Abstract

Learning according to the 2013 curriculum requires teachers to develop the quality of learning, especially in the use of teaching materials of physics learning. By using teaching materials students are more able to learn independently according to the activities in these teaching materials. The purpose of this research is to design the instructional materials based on inquiry, to find out the design of the inquiry-based teaching materials and the value of validity. Inquiry-based teaching materials can develop students' mindsets so that students can find concepts or materials learned so that students can shape their thinking skills. Type of research used is Research and Development (R & D) The object of this study is teaching materials based on inquiry. Based on data analysis obtained from 2 research. The first is the design of instructional materials based on inquiry. The second, the average value of expert validity with a value of 88 with criteria is very valid. It can be concluded that inquiry-based teaching materials have high scores with very valid categories for use in teaching physics class X SMA

Abstract

Every student has learning styles for receive information, but it tend at one of learning styles. The teacher should be using the student’s learning style with learning strategies. The background of this research is lack of implementation of learning strategies. The solution to solve this problem is to implement contextual learning strategy based VAK learning styles (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic). The population of this research is all students in grade VII at SMPN 34 Padang of academic year 2015/2016. The sample of this research use purposive sampling. Data of this reseach is the competence of science students as competence attitudes, knowledge and skill. The instrument this research is written test, observation sheet and performance assessment sheet. Data analysis on the competense of khowledge, spiritual, social and skill use equality test two averages with t’ is 3,8186; 2,224; 3,3987; 3,316 while for ttable is  2,0792; 6,575; 5,0372; 1,593. based on the hypothesis is concluded that there are significant means the implementation of contextual learning strategy based VAK learning styles (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) on achievement of the knowledge and skills competence of students in grade VII at SMPN 34 Padang and there is no influence means the implementation of contextual learning strategy based VAK learning styles (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) on achievement of the spiritual and skill competence of students in grade VII at SMPN 34 Padang

Abstract

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which is very influential in human life today, especially in the field of education to create better generations for the nation. Education is demanded to be able to improve qualified human resources. The 2013 revised 2017 curriculum was an attempt by the government to answer the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0 era which aims to shape the character and competence and literacy of students. However, the reality on the ground showed that student literacy has not been implemented well. One solution to overcome these problems is to develop a cognitive conflict based Physics Worksheet. The purpose of this research was to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the student worksheet Physics based on cognitive conflict. This type of research is Development Research using the Plomp model. The object of the research was cognitive conflict based student worksheet. Data source validation results from experts by the Physics lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP, the results of practicality by Physics teachers, as well as the results of the practicality of one to one and small groups and effectiveness by students of class X SMAN 7 Padang. The data analysis technique used were descriptive statistical analysis for product validation and practicality and for the effectiveness of using the percentage technique seen from differences in pretest and posttest. The results of data analysis from the research that has been done as following. First, the cognitive conflict based worksheet has a very strong validity with an average value of 86.35. Second, the use of cognitive conflict-based worksheets has a very strong practicality with an average grade of one to one and small group students respectively at 87.32 and 90.90. Third, the use of cognitive conflict based LKS on straight motion and parabolic motion material is effectively used in the learning process to improve students' new literacy. So, it can be concluded that the worksheet based on cognitive conflict in the material of straight motion and parabolic motion is valid, practical, and effective in increasing the new literacy of class X high school students.

Abstract

Development physics lectures based on mobile e-learning is one solution to effective learning process. The purpose of this research is to determine the validity, practicality, and effectivity of mobile e-leaning interactive lectures. The type of research is Research and Development. Design in this research is experiment before and after. The object of research is mobile e-learning interactive lectures. Instruments collecting data are sheet of validaty, sheet of practicality, and cognitive aspects of student learning outcomes. Techniques of data analysis used for validity product, and practicality use likert scale. Effectivity analysis used t test. Based on analysis data there are three results. Firstly, validity of learning materials with average value is 84.7. Second, the average value of learning materials practicality of mobile e-learning interactive by teachers and students is 87.39. Third, learning materials mobile e-learning interactive is effective to increase student learning outcomes with average value of pretest and posttest is 56.59 and 85.76 respectively. Thus, it can be concluded that the learning lectures of mobile e-learning interactive is proper and effective to improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

The learning process demanded by the 2013 curriculum is contextual learning and students are more active in finding non-teacher knowledge which is a source of knowledge. In reality, student learning outcomes are still low and do not involve contextual learning. The solution to this problem is to apply learning resources that emphasize students can learn independently and associate the environment in the learning process. This study aims to determine differences in student learning outcomes using CTL-based E-modules and CTL-based learning videos at SMAN 15 Padang. This type of research is quasi-experimental research with a Randomized Posttest Only Control Group Design research design. The population in this study were all students of class X SMAN 15 Padang registered in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. Sampling in this study was conducted by combining purposive sampling and cluster random sampling techniques. The sample in this study was class X MIA 4 as Experiment 1 class and class X MIA 5 as Experiment 2 class as many as 72 students. In the analysis of self and social attitude competency data and knowledge of normal and homogeneous distributed data, then through the two average similarity test, on the competence of self and social attitudes obtained tcount = 3.32 and on the knowledge competency tcount = 3.87, while the value T table (0.975; 70) = 1.9966 which proves that the value of Thitung is greater than T table, with acceptance criteria Ho if or -1.996 <th <1.996, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted, meaning that there are significant learning outcomes between application of CTL-based E-modules with CTL-based Learning Videos.

Abstract

Education is one of the factors that has a major influence in the progress of the 21st century. The government's efforts to deal with the challenges of the 21st century are to cultivate the school literacy movement. In addition, the government also seeks to improve learning outcomes by implementing Integrated Science learning in junior high schools. Real conditions in the field it seems that of Integrated Science learning outcomes are still relatively low. The right solution to the problem is to use Integrated science student worksheet with scientific literacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of research using science science student worksheet with scientific literacy as the theme of digestive health in class VIII adaptive learning contextual learning model at 7th Public Middle School in Padang. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research. The research design used was Posttest-Only Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this research were all eighth grade students. The sample in this research was class VIII 2 as the experimental class and VIII 3 as the control class obtained by purposive sampling technique and cluster random sampling. The instruments used to collect data are observation sheets to assess attitudes, test sheets allocated to knowledge, and scientific performance sheets for skills competencies. The results of the research were obtained after analyzing the data with descriptive statistical analysis and two average trials. The application of Science student worksheet with scientific literacy in the adaptive contextual learning model of digestive health is related to differences in student learning outcomes with a 95% confidence level. This means that the Science student worksheet with scientific literacy in the adaptive contextual learning model of digestive health has an effect on the results of class VIII of SMP 7 Padang. So, applying the Science Literacy student worksheet is effectively applied in Integrated Science learning.

Abstract

Physics learning is aimed to develop the competence of students that includes aspects of the attitude, knowledge, and skill. The learning objectives are grouped by six levels of cognitive processes that are tailored to the revision of Bloom's taxonomy. The sixth level are combined with the four dimensions of knowledge contained in the physics lesson content. In fact, the attainment of students is not as expected. One of the  solution offered is the use of quality teaching materials, for example worksheet. In general, the school has not been found worksheet which includes four dimensions of knowledge, and six levels of cognitive processes. In this study developed worksheet oriented complexity of content and cognitive processes in a static fluid material. Worksheet design in terms of validity, the practicality and effectiveness. The method used is a research and development (R & D). The model of this research is 4D reduced to 3D comprising the step of define, design, and development. This research subjectis 30 students of class XI SMAN 10 Padang. The object of this research is the design of LKPD oriented complexity of contents and cognitive processes in the static fluid material for learning physics class XI SMA/MA.Collecting data in this study using a validation sheet given to the validator. Data practicalities of using instruments distributed to the practicalities of Physics teachers and students in class XI MIA. Efficacy data derived from the value of N-gain. The research showed the validity of the validator is at 82.51 with very valid criteria. Practicalities of test results by the teacher obtained a value of 94.58 with a very practical criterion and by students at 90.61 with very practical criteria. The effectiveness of the test results obtained by the value of N-gain of 0.67 with the criteria of being. Thus this research has resulted LKPD complexity oriented content and cognitive processes are valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Curriculum of 2013 requires science learning is implemented in an integrated teaching. However, the reality in schools shows that the integrated science learning isn’t implemented well yet. The solution of this problem is to  develop an integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning to improve students’ literacy. The purpose of  research is to determine validity, practicality, and effectiveness of integrated science teaching material. The type of this research is Research and Development (R & D). The object of the research was integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning. Instruments to collect the data consist of validition sheet, practicality test sheet, and effectiveness test sheet. Techniques of data analysis were descriptive statistics analysis, graph method, and correlation compare mean test. Based on data analysis it can be stated that two of research results. First, integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning was very valid with an average value of 83.2. Second, implementation of integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning was practice according teacher and students with average value respectly of 90.0 and 83.5. Besides that, implementation of integrated science teaching material which orient contextual learning was effective to improve the competence of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Students skills consist of  functional literacy, scientific literacy and visual literacy

Abstract

Learning science by 2013’s curriculum one of them is using inquiry learning model that comes with the use of teaching materials such as students worksheet in accordance with the syntax of the learning model. Students Worksheet that exist in schools does not yet support teacher learning model chosen optimally, because whatever the chosen learning model teacher the book remains is same. Therefore conducted a study to investigate the effect of guided inquiry-oriented students worksheet towards science competency of VII’s class SMPN 2 Bukittinggi on inquiry learning model with guided inquiry method. The research is a quasi-experimental design with posttest only control design on two groups of randomly selected classes. The population in this study is all of VII’s classes SMPN 2 Bukittinggi enrolled in the academic year 2014/2015. Sampling using cluster random sampling. Samples are VII.4’s class as an experimental class and control class is VII.5’s class. Data collection techniques for competency attitude using non-test techniques, using technical knowledge competency test, and competence skills in using non-test techniques. Analysis of the data is done by testing the equality of two average. IPA competence students experimental class average rating is better than the control class. The average value of competence attitudes, knowledge, and skills in sequence for the experimental class 82.20; 83.46; and 78.90 and 77.10 for the control class; 78.70; and 71.90. After testing the equality of two average there are significant differences between the experimental class with a third control class in the realm of competence. It can be concluded that the use of guided inquiry-oriented students worksheet have an influence on the science competency of class VII SMPN 2 Bukittinggi on the real level of 0.05

Abstract

The depth of the material is how detailed the concepts that exist in a learning material. Learning with a scientific approach is learning that is designed in such a way with the steps of observe, asking questions, gathering information, associating, and communicating. The research objective was to determine the level of application of a scientific approach and material depth based on the 2013 curriculum for SMA / MA with this type of research, namely descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population in this study was the Edupark Physics book, a master's thesis development research. For standard books, namely Physics textbooks used in West Sumatra, Indonesia. The samples of this study were Physics textbooks Edupark Semurup Kerinci Hot Water and standard books, namely physics book class XI SMA / MA by Muhammad Farchani Rosyid, et al. The data were taken using research instruments and data analysis techniques in the form of analysis sheets The results showed that the depth of material in the Edupark book was higher, namely 79.87% compared to the MFR book which was 66.30% and both of them had the appropriate category. Meanwhile, the results of the application of the scientific approach to the Edupark textbook were 34.84% lower than the MFR book, which was 39.07%, but they had the same category, which was not suitable. Can show that the Edupark Hot Water Semurup Kerinci textbook material depth is higher than the standard book. And for the application of the scientific approach, Edupark's book is still a lot of subject matter that has not applied the steps of the scientific approach.
