 2.538 , while the ttable value (0.975; 70) = 1.9966 which proves that the tcount is greater than t table, with Ho acceptance criteria if or -1.996 <th<1.996 then it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted, and it means there are significant differences in learning outcomes between the application of integrated social intelligence teaching materials with teaching materials at school.

Abstract

In 2013 curriculum, science teaching should be implemented in integrated  form in Junior High School. The real conditions show that integrated science teaching in school can’t implemented well. An alternative solution of this problem is to apply the integrated science textbook in adaptive contextual teaching model. The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of integrated science textbook on our digestive health theme in adaptive contextual teaching model toward the competences of the grade VIII students in  SMPN 15 Padang. The type of research was quasi experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. Samples in this research were taken by using the purposive sampling technique. The research instruments consist of observation sheet for attitude competency, written test for knowledge competency and performance assessment for skill competency. Data of this research were analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis and compare mean test for attitude, knowledge, and skill competences. The results of data analysis show that the implementation of integrated science textbook on our digestive health theme in adaptive contextual teaching model gives significant effect on the attitude, the knowledge and the skill competences at 95 % level confidence of grade VIII students in VIII SMPN 15 Padang.

Abstract

One of factor causes low learning outcomes is using of student worksheets that do not support the achievement of all the competence of both aspects of knowledge, spiritual attitude, social attitude, and skills. The purpose of this research is  to investigate the impact of student worksheets containing comprehensive intelligence to physics learning outcomes in X grade SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. The type of this research is quasi experiment research with randomized control group only design. The population of this research is all students of X MIA grade SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP in the first semester of academic year 2014/2015. Sampling technique is total sampling. The  research’s  instrument are test sheet (multiplier choice) for knowledge, observation sheet for spiritual and social attitude, and performance  rubric  for  skills.  The result of this research showed that  the  mean  score  of  the experiment class is higher than control class. The  result of research states  that  there  is  effect of implementation worksheet students containing comprehensive intelligence to physics learning outcomes in X MIA grade SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP with 0,05 significance level

Abstract

This research is motivated by the facts in the field that students' understanding was low because students are not actively involved in learning. Learning activities of students can be optimized by the use of conducive equipment of learning. Equipment of learning is suitable to describe the active involvement of students in learning is student worksheet. The purpose of this research is to produce a student worksheet based on simas eric models on the content of measurement and vector that is suitable for physics learning in class X SMA / MA from the aspects of validity and practicality. The type of research applied is R&D (Research and Development) using 3 stages out of 4 4-D stages developed by Thiagarajan, et al. those are define, design, and development. Subject of the research are 33 students class XII from SMAN 3 Padang Panjang, 2 teachers Physics from SMAN 3 Padang Panjang, 4 Physics lectures from FMIPA UNP and a learning model developer. Validation of product are reviewed from two aspects those are the feasebility of equipment of learning and simas eric learning model. The analysis technique used in this research is quantitative analysing using formula momen kappa. The result of validaty of the feasebility of equipment of learning was 0,83 with very valid criteria and validaty of simas eric learning model was very valid with value 0,85. The result of practicality by the teacher was 0,81 with very practical criteria and practicality by students was practical criteria with value 0,79.

Abstract

The achievement of students competences (the integration between assessment’s aspect and characteristic) have not indicated the optimal result because there is no teaching material that integrates between the values of character and learning model. One way to overcome the problem is by making a teaching material as a module by using 5E cycle learning model. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of use an integrated module of character values in 5E cycle learning model toward physical competences students of the XI grade. The design of this research is quasi experimental research. The research uses randomized control group only design. The population of the research is grade XI IPA students of SMAN 7 Padang. In this research, the reseacher choose two classes to be given treatment. The research used purposive sampling technique so that it has been choosen XI IPA 5 as experimental class and XI IPA 4 as control class that each class consists of 40 students. In getting the cognitive aspect, the researcher does a test. Meanwhile, non test technique is done to get affective and psychomotor aspect. The data analysis is done by using t-test with significance level 0,05. Based on the result of the data analysis, it can be concluded that students competence in experimental class is higher than control class for three aspects of assessment. It can be said that the use of an integrated module of character values in 5E cycle learning model gives significant effect toward grade XI student of SMAN 7 Padang.

Abstract

In 2013 curriculum, the science learning was carried out in an integrated form. In the school of science learning conditions hasn’t been successful in implementing the integrated learning. A solution to this problem is the integrated science worksheet by integrating digital age literacy. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of integrated science student worksheet by integrating literacy on competency of grade VIII students. The type of research conducted was a quasi experiment with before-after design. The population in this research were all students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 13 Padang Academic Year 2017/2018. The sample in the research was grade VIII 2 which was obtained by purposive sampling technique. Research instruments for knowledge was written test, observation sheet for attitude aspect and performance assessment sheet forskillsaspects. Data analysis were statistical descriptive analysis and correlated comparision test. The results of this research are the use of integrated student worksheet by integraty digital age literacy gives significant effect on competency of student including, attitude, knowledge, and skill aspects at 95% confidence level. Thus, the use of Integrated science student worksheetby integrity digital age literacy is effective in science approach on grade VIII SMP Negeri 13 Padang.

Abstract

The achievement of students competence in natural science is not optimum. It is caused by the students worksheet used which cannot make students to learn independently and actively to find the concept of what they have learned. Therefore, it is necessarily the students worksheet that can be made students to learn independently and actively. Students worksheet which can be used is based on problem based learning model which is a completed concept map. The purpose of this research was to investigated affect of using student worksheet based on problem based learning model which is a completed concept map toward. It was quasy experiment and using randomized control group only design. The population of this research were all students in the first grade at SMPN 3 Bukittinggi who registered on academic year 2015/2016. The technique sampling was purpossive sampling. The Instruments used was written test for competence of knowledge, observation sheet for competence of attitude and performance assessment sheet for competence of skills. The technique of data analysis was Chi square on significance level at 0,05. Based on the result of data analysis showed that using students worksheet based on problem based learning model which is completed concept map in natural science learning, it give influence on students competence of knowledge aspect. The result of coefficient of kontingensi was 0,25. For competence of attitude aspect and skills aspect, using students worksheet based on problem based  learning model which is a completed concept map in natural science didn’t give influence

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of Project Based Learning on students' critical thinking abilities. The method of this study is a meta-analysis with a sample of 10 journals of education and research theses in national journals and instruments in the form of coding categories. The meta-analysis study shows that the effect of Project Based Learning on students' critical thinking abilities from the subject level of education, Project Based Learning is equally positive for both high school (SMA) and vocational levels (SMK) but is more effectively used by students in high school education. Meanwhile from subject matter subjects, Project Based Learning is more influential on Sound Wave material than other material. And from the subject of Media that is used, Project Based Learning  has a positive effect when using real or virtual media. Other findings show that Project Based Learning  has a high influence on students' critical thinking skills

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to detection of the worksheet effect based reasoning and problem solving to physic learning outcomes of 11 th grade student in SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung. The research of type is quasi exsperiment research and design is  randomize  control group only design. In this research, 11 th grade  students of SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung in academic 2013/2014 as population . The take of sampel was done  with  clutser random sampling technic. The research of data was learning outcome is three domains. They were  cognitive, psikomotor and afective. The data  was analyzed with mean equality test at significance level 5%. Outcome of research conclude that there effect was worksheet based reasoning and problem solving give significance  to learning outcome of 11th grade students in SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung  for cognitive, psikomotor and affective domains at significance level 5%

Abstract

The current physics learning process is still not in accordance with the expected conditions, because students are only able to understand the concepts, and have not been able to apply physics learning into daily. The solution of this problem is to use textbooks based on contextual learning and environmental literacy. This study aims to determine the level of practicality of textbooks on kinetic gas theory and thermodynamic materials based on contextual learning and environmental literacy for senior high school students in grade XI. The type of research used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) Sugiyono design. In evaluating the practicality according to the teacher and students consists of 4 components and 37 items assessed aspects. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis consisting of practicality analysis. The results of the practicality analysis of 1 teachers with an average value 95,43 and 35 students with an average value 88,88 categories are very well. The conclusion is that the textbook of kinetic gas theory and thermodinamycs based on contextual learning and environmental literacy for senior high school students in grade XI is practically used with a very well practicality level. So, the textbook is feasible to use when learning.
