Abstract

In learning the teacher still uses conventional models and methods so that students do not play an active role. This has a negative impact on student learning outcomes and has not achieved the objectives of the 2013 curriculum which requires students to play an active role in learning. Simple pictorial-based inquiry learning is expected to be able to train students to observe, ask, try, associate and communicate, with that the increase in the results of these students will increase. This type of research is pre-experimental designs. The form of the research design that will be used is the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were students of class X MIPA 6 of SMAN 13 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 Academic Year totaling 33 people. Sampling in this study using Cluster Random Sampling technique. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive analysis, normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing to determine the influence of independent variables on aspects of knowledge competence. Based on data analysis that has been done in the experimental class, two research results can be presented. The results showed that the average value of knowledge in the post-test was 78.6 higher than the pre-test of 31.1. The results of the hypothesis obtained the results of the study have t count  > t table. with differences in the ability of students that were significant at a significant level of 0.05. This shows the use of pictorial riddle-based inquiry models assisted by phet simulation on simple material of momentum, impulses and harmonious vibrations on learning outcomes of class X students of SMAN 13 Padang. Able to make a greater contribution to improving student learning outcomes

Abstract

The low learning outcome of natural science-Physics in junior high school are caused by lack of student’s understanding toward to a concept and student’s inability to think independently. One of the ways to increase students understanding by using the integrated learning type connected. The aim of the research to know the influence of integrated learning type connected toward to natural science-physics outcome in SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab. Research instrument are consist of learning outcome in cognitive domain; observation format in affective domain, and assessment sheet in psychomotor domain. The data analysis by  t-test. The result of research are show that there is an effect of  integrated learning type connected toward to natural-science physics learning outcome in cognitive and psychomotor domain in significant level 0,05 but not in affective domain.   Keywords: Integrated Learning, Connected Type, Science, Optics, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The results of a introduction study in some SMA in Padang which used 2013's curriculum showed teachers use learning device still dont meet the rules of competency standards, content standards, process standards, assessment standards and competence standards. Besides that, the common learning devices are not used properly. So the achievement of knowledge competence of students dont meet expectations. This study aims to generate device learning Physics oriented to guided inquiry are suitable for use in physics learning in SMA/MA review of validity and practicalities. The type of this research is the Research and Development (R&D) ADDIE models (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate) is reduced to develop. This research included 8 experts judgment thatare 5 lecturers of Physics FMIPA UNP as validator, 3 Physics teacher as practitioner and one class of students are ten grade students of MIPA 4 SMAN 9 Padang. Data obtained are quantitative and qualitative data, the data observation and interviews, the value of knowledge documentation, and questionnaire. The average results of the validation device physics learning 83.73% in the range (0-100) in the valid criteria. While the average results of the practicalities by teachers 93.61% in the range (0-100) in the practical criteria, and the average of the practicalities of 33 students of instructional materials 80% in the practical criteria. The results of this research indicate the device learning Physics oriented to guided inquiry fit for use in physics learning in SMA/MA review of validity and practicalities.

Abstract

Student’s achievement on competence of behavior, knowledge and sklii in Physic subject has not been in optimal results, yet. It is caused by less-motivated students while learning Physic and they do not understand well about the lesson; moreover, the learning itself is monotonous and less-attractive. So that, this research used Cooperative Learning Model, Jigsaw II, which character values in learning material is assumed to increase student’s competence in Physic. This researc used Quasi Experiment Research with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population of this research was students of XI MIA at SMAN 5 Padang. The sample in this research was taken by Cluster Random Sampling technique; as a result, XI MIA 1 and XI MIA 5 were chosen as sample of this research which have 28 students each class. The instrumentations of this research were observation sheet and self-assessment for behavior competence, writing tes for knowledge competenece and rubric score for skill competence. For analyzing the data, the researcher used t-test at the 0,05 significance levelo for these three competences. The results revealed that the using of Cooperative Learning Model, Jigsaw II, which learning material had character values gave psitive impact on competence of behavior, knowledge and skill for students of XI MIA at SMAN 5 Padang

Abstract

             21st century requires students be able to learn independently, use higher-order thinking skills, find information and have good competence. For this demand the government has made improvements to the 2013 revised 2017 curriculum. The curriculum contains four points, namely strengthening of character education (PPK), 4C skills, Literacy and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The focus of the discussion is Higher Order Thinking Skills. HOTS consists of 4 indicators namely critical thinking, creative thinking, decision making and problem solving. Actually not all students can find information without guidance. The learning model fits the indicators mentioned is the guided inquiry. In applying the guided inquiry, it will be maximized if supported by Student Worksheets. Through Student Worksheet teachers and students will easier to carry out learning. HOTS-oriented Student Worksheets in the guided inquiry model have several advantages. First, it is not used for practical work only but can be used to guide activities during class learning. Because there are clear learning instructions for teachers and students. Second, it can improve students' HOTS abilities, because they are oriented with HOTS indicators. Third, it can improve students' ability to collect information independently because the model used is guided inquiry. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). The R & D research method is a research method used to produce certain products. The validity and practicality values of the HOTS-oriented Student Worksheet in the guided inquiry model are 81,78% and 94,75%  according to the teacher and 85,92% according to the student.

Abstract

Learning material by integrating competency in learning process is important. In fact integration of competency in learning material does not conducted yet. An alternative solution to solve this problem was to apply the ICT learning material by integrating Mathematics, Science, technology, disaster, and character values (MSTDC). The purpose of this research were to determine the competency of the Physics students and to investigate the effect ICT learning material by integrating MSTDC to the competency of Physics students grade XI  at SMAN 1 Padang. Type of research was quasi experimental research with randomized control group only design. The population in this research were the students grade XI MIA SMAN I Padang who were registered in the 2014/2015 academic year. Sampling technique was purposive sampling. There were three instruments in this research, tose are test sheet of knowledge domain, observation sheet of attitude domain, and performance sheet of skill domain. Based on the data analysis could be presented the result of this research. First, the average value of students which use ICT learning material of Physics by integrating MSTDC in knowledge domain, attitude domain, and skill domain respectively 87.52, 90.52, and 86.90. Abstract

Based on the curriculum of 2013 science learning at school is implemented in an integrated manner using a scientific approach or scientific process-based approach. Integrated science learning connects physical, chemical and biological material because these three materials cannot be separated. The reality at schools shows that integrated science learning is still carried out separately and lack of student understanding in integrating science materials. The solution to this problem is to apply the Integrated Science Student Model Book Networked with the Heart Electricity Theme. This resesarch aims to investigate the influence of integrated science book modeled network students with the theme of heart electricity to the mastery of science material for students at class VIII MTsN 6 model Padang. The type of research conducted is a quasi-experimental research design with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research. The population in this research were all students at class VIII MTsN 6 model Padang registered in the 2017/2018 academic year. Sampling in the research was carried out with purposive sampling and cluster random sampling techniques. The sample in this resesarch is class VIII.1 as an experimental class of 36 peoples. The research instrument consists of a test sheet of learning outcomes to assess aspects of knowledge, a performance assessment sheet to assess aspects of student skills and students' self-evaluation sheets. The data in this research were analyzed using descriptive analysis, simple linear regression, and product moment correlation test at a significance level of 0.05 for both aspects of competence. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is obtained data for aspects of knowledge, and skills. The results of data analysis showed that the average post-test value was higher than the average value of the pre-test, namely 81.39> 49.03. In knowledge competence the coefficient of determination is 13.64%. In the skill competence, the determination coefficient value is 13.63%. Quantitatively, the working hypothesis that reads "There is an influence which means the use of integrated science students' book networked model with the the heart electricity theme to the science material mastery of students at class VIII MTsN 6 Model Padang" can be accepted at a significant level of 0.05. Mastery of students' science materials can also be seen from the results of the self-evaluation sheet filled by students who stated that they understood more than 65% of the material they had learned. Thus, the use of integrated science students 'book networked model with the heart electricity theme influences the student mastery material on aspects of knowledge and skills.

Abstract

Changes in the industrial revolution 4.0 is a contextual aspect that is happening right now is a rapid change due to the discovery of new technologies. The changes are not only linear, but exponential. The impact is not only improving and improving, but it changes fundamentally which makes shifts in many aspects of life. These three STM components are related to each other. Science, Technology, and Society (STM) is an interdisciplinary field of study that seeks to explore and understand the many ways that modern science and technology shape modern culture, values, and institutions, on the one hand, and how modern values form science and technology. The existence of integration in the curriculum makes learning materials close to real-world situations. Thus, this integration is relevant to science because the natural essence found in the real world is an integrated pattern. Various problems are offered a solution by applying and using Multistrategic community technology. STM approach is an Indonesian translation of STS where this approach was first developed in the United States in the 1980s, and subsequently developed in the United Kingdom and Australia. Research objectives are needed for the final results to be achieved in research. Based on the background description, it can be stated the purpose of the study to be more directed. The purpose of this research is to analyze physics textbooks in class XI term 1 based on categories using Science, Technology and Society.Based on the results of analysis of Class XI Physics textbooks with the STM approach it can be concluded that 1) The aspects of science have a more dominant value compared to the aspects of technology and society; 2) Appropriate textbooks (“very good” category) with the STM approach are class XI Physics books for SMA / MA Class XI Curriculum 2013 Revised 2016

Abstract

Science Process Skills (SPS) are skills used in scientific inquiry that can facilitate students discovering facts, concepts, and can apply theories in everyday life. One of the supporting science process skills is the textbook. Textbooks are the main source of learning in the learning process. The use of textbooks in West Sumatra varies greatly. This study aims to determine the level of SPS offers in textbooks used in secondary schools in West Sumatra. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach with a population of all physics textbooks for Class XII semester 2 published in Indonesia and used in secondary schools in West Sumatra. The sample of this study were four Physics textbooks that were most widely used in secondary schools in West Sumatra and three of them were recommended by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The instrument used was validated by 3 experts. the first expert got a value of 0.98% categorized as very valid, the second expert obtained a value of 0.96 categorized very valid and the third expert got a value of 0.85 categorized as very valid. The validated instrument has 10 components and is defined on each indicator to be 37 instrument points. Data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation. The results were obtained that physics textbooks written by Muhammad Farchani Rosyid, and published by the Triumvirate in 2016, had the highest SPS bid level, whereas physics textbooks written by Marthen Kanginan and published by Erlangga in 2017 had the lowest SPS service level.

Abstract

The research is done to know influence of implementation inquiry learning type pictorial riddle in animation form for the physics students result class XI IPA at SMAN 2 Batusangkar. The type of research is quasi exsperiment research. The Research of design is randomized posttest only control group design. The population in this research is all students of class XI IPA at SMAN 2 Batusangkar in academic 2013/2014. The take of sampel was selected by cluster random sampling technique. The research data includes the learning outcomes of the three domains. The research of data are cognitive domain, affective domain, and psychomotor domain. The data was analized with mean equality test at 5% significance level.
