Abstract

Improving the quality of learning aspects can not be separated from teaching materials and learning models used. Teaching materials that can attract students to learn one of them by using Student Worksheets (LKS). One solution that can be used is developing LKS oriented quantum learning models. This study aims to produce science-based LKS oriented quantum learning models that are valid, practical, and effective so that they can be adjusted by semester 1 VIII grade students. The research conducted included the type of Research and Development (R & D). As object of research, the Science LKS is oriented towards the quantum learning model. The data collection instruments used in this study were: Questionnaire for expert validation, Questionnaire of practicality according to science teacher, Questionnaire of practicality according to students, and sheet of pretest postes on aspects of knowledge. Product analysis techniques and data used are descriptive techniques, graph methods, descriptive statistical analysis, and comparative analysis using t-test.Based on the data analysis that has been done, the results of this study were obtained. First, science-based worksheets oriented to the quantum learning model in class VIII in the first semester of junior high school are in a very valid category with a validity value of 86.12. Second, the science worksheet oriented to this quantum learning model is very practical with 89.84 for the results of the average teacher response and 81.63 for the results of the average student response. Third, the use of scientific approach oriented learning devices is effective in learning which is marked by an increase in the competency of students' natural science students significantly between after and before the use of learning devices at a real level of 5%.

Abstract

Student competence in physics in classification X MIA in SMAN 6 Padang were not as expected due to several factors, teachers rarely use the variety of learning models, teachers did not facilitate students to learn in groups, teachers did not optimally facilitates students learn in groups, and teacher did not use the learning media through ICT. Therefore, the study was conducted in order to provide a solution by applying non-print instructional materials through cooperative learning type Group Investigation (GI) to increasee the student competence of physics in classification X MIA in SMAN 6 Padang.To achieve the goal of the research, we have to do quasi-experimental research with Randomized Control Group-Only Design. This research has a population are students of classification X MIA in SMAN 6 Padang enrolled in the Academic Year 2016/2017, and sampling using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used the format observation for attitudes competence, written test for knowledge competence, and for performance using a scoring rubric for skills competence. Data were analyzed using charts analysis for the attitude competence, similarity analysis of two average for knowledge competence and skills competence.Based on the research that has been done, the results of the analysis the data obtained can be concluded that there is a difference which means applying non-print instructional materials through cooperative learning type Group Investigation (GI) to attitude competence, knowledge competence, skills competence at significant level of 0,05

Abstract

One of the factors that cause low learning outcomes of learners is the low ability of learners in solving physics problems. This problem solving ability can be improved through learning using LKPD of physics by orient problem-solving strategy toward the achievement of the competence of students of Class X SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of LKPD physics-oriented problem-solving strategies to the achievement of competence learners.The type of research conducted is quasi experiment with randomized control group design postest only design. The study population included all MIA class X students enrolled in the even semester of the academic year 2016/2017. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. Research data is the value of competence knowledge, attitude and skills of learners. The research instrument is the final test to measure the knowledge competence, the observation sheet to measure the attitude competency, the performance appraisal sheet to measure the competency of the skill. The research data were analyzed by two-equation equality test. Two average equality tests were performed for the learning result value of each competency of the two sample classes.Based on the data analysis, the average score for the experimental class and control class are 83,47 and 78,16, the attitude competence is 87,04 and 79,8 and the skills competence is 88,7 and 83 , 3. Data for the knowledge, attitude and skill competencies of the two sample classes are normally distributed and have homogeneous variance, so that the two equality tests are tested with t test. From the calculation results obtained t count value for knowledge competence that is 2.773 and t table = 2,00; On attitude competence obtained t arithmetic that is 7,1911 and t table = 2,00; And on skill competence t obtained is 4.189 and t table = 2,00. In the three competencies are obtained t arithmetic> t table, means t count is outside the acceptance area Ho, so Hi accepted. Thus, the conclusion of this research is there is a significant influence from the application of LKPD of physics by orient problem-solving strategy toward the achievement of the competence of students of Class X SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung accepted

Abstract

The problem of learning in this research is learning every one is a teacher here with leaflets charged values character in the attainment of competence students. The purpose to be achieved is to know the influence of the implementation of a strategy of learning every one is a teacher here with leaflets charged values character in the attainment of competence physics students grade X SMAN 5 Padang. Methods used in this research are experiment methods of this research is  quasi experiment with randomized control group only design. Population in this research is all students grade X in SMA 5 Padang that registered in the academic year 2013 / 2014. The technique of sampling is cluster random sampling. The samples to this research is two classes X, class X 1 as a class experimentation and class X 7 as a control class.The research data include the achievement of competence in two aspects, the cognitive and affective aspects. Engineering assessment was done by using a test for non-technical aspects of cognitive and affective aspects of the test for. The data obtained were analyzed using two test average similarity with the real level of 0.05. Based on test data that has been done, it can be concluded that the application of learning strategies every one is a teacher here with leaflets charged character values in the achievement of competence Physics class X student of SMAN 5 Padang, affects the results of physics students' learning competence

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to investigate the effect of worksheet based-problem solving on students' critical thinking skills in rotational dynamics and elasticity . The research design used is posttest-only. The study involved two sample classes: the experiment class and the control class. Data collection techniques in the form of written tests with a model of description questions. The assessment is based on indicators of critical thinking skills that can be observed The results of the study show by applying the same learning model that is the problem-solving learning model, it can be said that both sample classes occurred an increase in the value of critical thinking skills. However, the critical thinking skills of each indicator are higher indicators of analysis, evaluation, and inference in the experiment class compared to the control class, and the average increase in students' grades is seen from final exam scores and the final test scores of the study in the experiment class are higher than the control class. This means that worksheet based-problem solving is instrumental in improving students' critical thinking skills in rotational dynamics and elasticity materials in Grade XI of High School in Kerinci.

Abstract

The 21st century education requires human resources who have broad insight, good critical thinking, and good literacy. The Indonesian government created the 2013 curriculum to answer the demands of 21st century education. Science learning in the 2013 curriculum must be implemented in an integrated patter. The real condition at school showed that science learning can’t be implemented properly. One solution to solve this problem is to develop integrated Science learning material with scientific literacy. The purpose of this research was to determine the validity of integrated Science learning material with scientific literacy. The type of research was Research and Development (R & D). The object of the research was the integrated Science learning material with scientific literacy on the theme of the role of energy for living things. The instrument for validating this learning material was a questionnaire sheet. The instrument for evaluating validity was composed of four components, namely the content feasibility, presentation, language, and graphics. The validators to assess the validity of integrated Science learning materials consist of five experts from three physics lectures, one biology lecturer, and one science lecturer. The data analysis technique was descriptive statistics. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the average value of validation of integrated Science learning material with scientific literacy on the theme of the role of energy for living things for the four components of assessment of teaching materials was 87.86. Thus, the average value of validation of integrated science learning material can be classified into a very good category.

Abstract

Abstract The research is development research that perpose for: 1) Understanding validity of learning book that contain the character values in material of work and momentum for physics learning class XI senior high school. 2) describing the making of result learning book that contain the character values in material of work and momentum for physics learning class XI senior high school. 3) Understanding practically and evectivitity of learning book that contain the character values in material of work and momentum for physics learning class XI senior high school. This learning book was developed use research and development metod. As object of research was learning book that contain character value for class XI first semester senior high school in material of work and momentum and subject of try out was student in class XI science 3 SMAN 1 Batang Anai. The result of this research: first learning book that contain character values is very valid with average velue is 92,05. Second, desain of this learning book such as: cover, main page, learning guidelines, concept map, standar competence, content of learning material, supporting information, examples exercisesm worksheet, homework, evaluation, key answer, feedback and reference. Third, the result of practically is very practice with average value, is 92,88 for teachers conception and 91,13 for students conception. The result of efectivity in cognitive domain have increace 21,75, average in effective domain is 89,11 and average in psychomotor domain was 89,13.   Keywords: character values, learning book, work and momentum

Abstract

Student’s low physics learning outcomes is predicted as the result of less effective and creative learning strategies used in the learning process. One of the strategies for effective and creative learning is a creative and productive based student worksheet learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of creative and productive based student worksheet learning model towards productive physics learning outcomes in class X SMA N 1 Ranah Batahan. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research (Quasi Experiment Research) with the study design Randomized Control Group Only Design. The study population was all class X students enrolled in the academic year 2013/2014. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. Research data collection techniques such as written tests for cognitive, and scoring rubrics for psychomotor aspects. Data were analyzed using t-test at the 0.05 significance level. The result obtained by the average value of the experimental class in the cognitive is 70.5 and the control class is 62.58, on the psychomotor obtained average value is 77.13 and the experimental control class is 72.96. The hypothesis was tested using the t-test, the cognitive domain obtained t = 2.51, the affective domain obtained t = 7.69, on the psychomotor obtained t = 4.27, and the table = 1.67 significance level of 0.05, meaning t count>t table so that Ho is rejected. The conclusion from this study is that there is a significant impact of the usage of creative and productive based student worksheet learning model towards the results of physics learning in class X SMA N 1 Ranah Batahan

Abstract

Worksheets that can help students develop 21st century skills are worksheets that contain indicators of 21st  century skills. Based on the results of preliminary observations made in the field, the student worksheets used by schools in Pasaman District still vary. It is not known whether these various worksheets include indicators of 21st  century skills. Therefore, a study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the 21st  century skill indicator in physics worksheets grade X Semester 1 in Pasaman District.This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population in this study were all Physics Worksheets grade X Semester 1 used by 12 public Senior High School in Pasaman Districts. Furthermore, for the school sampling technique using purposive sampling technique with schools selected by high category schools, medium category schools and low category schools based on the results of the 2019 National Examination of the total high school population in Pasaman Regency. Meanwhile, the sample of student worksheets in this study used a total sampling technique. The sample of worksheet in this study were 2 worksheet published by publishers which were used the most by schools in Pasaman district, and 3 worksheet made by physics subject teachers. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the 21st century skill indicator with the highest 37% is in the LKS Intan Pariwara by Risdiyani Chasanah and friends. Meanwhile, and friends with a proportion of 12% in the category of not facilitating.

Abstract

One approach which is suitable for learning Physics is the contextual approach (CTL approach). To implement CTL approaches the textbook used must be able to facilitate CTL approach. Currently there are many textbooks in circulation with various writers. For this reason, it is necessary to find out whether the outstanding textbooks have been able to facilitate CTL approaches in learning. The solution to this problem is to analyze the extent to which textbooks facilitate the implementation of CTL approaches. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population in this study are all senior high school physics class X textbooks circulating in West Sumatra. The sampling technique used Purposive Sampling type. The sample in this study was the four most textbooks used in West Sumatra Senior High School based on survey results. Data collection techniques in this study is study of documentation. The instrument used for data collection was an analysis sheet containing 7 CTL components. Then the instrument translated into 39 indicators. Each indicator contains one instrument. Data in this study were analyzed using simple statistics. From the research results the best book in facilitating CTL approach is Mediatama’s book with a percentage of 68.94% and the lowest score meeting is the Tiga Serangkai’s book with a percentage of 62.07%. All Textbooks are suitable for use in physics learning using the CTL approach.
