Abstract

Objective of this research is to determine  the effect of using ICT in worksheet based STS to learning outcomes of 7th grade students in SMPN 1 Padang. Type of this research is quasi-experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design. All of 7th grade students in SMPN 1 Padang in academic year 2012/2103 as population of this research. Data of this research was data of learning outcomes.The data was analyzed by the mean equality test. Based on analyzis of data, we can conclude that there was using ICT in worksheet based STS give significance effect to learning outcome of 7th grade students in SMPN 1 Padang for cognitive domains at significance level 5%, but there was no significance effect for affective and psychomotor domains at significance level 5%. Abstract

Laboratory activities as a means of supporting physics learning are often limited by several things such as time constraints, security, the availability of tools and abstract subject matter. Kinetic Gas theory is one of the concept of physics that is abstract. One of the media that can be used to visualize abstract physics subject matter is virtual laboratory. The purpose of research is to determine the effect of the use of Virtual laboratory assisted LKPD in Discovery learning model to the achievement of physics competence of students of grade XI SMA Negeri 5 Padang. The type of research used is quasi experiment with posttest only control group design. The population in research is all students of grade XI SMA Negeri 5 Padang academic year 2017/2018. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. Based on data analysis, for there are three result of research : 1) the average value of physics learning result in attitude competence has continuous improvement, 2) the average value of learning result physics in both grade samples 79.44 and 73.99 for knowledge competence; 3) average physics learning outcomes in both sample gradees 85.45 and 81.58 for skill competencies. From t test, thitung> ttable is obtained so that alternative hypothesis is accepted for knowledge competence, while for skill competence from t test, it is obtained thitung> ttable so that alternative hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

The nature of Physics is a science that studies contextual and authentic natural phenomena. However, the fact shows the ability of students in to critically, the motivation, and the problem-solving ability are still in low category. These problems can be solved by many ways, one of them integrating earthquake material into Physics material and also by applying SSCS Problem Solving in learning process. All of these are provided interestingly as a teaching material in a form of LKS (Student Worksheet). The integration of earthquake material is intended to form a character of disaster preparedness to students. The purposes of this research are: 1) To investigate the influence of LKS that integrates earthquake material, 2) To investigate the contribution of LKS that integrates earthquake material, 3) To investigate the influence of SSCS Problem Solving model toward Physics competencies in Class XI of SMAN 4 Padang. It is a Quasy-Experiment research with  Randomized Subjects Post Test Only Control Group Design. The population of the research is all of Class XI MIA registered at 2015/2016 year of study. The technique of sampling is done by using Purposive Sampling in which Class XI MIA 1 as the experimental class and X1MIA 2 as the control class. The data analysis in this research used test of normality; homogeneity; the similarity of two average in real stage 0,05; linear regression test; and the results of these research are 1) There’s an increase on student’s competence as the result of integrating  earthquake into Physic’s leraning material; 2) The contribution of LKS that integrated earthquake material to influence the student’s competency affective 63.62%, 81.02% to knowledge, and skill 42.33% ; 3) There are influence of SSCS Problem Solving model toward Physics competencies of Class IX of SMAN 4

Abstract

One of the goals of learning is that students' cognitive abilities increase. In an effort to improve cognitive abilities, there are times when students need to get guidance so that their thinking skills increase from the average ability they have. One form of guidance is the scaffolding strategy. This study aims to overcome these problems by producing student worksheets based on scaffolding strategies to improve cognitive abilities, and determine their worth in terms of validity and practicality. This research was conducted in class X SMAN 2 Pariaman in odd semester 2019/2020. This research is a type of research and development (R & D) using the 4D development model which is reduced to 3D (define, design and development). The student worksheet developed involved 5 validators and 2 physics teachers as practitioners and 1 class to test practicality. Instruments of validity and practicality are used after going through discussions with the validator with indicators of development goals. The analysis technique used in this research is quantitative analysis using the moment kappa formula. The results obtained from the feasibility test and practicality of scaffolding-based LKPD based on validator assessment are categorized as valid, with an average value of kappa moment of 0.85 in the very high category. Based on practitioners' assessment, it is categorized as practical with an average kappa moment of 0.89 by teachers and 0.74 by students. So that scaffolding-based LKPD can be said to be valid and practically used in high school physics class X learning.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are not optimal due to the model of learning and teaching materials used are less varied and no load values of character. Therefore, researchers are trying to use teaching materials with a character-based learning model POE (Prediction, Observation, Explanation) to improve student learning outcomes. This research is a Quasi Experiment Research with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The study population was a class XI student of SMAN 5 Padang listed in the Academic Year 2014/2015. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. Research data collection in the form of a written test for competency knowledge and competency observation sheet for scoring rubric for the attitude and skill competencies. Research data analysis techniques using t-test at the 0.05 significance level for all three competencies. Based on the analysis of data it can be concluded the application of teaching materials through a character-based learning model POE (Prediction, Observation, Explanation) the learning outcomes of students of class XI SMAN 5 Padang effect to aspects of knowledge competence and attitude but not to competence skills

Abstract

Pendidikan memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan dan memaksimalkan semua potensi yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan oleh pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, di mana salah satunya adalah perubahan kurikulum 2013 yang direvisi menjadi kurikulum 2017. Selain itu, revisi 2013 menjadi kurikulum 2017 berisi beberapa hal penting, salah satunya adalah peningkatan literasi siswa dalam belajar. Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan, keadaan sekolah menunjukkan bahwa penerapan literasi sains dalam pembelajaran fisika belum pada keadaan optimal, literasi yang digunakan hanyalah literasi fungsional. Salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah mengembangkan modul fisika dengan literasi ilmiah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui validitas modul fisika yang mengandung literasi ilmiah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D). Selanjutnya, prosedur penelitian ini terdiri dari masalah potensial, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba produk, revisi produk, uji coba aplikasi produk ,, dan produk massal. Penelitian ini terbatas pada tahap validasi desain dan revisi desain. Objek penelitian adalah modul fisika dengan literasi ilmiah dalam materi Gerak Lurus dan Parabola Kelas X SMA / MA. Oleh karena itu, instrumen untuk validasi modul fisika adalah lembar angket. Validator bahan ajar fisika yang mengandung literasi ilmiah adalah 3 dosen fisika FMIPA UNP. Berdasarkan analisis data dari penelitian, Modul fisika yang mengandung literasi ilmiah dalam materi gerak sangat valid dengan nilai validitas rata-rata 86,02. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul fisika sarat dengan literasi saintifik pada materi gerak lurus dan gerak parabola di kelas X SMA / MA yang telah dibuat ini cocok untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika karena memenuhi kelayakan dasar pada hasil validasi para ahli.

Abstract

Literation is needed in facing of 21 st century challengers. To face this challenge The Government of Indonesia encourages the literacy movement at school, which is abbreviated with GLS. The real condition show that science learning is still now well implemented, and student literacy is still slow. The solution of the problem is applying integrated science to charged literacy of the digital age. The objective of the research is to determine the effect of integrated teaching materials on the theme respiration health and exretion of digital literacy on the competence of students of class VIII SMPN 15 Padang.The tipe of reasearch conducted is quasi experimental. The research designed used was a nonequivalent control gruop with posttest only. The population of this study is all students of class VIII registered in semester 1 academic year 2017/2018 SMPN 15 Padang.. This study uses two sample classes. The sample class students are 64 students. This sample class is chosen by combining purposive sampling technique and random cluster sampling. The research instrument is a written test sheet for the knowledge aspect, an observation sheet for the attitude aspect, and a performance assesment sheet for the skill aspect. Research date were analyzed by using descriptive analysis and equality test of two averages.From the data analysis, it can be found that the application of science an integrated teaching materials of the theme of respiratory and excavated health to the knowledge, attitude, and skill aspect of the students of grade VIII SMPN 15 Padang at the real level of 95%. A positive influence on the use of integrated science materials can improve aspects of knowledge, attitudes, and skills. Thus an integrated science teaching material of respiratory and excavated healthcare excretion of the digital era is well used for integrated science learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce LKPD based on discovery learning models in wave topic assisted by android applications that are feasible for physics learning class XI, and determine the feasibility of LKPD based on discovery learning models assisted with android applications. This research focuses on making LKPD products according to the manufacturing steps based on the modified Ministry of National Education (2010). The research conducted was twice the validity test of LKPD by four validators, consisting of three lecturers from the Department of Physics UNP and one teacher from Bukittinggi High School 5. The results of this study are in the form of making LKPD based on discovery learning models assisted by android applications that are suitable for use in the learning process. When seen from the results of the validity test, the value of the validity 1 is 80 (%) and the validity 2 is 86 (%). Based on the results of the two validity tests it can be concluded that the LKPD made in this study is suitable for use in physics learning for class XI SMA / MA.

Abstract

The 21st century skills in the 4.0 revolution era demanded that students have new literacy and disaster literacy abilities. The solution to overcome these problems is to develop physics teaching materials that integrate new literacy and disasters. The purpose of this study is validity and practicality of the use of teaching materials integrating new literacy and disaster. Step of Research & Development (R&D) conducted until the product limited trial for the students in XI Senior High School. The data obtained in this study are the validation of the physics lecturer at the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP and the practicality of student in XI grade SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. The instruments used are validation and practicality test sheets. Analysis of the data used is the analysis of validity and practicality analysis. The results of the study showed that validity of teaching materials integrating new literacy and disaster very well with a value of 86. 17. The second result shows that teaching material has an excellent practicality of 88. 96. So, it can be concluded that the physics teaching material is heat material and kinetic theory of gas integrating new literacy and diseaster is valid and practical use for students of class XI Senior High School.

Abstract

Good human resources can be produced by emphasizing graduate with good character who have skills and relevant knowledge. The fact in learning physics in school, Physics has not been fully linked to  other disciplines. One solution in this case is to create learning materials with integrating Math, Sciences, technology, disasters, and good character based on ICT. The purpose of this research is to determine the  validity, description, practicality, and effectivity of learning material with integrating relevant knowledge and skills based on ICT. The type of this research is research and development (R&D) with before-after    experiment design. As an object of this research is learning material with integrating MSTBK based on ICT. The instruments that used to collect data are validity sheet, practicality sheet, learning outcomes test sheet, and observation sheet for the character. There are two results of the data analysis. First, learning material with integrating relevant knowledge and skills based on ICT for the first semester of grade XI is valid with average of 83,42 by experts and 76,82 by practitioners. Learning material’s design consists of home, identity materials, introduction, learning materials, exercises, evaluation, reference, download, chat, and discussion forums. Second, learning materials is practic with an average value is 88,24. This learning materials is effective to increase student learning outcomes and improve the students’s character value
